Way too long, to post here, but basically, they've been pre-ordering for months, and as expected did not deliver, nor will deliver apparently.

Last email was boo-hoo blaming paypal for the delivery dates not being met (seriously), and now today another huge email that their ASICs are not, or will nor, be as good as they thought they'd be.

Then how they're sensitive that customers will never get ROI, and they kind of shrug off saying "hey, you know... we know it sucks, but... what can we do about it?"

And skimming through the end, I sort of read that they're going to try and make it up the Batch 1 customers (batch 2 is already on pre-order for a while now) by giving them 30% stake of the company. HAHA !!

Thats it in a nutshell, the real mails are huge packed full of excuses. No joke, this is the email title

Quote
An Opportunity for the Mining Community To Become an Integral Part Of Alpha Technology And Lead The Industry For Years To Come

Greetings Batch 1 Customers!

Brilliant stuff... I am certainly not against ASICs, I am though extremely disgusted by pre-ordering ASIC ponzi's. Apart from Gridseed (despite very loq quality control) - I know of none other that promises and delivers fairly to the world without pre-orders.

Is anyone on the Alpha Technology mailing list? The last 2 emails are beyond belief....

What do you got ?

djslick

You don't need 1000drk you can put say 100drk into a masternode pool and be part of running one.
If you`re interested PM vertoe, but I don`t suppose...

Great idea but sounds vey risky. You need to trust the guy who manages the pool with your money...

I heard very good things about this and him from others
totally legit and trustworthy

How much can be mined per month with a single Masternode?

In the moment it is 0.7 DRK per day
i believe (changing as more MN's)
this is only an average.
Have some nodes which gets 1,3drk a day Smiley but from the other heand have a nodes which gets less than 0,5 drk a day. Random stuff Smiley Anyway I feel like getting a presents on christmas every time I get payment on my masternode Wink

i am still waiting for my 1st payment !
biting my nails, and feels like having another baby !

No seriously, why would anyone need to hide their IP address from their financial transactions?

Because we want to be... anonymous.
Total annonimity.

But if it's so important, why doesn't Litecoin hide IP addresses of people that use Litecoin?

@coins, you made some important questions a few pages back about privacy in general.
I hope you found all your answers.

Could you share this informations on a small summary to put these important things together ?

I didn´t know that my IP is trackable back to my home ( my IP changes every day, who should collect all this shitdata),
and i also heard that my email could tell somebody directly where´s my home or my company adress ?

So for example a computer crack could track back to my company if my adress is for example average.joe@mycompany.com

Thats very strange.  Wink

everybody and everything on the net has an IP address
with that you are traceable !
To hide that people are using TOR and VPN (something to bounce your IP around the world) so nobody knows where you are coming from !

that is the easy version ...>

Is 1000 MN the 'cut off point' for MN's
or will be there as many as possible ?
(i heard somewhere there will only be 1000.... is that true ??)

El Presidente can you tell me what will be the public address of the MN nr 1000 when we will hit this amount??
[/quote]

Not exactly(in RC3).

But if a server(not len(set(6 servers)) in charge to count, I can.

Every block has been logged. ex ) http://drk.poolhash.org/poolhashrate/masterlist/111076.txt

Hey guys
am looking for a listing
when / how many Masternodes were running

something like this:
Total Masternodes: 855 = 833 actives + 22 inactives      31.7
Total Masternodes: 851 = 830 actives + 21 inactives      30.7
Total Masternodes: 850 = 832 actives + 18 inactives
Total Masternodes: 844 = 831 actives + 13 inactives      29.7

but further back in time (1 year maybe)
El Presidente, do you have something like that for me please ??

but masternodes will be paid for each 'transit' message?

Not exactly. The masternodes selected for mixing will get paid from mining rewards, the others won't.

The "message" is just the instructions for mixing, or put another way, a list containing the order of the masternodes that the transaction will go through.

How do I own a masternode and haven't kept up on this stuff..
So, at the moment are there more blocks being mined than payments being paid to masternodes?  Or is every block paying 20% to masternodes regardless of the amount of darksend transactions?

20% of the block mining reward, so if 4 DRK are created, the masternodes that were selected get a share of .8 DRK.

I believe this is the way it works. This coin changes a lot so keeping up with it is hard. The iterations in technology are fun to watch.

I believe it is more like , 20% = 0.7 payout
but has nothing to do with how many darksends .... it is paid to each master node regardless if involved or not
(is that correct)
in the moment it is still a lottery system  (who gets paid and when, but pretty even i guess) but that will change to
a voting system !
(can somebody PLEASE correct me if I am totally off)

Dev here.

The attack is useless unless you already own the originating wallet.

The second reddit post, I'll have to thank the poster because it was an honest mistake linking to the old wallet in the Wallets section but the anon wallet in the News sections.

Fixed.

+2.2 ... just in case there is a +1 delete bot lol...

In any case, while this is rubbish, we do have one HUGE moderated "thread", where people are civil, even when they openly disagree. Quite a fun place to be. Its called... drum roll...

www.darkcointalk.org

This thread is a spam fest. A ping-pong between supporters and haters. I dont mind it. Haters have no real arguments and any one serious about their money can easily pin-point the mediocracy of the trolling.

Strange
Am in Asia and can not get on since 5 hours

I'm just going to assume it's DNS propagation issues atm. Should resolve itself fairly soon if so.

Works good here in Canada, just logged in 10 minutes ago...

Can confirm it's DNS issues on my end.

Hey tungfa, try this:
