3361  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: September 05, 2021, 07:58:17 AM
It's going up and down, but overall it's going up more than it goes down, so we have new records every now and then! It's very attractive for people who like to speculate and earn from this volatility... perfectly understandable!

I think the Bitcoin price will stop rising eventually when it conquers the world! We see that more and more people and all sorts of businesses are joining, take a look at where Bitcoin was 10 years ago and follow the line to now... it was nowhere to be found, now the Bitcoin market is almost at a trillion dollars! And do you think it will stop there? I think not, there are a lot more things that Bitcoin can do on a global stage!

Roobet.com, Sportsbook.io, Fortunejack and Stake.com, it's the soccer betting site that has the most visitors today, now back for you, choose a site that suits you, you can try one by one and you will find your taste for betting football.

Usually I choose a gambling site, which has a big win chance and the lowest withdrawal, of course with a good reputation.
You try some of the gambling sites that I mentioned, you will find the ones that are worth playing.

I choose a gambling site too, not the site with the best odds! Reputation is important, as the choice of coins to bet with and lower fees when withdrawing! The difference in odds is in decimals usually, so that shouldn't play a big role when choosing a good sportsbook!
Nice suggestions, I use Wolf and Betfury as well, they are relatively new comparing with some other casinos with sportsbooks, but they are solid as well, and both have a good potential to be even better in the future!
3363  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🔔Polygon & XRP release on: September 04, 2021, 08:34:59 PM
...
If you are going to keep doing this and add more coins/tokens then I would have to suggest that you should probably start with most known ones but also legit ones. XRP is a known centralized currency with a lot of trouble, they just had a problem with SEC very recently as well, while the 2020-2021 peak happened for most coins, they didn't even get close to their ATH prices at all, like ETH had 1.5k ATH price before this bull run and now that is 4k+ and bnb had like 40 bucks or something and now it saw 700+ dollars, all of that happened because people actually believe that these coins were true and good coins.

XRP on the other hand is way further down compared to ATH price of it because people saw how centralized it is and how there was a problem with SEC so it stood still for a long time. I would say pick ones that are much more wanted by people.
^ No, that is a wrong assumption for me.
XRP is a great coin to use in gambling because it has a speed transaction and the lowest transaction fee which is very suitable when there is a small transaction for the small-time gamblers who gamble using XRP. I prefer to use XRP than ETH as of now, with the terrible fee of ETH which is you can't even able to make a small transaction. But for the purpose of holding in a long time, I will not suggest this coin because as they said it is a centralized coin, but it is actually good. However, it is good news to the Betfury team, they had now extended their coin option.

I agree with DoublerHunter, a wrong assumption for me too, even I don't have some special love for XRP! I gambled with XRP here and there because of the low fees... and for some promotions...

The point is that Betfury is a casino, they should accept as many coins as they can, whether we like them or not, there's a community behind every coin and people who support it, so why not give them a nice place where they can gamble with their favorite coins?! We all should be free to choose the coin for playing! Respect other people and their choices! It's what Betfury is doing, respecting crypto and all coins... it's nice!
3364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: September 04, 2021, 11:15:05 AM
The main reason why the gas fee in ethereum blockchain is so high is because of many people are using the blockchain and transacting on it that makes traffic in the network.

This is a nonsense which was disproven many times, most of the transactions are almost empty, many of them filled only to 4%. Please just read first page of this discusion thread.

Actually I am hating ETH. The fees killing everything. There is no usecase for normal ppl, because of this fees. It is not feasable to even purchase NFT for 50USD or like that when you will pay 100USD in fees. WTF? 100USD is few months salary in some parts of the World!
Or you can send parcel to the other side of the planet via UPS for that price.

ETH will be done if Vitalik will continue sleeping. Rise of the SOL / ADA will kill it ETH in near future...

I agree with you Permonik, for the reasons you stated I abandoned ETH... I have some passive income in ETH, it's the only Ethereum I will use to sell one day... but to use it daily like I used to never again! The same is for all tokens based on the Ethereum platform! And I am not seeing they are doing anything about it, many people don't complain... so it's better for me to quit and focus on some other coins than on f. Ethereum and high fees!

By the way, ADA is making good progress in the last few months, I am thinking to buy more, now or waiting for some drop I am not sure, I will see about that!
3365  Economy / Economics / Re: New York Mayoral Candidates Turn to Crypto for Votes on: September 04, 2021, 08:42:18 AM
I saw the news the other day, nice positive news, but this headline made to think about it more. So definitely I like the headline "turn to crypto for votes" and probably that's totally true! After all, the New York crypto scene must be big, I tried to search for some numbers but I couldn't find anything specific for New York only! Anyway, I assume there are many people in the New York state who are actively using crypto!
Well, if this candidate wins it will be another win for Bitcoin and crypto! Win by the win and we will reach the top, it's how you become the number one!

There are many promotions like the wheel, races, special slots like Boof of Chips and Chaos Crew contests. In all honesty, if I win a car though I will rather exchange it for a cash prize because as cool as getting a car sounds, I would much more prefer cash and spend it myself.

The wheel has some good prizes but the probability is very low for the decent ones. I am waiting to see if anyone hits the jackpot prize of a car anytime soon. All these wagers also help because of the dividend system and you win along with the casino Smiley.

And hey, happy 1st anniversary of the many more to come.

You are right, there are many good promotions at the moment! But competition is hard, so winning some requires playing and some luck! In the meantime, we are mining chips from all the playing and it's like a bonus!

I have 5 tickets, didn't try them, I will collect a few more before I spin them all! If I win a car by some miracle I will not take it definitely, driving some of these cars can be pretty expensive! Smiley
3367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: September 03, 2021, 02:51:29 PM
I guess it's a big loss to the gambling casinos or gambling platform does not promote by known personalities but again if this is a law we cannot against with it but still another loss to the casino to promote more because we know the power of the top persons they can encourage a lot of people to join them and enjoy gambling.
This is indeed a big loss but for sure, those companies have the other way to promote their casinos and they have to or else they'll lose more. Top celebrities always lure a good amount of people, if your into gambling and you endorse it for sure some of your followers will do the same thing.

Well, as what you've said, we have to accept this new law and follow it to avoid any inconvenience especially if the government runs after you, better to avoid this.

As OP stated, some teams will suffer big time as well, their sponsors are casinos, now these teams need to search for new sponsors... I guess for big clubs it's easy to find sponsors, companies compete to take that place, but with some less known teams it's trickier to find new sponsors!

Spain is a serious country, teams and casinos will have to adapt or they will be fined for not following the regulations! In my opinion this too much, the same thing I think about many other rules... but who are we to question that, so it's follow the rules or suffer consequences for all!
3368  Economy / Economics / Re: How to protect from inflation? on: September 03, 2021, 01:21:50 PM
Real Estate is for me the best. No need for further explanation but most of the richest man worldwide owned a piece of Land.
Gold, Bitcoin and NASDAQ are the 2nd best protectors of inflation.

In general, investing into different assets can protect you from inflation only if you know what you are doing because investing has risk. You might want to invest but the risk of you losing on your investment is very high then it will be useless. You have protected yourself from inflation by investing but you invested on a high risk investment so you will lose more than you will lose in inflation.

Some say Bitcoin isn't a hedge. Yes and No. Yes for people who know when to invest and when to be patient when they need to. No for those impatient people, people who are panicking so easily when they see Bitcoin going down by double percentage in a day and for those who are just investing without proper knowledge.

People here often say how "real estate investing is the best"! But what is the entry fee? How much do you need to start it, how long before you start collecting profit, how long before making expansion!? Rich people can afford to invest a lot, and they have an advantage here...
In my opinion, investing in crypto is a far better option for the majority of the population, many people dream to have a house or apartment for themselves and they can afford that, how can they afford to run a real estate business? So crypto comes as something easy and simple to do, with the money you have... and plus you support a decentralized economy that can make big changes in the world!
3369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: September 03, 2021, 06:51:12 AM
Well, this metaverse gambling is not for me... basically, it's decentraland game, and you move there like in any game, I guess you can talk with other people, you can have fun exploring around... but not for me! After a few minutes, I just closed the window and I doubt I will try it again... ah one more annoying thing, I went Fortmatic way to register and I needed more time to set it up than I spend in the game!
I will stick with "normal online gambling", or call it as you like... with easy access and focus on the gambling game!

I have added demo games, implemented geo-targeting (which still needs to be configured), revised and optimized all static content and so much more.

I will try and update this thread more frequently moving forward but I cannot make promises. Wink

3371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 02, 2021, 11:52:54 AM
Damned frogmen left me without a win yesterday! Couldn't beat Bosnia with a set of star players! All the super players were on the pitch and could hardly get back on track! Also got a red card! That's a shame!
It's not the first time I've lost thanks to the French national team! Cheesy

The same thing happened with my parlay yesterday... and I thought they are one of the safest bets, what a joke!

there is a really big difference between Andorra, San Marino on one side, and Georgia and Kosovo on the other side
Georgia and Kosovo are much better teams
will all said, I would back Andorra as well, it is their home pitch after all

would put Belgium over3.5, and thinking about an upset in Budapest, Hungary played really good on Euro, but had no luck to pass through group stage, and have solid motives to win tonight

I have a bet on Georgia to win! Just for fun! I also think we can see a surprise in Hungary, I have both teams to score in this game... Interesting for Belgium, they can destroy Estonia, so this sounds like a good bet, I will think about it definitely!

📣 We have created a separate thread for discussing the BFG token
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5357818.new#new

Live a comment about your experience! Read more about BFG here https://betfury.io/news/bfg-token-guide

Nice move! As I pointed once in the past, this topic is losing a gambling point and turning to token speculation thread! So this is the best thing you could do, to separate this two... I took a peek and it's definitely a nice ANN thread!

I like Yggdrasil slots, Cirque Du Prix Tournament is interesting, a nice choice of Yggdrasil slots is chosen for this promo! Some of my favorite ones!
3373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Affiliates (Paid Streamers) - Fair or Not to other non-paid gamblers? on: September 02, 2021, 06:36:33 AM
When you watch a Streamer like "Trainwreckstv" .... and you see him betting $1000 per bet, you distance yourself from betting like that. Nobody in his right mind will drop $1000 per bet on a Slot.... if it was their own money.

I think it's not with the amount that viewers are following but the actions of that streamer regardless of the amount that a viewer is placed.

No one will really follow a $1,000 per bet because that is ridiculous on our part even how loyal and die-hard followers of that streamer are. Regardless of where the funds came from, viewers have to use their common sense that streamers are just trying to make their viewers fall on the bait. That's the role of the streamers, to attract their viewers to do the same.

I agree that viewers should use their common sense! In the end, it's all on us to understand what we are watching and to not fall on everything we see... all that is a part of the marketing strategies, some of them are not ethical and moral, and we all know how far can all that goes just for more viewers!
I think viewers are the crazy ones here, I will use the Big Brother example (in all forms), it's something crazy, but I don't blame the people there and people who created it... they have many viewers, and when there's a demand someone will provide! So clearly these streamers are followed, they just provide what some people want to see... they found a way to earn and they are doing that!
3374  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador retirees protest against Bitcoin as legal tender on: September 01, 2021, 08:05:16 PM
I am not entirely sure if I am understanding this correctly or not, maybe it is just me and I would like it if someone explains to me what the problem is all about. I personally thought that this was given as an option to people who live there, if it is an option then why are they going against it? If you are a retired person who doesn't want anything to do with bitcoin then all you have to do is ignore it? I mean if it is just an option then do not pick that option. Don't they have their own currency as well?

Also do not get me started on volatility, it usually goes up and it made everyone a lot of money if they stand here and not sell their coins whereas the fiat currency in every nation dropped in value by a large margin, so it is a good thing even for a retired person, they would have been richer. If it is just an option then why are they not ignoring it, could someone explain that to me please?

I would say it's a result of propaganda! Old people believe that Bitcoin is used for illegal activities, and now probably these old people think that allowing Bitcoin to be a legal tender will draw people from criminal circles! So now these old people are just protesting against new regulations because they don't see any benefits for them directly! They don't understand crypto, they want something in their wallets! And can we blame them?! It's something new that they don't understand, maybe they feel like left behind again, and they are protesting... as the last chance to change something for them!
3375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to make money or for FUN? on: September 01, 2021, 11:55:19 AM
As long as you gamble with "the money you can afford to lose" it's fun and entertainment that can be profitable from time to time when you score some nice wins! When you doing it like that there's no risk for your health, your social life...
At the moment when you start risking more than you can afford to lose, problems will start coming your way! All kinds of problems! Because you will start taking and putting all in gambling, so everything and everyone around you will start to suffer!

I gamble for fun, but I can't (nobody can't) deny the nice feelings from nice wins, and desire to win even more! We people love to win, and we know that winning in any gambling game can be profitable!
3376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card bans introduced in Ireland. on: September 01, 2021, 06:06:10 AM
You can limit yourself without a credit card ban! I see this as the last measure, but even that will not have effects if someone wishes to gamble!
I don't understand why this is needed, people who want to do something will find a way to do it, more banned options will lead people to search for new options, mostly on the dark side, where chances for them to be scammed are going up!
It's better to educate people, to open workshops where people can learn about negative sides of gambling, a place where people can learn to control themselves... that can make their life better overall, just banning credit cards is almost like nothing... hiding under the table while atomic bomb is going your way! Do you really think that table can save you?
3377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daytrading vs Holding on: August 31, 2021, 08:16:54 PM
We have to choose our journey, day trading and holding are quite different though we have the same goal to make money. For some who are full time in trading, they have a good chance to be profitable in day trading because they can spend time to research and gain more experience, for some investors who are busy with their jobs and businesses outside crypto, they don't need to choose day trading, holding along is enough as long as they fully understand crypto and the potential of the coin they are investing.
Without a doubt both are different and require different strategies however it is obvious that if we look at the rate of success of both ways to try to earn money from the markets then we are going to see that investors are on average successful in greater numbers than day traders and this is because it is easier, day trading is by far the most difficult way to produce profits in the markets but since it has the potential to also be the most profitable then it is not a surprise why so many people want to become one.

The fact is "there's money in both"! People who held the right coins are enjoying profits, daily trades who have the third sense for the right timing are enjoying profits!

Why separate trading from holding? Serious traders always have something on a side (holding), and depending on the pair you either stack dollars or sat's (let's use BTC/USDT pair for example), so if you chose the right pair and you stack the right one you will make a profit! Stacking is necessary for this process because many times the price movement will surprise and we need to have a backup plan... and that backup plan requires some funds, one way or another!
3378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPN into a betting deal worth 3 billion dollars $$$ on: August 31, 2021, 06:42:33 PM
ESPN has reportedly been losing subscribers and revenue. They need a to secure new sources of income if they're to stay relevant. It would seem they've chosen to tap the gambling industry as the logical source.
...

In the end, it's all about the money and how to make more money! I think you hit the point of this, ESPN will do something in order to continue to exist and to make a profit, or they will be left behind! They decided to expand their business on gambling, and probably they made the right choice here... time will tell that of course, but they have a good ground to become one of the leading sports bookies, with many live streams in their selection!
I guess this works for all businesses, either adapt and make progress or vanish from the scene!
3379  Economy / Economics / Re: The lending problem on: August 31, 2021, 05:09:41 PM

Bitcoins monetary policy is a threat to powerful central banks. This has gradually been generalized to be seen as "crypto is a threat to banks". Its more like a competitor.

It's a competitor, but crypto to grow needs to take from fiat space! And crypto is taking more and more space! In one moment banks and institutions will try to stop that (and I can bet they are doing that already), but I doubt they can do much!

Simply, traditional monetary systems are corrupted and nobody can fix that! Most of the things that happen in this system are secret, we don't even know what happens... So we come to one of the things I like about crypto, and that is transparency, open ledger... that can help all of us, that can make many things less vulnerable on corruption!

True power comes from the people, masses! In the end, the group of people that is bigger and stronger will win... I hope that people will recognize the crypto as something better, and if that happens bank institutions will fail in one moment!
3380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: August 31, 2021, 08:14:23 AM
Hmm, that will not be easy as we see many people trying to use gambling to make money, although they know it is too risky to use gambling that way. Some gamblers who do not think much about making money will only play gambling for fun and not seriously play.

But KYC is not necessarily needed in gambling, especially for online gambling. Fortunately, some crypto gambling sites do not require verification KYC for gamblers to avoid sending their documents to the casino.
But it is though, especially if required by the government where the casino is registered in. Afaik, even online casinos have countries where they are registered in, and those registrations require them to ask for KYC once a certain amount was breached by the player. It's nothing new really, and yes, there are casinos that don't require KYC, but hey, that might just be the countries not really asking for one. It's more on protection against underaged people really, and also preventing citizens from countries where gambling is banned from playing in their country.

It's because you can launder money in casinos too... you can use them as mixers! Where's money involved there are regulations...

Reality is harsh here... if you wish to play good poker with a lot of actions with many games you have to play fiat poker, still there's no good crypto poker place with many players!

And one more reality, we had Bitcoin poker games... from all the people who like to talk about poker we had just 10-20 active players, in the beginning, later even that fall apart! That's saying a lot about how many crypto-oriented people are interested in really playing poker!
