3341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch cinemas using bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 06:09:43 AM
Back in 2015 this was big news, but things might have changed a bit since then. I know some merchants who started accepting Bitcoin has stopped, because there were not enough business to support for it. If we want services and merchants to continue supporting Bitcoin, we will have to use Bitcoin for their services.

Can anymore say if they still pay for movies with bitcoins?

Well that is sad news, I thought that they have continued the trade. Maybe it is just to early for them to implement such actions since as you mentioned there are no customers or clients that year that has access and holds bitcoin. But possibly this year it will be realized but not on America but in Japan since they already adopted bitcoin as a form pf payment in exchange for services and goods in their country.
3342  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ivanka received from the Arabs $ 100 million. on: May 24, 2017, 06:05:29 AM
I ask immediately apologize for this news if it's fake, but I have heard this. Has anyone heard about this? If so then is it not corruption? Is it a gift for a special Prosecutor. Trump has lost all fear of impeachment.

There are many accusations and false articles with no basis at all against President Trump. And so we must make sure that before we believe on it we must do some thorough research so that we can gather enough facts to back up our claims. Otherwise we are manufacturing and spreading false stories that will help destroy the president. But it is not also bad to hear bad news but without doing some research it would be harmful.
3343  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to Reach $1T Market Capital on: May 24, 2017, 06:02:13 AM

Buy whole coins, just a handful and keep them for the long run. You may be investing for your retirement and for some fun along the way.

Look for entry points to get a better reward but remember to hold them. This is not get rich quick scheme. That moment has and is already gone.

Accumulate more at $1800,$1200 if at all.

Right now the price action has surge and there is no base to return other than the area mentioned above. This will most likely be considered the crash of bitcoin by the news outlets. Don't listen to them. Use the opportunity to buy halves or wholes. You want to have at least 5 to 10 whole Bitcoins.

I do agree and it is the right time to hoard at least one bitcoin and store them for long years. I have been saving some of my earned satoshis until I can complete 1 bitcoin. After which I will hoard it for five to ten years or maybe more so that I can enjoy a good life in the future with bitcoin. I am placing my dreams on bitcoin to buy a house and lot for me and my family.
3344  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UFO flies from North Korea over border with South on: May 24, 2017, 05:56:57 AM
South Korea's military fired warning shots after it spotted an unidentified object flying from North Korea across the Demilitarized Zone that divides the two countries, according to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The object, which the South Korean military said was no longer visible, was spotted two days after Pyongyang test-fired a ballistic missile -- its second missile test in seven days.
It's not the first time South Korea has reacted to an object sent across its border.

The South responded with machine-gun fire after an unidentified North Korean aircraft crossed the DMZ early last year. It "immediately went towards the North," a South Korean official said at the time.
North Korea is believed to have a fleet of more than 1,300 fighter jets, as well as an unspecified number of its own unmanned aerial vehicles, according to a 2015 report to Congress from the US Department of Defense.
Two suspected North Korean drones were found in South Korea in 2014, one on the island of Baengnyeong and another in the city of Paju, close to the border.

Actually it was not a UFO but a balloon coming from North Korea. But it seems that the topic you posted has some missing lines, but the said UFO was already been identified and verified by South Korea as a North Korean Propaganda Balloons. Those were the North Korean defector filled balloons with information about the murder of Kim Jong Un's half-brother, Kim Jong Nam.
3345  Economy / Economics / Re: Alibaba’s Jack Ma: “Everyone Should Have a Bank Account.” on: May 24, 2017, 05:47:37 AM
Though Alibaba is rich but is not the best example for good thing about bitcoin. Having a bank Account and online wallet I don't think is the same. Bank has it own traditional role in our society today because human mind in general has not developed to the extent of putting financial role completely in The air. Bitcoin, blockchain and others crypto currencies are still in the infant stage so people are sceptical about it.

Having a wallet with bitcoin is what meant by Jack Ma. If you have bitcoins then you are your own bank. It simply means that you are now in total control of your asset including the interest rate and not the traditional banks. Bitcoin is empowering people to not rely on the traditional banking system and to move out of the old cycle. This time we are our own banks.
3346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Japanese Airlines to accept bitcoins soon on: May 24, 2017, 05:40:53 AM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/japanese-budget-airlines-will-accept-bitcoin-in-2017-install-btms-at-airports

According to this article, Japanese Budget Airlines are going to accept bitcoins this year. They declared that later this year we can now enjoy flights without bringing our wallets but our bitcoins in our smartphones. As part also of their new innovation they have installed BTMs or Bitcoin ATM on the airport for the convenience of their customers. With this we can expect an increase in tourist visits to Japan.
3347  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptos success will probably lead to a global financial system reset on: May 24, 2017, 05:35:51 AM
That will never happen since cryptocurrency will never replace fiat currency. The way cryptocurrency moves right now especially bitcoin complements with fiat currency and not go against it. It has become the representative of fiat currency on online transactions. The only way for cryptocurrency to take over is for countries to create their own version of digital currency to replace cash.

And another thing, if in case the draconians are real our cryptocurrencies are doomed since their technology is highly advanced compared to us. But those are just myths and conspiracy theories.
3348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 05:28:03 AM
i doubt it.
criminal activities were happening even before bitcoin. for example the ransomware that everyone is talking about these days have been around a very long time before bitcoin was created!

and besides since bitcoin doesn't offer real anonymity it can not really help the criminals as much as things like hard cash helps them.

Ransomware is a different issue. Bitcoin has open a new portal to a world of opportunities and that includes investment and as a mode of payment in exchange for goods and services. But  the moment bitcoin was kicking big in the market the scammers and other cybercriminals have widen their area of operation. Compared to fiat currency they can only transact within their political bounds but since bitcoin can be used globally without passing any banks cybercriminals can now find a victim in any place in the world using the web.
3349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 05:11:25 AM
https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

3351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Watch cinemas using bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 04:55:45 AM
http://www.coindesk.com/movietickets-com-bitcoin-payments-900-movie-theaters/

Are you from the USA have you already heard of a cinema accepting bitcoins as payment. A post was made by Pete Rizzo at coindesk dated June 15, 2015 saying that Movie Tickets.com will bring bitcoin to over 900 US movie theaters all over the United States. I was glad to read such article but given the date I am not certain if they have already implemented it or the theaters in the USA are already started to accept bitcoins.

Your thoughts on this..
3352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: May 24, 2017, 02:55:09 AM
Bitcoin and PayPal are not exactly in the same category, Bitcoin is a currency, while PayPal is more like a service or something. So, they can not be compared. Bitcoin is competing with other currencies, fiat or crypto (even though altcoins are not even a threat), while PayPal is competing with other similar services.

But even though they are not on the same category but bitcoin can make paypal business go out of the market. When people are all oriented with bitcoins they will have no use to paypal and thus it will be threat to paypal. If paypal will not do something about possibly they will be no more in the coming years. When that time comes it is truly right to say that bitcoin has overcome paypal.
3353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: i have a heck of a good feeling on: May 24, 2017, 02:32:21 AM
even though <<< whoever you think is to blame >>> almost totally fucked up and killed bitcoin,  it seems like we'll be able to move forward.  Great days are ahead.  Main stream hasn't even gotten on board yet.  I'm thinking Bitcoin will be $100k within 10 years.

HODL!!!

Your good feeling will be a reality and many bitcoin holders are very positive to meet the value of bitcoin not just on 100k dollars but on 1 million dollars each. 2017 has been very fruitful due to adoption of two countries namely Japan and Australia and by October the UASF has moved to the activation of a scaled segwit. This will bring bitcoin into a new level this year and will cause its value to spike at 5k$ by the end of the year. Hoping in 10 years your prediction will be a reality.
3354  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the European Union being $12 trillion in debt devalue the euro? on: May 24, 2017, 02:17:17 AM

The european union being $12 trillion in debt seems like a neglected topic that is seldom raised or discussed.

If the united states being $20 trillion in debt is leading many nations to get rid of the us dollars they're holding, should the same precedent apply to the euro with the european union holding a large deficit?

Also -- if both the us dollar and the euro are headed towards devaluation & possible hyperinflation, does this open the door to crypto and bitcoin gaining a much larger userbase with higher demand in the future?

What are everyone's thoughts on this?   Huh

This is the biggest irony in the world. Even if the European Union and the United States has a very large debt they will still not go down since they have connections around the world an nobody would dare to go against them. Their only downfall is if their citizens will purchase bulk volumes of bitcoin and leave the US dollars and Euro. IF that happens then US dollar and Euro will be devalued.
3355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global Fiat and "wealth" over time...where does Bitcoin fit in? on: May 24, 2017, 01:33:16 AM
What are your thoughts of Bitcoin and how it fits in the larger picture of global fiat base (liquidity)?

An excerpt:

https://macromon.wordpress.com/2017/04/26/the-chart-that-floats-overvaluation/

"We have estimated a global liquidity concept called the “global monetary base” which is simply the sum of the U.S. monetary base and the world’s official foreign exchange reserves.   Since most of the official FX reserves — about 65 percent — are held in dollars most of the global monetary base is in the U.S. financial system."

Bitcoin cannot fit in. If you notice the actual amount of US dollars in Circulation versus the number of bitcoin in the circulation there is a huge gap. Even if we make 1 bitcoins value at 100 million dollars it cannot still fit in since the amount of bitcoins is short. Thus we can say that bitcoins cannot replace the US dollars as the official legal tender but in a way it will complement the fiat currency.
3356  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Palestinians must renonce all jerusalem, all chrstians hotspots, and all claims. on: May 23, 2017, 12:57:26 PM
The Palestinian Muslims already have their own nation, and the name of that country is Jordan. They should leave the West Bank of the Jordan river to the Jews. After all, there are more than 50 Islamic nations around the world. The Jews have only one nation, and that is Israel. Perhaps Abbas can become the Prime Minister of Jordan.

This problem about Jews and Palestinians date back long before Christianity was born and up to now it is still a big issue. But instead of making racial descriminations and plotting revenge peace should be the one that should be promoted in these areas. If peace and love can be taught to these people then we will no longer think about violence, tyranny and death in the Palestenian occupied lands.
3357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing into alts with higher inflation, velocity and less hashpower+security? on: May 23, 2017, 12:52:49 PM
Does not really make sense to me - any ideas where I might be wrong ?

If not - we might see a big dot-com like bubble burst soon ....

Sorry for warning and ripple your nipple as long as you can.

Speaking of ripple many have been mourning and posting sad comments on facebook as to how they lost a huge amount after ripples value went down. But anyway not all atcoins are that bad what we need really is the timing and luck so if we do some trading we can get a huge profit from those altcoins. But compared to bitcoin altcoins have a big probability of price meltdown compared to bitcoins.
3358  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: May 23, 2017, 12:49:35 PM
trading is just taking a profit to something you will be trading on, while investing is believing on the project or coin that you are invested to. Trading is basing on the hype or on the charts, having technical knowledge about trading will help you to have profits while on investment you need to just research on the coin and the projects that it has and believe on the developers behind the project.

well if you look at it closely, when you trade, you're investing on an altcoin which makes it pretty much the same. both require you to gather as much information as possible on where you're going to invest on or what altcoin you're going to deal with. bith requires patience to be able to make the most out of your capital

Yes it is true that trading is a form of investment which needs skills, patience and timing. But it is also risky since if you make a wrong move and become impatient its either you wont gain a profit or you will lose your capital. But if we have learned the basic of trading we can earn more and gain much profit even with a very small capital.
3359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin even have a future? on: May 23, 2017, 12:28:24 PM
We all expect bitcoin to continue to the moon, so we who have bitcoin earn a big profit, I also, I have some bitcoin and I keep it to expect bitcoin prices up to $ 50k. So I can get married and have a decent home, hope so

Bitcoin has a bright future but expecting the 50k dollar price is a very long way to go. Probably it will occur after 5 to 6 years. But its worth the wait since if bitcoin will reach that high price then you can really have the funds to get married. I too am dreaming to construct a house of my own for my family and I am placing my luck on bitcoins.
3360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of many reasons why I love bitcoin on: May 23, 2017, 12:24:05 PM
Many things make me love bitcoin, bitcoin saves my life from poverty. Bitcoin is the most amazing thing of internet. Much can you do with bitcoin, I hope the bitcoin price keeps going up

Saving ones life from poverty, that is the best reason to love bitcoins. It is also the main reason why I love bitcoin since without bitcoin I would be drowning in debt and poverty. But when bitcoin comes along it provided me online job opportunities and additional income. Right now I have paid 70% of my total debts and I already have some savings.
