3341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 06, 2023, 09:43:06 PM

But placing bets also won't be able to give us the win we hope for because it will depend on our luck. We can only win by luck, and I'm not sure a strategy can be used repeatedly, so we should have more strategy. And we can only try to use those strategies one by one without knowing which strategy will work. And if the strategy succeeds in giving win, we should not pin our hopes on that strategy because circumstances may change, and the previous strategy cannot be applied in the next round. And when you have won, remember to stop immediately and not try other strategies or place higher bets because that could mean you will experience lose. The casino will not allow us always to win, so after we win, we should stop before we experience a losing streak.
Yes there is no strategy that works repeatedly in any situation as far as gambling is concerned,  this is so because most of those who have thought that they have a strategy because their luck shines on one or two occasions think that it will continue but not too long the strategy will still disappointment because it can't win consistently.

So it is very important to depend less on skills or strategy and pay more attention to luck and gambling only with an amount we can let go.

Two candidates visited my office two days ago to submit their applications for the position of a health assistant. I had the honor of taking part in the interviews with them. After the interview, the candidate did very well, but the CMD chose to hire the male candidate because of his physical strength and height as the best contender for the position. He didn't even give the female applicant a chance to demonstrate her qualifications. What do you think about this?
To me that is a bad signal,  and with the the human resource department really has a lot of work to be done bexausutheir will recruit a lot of staff without any competency or capabilities for the job since the guy at the decision-making end has blatantly refused to hire based on qualification but adopting sentiments.

I don't know what the nature of the job, is but if it is not a physically involving job,  the employers should have hired the female if she is most qualified for the role.
3343  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [your Opinion] For this country Patient dog still dey eat the fattest Bone??? on: August 06, 2023, 09:24:27 PM
Breaking news:  the patient's dog is dead,  and the course of the dead na because of starvation ulcer!

That is the reality in our today Nigeria and my people the best possible way to survive in this country is to try and have online skills such as cryptocurrency trading,  investment in good assets like Bitcoin and also diversify your income as much as possible and be mindful of your spending.

Because led for the government and the situation of things in Nigeria it is more likely that the citizens will work like elephants and eat like rats because the cost of living and the wages of the civil servant including minimum wages scant meet up wit current societal demands and that is something that is overly affecting the overall economic fortune of many Nigerians.
3344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: August 06, 2023, 09:17:27 PM

What I want to say is that greed can sometimes be your friend because having greed is somewhat the same as having a gut but again, don't let it drive you as that will really put you in a situation that you never wanted. No need to eliminate it as greed is just like luck, you never know when will it hit you.

I accept that, greed can turn into a blessing. Sometimes we are persistent with what we believe in like if you try and keep trying because you see that light is at the end and at the end it may turn into good. Sometimes some gamblers are persistent in coming back to try after losing. I have witnessed much of this when a gambler losses in visual game and after losing much they still try the last game which turned out to be the remedy that brought them back to regain all the money lost earlier.
I may have a contrary opinion to the both of you,  despite the fact that I agree with both opinion in some ways that greed can indeed be a great tool but more also when we want to discuss the subject of greed in any phase we must have to make a constant attempt to point out its negative effect in all our decisions because there is no way that greed will be over good for a gambler well being,  even if he becomes greedy to have to continue gambling and eventually winning.

It won't still save him in the long run, this is because there is always a deep hole on the other side,  so risking more is risking too much so there is no way that greed can ever be a friend in gambling.
3345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of bitcoin adoption by countries when world fin. giants does. on: August 06, 2023, 09:07:31 PM
International monetary fund is not a money printing bank like central banks of nations and their balance and reserves comes from the contribution and payment of commitments from members countries and this reserve is what are used to loan member nations in time of financial trouble in the form of bailout,  to bring Bitcoin to the reality is going to be something that will meet a lot of criticism from members countries even though if IMF adopts Bitcoin as an organization,  those member countries who are against bitcoin adoption and legalization will do everything possible to only allow fiat paper money since that is what they can print freely and spend to pay membership dues.

Hmm, Was totally unaware of how the member countries work haha, IMF adopting bitcoins seems like one of the biggest jokes to me for this month because I can recall in memory that IMF was putting pressure on the financial policies of those countries who were under debt of IMF to strongly Ban crypto market activities. Buddy, it's not about the member countries who are going to be affected by Bitcoin it will be the IMF haha because when BTC will be the legal tender there will be no need for the IMF for further loans the countries can directly introduce and raise funds through the high APY surety bonds even they can use their BTC reserves for the loans that will be more easy a greater approach for them to raise as much funding as they can.
You think countries will adopt Bitcoin 100% it's not possible because at the moment only a figment percentage of the global population know about Bitcoin and what it truly stands for,  and for the fact that Bitcoin is secured against third-party involvement or control makes is uninteresting to countries because,  Bitcoin is not like their local currencies that they can print unlimited number.

Bitcoin have a 21 million total supply which is some thing that stand out against possible inflammatory measure that makes Bitcoin anti inflation,  unless for some few countries like El Salvador who have taken the bold step by differing all IMF warning and adopting Bitcoin.

So far the improvement in the squad reshuffle carried out by Eddie Howe provides a sign that Newcastle United will be able to compete more strongly next season either in the Premier League or in the Champions League. Statistically what they have shown last season gives a big meaning that Newcastle United is no longer a fortune for their progress in the next season but a target they are building to win a trophy.

Indeed, after changing ownership, Newcastle United were able to show a brilliant achievement last season because they were able to close the season in the top 4. For this season Newcastle United are ready to compete in the title race.
Sincerely speaking,  Newcastle has put in place some commendable forces that can possibly place the club in a better position in the coming season even though Newcastle's performance was also good but not very ok most especially in the champions league to the signing of new players into the club will be a great boost for the club against the next season and Newcastle will have a fun season this 2023-2024 season.

More also some of the clubs in the same category as Newcastle like Chelsea,  Arsenal and Liverpool are all taking similar steps to better their lots in the next season considering the average performance in the last season.
3347  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: August 06, 2023, 08:51:42 PM
~snip
Really, gambling is not only for money. Gambling can be done in different ways just exchange of goods in those days. You could exchange goods to goods in the 80s. So gambling can be done through material things. I have heard that someone has gambled his wife out to his opponent. Some even gamble with their houses. When addicted gambler is planning to win back his lost, enh. He uses everything has to gamble. And go home with empty handed. But the most important of them all is money because with money you can acquire many things. Therefore, gambling with money or without money is still gambling.
I mean, who needs money when you've got, I dunno, chickens to bet? Sounds wild, but hey, I've also heard legends of dudes betting their socks, pets, and, well, even weirder things.

And about someone gambling their wife? Dude, that's messed up. Makes you think, right? Like, what were they even thinking? It's wild, like, SUPER wild. People get so lost in the game they forget stuff. But money's king, ain't it? Cash is the ultimate thingy majig because it gets you other thingies. So yeah, gamble with whatever, it’s still a risky ride down the wacky lane of chance
I agree with you is a crazy shit to gamble away your wife and that sound so sarcastic right?

Because I can ramp my head around how someone will use a human to gambles is it as a collateral or the wife will rightly becomes the other man in the end who won the game?

I don't get it,  I know of gamblers who stake their cars or houses but I haven't heard any of them such as staking a wife or child I wonder what the agreement for that will look like,  what becomes the morals behind the whole thing because there is no way the wife can be converted to physical cash to settle the bet.
3348  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorism in Africa on: August 06, 2023, 08:38:55 PM

And when those politicians finally win the election and get to office,  is either they forget those thugs and left the guns for them and to fund their illegal activities start to use those guns bought by the politicians to commit other crimes such as armed robbery,  kidnapping and terrorisms,  so the leaders who are the corrupt politicians are the root cause of most of the insecurities in the African continent.
What typically occurs is that the opposition, rather than cooperating with the winning party to advance the interests of the nation after the politicians who employed the thugs win their elections and likely desert them, will be using those thugs to attack that administration through acts of terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping, which is wrong.

Politicians, especially those from Africa, can do anything to win an election, but once they do, they ignore some of the people who helped them win and concentrate on their own selfish goals, which often involve getting back the money they spent before considering employment.

I overly understand with you on the point that those hired political thugs to ring a bad leader into power are abandoned after the election and left with the arms and ammunition bought for them by the politician during the election and these instruments will be used afterwards to hunt and commit crimes.

I think what courses insecurity most in Africa is politics because every act of terrorism is aided by the government's ability or inability,  this is what has likely led to so many kids in society today,  and that makes me to agree with the words of a political scholar who states that,  if terrorism rain beyond 24 hours in a country it means the government have hands in,  what it means by government os the politicians and their machinery and how there have invested a lot in arms for their thugs and after the election that arm get into the street and become an instrument for more harm in the society.
3349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: August 06, 2023, 05:01:04 PM
............................................................................... ..

El Salvador is the first to issue bitcoins..............................................

What Huh?
Yeah  Grin that also caught my attention to see where the member mentioned El Salvador being the first country to Issue Bitcoin as if Bitcoin is like the paper money that governments or central banks can easily print and issue to their citizens and @Popkon6 seems to have misunderstood Bitcoin and placed Bitcoin in the paper traditional currency system which is not true and the only way that El Salvador could get or generate Bitcoin is via Bitcoin mining and even at that you can't call is as El Salvador issuance Bitcoin because there are just partaking mining bitcoin by competing with other miners.

El Salvador will be able to mind Bitcoin only when the Bitcoin city and the volcano power plants are fully developed and operational because according to El Salvador Bitcoin policy the Bitcoin city will be powered by the volcano power and in the city will be El Salvador Bitcoin mining farm,  but for now there have not been much from that development as it basically a capital projects that could take time to completions.

So one of the underlying deficits of this move is the inability of the member's countries to manipulate and print Bitcoin as they do with the fiat currency so in the long run,  this idea will still mean a dead end,  I prefer Bitcoin being an alternative currency to the citizens instead of governmental organizations.
3351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Do You Of Think My Predictions On This Multi Bet Ticket ? on: August 05, 2023, 10:00:08 PM
I do not think your bet will record win for the games left. If you stand to gain slightly more than your initial bet, I would suggest you cash out before the tides turn against your bet.
It's also nice to always use a bet site that's reputable enough to favour a rather greedy gambler as you, with a cash-out option that's dependent on if you intend to see the bet through or not. Stake sure did ensure they make a good impression on its customers with good stake bonuses.
The question should be,  will he be able to cash out at the moment I am familiar with a stake and in a bet like this, we're the losing possibility is high, they won't be generous with their cash out and since they're aware of the level of risk and the revenue their stand to generate from the lose of the bet,  so they tend to hide the cash out from the player.

I experience this on one or two occasions that, are to regret my actions and since then I have avoided making such riskgamees selections.
3352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 05, 2023, 09:54:27 PM
The only way a wager can affect the outcome of the of the game is in the area where the gambler tries to meet up with the wager requirement and in the process loses the bet at the end,  this is what is most likely to be the most frustrating experience.

But wager doesn't have anything to do with the probable fairness of the games and the casino is always acting along with that fact,  so it may not have any effect in direct proportion but its effect is in indirect proportion and the gambler is at the receiving end of that.
3353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: risk of centralization of bitcoin. on: August 05, 2023, 09:41:49 PM
By centralization what I understand from your point is that Bitcoin proof of stake possible risk right?

If that be it then we must be sincere with ourselves that Bitcoin will become more centralized and security threatened if it network adopts the proof of stake instead of the current proof of work POW vs POS,  because both have their unique features that place the miners in various categories and conditions.

But meanwhile bitcoin centralization is a deliberate act to weaken fhs Bitcoin's dominance as a decentralized financial tool.
3354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorism in Africa on: August 05, 2023, 09:35:42 PM
Terrorism in Africa, are cause by the bad leaders in Africa most of them are sponsor by these leaders. Terrorism is bad everywhere, and we must speak against it. The youths must be train and giving equal opportunity. That's the only way to reduce youths restiveness. And illegal carrying of arm in Africa.
Most of the boko haram terrorists were once political machinery of politicians who bought guns and bullets for them to use for intimidating political opponents and as being used to carry out their evil act of elections ringing through bemused of force and intimidation to electoral officials.

3355  Economy / Speculation / Re: The time has finally come...??? on: August 05, 2023, 09:23:35 PM
Those who speculate Bitcoin to reach $100,000-$500,000/are all looking for a pump in the price unknowingly to them Bitcoin doesn't work that way since Bitcoin is not the same as all those pumped and dumped coins that we have all around and this is what everyone must be aware of at some point,  it may likely be that bitcoin move close to that range but also we must take into consideration timing which is another important factor that determine Bitcoin price.
3356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: August 05, 2023, 08:26:44 PM

I know that many players who are newbies think that the bonuses are free and that they give it to you and that it can be withdrawn later , and this is something that tends to confuse , I Understand something, when I read the word bonus it means that it is a gift, but here in the casinos the word bonus is another definition, I have always said that the word "Bonus" should be changed to "Conditional Bonus" so people know that it will not be free , there are more words but it is Somewhat more efficient , besides As I have already said, newbies Would not fall into Errors.

Well when it comes to the issues of bonuses we must come to the agreement that all bonuses are subject to some condition and the gambler while agreeing to take the bonus should be aware of those conditions and this is something that we all have to understand,  For as far as bonuses are concern it must be done with the consciousness of the fact that there are not free and the gambler must be a wee of that fact.

More also I prefer to avoid bonuses in most cases this is because of the underlying conditions that come with those bonuses,  such as wagering condition and even the wagering condition we still need to be aware of the various categories of them also and this is what everyone must understand,  so for me is better I deposit money without trying to claim any bonus so that I will avoid all the conditions that come with those bonuses.

So in most cases, I don't blame the casino for having such stringent rules as a concern to their bonuses which is something that is common to all casinos but more also is the fact that most newbies don't read those rules and all that is in their mind is how to claim the free money and in the end, the end up regretting when they meet what conditions they have to abide by using those bonuses.
3357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 05, 2023, 06:29:31 PM
Gambling industry is one of the most lucrative industry for both operators and the authorities whoes jurisdiction this casinos operating,  and for the fact that i-gaming is the hype of the moment couple with the recent popularity in the online gaming,  many citizens can now have access to casinos even those that are restricted in they jurisdictions by use of VPN, so the accessibility rate to gambling have increased lately due due the increasing positive development in the I-gaming industry.

Gambling as source of revenue for the government,  it's true that the government have generated millions of dollars in revenue from casinos and even those countries that have some restrictions on gambling and operations of casinos within their jurisdictions still get taxes from the income tax of gambling from they citizens who still gamble anonymously.

So gambling is indeed beneficial to both the citizens and the government and even the casino itself and this is why gambling despite it negative effects of addiction it still make up for the largest industry that accommodate a lot of people in the society and there is no doubt about that.
3358  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin celebrities on: August 05, 2023, 05:37:12 PM
Sarcastic  Grin Grin we'll since you already stated that this thread is for joke and fun,  I will leave you to it then but when it comes to identity there is no way to joke with that most especially in the Bitcointalk forum where privacy is rated high but all the same.

Let me add a little bit of fun to this,  I think we need to have Elon musk here on the local board too because sometimes we dey see some white guys were dey enter here once,  once so we fir make any of them represent Elon Musk,  I think that fit best since Elon musk involvement in crypto is pronounced but we don't have him in the bitcointalk forum.

So since you are adding meme faces to users here,  you can also consider creating a face for Elon Musk as the big money bag and you can consider users like JayJuanGee who have displayed a wide range of financial knowledge and investment expertise, and haven't sneaked in here once a while make sense to have him included even in the first page of the thread,  and once he pin this thread for notification believing me he will react to each comment because he is most active.

But in doing that we need to make the thread more broaden so that it can trigger up discussions that will keep the thread active for a long time.

Back to the subject of wether we have any naija celeb here in the forum or involved in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, the possibility is higher in them owning Bitcoin or any other coins but being a member of the forum is something that can be debated for long and their os 90% chance that most of them don't know about bitcointalk as a forum, and even if they do, they won't be willing to remain above in the forum
3359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 04, 2023, 11:17:29 PM
I believe that phrase is meant for the original context of cryptocurrency which truly is all about Anomynity and this have changed a lot of this in both the casino that adopt cryptocurrency as a form of payment this is so because cryptocurrency allows for seamlessly untraceable transactions unless the one that is done through KYC platform.

This is why,  most important to gamble only on no KYC casinos to avoid the disposal of your identity,  moreover, cryptocurrency gambling offers privacy 79% higher than traditional
3360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweat coin. Is this real? on: August 04, 2023, 11:02:19 PM
I don't think this one is real. Personally, from experience, I don't like involving myself in airdrops from telegram groups , 99.9% of them also turn out to be fake and dubious.
Yeah, and you better remain that way because 90% of telegram deals are all scams so you must have to protect yourself against that,  and more also,  bounty and airdrops are mostly scams and at that, you should avoid engaging in them excessively.

Like the one ops share is a total scam and the aim is to swindle them of the fees the scammers are asking for,  because experience from past events has made most of us open to seeing red flags faster than any other person and it is hard for a scammer to escape our eagle eyes since we are constantly looking out for such attempts.
