3341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: January 2021 — share your gambling experiences on: January 27, 2021, 08:52:28 AM
Nothing special for me so far this year but I guess I could share a most memorable "almost" win from real life? We play sometimes this number predictions game from 3 digits to 6 digits (there are even more some other places but from the place I follow, this is what they have).

Every now and then I choose 10 running numbers,,, ***0 to ***9 but this last time last week I chose only 9 running numbers, ***1 to ***9.

I do not need to tell which result came out first prize (which I did not win)Smiley
3342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!] on: January 27, 2021, 08:10:24 AM
I have seen this Pi network thing been shilled a lot, and yes, even I downloaded it at some point but when I discovered it was like a huge ponzi with earnings from referrals and no block explorer (that I could find),,, I did not.

I think the founders really milking their education (stanford).
3343  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: January 27, 2021, 06:56:30 AM
last i checked it was 1.86, quite genereous

That really was generous, hope MultiMagic gives us EPL again. All those selections are so bad for us.

Anyway, so there were absolutely no draws last night, so I missed the Arsenal/Southampton one in the end. And picked a small victory for all the others so 2 results and 1 close means I actually managed to climb 1 place in the sportsbet sponsored pool,,, terrible round for everyone. Good game Arsenal!
3344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 26, 2021, 05:40:10 PM
^^^^ Great round again araalmuus and of course it cannot be said enough thanks to everyone who makes this thread and activity so enjoyable. I do try to look very hard for lessons to learn in this competition but all I can say is that,,, sometimes you perform not according to your expertise but according to the matches that were selected for MultiMaster.

For example I do better I notice when I do not even know the leagues and just pick based on odds from the bookie;)
3345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Creating a trading bot on: January 26, 2021, 05:11:46 PM
every trading bot is bound to have a margin of error. This is a classic situation to face, sometimes inaccurate predictions and this is normal. we can only control and determine the rise or fall of this trade. because if we expect more in this trading bot I think it's impossible to be accurate

The margin of error rarely comes from the bot itself but from other things like latency,,, especially your speed of internet and the platform you are using itself. So the best bots work well with the best APIs at the best exchanges.

Not to mention of course your own coding;)
3346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 26, 2021, 03:59:29 PM
Manchester City defender Eric Garcia (20) and Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum (30) are both going to be out of contract at the end of this season. Barcelona are interested in them both to sign them in the summer.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/barcelona-georginio-wijnaldum-liverpool-transfer-23375521

I like Wijnaldum a lot,,, I think he would do really well at my club (Spurs) but as usual guys like him they will be attracted to clubs like Barca, imagine supplying the line for Messi instead of just Mane and Salah;)

But Garcia too young, not established yet.
3347  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The easiest crypto social media site by Speedking (FREE) on: January 26, 2021, 03:15:26 PM
^ 50 gb space is no restrictions on download and upload bandwidth? Meaning, if I share the files I host, unlimited people can download it and can have multiple connections at the same time?

Just curious;) Running out of crypto related options for storage sometimes;)
3348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 26, 2021, 01:36:30 PM
You know that old saying guys: "It is much tougher to stay on top than to get on top", same goes for defending of the title.

We have a really strange season on our hands, I don't remember when it was so crowded at the top of Premier League. Few good results in a row and all top teams find themselves gunning for the title. Now when Chelsea changed the coach and if it turns out to be positive shock they could also start rapid rise towards the top and make the race even more interesting. They have the team for that sure if they just manage to click together.

Not always true for all the leagues,,, for example in Italy and France and even in Netherlands you see that the guys actually get stronger with every time they win. It gets easier every season you stay on top, until the time comes to rebuild your old squad. Liverpool still need to win one or two more in a row then they get to that stage,,, but it is not over for them yet. Other teams know they are in a "speed bump".
3349  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUDS are big Confirmations that were in a Bull Market!!!!!! on: January 26, 2021, 08:39:39 AM
This just reminded me of 2018 where FUDers were everywhere in ensuring the market bent to their manipulation, those who fell victims are those who never did research about these FUDS rather panic sold their holdings. There is always FUDS whenever the cryptocurrency market start experiencing bubbles, most medias always at that point talk about the bubble burst which always create avenue for panic sellers to sell to the FUders.

I thought it was 2017 actually, and then they all went quiet when the market literally exploded with value,,, but of course they all came back in 2018 and 2019 but by that time even the loudest ones were actually the hypers (yes Defi was big talk even in 2019).

FUD is always there, present. Even the hodlers are guilty of it sometimes.
3350  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦺 BK8.com 🦺 Asia Biggest and Most Trusted Brand 👛 BTC & USDT 👛 on: January 26, 2021, 08:00:35 AM
If it has an 8 in it,,, it has an Asian audience;) I actually used to play at many online casinos like this, but since moving to crypto ones I have not looked back to them. Better odds (sports) and lower house edge games and better customer support in general. But if you can deposit BTC and get other currencies, can you withdraw in a different currency?
3351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who controls the bitcoin price? on: January 26, 2021, 06:22:58 AM
Who owns a lot of Bitcoin and a lot of Fiat he can control the market but not completely. Like the whales who were of course very influential when they started selling and buying bitcoins. The whales have a very important role, they have their own plans to control where the bitcoin price will go. The government and influencers only affect market fundamentals, when the government issues policies and some influencers try to explain to the public, it will affect the price of bitcoin.

Each of them has the opportunity to be able to influence the price of bitcoin, but not completely.

There is no such person anymore. There was not even one in 2016 or 2017 (which the US government itself admitted in conclusions to Bitcoin assessment) which makes it a purely decentralized crypto asset. The same cannot be said for most altcoins,,, even ETH needed a few more years to become more decentralized and still has not achieved Bitcoin's level of distribution.
3352  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Got Hacked From My Wallet on: January 25, 2021, 04:50:30 PM
I think the reason why they are still around is because they are not regulated like an exchange and also they do provide useful blockchain information on their site which increase their popularity and people’s truth.

This is a small matter of risk versus reward for some people. They do not want to risk their information and personal details thru KYC so they go for an unregulated exchange that they then risk have poor security measures.

To be fair,,, not necessarily does a regulated exchange have good security measures. Wild, wild jungle of crypto and we can get unlucky if we are not careful!
3353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 25, 2021, 03:25:33 PM
I do not think that they can get both of them. Barcelona 10 years ago was a big big name, they were capable of signing any player they want both with money because they were earning so much but for free as well  because they were a huge team that can pay so much but also give you a lot of titles as well, who wouldn't want to be on the team with xavi, iniesta and peak messi and win champions league, la liga and many more with them? There was some hype around it.

Well, they signed Coutinho for crazy price only a few years ago,,, and still are able to sign on big names and big players, if not for that clubs will not sell them now. I think they are still a big club, just like AC Milan are still big even though they are no longer a winner in recent times. Barcelona will win something again soon, and still have Messi.
3354  Economy / Speculation / Re: $27000 or $35000? Which will Bitcoin head to at the end of Jan.? on: January 25, 2021, 01:46:47 PM
Or Chinese people will buy bitcoin because its quite cheap at the moment, but I'm trying to drive at is that these holidays or festivities has nothing to do with the growth of the price of the decline, I don't think there is any correlation at all.

Maybe the price will be in the middle, at the end of January, around $30k-$31k.

Yes,,, an old theory I first came across in 2017 that Chinese New Year makes Chinese people go crazy and buy Bitcoin. It never makes sense because we all know in Asia people SPEND money not save during festivities.

So if anything should happen,,, people should be selling Bitcoin. But nobody sells stocks or gold for holidays:)
3355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 25, 2021, 01:07:42 PM
I think we all know that the Covid argument here is just pretextual. The state is losing millions of dollars in tax revenue due to illegal gambling, and of course they don't want to miss out on that.
Covid is, of course, a great reason to get the broadest possible support among the population for the measures taken.

100% Covid is used to blame everything and anything,,, but the fact always remains in the issue of gambling. Should it be legal so that it can be taxed? But if so, the state has to fight with moral values and religion and ethics, which culturally in Thailand is a vice and frowned upon by most members of society.
3356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 25, 2021, 11:33:58 AM
I don't know why most top team coaches in the EPL always look down on the FA cup especially when they are doing good in the EPL. What's wrong should a team win the both trophy? I believe Klopp wasn't more concerned of winning this game against Manchester United, all he wanted was a draw and instead he lost. You don't joke with a team playing from there home except your set on loosing and Manchester United is even more deadly playing from home. Kudos to Manchester United and I hope this will go a long way to boosting the morale in the EPL.
Everton is another team that did great yesterday to have beaten Sheffield Wednesday by 3-0 goals. Chelsea on the other hand still conceived a goal and scored 3 goals to secure there win.

I do not think this is always the case,,, it is just a matter of importance. When you have to win the league, and everybody believes the league is most important, then of course you sacrifice the cups, even FA cups. IT will always be important and magical for most clubs no matter their status, but it is just that with schedules so crowded you have to care about player health now.
3357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We once had a barter system here, but the government smashed it on: January 25, 2021, 10:22:05 AM
Where was your country OP? I think the government was unfair in that decision,,, but I see it as impossible now for them to stop anyone from trading and bartering on their own. In fact, why not just do that with Telegram or some other app that cannot fall under state surveillance? People do it all the time in this current economy.
3358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DeFi Coins Boom as Crypto Market Recovers on: January 25, 2021, 07:36:17 AM
I actually did read about all the Defi coins rising but had no idea LINK was making a new all time high. I even saw NEXO has been steadily climbing higher and higher to new ATHs (which is not really a Defi coin I guess but it has similar concepts).

Still,,, not a good investment as if you had bought BTC right?Wink
3359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 25, 2021, 07:03:04 AM
51 goals is a lot for sure and well done to JanpriX for getting it so right:) And to you guys who got 12 and 11 right, wow so amazing. It seems it was an "easy" week as even my 7 score is the lowest of the group, I guess many many people got 10 or more right. The total odds also shows that it was not a hard week to predict;)
3360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think DeFi season is going to be just like Altcoin season? on: January 22, 2021, 02:36:52 PM
yes  for sure, market is growing and hyping so i also see a lot of strange defi concepts(( but still, i pay my attention to the interesting and credible dex projects, with nice liquidity partners
Currently some markets are not growing, but it is not predictable even though some of the Dex projects are still holding good positions and some strange defi concepts are still holding out in their current conditions.

DEX really relies so so much on people using it and continuing to like it. The chicken and egg problem persists in DEX: people do not use it because there is too little liquidity, and there is too little liquidity because people do not use it. So I feel like people must have other advantages for using Dex,,, maybe this is the future of DEX being a part of some other main utility.
