Hey, fairnoobs, QRK was not 98% premined, it was instamined.
Proof: QRK announced 21 July 2013 - 12:05 PM here: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/865-quark-qrk-information/
First block was mined 2013-07-21 12:03:50 http://quarkexplorer.com/block/00000cae787f2a1468740995fdbdadbd65e52026e485a4c3965e12f775a21f91
If your fairclone with fair 4% premine dies tomorrow, it will be fair. I hope it will.

This

The dev needs to be reported for making such a bold lie. Some butthurt guy made this coin to spread fud. He also pre mined 10 million coins (4%) and will probably give away 1 million to bounties and stuff holding millions himself. He tries to deceive people with lying, not trustable at all.
3342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CryptoKopen.eu has launched! Buy ALTCOINS with Skrill! on: January 16, 2014, 01:34:28 PM
So OP was badmouthing Quark, but has added PRT which is a copy and paste coin of QRK.

This exchange is certainly not for top coins, or else it would have BTC/LTC/QRK/PPC/NMC listed
Made me laugh.

Bitcoin ASIC (SHA 256)
Litecoin GPU (scrypt)
Quark CPU (9 algos 6 hashes) - already around 14+ clones

Saw this in another thread and it's very eye-opening:

http://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-quarkcoin-addresses.html

Notice how fewer than 300 people control a whopping 76% of all Quarks in existence.

That is insane.

Where's this massive decentralization we were promised?

Well you can't do anything about someone buying $2m worth of Quark, which shows how popular Quark has actually become.

It's like someone buying $100m worth of LTC. You cannot forbid them. It's a free market.

Op you haven't added the most popular coin QRK which was the first in it's hashing family and one of the top voted in the poll, but instead you added PRT which is some unknown QRK clone and not even on the voting list.

QRK is superior to anything on that list with $millions invested in, you were blindly calling it a scam to promote your own worthless copy and paste coin PRT. This does not make you transparent and trustworthy at all

1. Copy/Paste
2. Premine (with tearful story about honesty....)
3. Exchange (cryptsy or bter or coinedup)
4. PROFIT ))
only scam only hardcore)))

+1

OP trying to compete against Quark the king of 9 rounds 6 hashing functions. It's like doge calling out btc and failing miserably.

Quark was not premined. This coin is premined. Therefore it may be called UnfairQuark as well. Cheers.

This coin is a joke, it's like making FBTC (fair bitcoin) assuming satoshi pre mined bitcoins.

Also the logo is like a failed attempt on Facebook logo. Quark is the first. It's like BTC in it's hashing family deal with it

OP QRK is way bigger than being part of that poll. It doesn't even have to be on that poll amongst the newly unknown coins. It's one of the top traded cryptos on Cryptsy and recently got added to CoinMKT. It's popular enough to be listed.

Usually quark was winning every poll, is it forgotten already?

lol QRK doesn't even have to be listed on that poll, its king amongst those newly copy coins. QRK should be listed in a poll with BTC and LTC
3357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: January 15, 2014, 04:51:20 PM
@superresistant you are talking out of your ass. Quark is the third biggest Crypto family with over 12 clones already and almost instant transaction with 30 sec. faster than any top coin. Also those features you mentioned can be added to Quark at a later stage. It go added on CoinMKT already.

Also LTC is a copy of Tenebrix i don't see you whining about that, loser
3358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] A new forum for alternative crypto coins. on: January 15, 2014, 04:36:19 PM
I would like to see the following main boards:

  • sha256 coins
  • scrypt coins
  • hybrid coins

It would be clear and easy to navigate. Something like cryptocointalk.com

sha256d and scrypt added already hybrid noted Smiley

Bitcoin ASIC (SHA 256)
Litecoin GPU (scrypt)
Quark CPU (9 algos 6 hashes) - already around 12+ clones

You forget the 3rd Crypto family. Quark came up with a pretty nice different feature and has over 12 clones already
3359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Which Alt Coin will see the most growth in 2014? on: January 15, 2014, 01:30:38 PM
Number one on the poll Quark, it's at the same phase as LTC was for months. It's the third biggest crypto family.

Bitcoin ASIC (SHA 256)
Litecoin GPU (scrypt)
Quark CPU (9 algos 6 hashes) - already around 12+ clones
3360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42Coin BIGGEST SCAM?? on: January 13, 2014, 09:13:14 PM

I still believe those coins are a scam, 100% premined. I am also BTC/LTC fan, recently QRK also because it is trying to do something different, but 42 doesn't it brings nothing new and is around $1m a piece, its ridiculous. Although i wish you good luck with your investment.

If there were 42,000,000,000 coins and they were 0.00000002 each then the market cap would be exactly the same. The value per coin isn't really all that ridiculous, although I will grant that it's a clone.

The thing that's special about it is that it gets us to think about what bitcoin would be like if Satoshis were valuable and hard to mine. What value this brings, well that's for the market to decide.

Btw, dismissing NXT, XRP, MSC due to a pre-mine is a really simplistic way of trying to dismiss an idea - just realize that there are more ways than mining to distribute a coin. The point of altcoins is to try things that bitcoin isn't - let the market decide if they're valuable or not.

I don't think it's right to hinder someone else's investment to make money with hating threads. So you're kind of right. If i jumped in 42 early i wouldn't have called it a scam, so i changed the title. I'm not that kind of person to bash other coins. Good luck

Thanks you for changing the title of the topic and removing the "s" word.

If you could post your 42 coin address, we can see if we can get you some donations.
