3363  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION: 2014 CryptoVest Special First Edition Physical Litecoin on: May 30, 2014, 05:37:04 PM
First off where do you get they went bankrupt from the founder of CryptoVest clearly stated they stopped making Litecoins because of ideological differences with the Litecoin Devs and if you are that concerned about the private keys then just buy the coin withdraw the LTC and make a new paper wallet to put in the coin that will void the CoA but if you are that worried about it the extra security would be welcome oh and on a side note only about 25 mins left in the Auction

Owner of CryptoVest and clearly states he has no reserves, also found out he could not afford the costs in his sales thread - research his past posts.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=289668.msg5449688#msg5449688

Alright you are suggesting to cash out the LTC and voided the coin with the foil, but keep the coin and reload it, so you are telling someone to make their coin you are selling as a collectors item worthless?

A number of things.
Firstly, I don't think it's really right to try and hijack his auction. It's always up to the buyer to make his/her decision to bid on an item.
You are fully entitled to your view, but I think it's just a bit selfish to post on here.
Secondly, I'm certain that Will (CoinHoarder) would never do such a thing.
His information is public and he will never consider using any private keys. I bought some coins from him, and I'm pretty sure/trust him to have never kept a copy if them.
He does have it hard now with the way he cashed out of the BTC loan. As he has stated, he has been paying off the loan and therefore I think it's wrong to judge him like that.
He's a nice honest bloke who just hasn't had a string of luck. I really believe that he will pay off the loan and the bounty (he may have already) as he agreed. Yes, it may take a while, but at least he won't run off like others.
Good luck with the auction OP.
Really not trying to insult or be provocative, but please don't be so judgemental Smiley

3365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Trolling] Malaysian Muslims declare jihad on Cadbury over pork-laced chocolate on: May 28, 2014, 08:41:04 PM
Maybe this would be more understandable if western Christians were true to their religion.  It is a sin against God, according to the Bible, for Christians to eat shrimp for example. A sin on par with adultery or homosexuality. Now suppose you actually followed God's laws but some company was caught putting shrimp extract into your Easter candy.
For a believer this risks their holiness and standing with God. It is a serious matter for them.

So a simple solution is for them not to eat it... I don't understand the fuss  Huh
Cadbury aren't saying this is a halal certified product.
This product is aimed at the general public and isn't localised to any religious laws. Cadbury make plenty of other products that don't contain the shrimp. So why boycott the company if they could just eat the other chocolates?
3366  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Trolling] Malaysian Muslims declare jihad on Cadbury over pork-laced chocolate on: May 28, 2014, 07:20:10 PM
No one is forcing them to eat Cadbury's. If they don't like Cadbury, then don't consume it. As simple as that. I still remember their boycott of Coca-Cola, replacing it with the Mecca Cola. Any idea what happened to that?

Short lived. As will this one be.
Nobody is forcing them to eat/drink these products. They can boycott it for all I care. Just means more chocolate for me  Grin
3367  Economy / Auctions / Re: Private auction! Whipple games users on: May 28, 2014, 04:24:48 PM
not every bitcoin user in the world uses bitcointalk.org... i told everyone in the chat on our faucet if they want to bid on the auction to use this post to do so, sorry if it causes anyone any panic over something that is not even related to them in the slightest, the title even says PRIVATE AUCTION, so please dont make assumtions cause they are bidding on a non bitcointalk.org related site and the truth is most of them will probably never use bitcointalk.org again after this auction ends.

Fair enough. I'm not accusing anything but it just seemed weird. Your explanation has cleared that up
Smiley
Good luck with the auction!
3368  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] Beautiful Mint 1BTC 2011 Casascius Error Coin - Very Rare on: May 28, 2014, 03:10:24 PM
What other coins are you selling?
3369  Economy / Auctions / Re: Private auction! Whipple games users on: May 28, 2014, 03:08:42 PM
Isn't it a bit weird how every user who's bid on this auction is a complete newbie/someone with virtually no posts or activity.
May be wrong, but seems weird to me.
3370  Economy / Auctions / Re: Casascius .5 BTC coin on: May 28, 2014, 11:38:21 AM
Shame Sad
Let me know the next time you're running an auction as I don't check this sub forum often.
Thanks
3371  Economy / Goods / Re: Sell Apple iPhone 5S 4G LTE Unlocked Phone (SIM Free) on: May 28, 2014, 09:39:11 AM
No, it's not. It's because the phones don't exist.

Bingo! Reads like every other 'too good to be true' scam.

Instead, shop at CoinsForTech!!!

3374  Economy / Collectibles / Re: serpcoin DIY2 - Do It Yourself Physical Bitcoins [gold plated] [bulk pricing] on: May 27, 2014, 10:36:35 AM
Many thanks. I ended up installing Ubuntu 14.04 and it worked without a hitch. I will add some pics. These are nice looking coins for a very affordable price. The case and black ring is a nice touch.

Are you working on other denominations? These would be great for 1/10 btc coins.

Great, glad you got it working.  I'll need to look into older ubuntu installations to get those instructions more clear.

I'm in a constant state of considering lower denominations.  Hopefully at some point I'll have them.

I'd buy coins with 0.05 and 0.1 denominations Smiley
P.S Love the design Smiley
3375  Economy / Goods / Re: Sell Apple iPhone 5S 4G LTE Unlocked Phone (SIM Free) on: May 27, 2014, 10:34:44 AM
Why are you Vazaing?
Also, what is Vazaing?
And you don't have prices listed either...

One more thing. Never ever start any sales pitch with addressing why you're selling things so cheap!
If you do, it means you've got something to hide.

Until this member posts clear proof of his company with the products as well as his licence as an authorised dealer, for your own sake, stay well clear...

P.S Do you accept Escrow?
3376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One More Probably Stupid Duh Question on: May 26, 2014, 11:07:26 PM
LOL this is going a different direction I think.

I was mostly asking about the accumulation itself, like "pocket change" all adds up to a dollar or ten dollars. I realize each piece/coin has its own value in relation to the market value/price. It's looking at how it's handled in coinbase or one of those options, and I think the multiple wallet thing was part of the problem I was having trying to understand what was happening.

btc price: 500

wallet a - 250 btc
wallet b - 100 btc
wallet c - 100 btc
wallet d - 50 btc

I've got 500 "in" btc but do I now have an accumulated 1 btc? Like if I moved all that into a single wallet would coinbase now tell me I have 1 btc?

It was coming from the suggestion to just buy smaller amounts when you can't buy "whole" bitcoins, and if they will add up into a "whole" bitcoin or if you'd always just have smaller fragments of a whole no matter what.

Apologies if that confused everyone (the way it did me  Grin.)

Oh. Now that you've explained it, the answer is yes.
If you buy 0.5 BTC and leave it in a wallet and then someone sends 0.1 BTC to that wallet, that wallet balance would now be 0.6 BTC.
You could then send that 0.6 BTC to another wallet of tours containing 1 BTC. This would then give the wallet a new balance of 1.6 BTC.
The wallets combine all the BTC in them to give you a total BTC balance. Pretty much just like the way your bank account does.

Hope that answers your question Smiley

3378  Economy / Auctions / Re: Lealana 10 LTC Error Coin (MS-67) on: May 26, 2014, 02:34:35 PM
Great buy there. Didn't check this section so missed out Sad
3379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One More Probably Stupid Duh Question on: May 25, 2014, 10:02:09 PM
The quantity of the good stays the same. If you buy 5 BTC, you will have 5 BTC. The only thing that the market can change is the value. So 5 BTC could be worth $2500 today, and then rise to $3500 tomorrow. When it rises to $3500, you'll still only own 5 BTC. Each BTC will just be worth more individually Smiley
3380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.6 HARDFORK MANDATORY UPDATE on: May 25, 2014, 09:57:06 PM
oh shit its goin below 70  Shocked Shocked

Why don't you buy then if you think it is such a low price?

i bught 2mil on 80 dude and now its falling like rock
u think i should buy more!!!!! Huh Huh
i think it will hit 30 40 soon

Well if you think it'll hit 30 or 40 soon, buying more now is kind of stupid.
However, it's not going to hit 30 or 40, so no need to worry Smiley
