It's kind of a pity. If you want to be able to react as quickly as possible on a news a rumor to sell or buy your coins then you have to basically keep them on the exchange. It just takes to long most of the time to send them from your wallet to the exchange because you need a certain amount of confirmations. If you have them at the exchange though you have the risk of losing all your coins.. just look at the kucoin hack.

For me altcoins are not for daytrading because i don't have the time and energy to be up to date all the time. I buy the altcoins that i like and hold them at leats 1 year because of tax regulations in my country. Of course i know that there is a lot of pump und dump going on. Just look at all those uniswap listings.

Yeah i heard it now on many different channels that NFT's will be the next big thing after the Defi Hype. It's definitely worth to look into NFT's and what they are about. The combination of NFT's and yield farming that is explained in the linked article is really a usecase where both worlds would benefit from another.

Welcome to the crypto world OP. The coins that you mentioned USDT and Gemini are so called stable coins, which means they have a fixed price of 1$ (maybe sometimes 0,99 or 1,01). So if you want to invest money to make profit out of it you shouldn't buy this coins. They exist to store your funds without volatility. Of all the other coins BTC is probably the one who has the lowest volatility of all.

It's kinda cool that we can trace all the movements of the funds that were stolen by the hacker. The question is, can he still be traced when he tries to convert the ETH or USDT into FIAT so he can really use it to live from it the rest of his live. Kucoin is probably tracking every movement of "their" coins so they have a chance to get the hacker once he wants to cash out.

Yeah it's sad but bounty hunter technically have zero rights against the projects that they are doing their bounty work for. The argument is always "What do you want, you get free money anyway". But the truth is that most of the tokens you get from altcoin bounties will probably be worth 0 anyway. If you feel treated badly as a bounty hunter by a project like in the case that OP mentioned you can open a pots in the reputation section of this forum, so that at least everyone knows that a project is not acting ethically.

It's not telegram that is trash it's only a share of the people that are using it. I also hate it, when people are shilling projects all the time without even giving one fact why this project is the greatest ever. And then, when the price of a project is falling they are attacking the admins of the project and telling them to do something like they are in control of a free market.
The crypto space is full of scammers and cheaters. But from that telegram screenshot you can't really say if that guy really messaged an admin of that project or just some random guy or himself. You would need to see both names of the parcipitants of that chat to verify if that admin said the truth or not. In my opinion it definitely look like a blackmail attempt though.

If you mean trust in the sense of if those projects are trustable and no scams than i definitely trust both of them. If you mean which project i like more then i would say ETH. Binance is a good exchange, but they clearly try to take over the whole cryptocurrency space more and more which is dangerous. Just look at how they advertise for their own projects now on coinmarketcap now that they bought it.

It's always funny to see those old threads about projects that are now huge but of course still had many doubters back then. I just wish that i would have been in crypto back in those days already. Because i think nowadays it's way harder to do a 10x or even 100x than a few years ago. It's still possible but the chance of investing in a project that is a scam or a total fail are just huge nowadays with all those new projects appearing every single day.
If you really were thinking about investing a significant amount of money into this project than you should be happy that you didn't do it. So far they made like 2k, no one wants to invest in this project.
If you just tried to shill your project here via an pretty badly hidden shill post (which i am 99% sure that this is the case) then i have to say, that your method did obviously not work obviously. Nice try though.

I just saw this news and logged into to kucoin to see if my funds are still there, and they are. To get hacked is one of the worst things that can happen to an exchange, but i think that kucoin handled the situation pretty well, with compensating everyone that lost money. Also the price of kucoinshares hasn't dropped as much as i would have expected under this circumstances.

The uni airdrop is only one factor for the falling prices i think. Even the classic stock market here in europe dropped like 3-5% yesterday and cryptocurrency and regular markets are still connected. Seems like that whole corona situation will stay for a long time with all it's impacts, which means that markets will still be fragile in that period.
I just read about it that the airdrop is worth 600.000$ now. That was also the first time i heard about this project at all. Why can't i have luck for once and be part of such a crazy thing? But i like the attitude of this project with their satiric approach and it seems that the fundamentals are at least as good as those of most of the other projects out there. Congratulations to everyone who received the airdrop.

I think that social media channels are by far the most important marketing tools that especially crypto projects have nowadays. That's also the reason that bounties exist for sharing and creating posts on twitter and facebook. In my personal opinion telegram is even more important than facebook or twitter, you just have a way more direct contact in real time.

Bounty scam will never go away. As long as there is money to make, people will always try to make as much as possible even if it is by cheating. I am currently part of a signature campaign and it already happened that someone just copied my Bitcointalk profile name and link and applied again for the same signature bounty but with another ETH adress of course. I was lucky that i found it myself and reported it to the bounty manager before i was banned or something.

To be honest for me there are too many projects coming out every day to keep track of all of them. I am also no IT-guy so i can't look into the code of a project or such things. I am part of an investment pool group in telegram and whenever a project is discussed there or wanted for a pool i look into it and maybe participate in the pool. I look up the team members and just decide for myself if their project has a real use case or not.

If a bountymanager just accepts every bounty of every shitcoin that is offered to him he will lose his good reputation pretty soon and no one wants to join his bounty anymore. People in this forum are pretty vocal when they were in a bad bounty that didn't pay or wasn't manage well or never made it to a exchange and so on. There are some bounty managers here in this forum who are well known for their quality campaigns i am pretty sure they only accept really solid altcoin projects or bounty that pay in btc or stablecoin.

I would never invest in a coin which does not show their team members. To have me really convinced i need team members that have linkedin profiles that i can look up. On the other hand, if you have a anonymous coin that aims to have untraceable transactions, then why would you want your team to be known. Maybe you are developing a project that is kinda illegal in your country, so in that case it would be understandable.

I am no IT guy so i can't go through the code of a project to see if its good or not an i also don't have enough time and/or energy to spend hours every day trying to get the latest infos about the numerous new projects that emerge everyday. I am part of a investment pool group in telegram and whenever a new project is talked about there or wanted for a pool and i look into that project. If i like it and there is a pool offered i try to participate. After a certain amount of time, you know that specific users always have good projects that they bring up.
