Quoted and verified.

Note: 2013 account with posting gap from September 23, 2014 (pre-forum hack) to March 24, 2018. Seems to have switched interest from the Wall Observer to alt coins.
3362  Other / Meta / Re: Help me pls acc Banned . Why ? on: June 12, 2018, 10:49:20 AM
iam russian you could check my IP

I just decided to work on english bounty you could check my olds post its on english also

Could just be the shitposting then. Have a look at the forum rules.

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

3363  Other / Meta / Re: Help me pls acc Banned . Why ? on: June 12, 2018, 10:40:14 AM
It looks like it is probably a hacked or sold account. It was registered in 2013 and used to post in Russian then after a long period of activity it woke up and starting posting one-liner shitposts in English. Like your last post:

I can say that I am doing just the same, every bounty I participate has a different ETH wallet for different coins they will pay
3364  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned, please help on: June 12, 2018, 10:32:42 AM
You post enlightened me so much

I don't think it did or you wouldn't have asked this:

Is there still a chance for me to be unbanned?

My post explained that there is no chance.

and I will do better next time.

There won't be a next time either.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
~
25. If you get banned (temporary or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

The ban applies to you as a person, not just the account.
3365  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned, please help on: June 12, 2018, 09:47:49 AM
Thank you, this gives me hope to be unbanned.

I wouldn't get too much hope. The only circumstance a ban appeal is successful is if there was an error made by the moderator that banned you. The last one was someone that got banned for posting a phishing link that turned out not to be a phishing link. If you have been banned for spamming then there is no chance it will be reversed.
3366  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned, please help on: June 12, 2018, 09:16:02 AM
I think by creating and posting here he has not broken the rules as
The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.
And this poster created account and posted on meta about ban.

Is the correct answer.

@OP you say you didn't copy paste so I took a look at your posts. I think it might be persistently breaking rule 1 that caused your ban.

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

Every post looks like you just quoted another reply in a spam megathread, said "I agree...." and then added nothing new.

Quoted and Verified.
You may need to know the proper way to post quoted messages to avoid confusions, just follow TMG's post format above using

tag.
It will be useful for you in case of a verification is needed.

Using the code box certainly helps as the forum software can add certain hidden characters in some situations. I still can't get that message to verify in Electrum so there's something being added or missed when I copy paste it. It help everyone here to also keep the message simple, there is no need to put anything more than the account name and todays's date.

Unable to verify as it is unclear where the message ends. Please try and do a simple one-line message in a [ code] box like the example above your post.
3369  Economy / Gambling / Re: KINGDICE.COM - Bitcoin Dice & Invest in bankroll on: June 11, 2018, 05:13:22 PM
Perhaps you can try to send a pm to TheQuin as he is the community manager of freebitcoin which is owned by wetsuit who is also own KingDice. Wetsuit is not active anymore in this forum since the end of March but I'm sure TheQuin is able to contact wetsuit privately with other ways. Hope he (TheQuin) is able to help to solve your problem.

I can send him an email if I have the details in a PM. He's been away since the end of March but should be back at the end of this week so I think he'll have more time to check the forum.
3370  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in an actual scam on: June 11, 2018, 02:12:46 PM
I bet 50 times minimum amount to control scam or not... When i bet low and lost, then i clicked high and lost again. Then i bet low and failed again.. Hi-Low-hi-low-hi-low... 50 times repeatedly... Always lost...100 percent failure...

Do you want post some proof of that? It would beat the provably fair record by some distance. I'd love to see a screenshot of the bet history and the links to roll verification.
3371  Other / Meta / Re: Hacked account - Slark on: June 11, 2018, 12:09:56 PM
It's weird.  How do they get all those passwords?

Any account that hasn't changed its password since the 2015 hack is vulnerable as the database containing hashes of the passwords is available on the dark web. They can then be brute forced unless they were very strong. Other accounts are generally as a result of a couple of mirror sites of the forum that are used to phish login details. Google is a big fan of putting these up as search results ahead or instead of the real bitcointalk.org search results.
3372  Other / Meta / Re: Hacked account - Slark on: June 11, 2018, 10:55:52 AM
snip

The criteria for account recovery is to sign an established BTC address or PGP key: "Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile."
From: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0
No more, no less.

The OP of this thread contains a signed message from an address in an unedited 2015 post. That should be enough.

There are some groups in telegram, where you can buy such accounts. The seller of account told me, that he is going off from business and he's not need account any more. So I bought it. Of course I delete previous messages from account - because it's not my business. It's normal. So what I must do? Return account and lose my money? I wanted to use in signature campaigns- that's all. And of course I changed email to my new one-it's normal practice.
If i was I  a scammer or hacker-I might sold all merits for 10$ per one. Think about ut. But I didn''t do this. I bought this account in 7 of june. It's my mistake-that I didn't find this topic earlier.
Why i'm signed a BTC address? Because I'm in Panic now. I don't wanna lose my 2k$.
I just wanted to take part in Signature campaigns. That's all what I wanted. Now I'm a victim.

You bought stolen property. The person that sold it to you had no right to. It still belongs to the original owner and you have been scammed for 2k by a thief.
3373  Other / Meta / Re: Mod, please check new plagiarism: Reporting copy/pasting, please permban on: June 11, 2018, 09:56:50 AM
A case of rephrasing. nakamita Banned

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is there any reason not to just completely prohibit referral code? They are mostly spam and not really beneficial to the forum. And then it will be a clear line of execution.
Spammers and promoters of some types of advertising should be banned altogether.

Original:

What is considered referral code spam? One of those full on advertising posts with referral codes all over it like were posted when tradehill opened? What if it's a little more subtle? What about low content posts with the code in the signature?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is there any reason to not just fully ban referral codes? They're mostly just spam and don't really benefit the forum any. And then it'd be a clear enforceable line.

Just a thought.

Enough changes to make it impossible to find with Google but I remember seeing that post being copied many times before.
3374  Other / Meta / Re: Please Lift ban on: June 11, 2018, 09:03:59 AM
I just need some older person I could ask a few questions at some point when I'm confused. Could you please be the one?

If you have any questions that can't be answered with a 5 second Google then just post them on the relevant board. There are thousands of people here willing to help, not just me.

Here's an example of what not to do. There is a thread I posted in when it was a serious discussion that has now degenerated into a place where some Jr. Member just got paid to post this:

Everyone has their own opinions. And everyone should decide for themselves whether to believe in bitcoin or not.
3375  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BPIP problems on: June 11, 2018, 08:10:19 AM
Makes sense now that you say it's not working at the moment.

It looks to be back up and running again now.
3376  Other / Meta / Re: Please Lift ban on: June 11, 2018, 08:00:06 AM
I am a newbie, without any computer knowledge but my friends who know some other potentials of mine thought that I will do well here. But this issue of banned account and the hatred it attracts gives me a lot of concerns. Please can someone kindly explain the reason for such reaction towards an individual with a banned account?

The forum was and is still supposed to be a place for Bitcoin enthusiasts to meet and discuss relevant issues. It is currently overrun by spammers getting paid to promote shitcoins and scam ICO tokens. It makes it really difficult to hold a conversation when every thread keeps getting bumped with shitposts that are barely intelligible. So many of us are happy when one of these spammers gets banned. We are also welcoming to a Newbie that is here to learn and get involved in Bitcoin. The OP of this thread doesn't fall into that category.
3377  Economy / Speculation / Re: CTFC and 'manipulation' on: June 11, 2018, 07:42:34 AM
i honestly never understand how they can prove this kind of manipulation. we all know that it exists and  we have all seen it in different forms such as fake walls that are placed to create illusions of sell pressure or buy support. but they are real orders with real funds and there always is a plausible deniability to it, even if your history is filled with this kind of orders.
also i believe exchanges don't keep not-closed order history! so they may not even have a history of these walls that are never filled.

What makes it really difficult to enforce is the need to prove intent. Everyone is allowed to change their mind and pull an order. Even doing it frequently doesn't prove someone was actually never intended the order to get filled. If you watch the order books on the futures markets you'll see spoofing occur in real time all day long and the CTFC will never do anything about it.

The only one I can remember getting any punishment was just unlucky that he accidentally caused a flash crash and they needed a scapegoat.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financial-crime/11553433/British-trader-Nav-Sarao-charged-with-triggering-global-markets-flash-crash-in-2010.html

I think that's what is going on here. The CTFC is just making a statement and letting the crypto exchanges know who is boss.
3378  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 11, 2018, 06:24:29 AM
Suppose to be everything that I played and have any interest on, every single site that I have interest should be using GA. I never want to stay away from GA, got hacked before because of not using it. Because of the update and this problem always occur. May be I will try on other devices, will get it soon after I got this lottery winning, never hit anything before not even the last prize Grin

I meant try running GA on another device if you have got one. I use https://winauth.github.io/winauth/index.html on a PC.

There's not much that can be done to stop it but encouraging someone to break the rules probably isn't a good idea.
3380  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 10, 2018, 12:46:23 PM
he have to take care to use a new wallet address for the new account ?

Probably. I'm not 100% that it is compulsory but the default withdrawal address in the profile is one of the things we use to identify accounts when people get locked out or whatever. So it could make things more difficult later on if they use the same one. It's best to use an address you can sign a message from as well.
