Yes. There is no bitcoin at all. However, the website dosent sell the premium directly. There is a list of voucher resellers. Uploading a pic from my iPhone, sorry, in having fun with other things. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FDxGDsEa.jpg&t=663&c=WhBkJ3QvFo-dJA) I might be stupid but I still think that we will see bitcoin payments there soon.

Sorry for the unfounded rumor guys.

we WILL be shipping bASIC bitcoin mining devices in March 2013 and I am willing to put my own money against anyone who says otherwise. I want to be that one. 200BTC that you will not ship by the last day of March 2013, Tom. If someone else want to join this bet I think that there is a lot of room for everyone.

I speculate it has a lot to do with the notorious general lack of knowledge of the English language in these countries. ^This, plus lack of libertarian tradition, plus lack of general understanding about the economic system. You have yet to prove this lack of adoption, so please stop offending a whole country, you know, it gets people angry.
|
|
|
You cannot base the bitcoin adoption on the number of nodes - we don't almost have a network here. Most of us are lucky if they have access to a laggy and unrealiable 0.3MB/s connection with almost no upload. And beside that yes, we lack in English too. Yunger generations are recovering from the gap.
Anyway, a good news; our last finance minister during an interview on the tv talked, sporadically, about bitcoin. He didn't said the word, but he was enthusiast for this new "currency from the web for the web".
|
|
|
I will be attending the conference with several staff, We are also considering putting in a few nodes to contribute towards such an interesting project.

Bitcoin/$ rate is exploding. Looks like a lot of bitcoins needed for refunds are missing, huh?
Bullshit. Please stop. Yeah, well actually he's right about the price soaring up until about 1 and a half hours ago. It looks like we're rapidly approaching normal levels again however by now. Yes, but that is not BFL buying the BTC needed for refunds.

Is bitcoin breaking 15$ today a conincidence?
I must say that i have my doubts. Maybe the market is pricing in this already and in case bitcoin will not be supported there will be a crash.

Selected members of the press will be granted access to the new MEGA website 48 hours before the launch. I thought there would be some news coming out since it's less than 48 hours now... guess we'll just have to wait for launch to find out... I can't imagine mega.co.nz will be accepting paypal though. Most probably they will accept some external cc provider. There is no need for paypal.

He posted this screen shot of the new mega account page in his twitter feed. Since he is still using "billing cycle" terminology it looks like he is going down the credit card route (partially) a good point. If i was in .com i would use a dual stack payment system. And yet i would use that terminology. A billing cycle could be paid via BTC.

BFL used bitpay, they received dollars when you paid so that's what you get back. They received bitcoins, not dollars. I can not send dollars to the bitcoin address they've specified on their invoce. It is entirely up to BFL what service they'll use to receive bitcoin payments. I have no control what they do once they get my bitcoins. If they decide to use Vatican to receive my bitcoins, will I get back a Bible for refund? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fhowardhughes.trinity.duke.edu%2Fuploads%2Fassets%2Fimage%2FChisom%2520Amalunweze%2FSurprised%2520face.gif&t=663&c=wH-_fUQxemRGZg)

You can get a $ refund, correct?

How can they have such good prices? Are they selling at a loss? Not paying taxes?
There MUST be something deep there.

They are either trolling us by letting us here cooking or running away.
I must say that I find it really strange not to have any kind of update. Why should they not update us here if they are on schedule? I fear that something went wrong. (I suggested guys here to resell their order... It would have been a safe and big gain).

It's really unlikely that bitcoin will replace all world currencies in 20-30 years.
Especially if you consider that any single copy of the blockchain would grow by 6 TeraByte PER DAY. i thought the maximum block size was 1mb. 144 blocks per day = maximum 144mb per day. Yes. Yes it is. See the problem? THAT'S actually a bigger problem: I see that we have blocks of 200-300KB today, with 500-600 transactions. A limit of less than 2000 transactions every 10 mins can be reached quite quickly if bitcion spreads. If I'm correct this is a hard limit imposed while "we are still in alpha stage". There is nothing that locks us from growing the blockchain 1GB per day. As someone pointed out, SSDs are already cheap enought.

I also said on the first post that cracking the blochain with this hardware is impossible, however it could be with quantum computers, that exists, they are not only a dream.
It will come a time when 160bits will not be enough. And I know that there are more combinations than atoms in the visible universe, but thank you anyway for this cool math.
