The only way to play it safe is use the tools on the gambling site, as restricted hours, reminders etc. Also put only the balance which you are ready to loose on that cycle.  Wink
The easiest way to prevent gambling addiction is to see gambling as what it is: a hobby. I already talked about may how I achieve this in other threads so I am going to put this short:
  • Set yourself a monthly limit, eg. 50$ and deposit the coins on your favourite casino
  • As soon as your balance hits 0 again stop playing for the Rest of the month, don't even think about depositing any additional money

It is simple but very effective  Wink
3342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 05, 2021, 08:28:01 AM
I won't mind a feature that allows us to convert our deposited coins in USD and then play. Once we are done gambling we can then cashout our coins by converting them back to crypto. I guess sportsbet allow such feature as you can convert to fiat and play but need to convert back into cryptocurrency before you withdraw it.
This is what other casinos do by converting the coins that are deposited into internal coins, these are often "stablecoins" and linked 1:1 to the USD for example. If you wnat to withdraw, of course, you need "real" coins like BTC again, but the back and forth exchange is completely free.

Strictly speaking, this is how you actually play with BTC, but you can immediately see how much the amount is in USD and it is therefore much easier to imagine how high the set amounts for bets actually are.

While we are still at this topic about streamers. There are real money streamers that risk their own funds for content and streaming. ALL gambling streamers are an actual gamblers that play with their own money at the start of their streams until they get quite decent number of loyal audiences on their stream then gambling sites started to offer them 'partnership' with sponsored funds
Of course, i didn't question that either. But I have been following well known streamers already when they were not yet known and sponsored.  I have never seen high risky bets like high amounts with high multipliers after losing streaks "back then", that ofc makes very little sense if you think about the probability that such a bet is successful.

I wanted to show that you should not blindly rely on the fact that you can easily repeat any "strategy" and even be successful with it. If you play with sponsored money, it is much more likely that you will be tempted to make high-risk bets that you would otherwise never make.
3344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: August 04, 2021, 04:56:13 PM
We cannot overcome panic and greed. But we should develop strategies and implement them before trading. This allows us to not panic when placing orders.
In my opinion, the best way to get around the problem of "greed" is already that we buy in "batches" and preferably at fixed times, for example every Monday at 0 o'clock. In this way, we certainly never (or at least almost never) buy at the bottom, but the probability that we make bad purchases (buy at the top due to FOMO, ...) without a corresponding strategy is very high - and to be honest ... most of us know such "FOMO-situations". At least I do, I still have XRP in my portfolio which I bought at way above 2$ ...
3345  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 100k Event | Daily New Slots | on: August 04, 2021, 04:44:08 PM
Personally, I am not really against that. I like sites that have their own token (chips, betfury) and who are related to a dividend system. It gives a motivation to the players to keep playing and wagering, because the more you play, the more tokens you will receive and thus the higher your (daily) dividend.
I see it the same way. Own coins in combination with leveling systems, (with "goodies" per level), tend to keep me longer on their site than platforms without comparable systems. Leveling systems are great for long-term motivation and it's much harder to switch to another casino because you don't want to give up your progress.

Experimenting different styles of gambling and learning from others is not bad if we are doing it an limit and entertainment manner but as you said if you are lucky you might also win the same manner and if not then you just loose your bet placed.
If you want to learn from live gamblers you always have to keep in mind that they mostly play with a sponsored stack and do not bet their own money. I have seen actions where after a losing streak very high sums with very high multipliers were bet and the streamer won a lot of money. However, the probability of this is rather in the range of a lottery win and the streamer would probably never have done that with "his" money.

So yes, you can definitely learn something, but you have to keep in mind that the streamers play under completely different conditions than you do.
3347  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 03, 2021, 05:50:21 PM

I also watch @Ayezee streaming on his channel with huge sponsored bankroll and watch just for entertainment purpose.
I have to admit that I also enjoy watching the streams of various players and find them much more entertaining than movies or series, for example. Above all, watching streams also gives you the opportunity to learn from the streamers. Less in gambling but especially with streamers who play games like League of Legends. During my active time, I was able to pick up and use one or two tricks while watching well known streamers like ph4ntoml0rd.

So I can understand why the platforms are willing to pay a lot for the engagement of good streamers: The advertising effect is enormous and many viewers directly feel the desire to play on the platform themselves.
3348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: August 03, 2021, 06:36:06 AM
In my opinion, tracking your bets is important if you want to keep everything in order and understand if you are going to gain or lose
my opinion
It definitely is, yes. But it all depends on how you see gambling. If it's just a pastime for you, like going to the movies, then winnings and losses usually don't matter either. For me, for example, I only ever play on one casino at a time and give myself a certain budget per month for it (e.g. $50). If this budget is used up, then I no longer play until the end of the month. Depending on how often I win, however, the budget is usually easily enough.

If you really want to earn money with gambling, this approach is of course not successful. However, only the fewest will manage that either way ...
3349  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 03, 2021, 06:32:34 AM
Ayezee has a exclusive partnership with Rollbit and is probably also sponsored by them; not sure if the nr 1 position is also sponsored. But I agree with you, sponsored players should be excluded out of this bonus and should also be excluded in other contests.
It simply depends on how the players were sponsored. For example, if they received a free stack at the beginning of the event, then of course they should not be allowed to participate and certainly not be able to win any prizes.
However, if the deal was different (for example, an extra payment in BTC after the event), then in my opinion there is nothing to prevent these players from participating in the events. As long as we don't know the concrete contracts we can only speculate here anyway Smiley

Getting lossing streak do come in random way but dont have much idea on what are the odds of happening.
Well, you could use the calculator you posted, then you would know Wink Nevertheless, thanks for the link!

The difficulty here is certainly to find out how high the chance is actually to win. Regarding Hi-Lo you can usually do that, but it's more difficult with slots for example. I'm also not sure if you get here relatively easy to get this info from the respective casinos ...
3351  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 02, 2021, 10:24:05 AM
I got nothing against high house edges, just think you should be straight forward about it as it's something any reasonable person would want to know.
I see it the same way. Roobet should play with open cards here and simply state the actual House Edge - even if only upon request. This way, every player can decide for himself whether he wants to play the respective game despite a higher house edge or not.

However, this is definitely not a scam, as Roobet does not intentionally deceive its customers.
3352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chances to get a losing streak on: August 02, 2021, 10:09:26 AM
How high this percentage is, is up to the casino itself. Since they are not known, it is not possible to determine the probability of a losing streak.
Are you referring to the House Edge? This is usually already known, at least for well-known casinos such as Bustadice/Bustabit. Of course, the information provided by the operators does not have to be correct; you would have to take a closer look at the codes and scripts.

By the way, BTCGosu has a comparer that also compares the House Edge casinos in more detail: https://www.btcgosu.com/bitcoin-dice-sites-comparer/

@OP
To be honest, I always calculate only with the House Edge for my games. The longer you play, the more likely it is that the odds will equalize across all games. Also, the longer you play Losing and Winstreaks keep the balance!
3353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Investment Suggestion on: August 01, 2021, 12:08:19 PM
Why don't you recommend coins like Eth, BNB, there, SXP and also matic? Are they all not good enough to buy at the time of decline in prices? Regarding the capital I think everyone can adjust it if it intends to buy it.
The problem in the crypto market is simply that all coins depend on the bitcoin price trend. If BTC goes down, the alts usually fall as well, usually even more strongly. So you have to see your crypto portfolio as one unit and you should not think that you are diversifying just because you buy different coins. This is even more important the higher your coin holdings are: you simply cannot rely on the situation that crypto market is always booming as it is now and that there will never be strong regulations/bans, for example, which will have a bad effect on performance in the long run.

In this respect, it makes sense to split your funds into other forms of investment such as gold, real estate and so on.
3354  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin casino top news on: July 31, 2021, 01:29:19 PM
Yeah it was just an image, I'm not sure what the OP want's to discuss. I haven't heard about faucets now, whenever I hear about faucets a waste of time always comes to my mind. I'm pretty sure that there's no faucet websites that worth it since you will just watch a lot of advertisement and receive a very low amount, plus the transaction fee when you are going to transfer your earned Bitcoin to your personal wallet.
I personally know people who have made a fortune with faucets. In the early days of faucets, for example, you would make 0.0001 BTC per hour if you ran it while gambling and clicked on a banner every now and then. At that time the Bitcoin was worth a fraction of what it is now, but calculate that if you did that for a few hours a day ... For example, I myself earned 2 LTC per faucets, which was worth just under 5$ back then.

You just don't know where the journey of the BTC still goes. A few dollars in Faucet BTCs today can be a lot of money in a few years.
3355  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance squeezes users on verification on: July 30, 2021, 04:07:55 PM
Nevertheless," large wallets " are leaving Binance. But such conclusions for a large amount that exceed 2 BTC per day can only be made from accounts that have extended verification on the exchange. Perhaps this is due to the fact that a lot of negative news has now come out around Binance, including the ban on futures and derivatives in Europe and the termination of trading in tokenized shares.
I also think it's because of that and not the KYC requirement. Using Binance without KYC didn't make much sense for btc whales because of the very low number of Bitcoins that could be withdrawn with such an account.

Binance has received a lot of bad press lately, and there are still lawsuits pending. This is of course a huge problem for a whale who has several million in BTC on such an exchange. If, for example, charges are brought against Binance, it could well be that the funds on the exchange will also have to be frozen - even if only for a short time.

Adalite hosted hier ihren Code: https://github.com/vacuumlabs/adalite
3358  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: July 30, 2021, 11:16:02 AM
Given the number of users there could be enough tickets to be an annoyance but finding the right people for customer support in the cryptocurrency space is definitely a problem. The kind of people that will do the job well and can also be trusted will get bored quickly and start looking for other opportunities.
This is a general issue in software support. It is very difficult to find good people, but the ones you do find are completely underchallenged after six months at the latest and quit again or want more demanding jobs.

However, you will never be able to give a support employee access to funds (FIAT, Bitcoin, ...), the potential that something happens here and you are cheated as an operator is very high. We have now solved this in our company via bots. These can handle about 60% of the requests ("please reset my password", "i don't know how to deposit", ...). About 30% are then handled by level 2 support staff and the rest comes to the owners themselves, especially when it comes to special withdrawal requests or legal threats.
3359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Investment Suggestion on: July 30, 2021, 11:07:44 AM
Real estate and bitcoin for me are already enough for the long term.
I see it the same way. With real estate, however, you already have to be careful, at least here in Europe. Prices are very overheated, so it's not unlikely that there could soon be a drop in prices here. You only have to look at the development of real estate prices in Germany, for example:

So if you get in now, it could be very risky. The big advantage, however, is that no one will take the property away from you.
3360  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is stop loss and how it works on: July 29, 2021, 01:26:37 PM
-snip-
one can set a price to automatically placing a sell order when a certain price is reached. But I still need more explanation.
That's exactly the point, yes. You can see a stop loss (SL) as a lifeline that prevents you from taking too high losses when the price suddenly crashes ... But stop loss can also be used to hedge profits, especially in risky trades (Bitcoin has a steep price rise, ...). Here, for example, you can push the stop loss limit gradually upwards - one of the most beautiful things to do as a trader Wink
