Damn, man. You're giving money to casino and will get it back with some probability. And with some probability will not. you can't call it "investment". This is TRUE gambling, in fact.

Difference between gambling and investing is that in gambling you can't predict outcome with only input data (in investment you're able to do that). There exists only expected value (EV) of your event.
Yeah true. In fact everything related to casino is gambling in a way or another. Investment is unpredictable too and depends from other people dice results. The more they lose the more our profits are better Wink

Which also makes it profitable in some way.
How about we call it a combined investment and gambling.

The house will win. No doubt.
So, I think there is always the larger chance for profit than losing when compared with other investments.
3322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is a good option?? Trade or Hodl on: August 15, 2020, 05:26:14 PM
If you have the luxury of spending time doing analysis, chart checking and monitoring then go for trading.
But if you don't then just leave it be.  Grin

I am a holder of different coin.
Not much of stress for that. If you have a good job then stay with it.
If you do trade, it will eat some of your time in which you should be resting already.
3323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 15, 2020, 03:59:23 PM
Sad that Spurs playoffs streak now broken. It was expected. It's a good run.

Spurs should trade DeRozan. He is not fit for the team. Already 2 seasons with the team but still can't blend properly with his teammates. He is acting a main man that's why. When he is off-night, he should make Aldridge as the main man.

Spurs is playing well even without Kawhi so DeRozan is the problem.

Coach Pop needs to take a rest too. Smiley

First, thank you, that is a good way to remember people especially Kobe.
But please....
Don't forget about JJ Redick.  Grin
This is his first miss of the playoffs since he was a rookie.

Damn! That was some achievement. Is he lucky or what? Like a Robert Horry charm.
3324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will "De-Fi" replace traditional banking in the future? on: August 15, 2020, 02:33:46 PM
I doubt that.
It's not just about loans and savings.

Acceptance by the public is also a must.
And then, there is the government and of course, banks will fight bank.
Creating their own, de-fi or maybe just digital cash which they already have with their plastic cards.
Which continues to another things.
Shops acceptance. Yes I am now banked because of De-Fi but how will I use it without shops accepting whatever they will use. i.e. QR code or still plastic cards.  Grin
3325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 15, 2020, 01:30:38 PM
I took the 3.43 ML. That is enough for me.
Not that I don't like the Trail Blazers.
Will the Grizzlies shock them with a powerful game that will look like a playoffs or a Finals game.
Yeah, I will definitely watch this one.

3326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto currencies are getting dangerous on: August 15, 2020, 10:28:55 AM
you are confusing bitcoin with centralized services.
bitcoin is the same way as it has ever been regarding the level of privacy and freedom it provides. but when you decide to use a centralized service with this decentralized currency then obviously you are subjecting yourself with all the rules that centralized service forces on you.
if you don't like that then don't use them!

Oh, I really hope I have huge amount of merits for this one.
After reading the OP all I can think about is to say "stay away from it if you don't like it".
Well, pooya87 already got it covered.

The control of privacy is still on you. You decide, your choice. Why go for an exchange? I bet you have a different purpose.
3327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 15, 2020, 04:51:57 AM
Oh yeah! I'm on a streak again.
Losing streak!!!  Grin

Blazers against Grizzlies later.
Which are you betting for?
I'll bet for Grizzlies this first game. It's time for revenge from the stolen spot. Odds of winning are for the Blazers which is good. But this might change a lot later.
3328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons Why am I adding as many Ethereum bags as possible? on: August 14, 2020, 07:13:58 PM
Could it also mean that Ethereum 2.0 is really near?
Any source so we could read the proof?
I mean, we can't just blindly follow what you said right?
We want a little assurance. Maybe the conversation or a recording of how you talked to them?
3329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 14, 2020, 03:21:23 PM
There's no betting odds yet but I believe Blazers will be the favorites to win.
The Blazers has experienced players compared to the Grizzlies that composed with young fellas and not that much of experienced in the playoffs. Dame is on the zone when playoffs is approaching, literally on fire.

Trail blazers waving to Lakers.

Yeah quite agree with that. Lillard is on fire right now which is good sign for Blazers. Still both teams know how crucial the match is so it's not like Grizzlies will be out there unprepared. Anything can happen but yes given the performance Blazers should be the favourites.

Btw which one are you rooting for? Blazers or Grizzlies?

If I am to bet with one of them. I'll go Grizzlies.
My instincts tells me (no I am not Spiderman) that Grizzlies is now pumped up.
They want that position back. They need it.
Even if it will be Lakers on the other side of it when they won, playoffs time is still a huge achievement.
Plus, it will be good for additional experience with the Grizzlies team especially Ja.
A rookie in playoffs with a chance to upset the Lakers. One hell of a news.
3330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Original Bitcoin Holder! HoDL HoDL HoDL on: August 14, 2020, 02:28:05 PM
Goosebumps!
I just remembered the "HODL" hype.
Some may not understand it in this era anymore. Thinking it is just a word that had been slanged or misspelled.
I don't know if this is real but his statements are funny.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfEm_SifwQY
"Not HODDLE but HODL."
"Traders as traitors".  Grin

Down the comment section they are fighting on how it should be pronounced! What the heck! Just fucking buy the damn bitcoin!  Grin
3331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 14, 2020, 12:11:54 PM
Suns won perfect 8-0 but still, it will be the Trail Blazers against the Grizzlies who will play head to head.
Monty Williams speech is a good morale booster but why I do I felt sadness.
They did great. Should've given a chance for a tiebreaker against the Grizzlies first.

Agree, they should have been given a bonus for winning all their games in the bubble  Smiley. They are tied in the standings and i don't know why it's the Grizzlies who will the Blazers in the play-in. Head to head standings this season?

I don't  know about the rules but looking at the record it is really unfair for the Suns.
They don't even have the chance to defend themselves there.
Let them have one more game to see who should really have that head to head with the 8th rank. (Blazers)
Make it a game against the Grizzlies so we will all know what team deserves it.

Anyway, the bets must go on.  Grin

3332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: August 14, 2020, 06:37:59 AM
I also believe in my instinct but that should not be enough.
Look for a better reason into why you are buying it.

Ethereum had grown rapidly before going to $1000+ in price.
Vitalik even told in social media that it won't happen again but there is so much hype in Ethereum 2.0 which could be the reason for the pump.
Please do better find another meaning of buying it so you won't regret it later on.
3333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 14, 2020, 04:41:40 AM
Ergh just 3 more points and my streak could have continued.
Again with the upsets. Kings, Orlando, and Grizzlies.

Suns won perfect 8-0 but still, it will be the Trail Blazers against the Grizzlies who will play head to head.
Monty Williams speech is a good morale booster but why I do I felt sadness.
They did great. Should've given a chance for a tiebreaker against the Grizzlies first.
3334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: August 13, 2020, 05:57:14 PM
Thanks.
Until now he didn't show up again. Just the day of the drop he won all the "weekly" prize for BTC since all accounts in the first 5 spots belongs to him. So he played a little apparently, won a good amount and didn't show up again for now at least!

Yeah, and we will feel the shake if he comes back.
Either we go up for another 50-100k satoshis or down.  Grin

He may have stayed calm for now. The beast also needs a rest.
5-7k satoshis is the movement I see for 2 days. He may still be in hibernation.  Grin
3335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Ways to Hack Bitcoin on: August 13, 2020, 05:00:42 PM
Is this also a form of FUD?
Or this is real FUD?  Grin

I mean, I don't really know where you are getting at.
Is it a warning for hacking prevention (sadly, I didn't see anything on how to prevent it), or is it just to scare off some newbies?

THe first you are not really attacking Bitcoin, but a person..
The easiest explanation out there.
Thank you Sir.

You picked my wallet but the money is still there.
Bitcoin is still there.
3336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 13, 2020, 03:31:14 PM
I'm sure Blazers will win this, not so confident they can cover the spread, note that CJ McCollum is playing with a fractured back and he doesn't look like himself.

Now that's bad news.
I would not risk this one too.
Actually, something is whispering to me to bet with the Nets once again.
Maybe, I will do it later.

For now, I'd stick with my regular over and under scheme.  Grin I am 50-50 here unlike yesterday.

Edit: Crap! Lakers vs Sacramento suddenly changed to 223.5. Ouch!
3337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 13, 2020, 10:25:13 AM

I will never be tired of congratulating you Reid. What a profitable week we have so far and i'm never wrong on tailing your bets. Hope this will continue on the playoffs.

Tomorrow's Blazers vs Nets game is interesting. Blazers should win this one to avoid complication going to the playoffs.

-8.5 Blazers ML, what do you think on this one guys? Worth the risk?

Thanks, man!
Difficulty of choosing for teams to bet for sometimes is a lucky charm.
Thankfully, there are other ways to bet.  Grin
Congratulations.

So Grizzlies, Suns and Trail Blazers all need the win.
Will there be an upset that will happen?

Bets later, others are still locked.
3338  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it the new crypto scam hiding in wait? on: August 12, 2020, 07:06:20 PM
Didn't we see this before.
Hypes in the new projects. Iirc in 2016 and 2017 it was the ICOs who had that kind of run and now they seemed to calm down because people consumed a lot of knowledge.

Now this, they are still "virgin" and yet they want to be fucked without marriage. Grin
3339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: August 12, 2020, 03:42:28 PM
@Yatsan, I recommand to take a look on your investment in Yolodice. It is all time high after the same guy lost another +~25 BTC there yesterday. I am in 9% ROI right now!
So it was 2 days ago already.
I haven't checked it lately since I had been busy every day.

It seems there is a drop in our earnings a little bit compared to yesterday ~ - 23k satoshi which is 1/5 of my profit, although there isn't signs that he is playing to recover his losses like the time before.
We will see  Wink
What!  Grin
Yeah, that proves I am not updated anymore.
I bet he will be back for his revenge. It will be sweeter if he gets it back in an instant with high amounts. Or not.  Cheesy

Anyway, I appreciate how you two updates this thread. Thank you. Keep it up!
3340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 12, 2020, 02:37:20 PM
I'm rooting for the Blazers to take that 8th spot and eliminate the Lakers in the first round  Smiley.

I'll be betting substantial amount on them on Friday against the Nets.
Whoa! Easy tiger!  Grin
I might, with good numbers in the money line. Yeah! I'll take it.

So games today is not that exciting. All of them are from the secured bracket which means it's like a no bearing game.  Grin
It's difficult to decide where to put bets so I just went for over and under again.

Edit: I'm sorry this may not be a non bearing game but a tactic.
OKC could intentionally lose 2 more games to avoid playing against Houston in the playoffs and instead play against Denver. It's a good match since they can use Adams against Jokic which cannot be done against Houston because of speed.

Record:
43-27 OKC - 2 more games
43-28 Jazz - 1 more game

What is the rule when they tied? Toss coin?  Grin
