I dont know if its bug with the drivers or the 9.8 version of claymore but on about half my machines

the hash rate goes from 28ms or so to 8 and stays there till i have to reboot the rigs

This driver is strange much like the latest official release.  Power use is up a good bit... I raised all the cards in this rig from 105 to 115 and lowered the voltage via bios from 937 to 912.  AB shows 8.88x volts but the power is still high.

https://image.prntscr.com/image/jqtvXR4bSOWDelQcGMk_Vg.png

Screenshot of AB graphs.  This rig is 5x570.  I'm not sure if voltage is wrong or if something else is causing high power usage (which throttles these cards).

Edit:  This was dual mining.  Even on ETH only I'm at like 100w which is +15w or so from the driver I typically use.

I cant even solo mine due to heat issues but this could be related to the issues i see, a permanent throttling of the cards due to higer power ussage than it should be , fans are all and 90% when before i was at 75% temps are up as well

I have to say, the 0810 BIOS is best. I just recently added a seventh card to my z270-p that had a 0610 BIOS and it was crashing every 5-10minutes, updated to 0810 and made the necessary gen1 change. viola, works great.

can we have 8 gpus and the onboard graphics at the same time?

yes
3385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethash DAG epoch RX470/480/570/580 FIX !! on: August 07, 2017, 06:31:13 AM
Anyone here with a R9 280X care to test it out and see if it makes a difference?

I though the eth hash rate bug was polaris only ?
3386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethash DAG epoch RX470/480/570/580 FIX !! on: August 06, 2017, 07:39:28 PM
I heard that the AMD Fire Pro 17.Q3 driver already has the DAG size fix.
You can install it for RX 4xx/5xx without a problem AFAIK.

I tried the latest fire pro drivers and they would not install on a 480/470 box

confimed to work

and with the latest beta version of AB you can adjust clocks and voltage like before

will send .1 eth

thank you

AMD is back!!! suck it NVIDIA lol
3388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethash DAG epoch RX470/480/570/580 FIX !! on: August 06, 2017, 04:43:05 AM
it worked 4 me on my asus strix rx 470 4gb elpedia memory 1850 mhz back to 27-28 mhs was down to 25,5 mhs .... problem is there is no good overclocking tool available vor the newest beta driver tryed the newses afterburner beta 4.4.0 beta 12 but no effect on the gpu drivers and with claymore i can set core speeds and memclocks but the voltage control has no effect in claymore so the crad pulls alot of energy and starts to throttle after 5 mins of mining and then the speed gets slower than with old drivers 16.11.5 cause there i can undervolt.... so for me the new drivers from amd are a step back lol what the hell do they think they are they cant ignore the mining market anymore its damin huge and they make alot of money must feel good for them after years of looses... hehe still nvidia is the king the cards are more durable and stable and you dont need to babysitting them like you have to with your amd cards hehe

yeah maybe if your cards are stock this fix works but not for modded cards with high straps, udervolting is a must on AMD

Batch 3 (Aug 03) 35,000 Units

bullshit. sales were open for ~1hr, that's 583 units per minute. not likely.
yeah probbaly trying to scare ppl off
3390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: August 04, 2017, 06:16:00 PM
D3 Batches.

Batch 1 (July 18)  250 Units
Batch 2 (July 20)  3,300 Units
Batch 3 (Aug 03) 35,000 Units

Source Insider @ Twitter

Now who order on July Batch must be laughing hard... Damn lucky

If 35,000 were sold on the october batch i dont thinking anyone will be laughing  Undecided
how much will that raise the global hash rate
3391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus prime Z270-p on: August 04, 2017, 08:28:59 AM
Theese boards are a little bit tricky but once you get them to work they work like a charm ....
I lost like 3 days to get CARBON board from msi to work with 7 cards ....
yeah same here fuck msi carbon, these ones at least work if you do all the required steps
I returned all my msi carbon boards and pros
3392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus prime Z270-p on: August 04, 2017, 08:04:36 AM
anyone try the 2270-A?

it has 7 slots and two m2s as well

answered my own question it worked, this one actually has two m2 slots so theoretically it could do 9 but im told windows 10 only recognizes 8
i have z270a, 9 cards on linux and 8 cards on Windows, works well.
A guy in YouTube can run even 12 cards on this mobo, i haven't tired.

you could do 8 amd and 4 nvidia on windows right?
3393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Annoying ZOMBIE cards issue when using PCI-E powered risers on server PSU's ? on: August 04, 2017, 07:21:21 AM
I've had similar issues with server psu's and modular psu's working together to power a rig, or powering multiple setups..

Somethings not right with server PSU's when it comes to powering risers. Not sure what exactly; I have setups with and without risers and powering them w/ a server psu sucks ha.

So, I started powering the risers, mobo, and CPU with a 650w fully modular psu..leaving the server psu to do all the heavy lifting with GPU's. Not sure if it's just me.. but switching my power source from server to modular for merely power the risers, solved my glitchy power issue.

I really feel we've had the same issue. Hope this works out for you.

that was my setup as well, but i did not use the modular PSU to power the risers ,  I think it was the motherboard after swapping it out the machine seems more stable no shutdowns, and when i power it off the fans spin on some cards like  @PcChips  said

but they are still detected as normal.
3394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Annoying ZOMBIE cards issue when using PCI-E powered risers on server PSU's ? on: August 04, 2017, 07:20:32 AM
I run a walmart-rack tower of 3 rigs, with 6 PSU's

one of my server PSU's powers cards between two different rigs

I don't have the issues you describe

when the motherboard reboots, yes, the cards stay on, but it still works normally

I swapped out the motherboard for a Asus 270-A one and it seems to not have that issue anymore .... wierd ? It seems the other board was the normal BTC board from biostar.

Maybe an issue with the bios on the motherboard ? I neevr updated that board its like 2-3 years old too.

I will believe it when I see it, but also remember Vega is going to use double the watts of Nvidia, so not really a big deal

not double the watts of a 1080TI

250 tdp vs 300 not that far apart

Did the Bitttrex block BTC withdrawals ?

Nope I withdrew some btc today, thier not blocking anything right now , btc or bcc, but if you try and withdraw or deposit bcc it would take days.

I dont see how you can logically compare btc-e with bittrexx lol ? Btce e had a cofounder who was part of the team that hacked mtgox and stole 700k btc , basically billions then was able to launder it through cash via a btce directley into thier hotwallet which means the owners of Btce were basically his partners and thus complicit

also btce had no id verification or anything and was commonly used to luander btc from the silk road and dark net into roubles or usd.

I can list ten more actions they did that cuased then to be shit down , plus Its a russia vs usa thing going on as well so they were caught up in that as well.

what bittrexx did sucks but you never would have got your bcc there in time to take advantage of the pump in any case , that alone would probably exonerate them from any dumb lawsuit , plus they clearly states that they would credit and btc to bcc on 1 to 1 basis if you got your btc into thier exchange befor July 29

not sure what all the butthurt is about, win some you lose some in crypto, pply whining should have kept thier bcc on the exchange of they wanted to profit, but they chose safety of personal wallets to the exhange its a tradeoff you have to take.  If btc had had a bad fork or huge bugs messed up bittrexx back end etc and ppls btc got lost or stuck the shoe would been on the other foot smh

Hallo Smiley

I'm not sure if we were discussing BTC-E so I'm a bit lost with your reply.

Btw.
You have nothing in your hands against BTC-E or Vinik or what is guys name so I'm not sure what are you trying to say.

Believing USA and it's agencies Huh?
Are you having a laugh or are you considering me being retarded Huh?
lol.
Lol so youre trying to say he didnt do many of the things they said he did, Are you kidding me?
Independent investigators traced the btc he stole from mt gox directly into btce hotwallets? Ive see the blockchain transaction data myself Its public info , they didnt even try and mix it 😂😂

http://blog.wizsec.jp/2017/07/breaking-open-mtgox-1.html?m=1

there is no overarching conspiracy here bro, they laundered money for a hacker and got caught

I'm not claiming anything here.

I'm saying that I have 0 zero null trust in US agencies.

as u should but the us govt is too dumb to have figured out the paper trail themselvs , they are stupid af
when it comes to tech and blockchain in general, they were provided the infomation by independent blockchain analyts and the moved on the intel simply becuase they saw a way to hurt russia, not that they give af about

brining that crook to justice, shutting down btce hurts russians and putins cronies who are in oppositions to the usa's interests btce was simply caught in the crossfire.  Now its a bit harder for easter oligarchs to wash thier money , and the usa and nato gets to steal stolen and non stolen funds , win win for them.

the whole point Im trying to make is what btce and bittrexx did are orders of magnitude in separation
not even in the realm of apples to oranges😂

I have just opened an account with www.cryptopia.co.nz, a cryto-currency exchange based in New Zealand.

I have emptied my Coinbase and Poloniex accounts (bye-bye), and moved them to this non-US crypto-exchange.

I however still need the Bitrex account which for limited use.

This is not an endorsement of Cryptopia but its one of the ones I like most after an extensive research of an alternative crypto exchange far far away from hairy arms of you know who...  Grin
lol you know that Btc-e was a russian exchange right? and they still shut it down
thinking your money is safe on any single exchange is madness, I have 4 different exchanges where I trade and
only keep assets Im actively trading out there.  Cryptsy taught me well 😂😂
