3361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people not take dwolla? or is it just me? on: February 12, 2013, 01:33:03 AM
Payment options or status have everything to do with BTC. If you dont like something i have said you can take that up with me personally by PM me we can discus any problems that you may have with me or my post. You are correct in the fact that i am not the most technologically competent user on the web though my dad is an computer engineer and owns a software company, so i do have above average knowledge. I know in you world veiw only nerds and geeks are allowed to use bitcoin but if you dont mind the rest of use would like to do our parts to change the monetary system too. So if you have something worth while to add to my post then feel free to contribute if not keep it to yourself. Thanks
He does not mean that you're not a geek or anything. Most in this forum is not that technically savvy. He means that you have a problem of communicating and behaving, in such a sense that it hampers your way of bringing your ideas forward. In case you haven't noticed, there's currently an amount of people currently ignoring you already... Try not to post weirdly off tangent talks.

I always admire those that can paint, because I paint like a 3-year old...

How is Dwolla safer than PP? I thought PP, Dwolla, and Quickpay are all reversible??? I could do any of these three, though I prefer Paypal because they don't require me to keep the account stocked with cash (like Dwolla does) to instantly send cash. They front the amount and then take it back from my bank account. It's much easier that way. Dwolla could be an option, I'd just have to lock up funds in there and constantly wait for refills. :-/

If anyone is interested in Dwolla, though, I could do that. Just give me a heads up and I'll keep like $500 in there to start. Wish I would've thought about it before I transferred down my $1000 from MtGox yesterday to my bank account through them.
PayPal's reputation is far worse as it allows credit cards. Dwolla is linked to bank accounts, so the fraud rates is lower.

I must disagree.  You are looking at the shortened vs. the long one "15D232D0F89D6EF8" vs F89D6EF8
I've been using this key for almost two years without a problem, it just seems there was a signing error.  I re-ran it through gpg and found that it was invalid as well.  Odd.

Below is a proper one, I must have messed something up, it was ~3am for me Grin

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Pretty self explanatory.  I haven't bought bitcoins through MTgox for a year and now there is so verification system for Dwolla accounts?  It has yet to finish and I have USD sitting for who knows how long up there.  I'm rated on the OTC.

No problems, I was pretty confused by the key errors too originally. Just checking in as I've seen a couple of old otc accounts being falsely represented.

Stop replying with new threads.
John moved them as we were off-topic.  He made them in 3 different threads, for some reason.
I can't merge threads for some reason. I split the original posts but more OT ones keep coming in the original thread...
3369  Economy / Services / Re: Cheap Investigative Service on: February 10, 2013, 06:33:12 PM
Off topic posts have been moved here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142379.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142381.0

Please continue the debate there and leave this thread on its rails.

Sorry John. With all due respect. ( I can see that you are a great member). New users have no idea what the guidelines are. If it was my job to keep the forum organized in a certain way I would set up a page for new users that you would have to read and maybe answer questions on before you could post to the general forum. If you had mentioned to me personally that my post where not allowed i would have stopped and changed my posting behavior. A good tutorial would make a lot of difference. I understand that the forum has a lot of excess funds maybe a good use would be a guide with audio would be great.
Thanks
Christopher

The basic unspoken rules for a forum apply here too - no trolling, off topic posts, or threadjacking. Tutorials are frankly useless in this case as anyone flouting the basic rules are almost guaranteed to not read anything presented to them. A good example would be threads like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142352.0 .

OT posts moved to :https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142364.0

OP, you should probably build up some rep via safer trades like Dwolla before attempting a PayPal trade. As TheButterZone said,  there's numerous services out there who offer the same or better deal with a stronger reputation backing up their trades. A past thread I'm constantly reminded of while doing Paypal -> BTC trades: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=83679.0
3372  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'll Quickly Cash You Out w/ Paypal on: February 10, 2013, 05:31:40 PM
Lots of reasons to trust me. I buy and sell btc for PP. I own northoutboards on ebay we sell btc there and on facebook for PP. I need sellers! I also own bitcoin friends on facebook. I think we have the second largest btc page on FB. I need to build a larger rep here. Alex_fun would vouch for me and bcb maybe danieldaniel. I have over 2,300 transactions on ebay. I have done over 300 transactions for btc on FB and a couple on otc. I have also been verified by PP, mt.gox, dowlla, okpay, and bitcointalk investigator tldoctor. The picture to the side is me and I loaded a picture of my id to my site bitcoin friends under photos. Before you post about tos or charge backs I already know. Tos is a gray area, but i am not worried about it they let me sell on ebay and have talked to PP about 20 times about selling btc. As far as charge backs i dont get them. I have a system that works for verifying customers and hedging risk. It is not 100 percent but damn close.

Uh, why are you posting in the place of OP?

Not sure what you mean? Can I not post any where?
*takes a deep breath*

If you're posting as OP, feel free to continue. If you're trying to threadjack by offering your services here, that is bad form and should be deleted. (and that'll be your third post I've moderated in this couple of days now)

*sigh*

Geeze, the utter densenesss......

3374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin dies? on: February 10, 2013, 05:08:21 PM
Bitcoin does not only exist in USA. A ban by the US government would at best hamper Bitcoin, or at least do nothing.
3375  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to post in currency exchange forum on: February 10, 2013, 05:03:38 PM
If you find a place to purchase at 15€ , let me know too  Tongue

+1. I'll purchase any amounts less than 1000 BTC as long as the price at MT.Gox is 17+ euros. Might up the amount too.

Just FYI, SirChiko has debts both with Patrick and Kluge(which have been resold to eroxors). I have confirmation from eroxors that he has yet to repay him.

I have confirmation from eroxors, who purchased your debt with Kluge that you're still not repaying him back. (and probably Patrick too) I'll amend the list tomorrow to add your loan with him too.

He has only ceased posting after he was labeled a scammer. Also, you've a loan with Kluge outstanding too, right?
