3361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Does BTC growing faster?? on: October 24, 2021, 11:37:18 AM
What makes people chooses bitcoin?
There is no one reason why people choose Bitcoin, each individual or organization that choose Bitcoin has their reason for doing so, some want a hedge, others want an alternative currency; but generally its decentralized form and the control and freedom of funds the network offers is a big advantage and a great reason why people are allured to the network, the government controls quite a lot of things in our lives, including our finances, so a network were users are their own bank is really attractive to quite a lot of people.
3362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 24, 2021, 11:09:32 AM
Liverpool in general have better form and their squad have better quality in balance between defense and attacking. I think I will agree with the odds from sportsbooks.
Of course, no one can argue which of the two teams is in better form as it's obviously Liverpool, but in big games like this with quite a lot of rivalry involved, then form may not decide the game in the end, tiny details, mistakes, one individual brilliance etc could decide todays game and even if United are currently struggling, they could come out this evening with all three points.

Having said that, if Manchester United are to give themselves any chance of being victorious in this game, then they must keep a close eye on Mo Salah, I know every player in Liverpool has their own unique quality, but imo, Salah is currently the best player in the world and he is indeed a game changer, I feel if United can keep Mo quiet, then they have a greater chance of being victorious.

No way, Newcastle will have to aim to the top - it's way easier to get a good manager to commit to the club than a good player when the team is bad. Fonseca has shown some good patches as a coach but I highly doubt that he's the kind of profile that Newcastle will be looking at.
I know Newcastle are now rich, but it still doesn't automatically make them a big club, I understand your point and I'm pretty sure Newcastle will hope they can start buying world class managers/players, but that would not happen immediately, they'll have to start from somewhere, just the same way other clubs which experienced take overs by multi-billionaires did (City for example), they will still buy and sack a couple of managers before they finally get it right, so Fonseca might actually be a good option for now, mind you that they do not have the quality of players that can attract a world class manager as of yet.
City again with 3 goals tonight...
The interesting part of City's impressive goal scoring form is that for the most part of last season and thus far this season, they have been lining up without an orthodox striker, that's amazing and I'd not be surprised if they do not go after any striker in the January transfer window.
3364  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation & Supply Chain Issues-How bad is it going to get?! on: October 23, 2021, 03:32:40 PM
First, how bad is inflation in your country..what % is it currently at?  (Here in the U.S. it's between 4-6% on average.  Many items have inflated much more such as seafood being around 20-30%)
It's pretty high/bad in my country at the moment, I do not know the official percentage, but from my personal daily experiences, inflation seems to be skyrocketing over here as things stands now, another thing is, my country was In a pretty bad state before the pandemic and quite as expected the pandemic has made things a whole lot worse. This is another thing to point out, I believe countries that were struggling perviously are in more mess and things will get bad and even worse for them quicker than countries that could boast of a stable economy before the pandemic.
Second, are you seeing supply chain issues in your country and how bad is it?
I'm yet to experience any issues with supply chain, the only thing that's happening is that the contents and quality of products produced are gradually reducing/declining, and I think it's as a result of a hike in the cost of production, well, if things continue in this way then sooner or later they'll outrightly stop the production of some items/products.
3365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking Profits on: October 23, 2021, 01:27:30 PM
I'm not really interested in a short term trade, it's not actually my thing.. it doesn't give substantial profits as far as I can tell. I don't mind waiting waiting years to reap the profit of my investment as long as they keep working assiduously at their backend. So longterm it is for me though.
The thing is, long term investments are actually very profitable when you're hodling a coin that's sustainable for the long period like Bitcoin, since you're pretty sure that Bitcoin isn't a pump and dump coin, thus no matter how long you hodl it and how many correction periods happen during your hodling span, you'll prolly make profits if you're patient enough to wait. But then again, if it's altcoins you are hodling, then tbh, you should only consider holding them for a short period, as I consider majority of them to be short term projects and if you try to stick with it for too long, you'll more often than not run into losses when it eventually dumps.
3366  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: October 23, 2021, 12:20:33 PM
Where would the ad revenue from Bitcointalk Youtube Channel go?
I am not familiar with how YouTube works for content creators, but doesn't a channel need a certain number of subscribers, views, and comments before it can earn commissions from YouTube or from the ads?
Of course there are certain criterias and protocols to be met in terms of subscribers, watch time, etc, before contents can be used to generate/make profits, having said that, I don't really know if Bitcointalk youtube channel would want to monetize it's content, but if it does, then @MNbag there is actually no need worrying about where the revenue accrued will be channeled to, cause i don't think there'll be any set-in-stone way of using the funds, it could be used to improve contents, as incentives, and generally as times goes on so will more ideas come up, and it can then be used to make some of such ideas possible.
3367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To the Moon, To the Moon, Eventually people got bored fo moon landing!!! on: October 22, 2021, 08:55:26 PM
I wonder out of that number how many tokens/coins you know are really real case use of blockchain and tokens futuristic capabilities? I think i heard of only one that is building now.
To be honest, there are only a few of them with an actual use case, the majority are either shitcoins, pump and dump or coins of zero use/value, the thing is, many of such coins still manage to garner interests from some investors because most of them are only looking for short term profits, and pump and dump coins are good for such purpose, but it comes with a high level of risks. Having said that, amongst the many coins in the network, Bitcoin and ethereum prolly looks like the only ones that can be said to be sustainable for the long term cause of the demand/use of them.
3368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 22, 2021, 12:03:25 AM
Pep is very keen on keeping his strategy and maintaining it throughout the season. But I personally feel like Sterling is a better player than Grealish.
Grealish hasn't been playing so well since he joined City from Aston Villa, he is too slow on the ball, he is not really dangerous to opposition defenders as he just holds on to the ball without really threatening, I actually had the impression that Grealish's buy was unnecessary, and it's slowly turning out to be; I believe Pep is just giving him the benefit of the doubt for the meantime and pushing him on to improve. Having said that, comparing him with Sterling at the moment, I think Jack Grealish is just slightly better, Sterling has been pretty bad in the last couple of months, he has had zero confidence when on the ball, and has lacked composure when facing the goalkeeper, etc, Pep gave him time to improve, but that wasn't forthcoming, for now Sterling has obviously lost his spot in the team and he must either leave or improve, it's up to him.
3369  Economy / Economics / Re: A tale of the two parasites on: October 21, 2021, 11:07:35 PM
There are very wealthy people that exist who are horrible people, but owning wealth does not make you inherently evil or parasitic, and on the same note, being poor does not mean you are lazy either.
I second that, and actually I believe it's not mandatory that a rich person touches the lives of others in society, don't get me wrong, morally it's right that if you're so wealthy you should impact the lives of others as it would cost you little or nothing, but not doing so doesn't make you a horrible person, at least that's how I see it, except such Individual is part of the government as I feel it's the duty of the government to try its possible best to make sure it's citizens lead a very good and comfortable life.

I also believe that being poor doesn't automatically translate into the ideology that the person is lazy, I absolutely agree with you on that, there are quite a lot of other factors that can play a part in a person being poor, and mind you that there are hard-working people that aren't rich, there's just no straightforward way to decide these sort of things.
3370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: October 21, 2021, 09:47:49 PM
But this win still doesn't prove that Manchester United started playing better. They still don't seem trustworthy for me and Solskjaer is still at a problematic position.
I second that, and that's something that must indeed be pointed out, though they managed to come back from two goals down and won the game 3-2, they ordinarily should not have been in that position in the first place, it's just so obvious that the team is struggling and many times they need the individual brilliance of a few of their players to rescue and bail them out.

Having said that, the win could be a morale booster, I'm pretty sure the players know they are absolutely not playing to the best of their abilities and they'll definitely want to improve, this win can help them to get going and prolly get a couple of wins in a row, though the bad news is that their next match is against a Liverpool team that is in spectacular form.
3371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 21, 2021, 05:53:13 PM
Yeah and this might be his last season if he doesnt get atleast the 2nd spot again. This season is completely different than last season especially with Ronaldo finally back on the team
Second spot in the league wouldn't save OGS from being fired, the only thing than can prolly save him is if his team wins a major trophy and that's it, despite their recent struggles, Manchester United is a very big club with a very rich history and they can't keep settling for second place when they have all kinds of quality they need in their team to be world-beaters, I'm very sure the United board must have made it clear to Solskjaer that it's either he wins a major trophy (either the EPL or UCL) or he leaves.
3372  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think narcos may actually be on the 10 richest? on: October 21, 2021, 04:45:49 PM
Those mainstream media stories about the richest people in the world don't tend to mention people who've attained their wealth through criminal activities, do they?
AFAIK they do not, they do not also include individuals who have made their wealth through inheritance, that's the reason why despite the fact we know there are many Billionaire princes and Kings from the Arab world, you hardly ever find their names on the list of richest people cause their wealth is to a large extent inherited.

Having said that, it's just basically the same thing with quite a lot of politicians especially in Africa who have embezzled a lot of money, but they are never included as part of the richest individuals in their respective countries/continent because they conceal such wealth as it's illegal/stolen. There are many rich people in the world, possibly even one or two that would compare with the richest people we know on paper, but we'll never get to know them because of the source/manner of the wealth.
3373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can novices quickly earn the first pot of gold in cryptocurrency and then re on: October 21, 2021, 04:13:06 PM
In fact, there is not so much money to buy BTC, and BTC must be held for a long time. Unlike this new type of cryptocurrency, you only need to hold it for 2-3 months and then withdraw. Guarantee the maximum benefit
You can buy Bitcoins worth the amount you have and Indeed any amount at all, you must not buy one Bitcoin or an amount too much, infact when investing you're supposed to invest with only what you can afford to lose, so you also have to check yourself on that. You can as well slowly increase your Bitcoins, you do not have to buy it all at once, you could find a strategy at buying at intervals that suits you, and before you know it, in a few years time, you'll have a good amount of it.

Having said that, Bitcoin is a long term investment, but it's much better than gambling with short term/pump and dump coins that if you fail to get it right, you lose all your funds, it's much better to gradually make profits than to make none at all.
3374  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: October 21, 2021, 01:44:30 PM
but the rap or song is about bitcointalk forum and why bitcointalk forum is different from the other forums out there.
You prolly have good intentions with your ideas, but do you think a "rap or song" is the best way to disseminate this information? I don't actually think so, there are many significant ways to put it out there that Bitcointalk is a unique forum with a large repertoire of knowledge, but a "rap or song" could sound or make it seem somewhat 'unserious' in this very context and people may actually not like it if you ask me.
3375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New best altcoin on: October 21, 2021, 12:49:09 PM
Can you tell me the use case of this particular token? I don't see any and I don't think any exists apart from pumping the bags of the early ancestors and probably leave the late poor soul investors who came in late, holding the bag. I have been there, been burned too. So I need more information about the project
The only information you need about this project is to stay away from it, obviously it doesn't have a use case and even OP knows that, but he's just basically trying to hype it to some people who would prolly not do their own research and go on to buy it. One should not buy this coin except you're interested in pump and dump coins cause this is totally one of them. Dicoin is absolutely not the new best altcoin and I'm pretty sure it would not be around in the market in a few months.
3376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin you hold for Next Bull Run on: October 21, 2021, 12:11:42 PM
Today 15 October, Bitcoin crossed 59000 usdt and we are waiting for Next Bull market, and all Buyer already fill his bag with Altcoin. I want to know that share your best Altcoin that you hold for Next Bull market.
The answer is to do your own research on different altcoins after which you can select the one that suits your investment ideology, plan and the funds you have at hand, having said that I don't think we're waiting for a bull run cause from all indications we're already in a bull run, and it has been that way for awhile; Bitcoin and Ethereum are doing very good, and if you're going to buy any coins other than them then you have to be careful, cause you'll prolly be buying a pump and dump coin, and such coins are only productive when you're a short term investor, thus if you're considering hodling the coins you intend to buy, do you research and do well to select coins that are sustainable for them long period.
3377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 20, 2021, 06:47:48 PM
it has now been announced that newcastle has decided to part ways with coach Steve Bruce by mutual agreement.
after the investor takeover, this is the first logical step to bring the magpies to another higher level in the pl.
I'm pretty sure Steve Bruce knew it was just a matter of time before the Newcastle owners do away with him, they are now a rich club and can afford any manager of their choice, and definitely they'll need a top manager to achieve whatever it is they want to achieve. Having said that, another thing that attracts good players is the manager of the team, for example, so many players have moved to clubs coached by Pep Guardiola cause they want to link up with him and be tutored by him. Newcastle would want a world class or at least a top manager that can help them get the players they'll start to aim for in the next transfer window, this is all part of the gradual overhaul that will take place at the club, very soon, it's going to be the turn of the players, many will leave on mutual consent, loaned, sold, etc, this it to make space for better players that can challenge for trophies
3378  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook Diem on the run for launch on: October 20, 2021, 03:57:21 AM
Facebook is a huge and giant company and its name is sufficient for the success of any project, but I expect that the main problem is in the centralization.
This is correct and prolly the reason why Mark Zuckerberg ever thought of launching a digital currency in the first place (libra), and yet after it's failure even when it hadn't kicked-off, he's planning to rebrand and launch it with a different name (Diem), that's bold imo, and the reason is cause they are aware of how big the company (facebook) is, we could prolly say quite a lot of us no longer use Facebook cause we have come to the awareness of the importance of privacy which facebook loves to encroach on; and we can say as well that their customers are declining, but notwithstanding millions of people are still active on facebook and what that means is that this coin can be hyped quite easily. Having said that, the coin is definitely going to be centralized which is obviously going to be an issue, but how many people are aware that centralization isn't actually good, especially when it comes to a digital currency, the thing is, people who are knowledgeable about crypto wouldn't use this coin, but such people are in the minority.
3379  Economy / Economics / Re: Really, why bitcoin has this value? on: October 20, 2021, 03:20:47 AM
I think that every second it gets more and more a victim of speculation and gets abandoned from its original idea.
To be honest, there is really no set in stone way of using Bitcoin, I know it should ordinarily be an alternative currency to Fiat, but then again the fact that it can be used for more things other than that should be an advantage rather than the opposite as many people presume, individuals and organizations have found ways to benefit from Bitcoin and they are harnessing that, institutions for example are purchasing Bitcoin in a bid to escape inflation, many individuals are buying and hodling, some others are trading with it, etc, as long as the demand/value is growing as a result of all these, and all its users are comfortably "their own bank", then there is absolutely no problem at all.
3380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: October 20, 2021, 02:52:42 AM
Liverpool with this form can cause Manchester City lot of trouble in defending their premier League title...
I second this, in my opinion Liverpool are the most in-form team in the EPL right now, if not in the world, and if they can keep up in this way then Manchester City will have to be worried, but having said that, City themselves aren't doing any badly, they have been winning games and staying very close to the top of the table, it's going to be a very tight premier league title this season, and I think the contenders are City, Liverpool and Chelsea, Manchester United I'm afraid do not look capable of winning it just yet, even if they do have a great squad, but it's not just clicking for them at the moment.
I think that even such epoch-making players as Ronaldo should not be involved in choosing the head coach of the team.
I think so too, choosing a manager should be entirely up to the clubs board and no player should be involved in making such decision, having said that, there is even no guarantee that if they sign Zidane he would be an immediate success in Manchester United, mind you that I'm of the believe that OGS should be fired, but it shouldn't be any of the players to decide who takes his place.
