^  You mean a trashing?  I doubt it.  At the start of the season or the first couple of months, I guess I wouldn’t fault anybody for saying that.  I would say that.  Lol.  But really now, City has no real striker in their team and their team total has been somewhat low for a squad like that.

I’d say City wins 2 - 0, 2 - 1 as before I’d say 5 - 0, 5- 1 or something crazy.
A skilled winger with good shooting technique is more dangerous than a target man these days because they are tough to man mark because they roam around rather than standing in the box like a target man ( striker). Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain play without a striker the majority of the time and have good results; no team nowadays relies on a striker.

Have you noticed that Manchester City's midfielders are becoming older? In comparison to earlier, the work pace in the middle has decreased slightly.

Sure but imagine if they still got prime Aguero in that squad or what if they acquired Harry Kane.  That at least could give them an option.  City looks toothless out there at times.  I mean just look, they got 1 - 0 against Wolves with 10 men on the pitch.  Meh...

Yeah a tad older but the performance is still great imho, even better than most in Europe.  And the last time I looked, City is still the favorite to win the UCL.

What about Sean O'Malley? The fighter is a star (at least he thinks he is). His fights are always get a lot of attention. But we dont have a single line  of discussion on last pages. He seems very popular, but yet is not in top10 of bantamweight. Almost all of his UFC fights get a reward of the night. But he is fighting some kind of no-names. He got only 1 good opponent from top (Marlon Vera) and did not stand a round against him. He had some trash talk with Garbrandt, maybe trying to get attention or a future fight against a top opponent.

Now O'Malley fights against a good opponent, but not very popular in UFC. Do you think that he will win? Or UFC are building O'Malley career ?

He’s a hyped prospect.  When he was a given a real opponent in Chito Vera, he lost.  I’d stay away from betting him straight or include him in my parlays at 1.32.  I think it’s better to go for the under 2.5 rounds at 1.73.  Paiva at 3.80 could be worth a small sprinkle too.  You just never know with that guy.

And it’s the last call for a chance to win some free money in jeremypwr’s Multi Master Challenge.  Good luck!  Wink

Anyway some trivia...  Which driver has the most over takes this season?  Grin

Interesting question. I'm not going to google it, but this has to be someone who normally starts quite far back on the grid, but has acquired quite a lot of championship points. I'm going to go with Norris or maybe even Alonso, with Perez as a long shot because he always seems to start way back considering he's in a Red Bull. Actually, Ricciardo might be a possibility, too. But now I have mentioned almost half the grid!

I'd not consider Vettel, because I don't think he can overtake, similar to Bottas.

Okay, final decision: Norris.

Edit... I've just googled it and found the answer Cheesy

It’s close between the driver you expect and the driver you would never expect because of the stigma that he ‘just had the best car’. Lol.  Cheesy

Anyway, nice qualifying for Verstappen as expected.  But I wonder what’s Red Bull’s strategy tomorrow since Verstappen ruined his mediums in Q2 and was forced to take his fastest lap with the softs...  Prolly run the softs for as long as he can and slap on the mediums?

According to rumors, Verstappen will use the same Power Unit for the last gp while Hamilton has some doubt...

It seems impossible to me but whatever...

Source https://www.formulapassion.it/motorsport/formula-1/f1-piloti/power-unit-abu-dhabi-verstappen-non-cambia-dubbio-hamilton-red-bull-mercedes-596523.html

But if Verstappen has his car's power unit changed, he'll have a 5 car grid penalty.  Would the new power unit really give much more pace that Red Bull would be willing to take that risk?  I think I'm with Hamilton.  Mercedes got RBR by the ropes and it's Hamilton's championship to lose now.

Should be a fun start of the race.  Grin

I also think that Hamilton is the big favorite now, because the Mercedes is just a few tenth of a second faster at the moment than the Red Bull it seems. Since they have changed the engine of Hamilton's car back in Mexico Verstappen has no chance to keep up with him, especially during the race. In the qualifying it is a little bit closer but even there Verstappen has to produce absolute perfect laps to have a chance against mercedes. You just need to lock at the other drivers of Mercedes and Red Bull. Bottas has not much struggle to keep up with Hamilton, which clearly shows that Hamilton has not even to risk a lot to produce fast times, while Perez is like half a second behind Verstappen in the Qualifyings.

Did you see how fast Hamilton was in the Mercedes in Saudi Arabia?  It was really fast.  Lol.  And here’s the thing, yeah the betting market shows Hamilton isn’t such a huge favorite.  That’s because there’s a lot more variables to consider since there are 20 cars in the grid.  But make it a head to head race with just Hamilton and Redbull how would you line that race?  I’d say Hamilton would be at most 1.25.

I believe that the Chelsea v Leeds match is definitely going to be a wonderful match. It is because Leeds can contribute to this match a lot too. Chelsea are a few steps ahead of Leeds now of course. They are a much more stable team when it comes to getting wins. And I wait for them to get another win here. But at least, Leeds can score too and make the match more interesting.

To be honest, Leeds are too attacking, they don’t defend well. Chelsea will pick them off on the break & win comfortably. My opinion only, of course.

That’s true.  But Chelsea hasn’t really been looking good in their last couple of games too.  Chelsea could win but I wouldn’t be betting it or putting it in my parlays.  It could very may well be Bielsa out foxing Tuchel and getting a point from the match.  Dunno...  I could be wrong but we’ll see...  Leeds has some injury concerns and does Raphinha look fully fit?

Should be a fun start of the race.  Grin

I'm fully anticipating a championship-deciding "accidental" collision at the start. See the exact same thing in Suzuka 1990 with Senna/Prost for a taster. Or if not, maybe a Schumacher '94 or '97, "accidental" championship-deciding crash partway through the race.

The anticipation of this happening is so strong now that Horner has had to come out with a statement denying that Max is planning such a thing!

Of course with everyone expecting it to happen, Max has less chance of getting away with claiming it's an accident, so maybe this in itself is enough to stop it happening.

If ever a collision happens I highly doubt it would be either from Verstappen or Hamilton.  And I mean this at the start of the race.  What could happen tho is something like how Bottas took out Red Bull and was it Norris?  I forgot but yeah...  Something like that.

And some action is moving the line on Verstappen to win at qualification.  It’s currently at 2.25 right now, down from 2.50 just two days ago.

Anyway some trivia...  Which driver has the most over takes this season?  Grin

You can be right about this and Ryan Hall could get another loss from Darrick Minner, and comparing their body build maybe Minner has power on his takedown defense, and that Imanari Roll is really outdated right now maybe he builds new tricks up his sleeves well, I really don't want my expectation on Ryan Hall to disintegrate that is why I am giving this fight to him and if Darrick Minner could go on with a ground fight I really think Ryan Hall can have his way around, but If Minner can have a tip on Ryan Hall's recent fight against Ilia Topuria and preventing those Imanari Roll, and if Ryan Hall only knows that one technique they he surely underestimating the level of UFC right now.
This is often the case for Ryan Hall though. He doesn't really need the strength that other fighters have because he prioritises technique. Though, I have to admit a Ryan Hall who was semi decent at stand up, and someone who had a little more muscle to him would be absolutely scary for anyone in the division. It's a shame really that he didn't seem to fight more in the UFC, and try a different approach now, and again. HIs submissions are well pulled off most of the time, but I just wish he did try to become a more rounded fighter.

Obviously, he's getting on a bit now so its not likely going to happen. Would have also liked to see him fight more, but I do believe quite a few fighters were ducking him.

I feel like Ryan Hall subs Minner just from judging how poor Minner was in his last fight.  But the problem is the line...  Ryan Hall at 1.50 is not very enticing but Ryan Hall at 2.60 at Stake kinda is since how else is he going to win vs Minner?

The under 2.5 rounds is now juiced at 1.62.  I should’ve bet it when it was at around 1.75.

It looks like this event is gonna be really good now that I have been poking around Tapology.  I think there’s some plus money unders there that could hit.

Chelsea hasn't been looking good in their last three matches.  Conceding a goal against Watford, losing against West Ham 3 - 2 and showing a very horrendous performace against Zenith.  But sure Chelsea is gonna win vs Leeds but as far as betting goes, just stay away imho.  Something is off about them.  There are lots more better spots out there.

I just made my predictions for UFC Sportsbet promotion and I honestly think this is going to be very good fight card to watch.
Even prelims with big heavyweights Augusto Sakai and Tai Tuivasa will be bombastic and I don't know for sure who will win that fight.

UFC 269 media day is now live and you can listen for statements from most fighters or watch recording later on youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNdKhibLalA

For some reason I keep forgetting jeremypwr's UFC Multi Master prediction game.  Please post the thread in here if anybody remembers it so more people could join.  Thanks.

Sakai is the more technical striker and the slightly better fighter but does he really want to be matched up vs Tuivasa right after that KO loss vs Roz?  Sakai should take an easier match up imho.  But yeah...  It's a coin flip.

Maybe with Rangnick staying at Man United as a consultant, the next manager could be somebody from Germany or prolly somebody influenced by German football?  Dunno..

Among the possible managers from Germany, the guy who’s free right now is Joachim Low lined at 50.  But I doubt United will hire a crotch sniffer to lead the club.  I’m hoping it’s Nagelsmann but he just took over Bayern this season.  Another one I like is Hansi Flick but it’s the World Cup next year.  I doubt he’ll leave the German national team before that.

DOGE looks like it has bottomed out but it also looks like whales are shorting it everytime it shows some strength going up...  It’s almost like it’s being manipulated from breaking out.  I think a short squeeze is in order here to flush those shorters out but the problem is who is willing to take on those whales?

Binance has a Doge promotion going on but it’s not really doing much.  SHIB on the other hand, easy two day run up of 15% each... No resistance what so ever.
A Doge promotion? What do you mean? Please share links when you have news like that if you want to make your post interesting and valuable.
I've found this announcement but I wouldn't call that a promotion, then I suppose you're talking about something else.
https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/6b2f5843acab4ef7855a364fa54936b4

That’s exactly what I’m talking about...  Lol.  How is that not a promotion?  I mean it’s a promotion for Binance with Doges as the prize.  And I guess CZ is promoting both since Doge withdrawals have just been fixed..?

But yeah..  Kinda losing hope rn.  I think I’m gonna sell at the next run up.  Will kick myself if it trends up back to ath.  Cheesy
Not a promotion for DOGE holders unfortunately  Undecided I was hoping a good opportunity to increase my bag but I think Binance doesn't offer this kind of investment for free.

Ah nah, not for Doge holders.  You know how CZ is...  Deep inside him if he knew he could get away with the shenanigans that Justin Sun does I think he’d definitely do it.  Lol.

They’re mostly marketers in this whole thing to get rich.  And not just rich, he’s on a level where he wants to become FU rich.  Rich enough to buy his own jet.

What do you guys think of this...  It’s the bear market and everything starts trending back down.  But BTC trends down faster than ETH giving ETH gains vs BTC and somewhat not losing as much market cap as BTC.  After a few months or so a flippening happens but nobody in the ETH community could really celebrate cos it’s way down from the highs.  Grin

I mean for BTC’s sake I hope it doesn’t happen...  But dunno.  Let’s see.

What a way to end the season.  Winner takes all between Hamilton and Verstappen.  Smiley  I’m guessing Verstappen shows quick pace in qualifying and flawless laps in Q3 giving him pole position with Hamilton obv behind him.  Verstappen did show he could’ve gotten it at the Saudi Arabia GP if he didn’t get to aggro.

Verstappen to win at quali is at 2.75...  That’s a nice value bet imho.  What do you guys think?

This Saturday Liverpool will host Aston Villa which is managed by Gerrard who is a former Liverpool player, Villa is starting to improve after being held by Gerrard but once again they will play at Anfield it is not easy for a team to beat Liverpool at Anfield.

Gerrard got his team to win vs all clubs so far except City which is a top 4 club.  Against Liverpool I think it’s gonna be more of the same.  But one good thing about the loss vs City is they got a goal in.  That says somewhat that Gerrard could be legit.  A match vs West Ham should show where he’s really at as a manager.  See if he can out fox the genius Moyes.  Cheesy

The books seem to be unsure if BTTS hits or not lined at 1.84.

What you think guys about main event? Will Oliveira vs Poirier event set a new PPV record (I bet not) or at least be in top10 UFC PPVs ?

I have a feeling, that the main fight will be a copy of Khabib vs Poirier fight scenario. Poirier will be better in striking, but will lose due to submission. But, I must admit that the fight is going to very close. Both fighters have almost identical records and experience in UFC.

If Poirier wins, Conor will put 200% effort to have a fourth fight Cheesy

I’m no too sure if it’s gonna be like the match vs Khabib.  Oliviera doesn’t have elite wrestling.  He has the BJJ but not the wrestling.  And Oliviera isn’t as relentless as Khabib is in grappling, tho he has elite BJJ skills.  And don’t forget Oliviera got almost starched by Chandler in the first round.

But yeah...  As far as the line value goes, Poirier at 1.65 is I guess ‘fair’ so we have to look for where the value is.  Oliviera at 2.37?  Dunno..  Let’s wait for the props.  If Poirier via KO/TKO is at around 2.50, I’ll take that one.

Great win for Jose Aldo that is putting him back on top for Bantamweight division with Petr Yan, TJ Dillashaw, Cory Sandhagen andf Sterling the fake champion.
It is possible we can see Petr Yan vs Sterling rematch and Jose Aldo could fight fight with one of two fighters above him in rankings.

Yup..  135 is becoming more interesting now.  Especially right after Yan vs Sterling match happens next year.  I guess match ups that should happen are Yan vs Sterling, Aldo vs Dillashaw and maybe Sandhagen vs Font..?  With the winner of Aldo vs Dillashaw going for the title against winner of Yan vs Sterling.  Should be good.

And from all the match ups at 269 at first glance my leans which I think have value are Kai Kara-France at 2.21, Eryk Anders 2.18, Erin Blanchfield at 2.14 and Priscila Cachoeira at 4.10.

I can’t figure out why City has a decent line vs RB Leipzig.  Yeah I’m aware Pep is gonna rotate players but City’s B team is still great if played vs the likes of Leipzig which isn’t doing too well in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool same scenario but AC Milan is a club that looks to be doing well for itself.  But still LFC at 3.50 to win?  Draw no bet at 2.50 looks nice imho.  What do you guys think?

Edit:  And omg, United vs Young Boys at home could be a massacre, even with their B team.  Wait for the line up, this might be fun to gamble in the goal scorer prop.  Cheesy

Whatever that race was and whatever happened in it, I think Verstappen and Red Bull would’ve gotten the same result even if he didn’t make that mistake in sector 3 at Q3 and started at pole during the race.

Hamilton’s pace in that Mercedes was really fast.  It’s almost like they just discovered something they should’ve discovered at the start of the season.

Anyway it’s the guy who finishes with more points win.  Both drivers are tied in championship points.  When was the last time something like this happened?
