A glorious good morning Bitcoinland.

Another day, another ATH... currently $4313USD/$5480CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Everyday a bunch of new Bitcoin millionaires are created.

Doesn't it feel good to be a citizen of Bitcoinland?

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we had another ATH and then a correction/profit-taking this morning back down under $4k but edging back up... currently $4035USD/$5152CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

It's nice to see this strong rally not running away with itself. Meanwhile Altcash is hanging in at $311USD/$395CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Combined value is down a little from last night but still pretty impressive.

Bass.

Back in the 1970s-1980s I earned my living playing 6 nights a week (plus a matinee) for real money. Those days are gone now. May as well be talking about vaudeville.

Now I do it as a hobby and a way to meet younger women, playing single nights a few times a month for barely enough money to cover beer and expenses. A guaranteed $100 per player is considered good money these days. Some places only give you 15% of the cash register and let you collect a cover charge or put out a tip jar, which I consider begging.

Don't underestimate the value of meeting chicks by playing. At my age if I hit on women 20 years my junior, I'd be a dirty old man. If they hit on me, I'm a cool old guy.

Yikes. Just got home from my gig to see new ATHs happening live. Wifi was down at the bar where I was playing so I didn't know what was happenening. OMG  Shocked

Made 100 bucks playing music. Made 100 grand playing Bitcoin.

According to Coinmarketcap each bitcoin and altcashcoin together are worth $5646CAD.

Wow.  Cool

Mariners fan here, of course when the Jays come to town Vancouver packs our park solid.  It is the best kind of friendly rivalry.

We got your guy Paxton down here, been doing a hell of a job for us.

Cool. Our teams joined the AL the same year so there'll always be a bit of a link.

Watching baseball and Bitcoin can be real fun. The night we broke through $3000USD to set our first ATH in weeks, the Jays were on the road so I was at home watching them on my computer and 4K screen.

I had the game in one window and Bitcoinwisdom (Stamp) in another, cheering hits, green candles and strikeouts, one after another. My friend thought I was from Mars at first but after a bit she got right into it as well. She's not a big ball fan but she loves to see me make money.  Cheesy

That night the Jays might have lost but Bitcoin won big time and that made both of us very happy.  Cool

welcome back Jimbo...GO JAYS!

How was Rowley??

Did the job quite nicely. Threw strikes and showed good poise. Was averaging less than 13 pitches per inning through 5.

Only allowed one run and that was a lead-off triple that came in to score on a soft ground ball up the middle and that was only after he'd gotten 2 outs.

Gibby pulled him with 1 out in the 6th after allowing 2 baserunners. He got a well-deserved standing ovation.

He only threw about 75 pitches. That was probably a pre-imposed limit due to the fact that he'd been recently converted to a reliever and then barely stretched out enough for today's start. A couple more starts and he could be an inning eater.

I like the cut of his jib.

Just back from the ballpark and I see both my teams won, Jays 7-2 and Bitcoin ATH $3952USD/$5012CAD (Bitcoinaverge).

Now we're having a nice little correction/profit-taking to keep things honest. Not deep enough to buy but good enough to make sure we're not in a bubble.

Life is good. Go Bitcoin go.
3387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 12, 2017, 04:42:20 PM
OMG another ATH.  Shocked

Gotta run to the ballpark if I wanna see the first pitch.

Hopefully we'll be over $3900 by the time I get back.

I'm 49 and a smoker. Not sure I'll be around in 20 years. Should stop delaying going to the doctor...If I do go to the doctor and the prognosis is poor, I'll cash out then. I'm getting paranoid that my partner won't be able to figure out what to do with my BTC if I should meet an untimely and sudden demise; and then they'll just be burned coins.

Ok, fair enough. But if you do make it another 20 years, keep in mind that things like Medicare, Pensions, and Social Security will likely have gone the way of the dodo. Not to mention run away inflation. You may be wishing for yourself or your loved ones that you had held on to those 2 bitcoins. Perhaps pass them along to your heirs instead of cashing out?

When I was 20 years old I thought I'd never live to see 35. Let's just say I partied pretty hearty. Sex & drugs & rock & roll. (Kids today can't handle their methamphetamine.)

I also realized that by the time I reached old age, all the other babyboomers would strain the system so badly I wouldn't be able to depend on the government to support me. Unfortunately I made the mistake of investing in real estate, paying compound interest on mortgages. That ended in bankruptcy.

Luckily when I was 64 years old, I discovered Bitcoin. Now that I'm in my 70th year, I realize I might live until I'm 135. I'm glad to have my bitcoins to fall back on.

Hopefully I won't be able to spend them all and my nieces and nephews will be rich some day.

Oh look, another new ATH.

$3857USD (Bitcoinaverage).

Very agreeable.
3390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 12, 2017, 03:18:03 PM
Back up over $3800USD on all major exchanges.

How pleasant.  Cool

Kwukduck is back! Bullish?

It was already bullish. Now it's extra bullish.

Kwuk kwuk.  Grin

Incomplete poll. You omitted the 3 main reasons.

- Backlog of demand caused by pre-fork FUD.

- Relief and optimism at adoption of segwit.

- Natural growth.
3393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 12, 2017, 02:07:50 PM
An extra early but splendid good morning Bitcoinland.

I missed a couple of days but see that the post-fork rally is continuing quite nicely.

Another day, another ATH, another small correction/profit-taking, onward and upward... currently $3800USD/$4818CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Amazingly, AltCash is still over $300... currently $327USD/$415CAD (Coinmarketcap).

The CAD total over $5k represents a nice new milestone. Anyone with a couple hundred bitcoins is now a millionaire.

You used to have to be a whale to be a millionaire. Now the millionaires' club is open to small fish.

The only way I would get married is some sort of tax break or if I'm in the old age home and they give me a special dessert with my dinner when you get married.

Why would you live in an old age home when you could afford to hire and fire your own caregivers?

Enjoy life. Meet new people. Travel.

Be the boss, not an inmate.

Marriage is a great institution, if you want to live in an institution. I'm too old for that.
3396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 08, 2017, 07:04:53 PM
Segwit locked in... Bitcoin price surges upward.

 Cool
3397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 08, 2017, 04:55:53 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Another day, another ATH, but this time followed by the correction/profit-taking we all expected... currently $3370USD (Bitcoinaverage).

Meanwhile Altcash has crept up to $370USD.

Waitin' for segwit lock-in and its impact on the mempool. Will it start the influx of institutional money that some people expect?

Go Bitcoin go.

Also, go Altcash go. Isn't it fun watching two coins for the price of one?
3398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 07, 2017, 11:22:51 PM
Just checked the prices and I see my coins are worth over $4.7kCAD each, over $4.3k as BTC and over $400 as BCH.

Not bad. I'm glad I made the decision to be a double holder (for now).

 Cool

SHU* THE FU*K UP OR I CALL KWAKDUCK FOR SOME FUD

Mmmm. Fud.

Almost as good for the brain as canned whole "home-style" chicken.

First back-to-back jackpots (red across the top) in quite some time.

Let's keep it going.

Go Bitcoin go... and go Altcash go. Double the fun.

For now.
