3321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: December 22, 2021, 11:18:14 PM
Betting isn't for the broke! That's how I see it because if you barely have enough for yourself and you gamble the little you have, you'll end up running bankrupt and getting more wretched.

You are right, the gambling principle to follow is to gamble what you can afford, how can a broke person afford to gamble at all? If he will do that, then he certainly has a problem and that is being stupid because what he is doing is digging a hole for him to bury himself in the long run.

When someone is gambling, he should feel the entertainment as well, and a broke person would never feel it.
In the end, understanding the risk and reward is a must, otherwise, we are gambling unrealistically.

Lakers had a bad game again, you guys did the right decision fading them as the Phoenix Suns clearly dominated the Lakers again. I'm looking at the boxscore, I'm not happy with the production because only Westbrook and Lebron had a decent contribution, the rest did nothing except for Ariza who scored 12 points with a perfect FG shooting.

3324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 90% is already there, only 10% is left on: December 21, 2021, 11:37:36 PM
What more can we ask for at this moment, bitcoin had its bull run where the price skyrocketed, and even if we see this many times but if it would only result in a huge correction, I think the market will not mature because of the high volatility like this brought by manipulation.

We need some real adoption and hopefully when every supply will be mine the market will be less stable and probably more regulated so we will reach our goal of massive adoption.
3325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: December 21, 2021, 11:11:46 PM
The community will not be surprised anymore if someone would claim to be satoshi,  they'll not believe it as they have already put in their mind that "satoshi" is "anonymous"... That would not change, it's our belief from the start bitcoin was invented and there's no reason to change that belief because bitcoin is successful that way.
3326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 21, 2021, 10:42:04 PM
This is quite interesting because if I'm not mistaken it's been a long time since playing Russell in the international arena and if I'm not mistaken it's been at least one or two years he hasn't played again.
According to https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/479775, his last fight was February 8. 2021, and won via UD, that's over a year already, almost 2 years until his next fight which is scheduled in January next year.
That's a good advantage for Magsayo as he is the more active boxer here, he recently won by KO against Julio Ceja who is a tough opponent. It was a good test for Magsayo, he struggle early in the fight but ended the game with an impressive power punch, if he can continue that momentum in this fight, well, there's a huge chance that he will become the champion.

we can monitor the odds here https://www.proboxingodds.com/, but it seems like the betting odds for this fight are not yet listed.
Without a doubt it could prove to be a massive advantage in Magsayo’s favor, there was a time in which boxers were more active and some of them even got to fight 100 or even more fights, those days are over but even then a long period of inactivity can be more than enough to reduce your skills in a significant manner, after all even if Russell trains himself it is not the same as getting in the ring, so Magsayo could not really ask for a better opportunity than this to become a champion.

If Gary Rusell will underestimate his opponent and will not take the proper training, then probably we might see a new champion in this division. Magsayo has always been so hungry and he was given a chance to be in the MP promotion where it gives him more opportunity to fight abroad, and this is his biggest opportunity, so I think he will give everything here in the training and make sure he'll get the belt.
3327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: December 21, 2021, 10:24:57 PM

Going back on the topic then Ancajas would beat up Ioka but due to another delays then they would really be having more time to train but
this is actually making things even more longer.

Both of them will have more training, I'm not sure if it's good for them but sometimes delays are bad for the boxers as they only have a certain time to train, otherwise, they'll overtrain and it's not good for their body. However, we can understand that delays happened these days due to the pandemic, so hopefully, they know that and they'll adjust accordingly.
3328  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: December 21, 2021, 12:05:06 PM
Saying banks will die is just like saying government will seize to exists which is impossible, government will make centralised entities and powers to live on till the end of time because that's they can maintain their power, decentralized is striping off government power 100% and that's why gov don't like decentralized entities, it's giving real power to the people
Decentralized system promise to fulfill banking without a bank, which in real life is not possible due to the fact hat majority of what we need can only be bought by fiat, and with that said, without bank fiat would not exist, I hope everyone understands that simple logic.
3329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 21, 2021, 11:35:29 AM
Chicago Bulls got another win by defeating the team at the last place in the Western Conference, Houston Rockets. Since Harden left the team, Rockets have been falling apart and we see this clearly in their performances. They won only 10 times in 31 games so far. And they lost this game by 133-118 also. Bulls continue chasing the leader team which are Brooklyn Nets now. They revolutionized their roster and they have its benefits this season a lot.
As usual, DeRozan had another great game with 26 points, I think he will never fall below with the 20+ points per game and he is having a great season with the team that clearly fits for him, I'm sure everyone can see that. No Lavine, no problem for the Bulls, they still win easily.
3330  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: December 20, 2021, 11:07:47 PM
You could say that govs want to control people but the govs priorities the control of money. I don't think banks will just go away and die. I would rather believe that banks will start to use cryptocurrency and have their own exchange then they will earn profit from it. There is a wallet/exchange regulated by a central bank in my country.
To control money is to control the population so you will understand why they want to control the money and it's circulation because to control it is to maintain the status quo. To be honest, I think that crypto will not be able to defeat the banks because as time goes by, crypto innovators are starting to look alike the conventional financial institutions as they want to curry favor from the government.
If crypto innovators need the support of the government to grow their business, then there's no way a government institution like the banking industry will be abolished just to give way to crypto. We have to understand that the fiat system is very powerful, it's the resemblance of the economic status of a country and the government has their own fiat which they can't do with bitcoin and crypto that are decentralized.
3331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin on: December 20, 2021, 10:37:51 PM
The popularity dragged the attention of government and the government made its popularity there main course by spreading FUD.

No good government would do that, it's just right that the government will regulate crypto as there are a lot of scammers trying to victimize the uninformed investors, they are just protecting the people with the set of rules used in regulating the crypto market. Look at the early stage of crypto, there are plenty of scams because we easily believe in instant returns and we don't even bother making deep research before investing because we got caught with the hype and the FOMO.
3332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 20, 2021, 10:16:58 PM
Yes, I have no doubts, DeRozan surprised me with his performance in this last game, he played so good... well, I believe the Bulls are practically in the playoffs this season, let's see how they perform in the playoffs, I'll be anxious to see them in the playoffs this season!
Don't be, DeRozan will lead the Bulls to succeed in the playoffs, they might not win the championship but I think they have a decent chance to at least reach the Easter conference finals, this trio (DeRozan, Lavine, and Vucevic) are playing very well so I would trust and be confident on what they can achieve.

After seeing Boston Celtics' performance against Golden State Warriors, I felt like that they would win a game very soon. Because they made really big difficulties for Golden State in general. And their next game was going to be vs New York Knicks. This was a very competitive game last night and Celtics really managed to be the victor by 114-107. There was a really good team play from Celtics.

Celtics are good at home and Knicks aren't really a great team like the Warriors. They needed that win because they have been losing games especially in the road and good thing they made it although it wasn't as dominant as what we are expecting from a home team.

Tatum, Brown, and Richardson, all 3 scored over 20 points and that was great teamwork from them.

Hopefully, Richardson will give a consistent production like what he gave in the succeeding games.

A little off-topic though, not part of the liquidation or audit process/discussion.

The Philippines now is hit by a super Typhoon Rai or Odette, I think if there's still funds remaining, they can use it to help the victims.

Super Typhoon Rai slams into the Philippines as tens of thousands evacuate

Quote
(CNN)Super Typhoon Rai, known locally as Odette, slammed into the eastern coast of the Philippines on Thursday afternoon, bringing torrential rain and the threat of widespread flooding across the archipelago.

The storm intensified rapidly as it approached the coast, strengthening from a Category 1 to a Category 5 storm in just 24 hours.
By the time it made landfall on Siargao Island, a popular tourist and surfing destination on the central east coast, the storm had reached sustained winds of 260 kilometers per hour (160 miles per hour) with gusts over 300 kilometers per hour (185 miles per hour).

This is a super Typhoon as strong as Typhoon Haiyan which destroys Leyte last 2013, so Filipinos really need help.
Not to take away from the charity or what it does, but personally I think they need to worry about showing their past actions and providing an accurrate account of the spending before another dime is spent.

The accounting should be the priority, but they can do it all together as it's easy to account transactions especially if the ones who would account are the ones who initiate or do the transactions. Cabalism13 per his post, said that his wife is a bookkeeper, so accounting should not be a problem on his side.

My wife is currently  a BOOKKEEPER on a Bank,

Vegas still isn't completely respecting them.

That's an opportunity for us, Vegas will make them underdog most of the time but they keep on winning by covering the spread, so it's always a no-brainer for us to bet where our money will grow. I like the Cavs this season too, they are making me profitable.

Anyway, let's talk about the games today.

How do you like the Nets' chances against the 76ers?
3338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: December 16, 2021, 03:24:01 PM
Having this thing in our mind would only lead to more losses because we are not realistic, we are thinking it would happen but in reality it's not
That's right, no such thing as "risk free" in gambling as it's design for us to take the risk every time put our bet, and that makes gambling very exciting, reason why lots of people are addicted to it, it's challenging in short.

Risk free bets only happen if you are the one who rigged the right, if you are just getting some information about a rigged fight, there's still risk although the chance of winning would be high.
Unless you are a star player, you cannot rig the game which would result in a huge impact.

If a star player will play, he'll get huge minutes so he can manipulate by controlling his game just to win his bet or whoever betting on him.
If we look at that scenario, it's very complicated but when it comes to money, nothing is impossible.
3339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 16, 2021, 01:23:33 PM
For me it seems like Tyson is more ready for the fight, he post some videos and images about his training routines. While Paul disappeared from last month, I wonder what does he doing now. He's not like before, the previous fight he still active to post his training and daily life.

His strength still enough to knock down Paul, it's really depends with their behind agreement Tongue

Perhaps Paul Logan is trying to cope with stress and therefore disappeared from the information space.

Perhaps he is training hard now.  Raises the bar, runs, works out the power of the blow, trains in sparring.  But it doesn't matter ...

Most importantly, is he afraid of Mike Tyson or not?

If he is afraid of Mike Tyson, then training will not help him.  In the ring, fear paralyzes his will.  He simply won't be able to raise his hand to strike.  The legs will look like two wooden logs.

And Tyson knocks him out easily.

Why would you ask a question if he is afraid of Tyson, I think that doesn't make sense at all, I mean, why would this fight will happen in the first place if one boxer is afraid of the other? This is business, and Logan Paul although not winning fights (sad truth) but he hasn't been knock out IIRC.

Maybe this would be his first time but he should be honored as it's coming from a legend.
3340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 16, 2021, 12:29:31 PM
Lakers had one of their toughest games last night but they still were able to defeat their competitor Mavericks. We watched great teamplays from both sides and they both deserved to win equallly I suppose. Westbrook was so close to making a triple-double by 23 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Davis made a double-double (20 points, 12 rebounds) and Lebron was the most scorer of the team as usual.

Lebron is the most consistent scorer on the team, and it's not surprising that he leads the team. What I like with that win is that Westbrook had a good game, if he can only be consistent, this Laker team will certainly proved that their lineup is going to win the championship this season. It's not too late yet, though they are not in the top of the standings, but winning games is a good sign they'll improved overtime.
