Come to Kiev and see what people are fighting! In another you do not understand.
i understand that you are fighting against repressive sociopath assholes. my argument was not that you aren't. my argument was that there is no point in seeking to replace them with new rulers. power corrupts and so what ever new person you give power to will also become corrupted. if you want freedom than replacing existing rulers with new rulers will never have that effect. if you want freedom than you have to reject rulership in general, not rulership from one particular group of rulers. The system in Ukraine is basically Feudalism. Have you wondered how they survive on those extremely low wages that wouldn't even pay for food? The free market! Or, a giant cash economy where everyone avoids paying tax so that their oppressors don't get too much. Everyone pays everyone else with bribes. Since the Ukrainian government appears to have a military aiming guns at its own people, that means 2 things: 1) it's extremely undemocratic. 2) their government is acting like a private corporation with a private army. Libertarian paradise! libertarians propose a system of competing firms providing these services. as near as i can tell the citizens of Ukraine are not free to opt out of paying for the "protection" services provided by their government in favor of purchasing the services of a competing protection agency instead. So tax-avoidance and arming the opposition doesn't count as competition against "Janukovich Enterprises"? That"s a very interesting question. I'll have to think about it. There is certainly a parallel there, that i will grant. Either way the people do not have the right mentality for this presently violent "competition" to settle into a non violent competitive market. With the sort of mentality that people have now the present state of violent competition will inevitably either fail to settle into a system of non market competition or collapse into monopoly.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=430467 if his claims are true than there could be a lot of opportunity here. He accepts escrow but refuses to release the source before I release my escrow. Even though the code will be closed source, he promises to release a working client before i release my escrow. My concern is that maybe he will simply change a few values in nxt and add a new graphical fronted so that it looks like brand new software but is actually just a clone of nxt. what do you guys think? is there a way of telling whether or not he copied nxt without seeing the source? if he did copy NXT then he not only ported to c++ but he also added PoW component. Id be more concerned of him cloning CGB/ADT or some other Pos/PoW coin ah well the point remains. is there any way to tell if he did this? Ask him to release partial code, he should be comfortable with that if he's legit. when does the first round of investing end? im under the impression that the 22 is the last day but i just want to make sure.
also one of the claims that you make is that the code is brand new built from the ground up. so one of the stipulations for releasing the funds that i am holding in escrow must be that you prove that fact. any ideas how to handle this catch 22 since you say that you need the escrow funds released before release but that the code will be closed source until release?
yes the 22nd is the last day. Exact time will be announced later. We cannot prove anything regarding the source without partly releasing it I guess. Anyway we will not release any code before the launch. We have explained that we need the escrow funds at least one daybefore launch. It is not your task to check if any conditions are matched if you offer an escrow service for someone else. So if someone want to release the funds you would have to deliver it - that is my understanding of escrow services. If you do not like the idea that eXocoin will be closed source as of now and are not going to finish any escrow under this condition then please hand your holdings back to them. You will see that we have a completely new programm at least when you read the whitepaper or participate in the open beta. That must be proof enough.

Maybe I missed it in the OP, what would I get for a 1 BTC early bird investment vs 1 BTC in second stage?
I saw that but it doesn't really explain anything. sure it does. early birds have 15% of the total coin supply divvied to them in proportion to their contribution.

eXo_coin what do you say to people who are concerned that maybe you will release a client that looks like a brand new crypto but is actually just a new graphical front end applied to slightly modified code of an existing altcoin?
