3361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin investment on: November 12, 2021, 02:12:09 PM
I have some capital and I will like to know the right token to investment in. Am new to NFTs and will love to get your opinion on which NFT to buy for a short term base.

In the case of investing in new coins, your profit will directly depend on the stage at which you purchase coins. And if you are lucky with the choice of such a coin, which is very difficult to do without the appropriate experience, then you can theoretically increase your investment several dozen times.
That really is hard knowing that most/majority of the altcoins are worthless. But if we mistakenly choose them, to make a good profit is impossible, yet to lose our money instantly after buying is really possible. With have the market experience and enough research is always a help to make things right and to achieve our goal. But of course, we have to think that it never comes quickly, that it takes time, and that is why we need to extend our patience or else, we only just fail and wasted.
3362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 12, 2021, 01:21:18 PM
I guess most of them played in the NBA but does not have a good career in the NBA. Justin Brownlee AFAIK did not play in the NBA but as we saw in the past conferences, he is still very competitive with the imports. What worries me now is that with some of the imports that are bigger than Brownlee, how would the Ginebra be able to defend the paint when they don't have a tall Center.
Physicality and Ginebra still has Aguilar and CStan which is I think still a good defender in the paint though I'm not pretty sure if they can defend and stop those imports especially the big ones knowing how big and strong some are. I'm thinking that Brownlee will let the local players of Ginebra defend the paint and he will just score and score like what he is doing back in the years.

I guess I just missed Slaughter, you know, they struggled when they traded him and the Northport who receives him gets better, so maybe the Ginebra this new conference will not be the same team. Yes, Brownlee will score but we also have the opposing team who has an import that could score, so I can't be too confident now to see the same Ginebra team that won championships in the past.
When we first saw the trade, we taught that Ginebra is the winner here because of how CStan played in NorthPort and in SMB as well compare to how Slaughter played in Ginebra where he is just a 2nd unit there.

When the Filipino Cup started, we saw the huge improvements of Slaughter when he is in NorthPort. He is more agile now, stronger and a better big than he is when he is in Ginebra. Overall, he improved when he got his training in other country. I also missed Slaughter but he improved when he got traded and that is a good thing for NorthPort. Lets see how Ginebra will adjust on their inside defense again now that they got CStan instead of Slaughter and its Governor's Cup.

If only they know how the team would work before the trade then they will not gonna make a mistake. Just like the Lakers when they thought they'll get better with Westbrook but the reality is they are not, their ranking is not what fans are expecting them to be. C Stan has been in different teams, he played with Northport, it doesn't work out as well, so most probably he is the problem.
3363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 12, 2021, 05:57:31 AM
Ok since the fight is very near, I try to look at how much is the PPV ticket:

Quote
Crawford vs. Porter info

Date: Nov. 20
Location: Mandalay Bay  -- Las Vegas
Start time: 9 p.m. ET | Price: $69.99
How to watch: ESPN+ PPV

So it's pegged at $69.99, I think it's $10 cheap as compare to Joshua vs Wilder or Canelo vs Plant fight.

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/terence-crawford-vs-shawn-porter-fight-card-odds-date-ppv-rumors-complete-guide/

And so this is reasonable price, and for sure many are going to buy this one just to watch it at their comfort or with some of their friends having a good time.

The lower the PPV price the more people can afford to buy, hopefully, they'll be able to sell a good number of PPV so they'll be profitable in this fight. Porter vs Crawford is such a great fight, it will never be boring so it's good if we book a subscription and watch it together with our friends and family.

As to betting, that is always depending on what we think and on how this find will end up, of course with the fighter of your choice.
3364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 12, 2021, 05:18:51 AM
Tobias Harris is back and he is smoking hot with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists already at third quarter of a game against the Raptors.
76ers will just need to wait for Embiid while he is still at health and safety protocol  before they could be at full blast once again.
For now, Drummond should hold the defense below the rim and it appears like he can but not that better when Embiid was down there who is a threat on both end of the floor.

It's another close game we have right now. Toronto goes as high as 10 point lead in the 4th quarter, but the Sixers come back and cut it to 3 points.

And then Toronto keeps the lead, but Harris hits a 3 now, to cut the lead to 5. I don't have a bet on this game, but I like the chances of Toronto in the beginning.

Anyhow, 3 minutes to go, 100-107 Toronto leading.

And Toronto wins the game.

Without Embiid, it's good to bet against them, and VanVleet leads the team again. I'm seeing a good team now, they don't have a lot of all-stars in a team but they are having great chemistry, Gary Trent Jr. has found his home, he is good with the Blazers but he is better with the Raptors being a starter.

By the way, this win is without Paskal Siakam, that's just awesome.
3365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency trading is safe than forex trading on: November 11, 2021, 11:44:05 PM
What is the name of my style, is it fundamental or analization.

BOTH...you have chosen crypto trading for you think that it was safe but apparently not 100% (as it still depends on you). And you choose crypto trading over forex because you think it is comfortable and you can maximize your knowledge and skill. of course, we choose the place where we think is the right place and have a bigger opportunity.

Forex and Crypto can be different in name but in strategies, they can be the same. We can never assess each other if we don't have experience but as I've said, choose the platform that you feel very comfortable with, not just because people are recommending this.
3366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 11, 2021, 11:10:15 PM
Its expected that everything would really be having that script.  Cheesy
Only a few expect that it's gonna be a scripted fight, but let me ask, what do you think would be the content on the script? I mean who will win in this fight and how the win would look like? I guess that's something we have to know so it's easier for us bettors to choose what kind of bet we will put in.
Not a few but many. Every time there's a match like this, an exhibition. Many are already thinking about the staged fight and there's someone who's going to win unexpectedly.
There could be a lucky punch thrown to the opponent who's about to win. And that's usually what many are thinking about with these exhibition matches, it's Mike Tyson, one of the GOATS in the entire boxing industry and we'll see if he's up to those 'scripts'.
If there's a script for them to follow then it better be based on the expectation of the many. So probably the last fight of Logan Paul is based on the script too, and I don't think it was entertaining and has satisfied the fans. I read a lot of comments that the fight was boring but these two (Mayweather and Logan) are really good at hyping a fight which would make people buy it.
3367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 11, 2021, 10:27:49 PM
...That would also help to see how the team would perform without him
This is exactly what I had in mind upon reading the status of Butler. It's a good time for the coach to test his rotations as early as possible since they are still in a good spot in the rankings.

Butler could be sitting on the sideline and it will be tougher for Herro now as the Clippers can throw a good defender on him. Paul George and Jackson, two are very consistent now, plus Batum being a defensive specialist, it could be a problem for the Heat to score. However, I think Bam would be able to dominate inside as he is quicker than the Clippers Centers.
3368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on blockchain is the future on: November 11, 2021, 10:00:14 PM
True. I do agree.

But what makes you think that projects like Axie Infinity will be the ones that survive in the long run?

Everyone can see that blockchain tech and gaming on the blockchain is taking off, but I don't think that anyone can predict with great certainty exactly which projects are going to be the ones that benefit in the long run from the bull market. It could be Axie, it could be something like Enjincoin, who knows.
If we believe this saying "Nothing lasts forever", that is very certain even Axie Infinity won't stay known and it last forever. Might this platform stay longer but considering the tough competition and so many gaming platforms are now adopting blockchain technology that could really have a huge impact.

That is why we should not have to be wise in investing them, especially for Axie. It has in its hype status and can be done anytime, I'm just really afraid of what will happen to the late comers if it suddenly just fall? We know the risk situation in crypto, even we can say that this platform is successful but as it said, nothing lasts forever, it is much better to anticipate rather than have regrets.
3369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: November 11, 2021, 03:08:49 PM
Losing money in crypto especially when you're just beginning is normal. What is important is you'll take your mistake as a lesson because, to be honest, everything could be learned in trading but it will take a long time. You should know how to deal with every market situation and take advantage of it. Setting a target goal and reaching it could also be a good move.
Consider those bad days as a tool to make things good somewhat in the future. Those people who could understand how was possible, are those people who could easily make change to their approach on the market.

Losing really hurts us but that we need to face and accept it since we are in the field where it was too risky and losing can't be avoided. Trading isn't all about looking for a strategy that we don't want to lose because whether we like it or not, losing is a part of our trading journey. Many have come and try but it can't deny that they have been experiecing losses before they'ed learn.
3370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Does BTC growing faster?? on: November 10, 2021, 11:23:13 PM
Btc grow faster because it's Bitcoin 😄. Bitcoin is first digital cryptocurrency others cryptocurrency are imitation of Bitcoin. It is growing faster because it has more value than other cryptocurrencies. It is growing faster because it rules over others.

yes i agree with you, for that reason bitcoin is currently the king of all altcoins. there will be no altcoin that can match bitcoin, when the price of bitcoin goes up most of the altcoin prices also go up and vice versa. When you hear the word crypto most of someone's mind immediately turns to bitcoin because bitcoin is indeed the most popular cryptocurrency.
What do you mean by King of Altcoins? Sorry but it was not Bitcoin, I think you are referring to ETH.

But anyways, it was found reasonable of seeing Bitcoin become on the top among cryptocurrencies. The higher demand and its usefulness, it drives Bitcoin to become more valuable than any other crypto. From $0, $10k, $69k, and it continues to grow, that is something remarkable to tell. This is it means that many had to appreciate Bitcoin and they realize that this was a great investment opportunity. In fact, even rich people are getting involved with this to prove that they also foresee how it become a valuable asset in the future.
3371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Missed Out of a 10 Year Bitcoin Investment Plan on: November 10, 2021, 01:03:59 PM
Until now, it still haunts me that I didn’t know BTC several years ago. I only knew BTC sometime in the Q1 of 2014, and I think the price was like somewhere between $500 to $600. I was an unstable low income earner back then averaging only $200 to $300 a month, in which I can’t afford to buy 1 BTC (and had no idea that I could buy fractions of it known as satoshis). I simply created a Bitcointalk forum account, Blockchain and Coins.PH wallet, and that’s it. I fully ignored it until I came back in the mid-2017 and the rest is history.

I think we all are wishing that we know 5 years, 10 years ago, or at the moment that Bitcoin become available in the market. But too unfortunate and I think we have to accept that not all the time we're in perfect timing, not all the time that the opportunity is really for us. because if that is only possible, I think we are millionaires, a billionaire, or even more than that.

We miss those days and so the cheap prices but at least, we don't lose everything as we still have the chance to take the opportunity. Might be late, but never been said we are too late.
3372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more long term bear market on: November 10, 2021, 12:11:50 PM
If bear market is going to happen in 2022 it won't last long like the past because this adoption of a thing is 10x more stronger than the past, if you think that all crypto coins are going to lose 90% of their value again you are dreaming, oh unless Covid 2.0 happens
Well, we don't know and can't be sure that. It happens that we are optimistic and very hopefull for the coming year/s because of what it showed this year that it shocks us. But if we are in the bearish this year, I'm in no doubt that we are also thinking negative.

But I think, you are right. Correction will come but can't be that long as people are also in a way of getting strong and not in panic unlike what we see in the past during 2018 bear season. This growing adoption makes this recovery so fast, it can't be an instant but not seeing it takes year like it happens before.
3373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news through Mastercard. on: November 09, 2021, 10:31:27 PM
Bitcoin is already enough for me, at a start so bitcoin will gain adoption and we know how it would impact the market. I think next year we might see more good news regarding this platform and with that, I'm expecting the market will continue to be bullish with more positive news to come not only from MasterCard but with other financial services as well.

There is a lot of interesting news that supports the market to be bullish and all companies should act like Mastercard and Visa, as private companies they should be realistic.  Bitcoin and other crypto is a promising business, no one is harmed by this business except the government as a regulator who idolizes fiat.  I'm sure when market to the moon, others will realize how promising crypto is to develop.
I can say that this will also push big companies and other countries to create their own cryptocurrency exclusive for themselves. Like China that made their own Digital Yuan.

Mastercard, Visa, and many are coming to join the party. This literally to see that adoption is growing and this could be somewhat unstoppable coz we know that it gives huge benefits to us which is too far to compare to fiat money. I believe this would succeed and give more convenience to all MasterCards users.
3374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 09, 2021, 09:49:35 PM
Yeah, the new rule has affected Harden and so is Trae Young. It took away their ability to go to free throw and score points.
That's why the Hawks are struggling now, after an impressive playoff run last season, their start this season is not really good. Hawks are not even in the top 8 anymore, with a record of 4 -wins and 7 losses, which brought their ranking to number 12 in the East.
3375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 09, 2021, 09:15:12 PM
Curry still doing his thing and the GSW strength in numbers, what a performance from him tbh, it's totally the Curry we always wanted to see.

By the way, I think Markieff deserves that shouldered from Jokic, I mean he shouldn't have reacted it that way when there's no clearly foul when  Jokic got that ball, he should have his cool. Jokic as far as I can see played a good defense there and Markieff after that shove looks like was just acting, any thoughts? That was hilarious from Jimmy Butler that "Let's fight in the back".

I think there is absolutely no place for what Jokic did, with Markieff having his back turned and all, it could have been way worse and Morris could have suffered a more serious injury looking at the weight of Jokic and Morris being literally unaware of what was coming. Jokic will most likely be suspended for multiple games, I think.

And be fine too, I know that Jokic is disappointed with the performance of his team right now, and he is the reigning MVP. But what he did was not acceptable, it's a cheap shot. Sure Morris had foul him hard to stop them, but the way he responded blind sided a guy.

Acting or not, Jokic has the bad intention to bring the guy down. For sure the NBA are going to look at this issue, regardless if you are the reigning MVP of the league.

As the commentator said, Jokic has a history with the Morris brother, what Jokic did here was not cool but Markieff started it and you can tell that Jokic was just reacting, he maybe cannot control his emotion anymore but I think Markieff deserved that.
3376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: November 08, 2021, 10:53:00 PM
Perhaps, it was started already in some places. Like those countries that legalized Bitcoin is something that has been applied but I believe it was for the good of everyone and to stop any illegal activities (fraud).

People will then think about losing their anonymity and that can be possible and besides, even using exchanges we've been losing it. To comply with KYC as we are worried about once it becomes regulated, that would be asked but why we should have not complied with it if we don't have any illegal intentions?

As it was started, that certainly be going to continue but I think, the volatile nature of the market remains.
3377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 08, 2021, 09:14:50 PM

I guess this will be the end of Santos' career. Vic Manuel is a good steal for the SMB because he can work inside unlike Arwind who only shoots outside and doesn't do his low post game anymore. They really believe that TNT is a threat because TNT beat all the SMB corporation teams and they need to be better his new conference.

If the price is right santos is willing to move and accept that fate, who among us expect that Danny I who brings a lot of title to this company and he is not just a role player but the main man of the team, it's pretty normal to see players to go and be traded, the thing that I didn't expect is SMB will acquired Manuel who just traded from Phoenix.

I just looking for any good information but it's really a big surprise, with him, towering inside together with Tau and JMF will be the toughest core to dominate.

And with Terrence and CJ, it's a PH national against the PBA team. Grin Roll Eyes

This is a trade, Santos has no choice but to accept it and play with Northport, I don't know when his contract will expire but at least he is required to play while his contract is still on and he has to play based on how he is expected to play. After his contract will expire, then we will know if he will be renewed or he will retire, it's just unfortunate that if he will not get renewed anymore, he cannot retire with SMB where he won multiple championships.

For sure Northport won't be able to renew his contract with the same amount or higher once it expires because his current contract makes him in the top 10 highest earners in the PBA. Number 5 in the list here - https://www.trendrr.net/10957/highest-paid-most-successful-pba-players-salary-famous-richest/

Arwin Santos is 40 years old now, he might only get a veterans contract after the current.

PBA is not so transparent with the salary of their players, as some posters said, they also have an under the table compensation especially if they win a championship. For Arwind Santos, this are the information I found online.

Last 2015, he signed a  P15.1M deal for 3 years. so that's Php 5 million per month, source : https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/08/20/15/arwind-cabagnot-ink-p151m-deal..... after this, I don't find an information on how much his new contract when he got renewed in 2018.

In the Philippines that's huge already, no wonder why other players are signing in B-Leauge as they can make bigger salary in just a short contract.

Some hint on what the B league players are making which obviously bigger than what the average salary of PBA are giving.

According to a 2019 article in Japan Times, the average base salary of Japanese players is $147,000.00 or P7,354,851 per year as of November.

That's for Thirdy Ravena only and he surely gets bigger salary than an ordinary player because he is an import.
3378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 08, 2021, 08:50:42 PM
For MVP candidate, never miss Caruso LOL! Well, tbh I guess on the likes of Durant, Jokic, Giannis, Curry, are in that race.

IMO, Durant should be in the top 1 now being a contender in the MVP race, he is very efficient and he can make at least 30 points per game without a problem. Giannis and Jokic, they are not so consistent yet, their teams struggles a bit but Durant keeps winning for his team and getting good numbers.

Yeah, who wouldn't missed Durant in the top 3 of the MVP race for this year? I don't think that Jokic can do back to back, his Denver Nuggets is not the same as last year.

As for Wiggins, he is still part of the GSW, not sure why the discussion of him being traded. His points might be down a bit from last year, but still the same Wiggins for me. It's that Jordan Poole is now the new player in GSW as the second best scorer.
Looks like they're getting better without Kyrie Irving? For sure we'll never miss Durant in this race he's really getting a good start this season and looks like there duo with Harden was just amazing to see. I guess Wiggins still plays his role and he's still that good at it, Poole was just having the playing time and the kid really has the bright future.

After a rough start for the Nets, they now manage to have a 5 win streak, and actually, I didn't notice it right away as I'm not so hype by the Nets now without Kyrie Irving, however they proved that they don't need a player who doesn't care for the team and they are now dominating with their hot streak. Just like the Warriors, they also have their very own win streak.
3379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NO KYC Sportbooks? on: November 08, 2021, 02:36:28 PM
Perhaps those users are high rollers? Thats why the casino asked for some personal information to those users in the first place. As a small gambler like me who play with tens of dollar as starting balances, I have never faced such kind of thing.

Good for you then but don't expect the same status and experience in the future. The information from some users regarding KYC on gambling sites is now proof that even a reputable and largest site like Stake is now slowly in the centralization phase.

KYC is something that we can't avoid in the future, whatever the platform is.

I agree because KYC is a mandatory procedure for financial institutions, exchanges, sportsbooks, etc. If some Sportbooks do not require users to pass KYC, it means the regulators have not reached it yet, which will definitely happen in the future. So I would not recommend to use VPN/TOR on Sportbooks which prohibit you to use the platform to avoid possible problems.

We trust a casino based on their reputation and I think they don't need to acquire a license in order to operate as long as there's no legal risk on their side. What I'm trying to say is that, if all of them will get the license, that means they'll be regulated and therefore KYC will become mandatory, so what happen to anonymous gambling then?
3380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: November 07, 2021, 10:59:08 PM
A few statistics: 8,000 US dollars, 400 days, 5 billion, the most awesome investment. This is SHIB.
Maybe we couldn't say it won't but have to accept as well that it can be difficult to reach that price if we have this huge number of token supply. Mostly, we could identify the project has the possibility to gain high market price depending on their market cap, the small one would have the bigger change.

We might see SHIB will have a huge pump someday but can't be enough to reach $0.1. I can't be a hundred percent sure but most likely that will happen unless if the team decided to burn some of their tokens to decrease their total supply and make help to uplift their price. I believe this will be the most effective way and this has been proven and tested to the other projects like Binance coin.
