could be you are correct. It is hard to tell since most all big guys only tell ½ or less of what they have planned. Those darn secretkeepers. We just want to know the sexy machines they have, that's all. yeah it is annoying.. waiting for some news on what was deployed. I had to ability to do 1 sp50 no deal. was told no. I have 4 avalon 6's I have 1 s-7 The solar project will most likely have 2 s-7's and 4 avalon 6's to start. We have 20kwatts in psu's which is in excess of the first stage of the solar project. We will most likely employ 10 k watts in miners to start. But if I had a commitment for gear like the sp50 I would have pushed for buysolar to build the array quicker. So I am back to square one on gear purchases. |

Checked the hashrate for the last 12 hours and its +40%
Doesn't look like an end is in sight. Price is up +5% at least.
It will be definately around +20%, less than 2 days to go.
In the last 2 years there were only 2 times when we went above +20%

That could be good if true as we may now flatten out. So if it is a new farm being added, bitfury or spondoolies? who would you place your bets on? I don't know but the dragon chip build the A1's is a third possibility. we came into this adjustment with 859 ph and we are leaving with over 1000ph this is a 18 to 21 % and more then 160ph 210 s-7's = 1 ph 2100 s-7's = 10 ph 21,000 s-7's = 100 ph 35,000 s-7's = 160 ph. my guess is a big deployment of sp50's and of A1 dragon chip company = Innosilcon (sp) a 160ph deployment needs to be a big farm as bitmaintech did not sell 35,000 s-7's or 30,000 s7's along with avalon selling 6,000 avalon6's Have to hope it is a big farm and we go flat in diff. |

It's possible to hit a block mining with just your computer... it's just extremely unlikely to do so  Very very unlikely to do so! Anything is possible though... I hit my first block after only 2 weeks of mining with a single SP20 (it wasn't at this pool unfortunately)! Funny thing is, I missed out on seeing the "best share" for that block in the web interface. That morning I was adding 3 new miners and had unplugged/replugged to move it from 120V to a new 240V location. Apparently it happened just seconds prior to when I unplugged it. I was stunned when I checked my email after powering it back up! I'm getting a new miner and will be unplugging/plugging things again today. Can history repeat itself? That would be cool. |

What benefit (besides the web front end) does using the pre-built SD Card image offer? I mean, if I've already got a Pi with cgminer that has enabled avalon support, couldn't I just plug the avalon into it and fire it up?
not sure but you can try it and see. you got 2 rasp pi's today with the 6.1 software. and if you have a different card your could try it to compare. |

So with luck in a few hours all gear will be delivered and work. I have interest in 4 more units so far. 2 to UK 1 to me 1 to New York I may do a third buy: I need the last one from buy two to arrive today. I will need 10 units min. I need to be paid for the loan on 1 avalon6. I am hopefull to try to organize for the third buy. Maybe this weekend See if they are going to be dropping the price some to compete with batch 10 pricing & the 20% diff increase. I'm willing to wait if it means a few hundred savings. Yeah Me too. I hope they will drop price. I will need to make sure this one is wrapped up. so when bctmke pays me for the loan on his and when tlhIlwI's arrives. Its bad, it will probably end at +20% and in 10 days it will go up at least +10%. I don't think it will stabilize at +20% and remain constant.
no I think this is good. it has to be a new mine . I really think next jump will be very small. this adjustment had no swings like the others. making it very likely a big mine opened. We will see really soon . |

PPS 4% it means fee ?
you get paid 96% and the alt coins are worth 2% so you get 98% 1 payment per day. when you get the payment there is another fee to the blockchain. I forget what that is. I stopped mining here a while back. but if you are really small the fee to the blockchain hurts. maybe some one can explain it better. |

suddenly i noticed that my hashrate droped from 4.3 to 3.9 and i took a look to the s7 and saw the LED is off on one of the hashboards but after 40s it became on again and my hashrate increased to 4.3
what caused that ?
yeah it drops connections some times. are you still mining on the site with 250 + ping times long ping times can cause a drop out of 1 or more boards. did you try a different pool to see if you can get ping times under 150? |

Yeah I did fry 1 Avalon 6 by over volting so not messing with that too much anymore.
What voltage were you at in the UI? Do you know what it was on a multimeter? These reports of overvolting failures have my attention! I'm about to set up an Avalon6 and I hear the safe threshold is 12.2V in the UI. I'm just making sure that is accurate and they are not popping even at 12.2V in the UI. It is scary how little headroom there is between the spec and where these fail. My plan is to bring mine up to 12.2V in the UI and then back it down just a tad (high end of 12.1-- and only under very controlled climate conditions) unless I start seeing reports of failures within the 12.2V spec. I plan to drop them back to an undervolt of 11.7V when late spring / early summer hits to reduce heat stress. In my case the psu was 12.73 volts = wrong 12.4 or 12.5 is okay The gui was 12.5 = wrong 12.2 is okay the temp in the room was 92f = close to wrong as max is 95f This was my older unit.
