3341  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and non-formal workers on: November 21, 2021, 12:27:56 PM
If you don't mind, I'd like to know how you came about such numbers/statistics that people who are not civil servants are more in the network than those who are.
I know that bitcoin is not only made for certain circle where the type of work is a barrier to owning or trading it. I only speak according to the circumstance around me where people I know both online and offline state that generally they are not civil servant. I also think that civil servant in my country have never been prohibited from owning bitcoin or trading them, it's just that the government enforce the same rule for the whole society regarding the prohibition of bitcoin which we cannot use as legal tender.

As far as I know my country doesn't prohibit civil servant from owning bitcoin or crypto, but the amount may be small based on people I know make me a little curious how this is happening in your country and the people you know. I can honestly say that some of the public servant I spoke to about bitcoin and crypto were not interested in knowing more about this digital asset. Few have thought about investing that might ask more, while others just say yes without wanting to know much.
3342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Recent Drop Below $60K Is Not Worrisome, Analyst Says on: November 18, 2021, 07:49:08 PM
No worrisome for long-term investors even if the price drops below 50K. If you can be a long-term investor and you believe to see bitcoin price even above 500K, no worries if the price drops from 69K to 50K. Otherwise, even a one percent price fall can make you worry.
In my opinion, very few investors are willing to take this risk. Some long term investors have been doing it since the beginning and they haven't even sold their bitcoin in the market until now because there is something they expect in the future from the bitcoin they have accumulated.

I never dare to do it simply because I won't miss an opportunity to sell it at a high price although I will try to buy it again at a lower price to increase the amount of bitcoin I can buy. Logically, if I managed to sell my 1 bitcoin for $65K some time ago, then today I can buy more than 1 bitcoin for $65K. But if one is willing not to sell them regardless of price volatility just because they are a long term investor, then they can truly be said to be a gold hand investor.
3343  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin and non-formal workers on: November 18, 2021, 07:32:12 PM
Since 2014 until now I have noticed that bitcoin and the crypto industry has grown very rapidly where currently its market capitalization is a testament to the successful growth of this industry.

I have been here and around people who support this growing industry such as traders, investors and bounty hunters and others. One fact about these people is that 90% (maybe more) of the people I know who support this industry are not formal workers who usually work as government employees, but they are non-formal workers working part time in some real businesses. There are only 2-3 out of 20 people (not the actual number) who are formal workers as government employees who are currently still trading crypto at my place to this day while the others are non-formal workers. What about those you know in your country, does this happen in your country and the people you know? I don't think there are any restriction governing formal workers involved in this industry as investors or traders.
3344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 17, 2021, 05:02:51 PM
Portugal has a clear chance of qualifying for the world they will likely play any of unseeded countries like Turkey, Czech, North Macedonia, Poland, Ukraine and Austria, I believe non of the above mentioned countries could any pose a serious threat or challenge to their qualifying for the world cup come March 2022 when the final playoffs will take place, though it is going to be a tough match, however, had it been they didn't make it up playoff stage it would have an outright non participation in the world, for there is hope for their country.
Portugal did not lose hope of qualifying for the playoff, but it really depend on who the opponent is because it is certain that both countries have the same desire to qualify for the world cup.

I only hope that Ronaldo can participate in the world cup once again as a player because it is very possible that he retires to represent his country after the world cup is over. This is the last chance for Ronaldo to play in the world cup and he will work hard to get his country through this time. We'll just have to wait and see who they are up against after the draw.
3345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to see Bitcoin legal in your country? on: November 17, 2021, 04:37:07 PM
it's a very good support from the government if they legalize bitcoin. in my own country, bitcoin is legal as an investment tool if the commodity is clear. however, there are so many regulations in my country that push bitcoin, or cryptocurrencies in a negative way. in fact, many think crypto is a bad thing without them learning it first. however, this is still better than seeing bitcoin or crypto banned in my country.
In Indonesia, the government has legalized crypto as a digital asset that can only be used for investment and trading need. I think you are Indonesian too and about this legality I also want to convey that Indonesia and its government prohibit crypto being used as legal tender, I think you have known this for a long time.

So far I am haven't seen any sign that the Indonesian government want to change the regulation of crypto to this day and it is still illegal to use it as a currency. I haven't heard much pressure from some government agencies and bank to legalize crypto as a currency and this will probably last a long time without much change. But of course its legality as a digital asset has brought many profit to its users.
3346  Economy / Economics / Re: Credit cards | A scam or a tool? on: November 17, 2021, 04:14:26 PM
Credit cards can be very useful and helpful, but they can also be difficult for yourself later if the person can't control their desires. so people who are allowed to have a credit card are adults who are already responsible for their finances.
And in the end, credit card seem to be a trap that make it easier for bank to ensnare you with bill and interest when credit card users are unable to control their desire.

I am not one of those who oppose credit card as well as the bank system because there was no easier way to do financial transaction for years until finally bitcoin appeared to help us reduce our dependence on bank. I don't use a credit card at this time because I don't need one but a credit card might help some people who enjoy using it.
3347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 16, 2021, 03:24:40 PM
Although they are now above group F standings, but the position of manchester united in the champions league is still very risky to be displaced by other teams, and maybe now Ole's focus can at least make manchester united qualify for the last 16 so that Ole's position will be more secure, I think Ole's current position is quite safe in manchester even though the three matches given by manchester did not get negative results, but until now we can see if Ole is still retained and this proves that manchester still believes in Ole as a coach even though there is a lot of speculation that Ole will be replaced by zidane.
We just need to support management's decision to determine who will replace him if Ole doesn't get another chance this season. He's not so bad, nor is he so influential that it's still possible to expect titles from a coach other than Ole.

Manchester United's inconsistency in performance was a factor sooner or later in management's decision to make change, but Ole will still get a few more chance at Manchester United just to improve the situation. There have been previous experiences where Arteta was quite close to sacking and changing coach, but he's got a good recipe for improving his players' form at Arsenal to this day which has made the situation safe.
3348  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: November 16, 2021, 03:16:10 PM
I think the market is completely dependent on the price of bitcoin because we all know that the dominance of bitcoin in the market is over 40%. If the capitalization of bitcoin increase then the market cap also increases due to the gradual rise in altcoin. In the last 24 hours there has been a price correction which caused the bitcoin price to drop to $59K which is the lowest level since hitting ATH $69K. It didn't take long for the rebound to happen again and by the time I'm writing this post the bitcoin price is already $61K again.

There are message we can take from how the price of bitcoin move up and down in the short term over time and one of them is don't expect the market to crash without a recovery process. Look at historical fact, bitcoin will never be destroyed because the demand will increase once people start buying a lot even during a pandemic.
3349  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: November 16, 2021, 02:37:10 PM
I'm sure I won't go crazy over it. If the price can only reach $70K then you have to look back at the fact that not all predictions will be correct. $100K is a possible/ unreachable target over the end of the year, so it's natural for most of us to expect price to not stop at $70K and $100K to be hit.

I'm just a little sorry that at the moment I don't have many opportunities to buy some bitcoin due to a lack of capital. I'm trying to collect bit by bit so it might be a lot at some point. If the price doesn't break through $100K then this will only give me more opportunities to collect more. I won't worry anymore, bitcoin is a profitable long term investment.
3350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 15, 2021, 08:17:44 AM
I'm so glad that this happened, Portugal decided not to play football and simply boringly grind for the result. They were punished for it, but they will still be huge favorites in the qualifiers and we'll probably see them in Qatar.
Only if they are able to win the play-off game, but I will be very curious who the opponent will be. Portugal will hang their fate in the play-off while we could see there was a lot of disappointment among their players yesterday especially Ronaldo. They failed as they were unable to hold on to a draw and this time Ronaldo really didn't bring his country the luck he used to do to save his team from defeat.
3351  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: November 15, 2021, 08:12:31 AM
OP, believe it or not there is always good potential and bad potential in this cryptocurrency market. If the price can be pumped up, then the price can also be dumped to go down. This situation has happened before where the price has never been stable all the time. You can learn something from their history and for the thousands of altcoins today you just need to be very careful investing with them.

Not all cryptocurrencies (altcoin) have good use case for currencies. Most of the adoption is done on bitcoin and some altcoin only while thousand more are used only for the benefit of developers and other speculators in terms of profit. Don't ignore the worst potential, you just need to be extra vigilant on asset that don't have a real use case as currency.
3352  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: November 15, 2021, 07:12:04 AM
I will have financial stability when I have a reserve of money that I can use anytime if needed without having to borrow from other people or bank. There are times when income and expense become unbalanced depending on the need at the time which requires me to use spare money to cover the lack of money that I have to spend. This is what is meant by stability because at a critical moment I still have spare fund to use without giving me additional problems such as debt burden that I have to pay.

Even if you invest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, you should also have spare money to use in times of need without having to sell your investment asset. If we do this then we really have good financial stability without further problems when we need money. Therefore, make it a habit to save some money for a reserve fund.
3353  Economy / Economics / Re: 6 billion to solve world hunger? on: November 15, 2021, 06:54:40 AM
Elon's mindset is good and it is indeed a good deed to be made, but in reality that $6 Billion isn't gonna solve the problem.
I agree with you. I think Elon Musk's desire to help reduce world hunger is not in the amount of money he gives, but in his caring attitude towards people who need help because in reality not all rich people in the world want to do or have the same mindset as him in term of humanitarian assistance, it is much more valuable in my eyes because he has a sense of caring for others.

Personally, I am amazed by Elon Musk's concern for his fellow human beings regardless of how many of his tweet have affected the crypto market both positively and negatively. This is a different case in my eyes.
3354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 12, 2021, 05:15:55 PM
Very impressive statistic in the match Germany vs Liechtenstein which ended with a goal party of 9-0.
Germany completely controlled the entire pitch and didn't let Liechtenstein's players hit the net with a shot on target. It was something that all Liechtenstein players never wanted where they had to go home in a very embarrassing way.

The surprising thing also came from the results of the Portugal vs Ireland match. I hoped Portugal could take all the opportunities to make their ambition of leading the group easy, but it all failed because Ireland were impressive in that match. Even though it only ended in a draw, Portugal still led Group A for a while with the same point as Serbia.
3355  Economy / Speculation / Re: New All Time High Baby! - $68,742.31 on: November 12, 2021, 05:00:09 PM
As much as there are whales in the market, for me what moves the market is the retail investors.

I doubt that this big whales are going to collude with each other in a bull run, and who are these super whales that are going to do it? Now, we have institutions and then billionaires moving around the crypto sphere, playing and changing the rules.

But for me, the uptake will be us, retail and average investors traders, "sum in numbers", and this is what important to move the price to $80k-$100k this year.
Institutional investor are much more dangerous than whale, for example, Elon Musk. I still remember very well how he moved the market after he announced his investment in bitcoin and adopted it as a means of payment for Tesla. But instead of spitting in his own face, he began to test the power of the market with his comment about the damage to the natural environment due to bitcoin mining. He has reportedly sold off some of his previous market-moving bitcoin investment, while he has also started supporting the altcoin meme known as Doge & Shiba.

Institutional investors & whales have a lot of power to move the market down, but regarding the uptrend, I agree that retail trader are the mastermind. I worry about whales and institutional investors, they are still considering selling some of the bitcoin they own rather than still wanting to hold them long term. This is a known strategy for securing start-up capital in my opinion.
3356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: November 12, 2021, 04:44:29 PM
I suggest they buy bitcoin for a long-term investment if the price is not increasing so high or surpassing $80k. If the price can jump from $64k to $70k, then they can sell their bitcoin and wait for another correction that will come after that. This correction reached a low price and hopefully, that is the lowest price for now and the price will increase or jump to $70k because we see the price is back to the green area.

Hopefully, the investor knows how to manage the risk to prevent the losses that can come to them. But bitcoin is good for a long-term investment so they should not worry about that.
Without ignoring the potential for a large dump or correction, anyone looking to buy for long-term investment purposes should have a mindset that can make them very comfortable with their bitcoin. It is clear to be a fact that correction are still going on all the time and investors should stick with their investment regardless of what issues happen to bitcoin like fud or any other negative news.

Investing is easy when we have faith in a certain asset, bitcoin for example. But what is difficult is maintaining consistency and defend the ultimate goal of the asset we have invested in when price and market trend change quickly.
3357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 11, 2021, 07:54:47 PM
Portugal ambitions to take over the standings which is only 1 point adrift of Serbia today is the right time to do it before going to the 2nd match
In the last match it was decisive for both teams that whoever wins will be the leader of the standings so there's no reason to waste today's opportunity
Portugal's ambition to lead the table will be easy because I don't think Ireland will be able to win today's game. In 6 match, Ireland was only able to record 1 win, while they recorded 3 defeats and 2 draws. Portugal is not an equal opponent for Ireland, but it is likely that if Portugal struggles to score goals, the match will end in a draw. But I back Portugal to win and lead the table today, 1-3 was a good guess today.

What amazes me is how Denmark is able to maintain win after win without conceding a single goal in the 8 match they played in group F. Scoring 27 goals from 8 match in my opinion is an impressive statistic.
3358  Economy / Speculation / Re: New All Time High Baby! - $68,742.31 on: November 11, 2021, 07:38:56 PM
November is still a long month reaching $70k can still be expected because bitcoin's rise is very easy with the bulls still continuing, we will know at the end of this year how much bitcoin's highest increase, but the range of $80-85k can be achieved.
If the whales don't try to move the ladder, $80 - $100K would be possible for November or December.

We can expect the upside to hit $100K, but we also need a reason why it will arrive. FUD may be a bit of a drag, but the positive sentiment toward bitcoin will form a good trend to see it cross yesterday's ATH at $69K. One of the thing that I think about is the formation of belief among the bitcoin community that by the end of 2021 the price of bitcoin will again record its ATH record. The logic is that when that trust is formed accompanied by high demand then $100 will be reached, hopefully.
3359  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption by banks - good or bad? on: November 11, 2021, 07:04:45 PM
so you mean the bank must accept a deposit in the form of bitcoin? I think most people would prefer to keep bitcoins in their own wallets. if banks don't adopt bitcoin customers will continue to decrease, I think this is a bit of an overstatement. I think customers will keep coming to the bank because they want to keep their fiat money safe, those who store money in bitcoin of course their goal is to invest not keep money safe.
If your bank provides security guarantees and good interest rates for the bitcoins you deposit, why not? But this is not the main problem. If someone or several people agree in this way, why not because I think it will be mutually beneficial for both.

Bitcoin users basically want to manage their money without a central authority where they can make transaction anywhere and anytime they want without being controlled by the authorities. If a bank offers such a service then obviously they have created a centralized service for bitcoin users but not for bitcoin as they don't have the ability to regulate bitcoin but can only do it for users.
3360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: November 11, 2021, 06:55:35 PM
This time is still good to buy but always be careful because the market now is at the bear market that can lead to the down of the price for more.
We are still in a bullish phase even though you saw the correction in the last 24 hours. There is a growing belief from the public that the end of 2021 will be the peak of bitcoin's price hike where opinion about the current bear market may not be relevant to most people. As you said, please make a purchase if they have considered the risk because no one dares to guarantee the future price of bitcoin. This bitcoin price is built on the trust of its community where increasing demand make it even more expensive.

Two thing can be done to bitcoin if they want to invest now, buy it for a long term investment or buy it for currency immediately after purchase. This will make the investor or adopter reduce the risk of frustration if the price dump.
