ioglnx with your windows port, the consumption is way too high, i'm at 640 sol but 800 watt, not really that efficient, something not optimized well in the code i think sp what is your consumption with your modded version? also too much throttling
|
|
|
what do you get with the memory underclocked. (-500?)
620-630 sol, and 670 with +550 mem, not worth it for just 50 sol, because the consumption also increase by 50 watt or higher
|
|
|
after the miner work for some time, there is gpu throttling and the hashrate begin to decline a bit
if i restart it work good again and then it do the same thing after 5-10 min
somethign wrong in the code maybe? with zawawa version there was not such issue
|
|
|
amph: win 7 64, 372.54 drivers
btw, i always wondered about those GPU usage and power oscillating patterns.. are those normal?
372.90 here, i think yes, code is not optimized it may be also for pool side problem, mine do that as well just checked again, and no, my gpu sit there at 98% no swings in usage, so it perhaps the problem is in your side only

360 sols for 4x1070 g1 with no OC .. i'm at 106 with 1070 g1 gaming, you should definitely get more try to play with msi afterburner for the g1 gaming -502 mem 0 core and 55% tdp work great, low power while still a nice hashrate, good compromise for me what´s wrong?? this is what i get... subestrange you should get 400+, what drivers? OS seems windows 7 i'm on win 10, it may be a factor

something wrong, by controlling my machine via teamviewer, the miner start but hang there and no response, it seems that it's not working at all ok fixed it was -cs and cv 0, what are those btw what they do? it happened the same here... what are the right switches? -cs ? -cv ? i just removed them altogether

Okay done porting I got it working :-D
what is the hashrate with this last porting? can you upload it, you have a github?

NEW COMMIT
Solo mining fix: the bits field is a decimal number representing the diff, so it fails on its own json check. Since it's not used in getwork, we can ignore it; getblocktemplate + longpoll doesn't work anyways.
what is the hashrate for a 1070 of the last release?
|
|
|
release it as an open source, the hashrate is plagued by higher hashrate by amd, so there is no competition, no point in selling it and the open source will likely catch up First off, no one is going to pay in advance for a closed piece of software that could be malware or nothing at all. Secondly, even if this is totally legit, then dev, as soon as you sell a few they will get leaked.
Conclusion: Don't be a moron. Do what Claymore did for Nvidia. Just make a windows nvidia miner with 2.5% dev fee and release it. Trust me, if you are legit you will make much more than .15 btc.
dev fee will not remove the possible malware, because for dev fee to be a thing he need to maintain it private

As far as the OP, I didnt build rigs for zcash. I did, however, build a little farm for Ether (a bit later into the hype than I should have but so be it). I mined Ether for awhile and then switched to zcash on day 1 and have been mostly there ever since. I do keep up with price and such and will switch back once the profitability dies. SOme pictures and specs here: http://forum.feathercoin.com/topic/8678/new-farm-setup/If you build a rig for Ethereum, then it will be useless for Ethereum within a year as it will be PoS by that time. the hashrate and money will likely move to somethign else, like etheruem classic or zclassic or whatever any new thign will come out the profit in those coins can not simply disappear it will re-arrange itself to a new beginning i still remember when many were saying some months ago that after ethereum the mining scene would have been dead, look now you have other good options...

really good small improvement each time, now i'm doing 100 sol per gpu on stock without overclock, actually with an heavy underclock on the mem i think we still have plenty of room, because a 1070 should at very least reach 150 but i suspect 180 can be achieved too Does it mean the memory speed is not so important for the new implementation, so the 1080 could be better? it is, and the 1080 use a different type of memory than the 1070 that's why it is worse in hashing but apaprently the theoretical maximum for nvidia in equihash should be higher than amd

well wih the last porting of silentarmy a 1070 is doing the same, 96 sol for 95 watt, 1:1 ratio, the problem is that it should do 150 sol with 150w to be on par with amd
The 1070's are too expensive.. Bether to buy $50 cards at ebay. yeah but then you have 6 x 750 doing like 2 x 1070, and you need 3 rig to match one rig, this mean 3 x psu 3 x MB ram cpu etc... bad density for me, i don't like that

I Download precompiled binaries (v5-win64standalone-r4). run list.bat and hve a error 0xc000007b.
Can you run v5-win64standalone-r2 on your system? If so, you could try deleting vcruntime140.dll in the package and installing Visual C++ 2015 Runtime yourself. this is my same issue, but i did the same with r2, there it was missing the rutime140.dll, i added that and it was fixed, but here it come already with it, so it must be something else ok it work just need to install c++2015 like you said, adding the library only does not work like in the r2 version i'm getting 560 sol with 6 x 1070, 93 each on average

When I was mining with a desktop of latest generation 6th to be precise , a core i3 processor I did a maximum of 9-10Sol/s. The processor consumes very low amount of watt and is only 51 watt still I don't know where to send my ZEC after mining it.
Going up a little bit, you are saying only 1 R9 390 gets approximately 150 Sol/s and it's intriguing.
If I build a mining rig with 4 GPU- R9 390 I get 600 Sol/s and that's it 0.04 Zec per hour or almost 1 zcash per day. My cost of energy (through some friends is cheaper than my country) and I think 4 R9 390 don't need more than 1200-1400 watt.
Sounds like is quite some profitable or isn't it ?
0.04 per hour?! try 1/10 that, minus electricity. https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/zecIt appears the guy above with 1 R9 390 was wrong. I did 600 H/s in the cryptocompare website and I see that daily is 0.075 zcash after removing power draw so it's about roughly 6 USD daily with 4 graphic cards R9 390. It appears it's not correct that you get 0.04 zec per hour or 1.5 hour with only 1 R9 390. Any way, for the time being, it is more profitable to mine the Etheruem than the ZCash. The difficulty is too high. not really, with amd it's better to mine zcash or zclassic, profit is a bit better with zcash while consuming less, we are talking about 0.022 for zcash/classic per day with a rig of 6 gpu against ethereum 0.017
