3361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH price keeps decreasing? on: October 23, 2022, 10:42:53 PM
All altcoins fluctuate in price depending on Bitcoin.  But cryptocurrency prices never follow the stock market.  Stock market is one thing and cryptocurrency is a different thing.  Cryptocurrencies are not comparable to the stock market. So I disagree with your example
Crypto market has no correlation with stock market but if there is any similarity of price movement chart then it is just coincidence and unrelated, so he should be able to tell the difference and since the two are on different sides I also disagree and he should know more on the crypto market.
It has, you shall watch it properly. The market was always following the stock market. The correctlation was also very strong. It';s caused by investors who have been investing in the crypto was also doing the same thing with the stock market too. I think that you must also aware about this. This is the truth and it can't be denied. The price movement in the crypto is pretty similar as stock market.

My observations also do not see any correlation between crypto market and stock market, no evidence that stock investors are also investing in crypto. My friends who invest in stocks don't like cryptocurrencies, and I'm the opposite of them. The common point of both is that both are in a crisis economy and are both risky markets, so there will be common reactions when any bad news happens. This similarity will soon end when the economy recovers and returns to normal.

For me, we can't really deny that there is some sort of correlation between all financial markets, it's that crypto is very volatile as compare to stock market and others. And that's why there are traders in other market that doesn't want to try crypto and then there are those wall street who are willing to take that risk here because of the huge rewards.

For Ethereum not really having a good increase despite it's merging and it's supply being burned, I guess the main reason is that there are no investors or more sellers simply as that. Nevertheless it doesn't mean that Ethereum is not a good project to invest, it's the second best behind bitcoin.
3362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How accurate is the BTC RAINBOW chart? on: October 23, 2022, 10:27:02 PM
I guess we have not a saying with this prediction model, they are "accurate until it breaks". So that what happen to let's say PlanB's STF model in 2021, till November and then it breaks apart not reaching the 6 digit mark.

So it could be the same as the bitcoin rainbow chart, I saw a similar post in the Speculation board so yeah, majority could have seen this model already and obviously we know that it could be a hit or miss.
3363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: October 23, 2022, 10:14:46 PM
When we thought that Crawford has already move out of the shadow of Top Rank because his critics felt that he is cherry picking opponents for him, now he decided to go and fight a unknown?

Nothing against Avanesyan, but Crawford, his last fight is against Porter, and it seems that this is a big let down for his fans as if instead of levelling up, he chooses to go down one level down.

Couldn't really blame Crawford, the man waited so long for at least a year as I remembered just for the undisputed fight and then somewhere in June they are having some discussion with Spence's camp but ended in separate ways because both camp didn't agreed on something. He was promised a fight, even leave Bob Arum just to make the fight possible but now he was all alone hanging.

I know there's a lot of expectation for Bud's next opponent, we thought it will be Spence but didn't happen, and then we also thought it would be Charlo in super welter but Charlo doesn't want to give Crawford a chance because he didn't go through the ranks. That is why now we have this David Avanesyan as a supposed tune-up fight to keep Bud in shape.

And I think David is the back up fight plan of Crawford if the fight fell through with Spence. Yes, I know that this opponent is not what we expect of him, but perhaps its the easiest to make instead of looking for good fighters in this division at they will have to go to another round of negotiations and there are chances that it might not happen again.

So they chooses a hard hitting fighter in David Avanesyan and so Crawford will be tested here. Nevertheless, we could see a war in the initial opening and then Crawford taking over and uses his jab to pot shop Avanesyan.
3364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2022, 09:59:02 PM
I have to say this is going to get me hated, but I find Jokic to be a bit overrated. Yes dude has good stats that's for sure, but he is a slow center that doesn't really have that much skill at scoring if you ask me, he is using what he has right now but when he gets older, his passing will be the only thing left for him to do, his scoring will drop a whole ton, and his style is not going to age that well.

I feel like Embiid is better, because he has the strength and fighting spirit that Jokic doesn't have. Smart players are valuable and Jokic is smart, but he is not going to be great for too many years, just 2 more years and we will see a steep decline for him if you ask me.
Well, and I figured I was the only one to think that of Jokic.
I confess he's a good player, but sometimes I think he's overhated, he's a center with technique, but unfortunately he can't defend very well compared to other players in his position.

He is an extremely fundamental and important player for the Nuggets, but I also agree that over time his level may decrease, I'm not saying about his technique and vision of the game, but his strength, mobility, agility, physical attributes related to the player.

Let's see if he can maintain this consistency in a few seasons in the future!

Or he can be defended very well in the low post with players like Draymond Green. Green is not a pure center, but it seems that Jokic has problems with players defended him inside. There were times in their playoff series last year wherein Green just literally took the ball from the hands of Jokic when he tries to post up Green.

But I think he is a good player, not in the in caliber of Dirk yet as he hasn't won any ring. And maybe the "hate" steam from him as a center that is not athletic enough, if we look at previous centers that really dominated the game in their primes, Kareem, Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain and the last great center of them, Shaq can move very quick as compare to Jokic.

2. you didn't exploit their system?

In any case the best way to deal with it is to open a scam accusation against them in this board,

You just have to follow the format.

I can't remember when was my last big hit, but for sports betting, I put a big bet on my favorite sports of boxing, it was a full month of my salary in a signature campaign way back, hehehe and it give me a good result.

It was a parlay, I don't know, I have a feeling that time that I'm going to win or feeling a bit lucky that's why I withdraw my signature campaign payment and deposit everything in the casino to make that bet.
3368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 22, 2022, 11:50:09 PM
For those who are interested on the PPV numbers, as reported:

Quote
Nielsen Media Research revealed that their second 135-pound championship match drew an average audience of 935,000. Viewership peaked at 970,000 for a main event that ended approximately five minutes before Deontay Wilder’s first-round knockout of Robert Helenius began on FOX Sports Pay-Per-View.

However, it  is down as compared to their last fight:

Quote
The first bout between Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) and Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) drew an average audience of 1,322,000 and a peak audience of 1,351,000 four months ago.

https://www.boxingscene.com/haney-kambosos-rematch-watched-by-an-average-935000-viewers-on-espn--169844

But still though, I think the numbers are good and for sure the promoters are very happy to see this big numbers assuming that the fight happened in Australia and probably most buys are coming from the Aussies themselves.

Thanks for the figures mate. But this also means the fight is not on PPV since Nielsen Media could track it. The figures aren't bad after all considering how one-sided and I even felt it was a boring fight. And most of us already knew the results before this fight happened.

That Wilder PPV presented by PBC on FOX was crap. It was entertaining after Wilder and Plant delivered devastating KOs but they were fighting low-ranked opponents unlike Haney-Kambosos and the Shields-Marshall+Baumgardner+Mayer show. There's a good reason why PBC waited for Haney and Kambosos to finish before it started because they simply cannot compete.

But the best event of that weekend was the women's double unification fights between Shields-Marshall and Baumgardner-Mayer. I'm glad more people watched the title fights rather than the cherry-picked PPV.

Yep, not bad at all as there are a lot of fights as well in that weekend, so there is competition as well for us boxing fans as to what fights we wanted to see.

And I read that the Haney's are still giving props for the Victorian government in allowing them to travel and fight in Australia. I guess if we will see Australian champions in the future, this could be a similar trend as trend. US fighters travel to Australia and fight and maybe have the same experience as the Haney's.
3369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usage of Blockchain technology on: October 22, 2022, 11:32:20 PM
For users who have been thinking about the real life usage of blockchain technology, here is an example. The Indian Police have launched a polygon blockchain based complaint registration portal. Indian district named Firozabad located 40km away from the world famous Taj Mahal have launched this complaint registration portal for the transparency of complaints lodged by the victims.

The project is developed to solve the issue of officials refusing to file complaint against victims and to avoid the manipulation of the complaints. With this people can easily lodge their complaints without fear and keep the complaints away from manipulation by the officials. This system will serve as a key system in the Indian Police System where corruption is a big problem from the lower level.

Source: India Police Launch Pilot Polygon-Based Complaint Registration Portal

Yeah, ever since the idea of blockchain technology being a helpful tool for any industry specially government, they have learn to adapt it. I remember as early as 2018, the government of Canada has been using blockchain for their registration or at least showing their people the incoming budget of a certain government project ans how and where the money is spent (if my memory serves me right).

And then the whole idea of election votes going into blockchain so that the data can't be tampered by anyone, or manipulate in order for a candidate to win the election. This are just some of the real life usage of blockchain and hopefully it will gain traction for government to used it.
3370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Man Won $51,000 in Sports Betting With a Bet of Just $1.072 on: October 22, 2022, 11:17:44 PM
Impressive bet and wagered amount is small compared to reward, only lucky gambler with skills can win such bets, IMO. Regardless of won amount, sharing with everyone is dangerous for obvious reasons. Not everyone is friendly and gonna love the gambler especially after big wins, enemies can make plans if gambler becomes easy target so better sit tight and enjoy winnings.

Sometimes we only not need lucky but with skills as well. So in any case this 2 factors collide, then you will have a huge winning, a improbable odds nevertheless you hit that and for sure the winner is very happy and enjoying it.

He's putting himself at risk by exposing himself he is now the target of greedy people who will target him because this kind of person is so naive in handling huge amounts of money, especially coming from gambling, he will end up with nothing just a few years if he will not protect himself from these greedy people around him.
People who are betting in a lottery or playing in casinos should practice discretion it always pays to be simple and not boast that you won a big amount.

Yes, and as what we have been discussing in the last couple of threads about winning and winning big, we shouldn't exposed ourselves to anyone. A lot of your friends and relatives will come after you and asking for free money because they know that you won big in gambling. You just have to be quiet and celebrate it with your family and kids, that's it.
3371  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 22, 2022, 11:02:10 PM
Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

I think if you’re gambling with a reputable company then you won’t have this problem. That’s what makes them a reputable company. If for some reason you do have issues, the first thing you need to do is make sure that you didn’t break any rules or do anything illegal. If everything on your end is good and your identity is on file with the casino, then I would first see if you can work the issues out with them. If not, then you can post exactly what happened here and see if the community can be of any help.

The problem is that there are gamblers who play on some mid tier casinos and obviously this is what they will get when they won big. There will be problems when they try to withdraw and will give every reason in the book not to processed or delay it. In your case if you really think that you didn't violate any ToS then you have every right to demand your winnings. As others have said, if they have a live support chat then talk to them and ask for the reasons why they are delaying your withdrawals. Just make sure to screenshot and capture every chat and logs and email.
3372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: October 22, 2022, 10:47:34 PM
We don't always have to keep losing or winning at gambling games. it can be like a bitcoin chart, it will not always keep losing, there will definitely be a win in gambling life like that. in brackets we must be able to manage money, how do we assume our money is not too burnt in gambling games and can instead get profits and enjoy the results. control emotions to control play

Definitely, as a gambler you should know it, you can't win all the time and it depends on how you handle the situation. So whatever you call it, distortion pattern or others, still based on our luck that day you gamble.

Emotions is one big part, because as gamblers it's really hard to control, when you are winning you don't know when to stop. When you are losing, you want to comeback and recoup and it will be either you win big or go home and take the walk of shame.
the most difficult thing to give up a lot of money being burned for free and want to come back again, that's a bad thing that will happen. sacrificing that debt only makes us lose something valuable for an unsecured money back. I've experienced something like this, common sense will be disturbed to be confused about which path to take

Yeah, that's why it is very difficult to quit when you are winning, I will admit myself that I was taken away by this kind of emotions. But I guess if we can say that gamblers maturing as some point, we should realized that it's better to quit and go home or exit when we are in a big win. We don't want to get carried away just because we have recovered already as per distortion 4 and wanting more. Just like night I have experience this, I started playing and make good money in the first 10-20 minutes. But after that my luck has change, but I have the mental fortitude to go home with still have some winnings in my wallet, this is in a land base casino by the way.
3373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 22, 2022, 10:17:15 PM
Fury vs Usyk have been postponed for next year if I'm not mistaken as Usyk said that he wanted to take a break. And then we have heard that Fury vs Joshua was also in the horizon, unfortunately the fight is also in a dead end.
Usyk wants to rest so he can heal properly physically from the fights he has been in this year already, we will see him in the ring again next year. Fury who is hungry for a fight and has been turned down by Anthony Joshua for that audience, will now fight Chisora for the third time who he has beaten twice before. Fury is in a high spirited mode and is promising a good fight, but since he wanted the Anthony Joshua challenge before which he didn't get heading to the fight with Usyk next year, his team should not want to be quick to see Chisora as a walk over. Chisora has lost twice already to Fury and knows exactly who he is getting into the ring with, he will not like to make it three times, and he was the winner in his last fight, maybe that's an indication that he has developed from the last time he was in the ring with Fury.

But that is not the fans wanted for Fury to face isn't it? we demand a Joshua fight and it seems that they are in the negotiation table, unfortunately, it bogged down, we don't know who stall it or what is the problem because that is going to be huge in Britain. Chisora is not on the top 5 for the Heavyweight, maybe it was just a keep busy fight for Fury so that he can either wait for Usyk if he wanted to make it next year, or continue with the battle of Britain with Joshua. There is also a WBC title eliminator that is ordered by Sulaiman next week between Wilder and Ruiz Jr.

Tyson Fury keeps talking a lot of nonsense. He demanded an Usyk fight but wanted it to happen this December which doesn't make sense as Usyk wanted to properly heal himself from his 12-round fight with AJ.

The Fury-AJ talks were just talks. Fury wanted to lure AJ into a fight and we know AJ is a warrior and will accept it. But we also know that AJ has a team behind him that will advise him to stop it since he just lost his last fight. Another obstacle is Matchroom and DAZN just renewed its contract with AJ and pretty sure it is not cheap. They won't throw millions of dollars only for AJ to get destroyed by Fury after his defeat to Usyk. Eddie Hearn will stage tune-up fights for AJ until they feel his confidence is back.

What's funny is Fury trash-talking AJ and Usyk while he is also under negotiations with undeserving heavyweights like Manuel Charr and Derrick Chisora whom he already beat twice easily. There are many good heavyweights in the ranks but Fury prefers to unleash his loud mouth telling the public he wants Usyk and AJ but in reality, he's cherry-picking his next fight. Why not challenge the WBO interim Joe Joyce whom he shares with the same promoter and who's nearly his size with a perfect 15-0-14 KOs record? That would be easy to make and it would fill a stadium in the UK for sure as Joyce is a British silver medalist Olympian.

True, and it's the personality of Fury, hehehehe calling AJ and then Usyk for his bluff, and when they call off, they look for boxers that he has beaten already, so it's just a strategy for him to lure any of the two but so far he fails and as @bbc.reporter said, create the aura that he is not afraid to fight anyone and created more hype around his name. So good marketing strategy for him by his team.

He even said that he rate Chisora higher than Usyk, hehehehe.

What a way to hype his fight against a man he beat twice already.
3374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 22, 2022, 10:02:03 PM
Ja Morant dropped 49 points in their game against the Rockets! Jalen Green also did great and there's no other front-runner on this team despite being one year with the team, his contribution is enormous, and not surprised that he's got the second pick for round 1 last year.
Those that haven't watched some games of Ja should start watching him. Although he's got some bitter statements last time against MJ, this boy got really has something to show aside just from being athletic.
He already proved himself last season, he will be a hall of famer, I'm hoping that he will stay healthy so injury will not kill his career. That game we've seen how athletic he is, it's fun to watch the Memphis with him due to lots of highlights. Also, great job by Jalen Green, there's no superstar in the team but he is playing hard, so soon we might see him leading this team.
That's the deterrent for most of these stars including him, having an injury. We saw it happen in many of them and how they're able to get back hard after their recovery. These two got no superstars but doing great jobs on their respective teams.
Ja morant is a good player I am not against that, but people are overreacting on his good moves, and yes he is scoring a lot of points and he is playing well but that's a game that could be locked down easily with some good defense, a bit of zone on inside, some one step behind defending and you could lock him down on playoff games.

Give it some time for Ja to learn and improved his game. I'm not saying that he is comparable to Jordan in his early years, but Michael was also going hard to the rim every night until he learn to shot outside when he is getting older. For now, let's enjoy Ja athleticm and see how he will adjust specially in playoff wherein teams are tightening their defense on him. Again, last season they have a good series against the eventual champion GSW, and they are the 2nd seed in the West. A lot of things on their side this season and see if they can have that performance once again.

3375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 22, 2022, 10:05:57 AM
A lot of people.would probably be watching this just to see Pacman go in the ring again though of coursw with less intensity. Most probably, the stadium would not be filled by hardcore fans of boxings but jusr of enthusiasts. Pacman still has the power punches and speed at his disposal, but DK Yoo is still a formidable opponent that also has a lot power packing in his every punch.

As far as filling the stadium and bringing sits in the table, I think otherwise. It will still be filled with fans of Manny hardcore or casuals fans of boxing. And that's what really separate Manny from the rest, he is a legendary that can really attract fans and boxers alike. But yeah, he will fight with less intensity, not giving his full power as he can knockout his opponent with a single punch.

I think Manny is still good for a few years of exhibition matches that can still be exciting for the public to watch until it is exciting no more.

As long as there are fans that are willing to pay this exhibition match, it will continue. The Paul Brothers and Floyd Mayweather are making huge money. Even those former boxers and MMA fighters as well.

My picks for tonight.

Houston Rockets vs Memphis Grizzlies(-1,5) = First Quarter 1,80 odds

Golden State Warriors(-4,5) vs Denver Nuggets = Golden State Warriors Win

Unfortunately, Rockets won the first quarter, 32-26.

Then Nuggets shockingly defeating the Warriors 128-123.

I myself was not lucky as well with my Suns picks, as the Trailblazers won in OT.

Just 1/2 for me, so break even for today's game. Haven't look at the next game, but hopefully we can get back strong and win more games.

Congrats to @stadus for his easy pick and win with the Boston Celtics.
3379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: October 22, 2022, 08:16:15 AM
So now to avoid the lawsuit against him Elon Musk has agreed to buy twitter for the purposed $44bln from what was sold for over three months ago.
https://www.ign.com/articles/elon-musk-offering-to-buy-twitter-at-the-original-price

The trial date was set for October 17th, less than two weeks from now.
It seems something has tweaked his interest in the acquisition after all.

And now this reports surfaces:

Quote
Elon Musk told prospective investors in his deal to buy the company that he planned to get rid of nearly 75 percent of Twitter’s 7,500 workers, whittling the company down to a skeleton staff of just over 2,000.

Even if Musk’s Twitter deal falls through — and there’s little indication now that it will — big cuts are expected: Twitter’s current management planned to pare the company’s payroll by about $800 million by the end of next year, a number that would mean the departure of nearly a quarter of the workforce, according to corporate documents and interviews with people familiar with the company’s deliberations. The company also planned to make major cuts to its infrastructure, including data centers that keep the site functioning for more than 200 million users that log on each day.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/10/20/musk-twitter-acquisition-staff-cuts/

So regardless, Twitter is on a massive employee cut, 75% of it's workforce will be out of work even if Musk is going or have acquired Twitter.

So definitely it's a bad news for their employees, but I guess that is the bad side of business. Even if Musk owns Twitter, as some point he has to make some money in the beginning and recover and have to let go of his employees.
3380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 21, 2022, 11:59:43 PM
He can follow the footstep of Manny Pacquiao but he will never beat the achievement of Pacquiao who is the only 8th division champion. Inoue though one of the most popular boxers now I find him not a total risk taker as he does not accept every challenge on him, just like when Casimero was still a champ and he was challenged, he did respond to words that he will fight him but did not sign a contract, not sure if it's his promoter of it's really him who is not interested in fighting his closest rival.

I don't believe that Naoya Inoue is not interested in fighting Casimero. They already have an official fight but the pandemic wrecked that fight. And to clarify things about that supposed bout between Inoue and Casimero, it's the WBO that stepped up and mandate the latter to defend his title against Paul Butler who later on got the WBO title from him and now has a chance to fight Inoue.

Yeah, Inoue shows intention that he did want to fight Casimero and that time, it was doable, Casimero will just have to defend his belt against Butler. And with the way he bad mouthing Inoue, Naoya is very eager to shut the mouth of the Filipino. Unfortunately, the fight is not going to happen in 118 lbs.

There's no way that Inoue will not fight Casimero. Inoue is ready for anyone. Blame Casimero for his reckless action as he should be the one fighting for the bantamweight unification fight and not Paul Butler. He's the reason why he never has a chance now to face Inoue.

True, he really killed his chances when he can't control the weight and not it's Paul Butler who is taking his position. But as I have said, there is still chance for them to meet in the next weight class of 122. So we will see, Casimero has a scheduled fight already this December, he just have to win again to keep our hopes of seeing this fight in the future.
