3383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prayer and gambling. on: September 11, 2021, 04:49:50 PM
For a second there I thought this was a topic about putting bets on who's prayers will get answered XD I'd actually go for that. As for praying for results, I doub't God watches the third Iranian women's basketball division.

Sounds sarcastic but true. No matter how and whom we pray to, if it isn't our luck to win in gambling, then we couldn't win it because if prayer is powerful even in gambling, then religious and prayerful gamblers should've been rich now. Gambling has nothing to do with our religious beliefs.

I know many Muslims who pray before important work. Prayer, whether it is asking for something or praising God, is a kind of ritual to lift one's spirit, motivation, concentration and attention. If someone believes that prayer helps them, why not? Each of us has our own religious views and preferences.

3385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: September 11, 2021, 02:27:43 PM
Cheesy LMAO, there is no such thing is "fate" when it comes to gambling or anything period as far as I am concerned.  That's like using the saying "everything happens for a reason".  It amazes me that people literally believe that.  Gambling is two part..both skill and luck, but there is not fate involved. Let's be real here.

You are right, apart from skill in gambling, you also need luck. It's just that some people call it differently - luck, fortune or fate. It all depends on a person's faith. But regardless of who and how they call it, we know that it's just a favorable set of circumstances.  Grin
3386  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 11, 2021, 12:36:44 PM
Corruption is a kind of a hard control mechanism of subordinate people as at any moment an unfit person who has stopped following unspoken instructions can be sentenced to several years in prison and in some countries more severe punishments can be imposed. That is why corruption exists in all countries and absolutely in all spheres of our life. It is just that some countries are more thorough in hiding corruption cases.

We are talking about corruption in sports, and normally our understanding is that what is happening is "sports fixing", some people may not be too concern about it, but for gamblers or sports bettors, this is a big thing as they can use this as their basis on making a decision, and I believe that some sports bettors believe that no sports are clean or safe from sports fixing.

I understand this better than you think) Corruption in sports is not much different from any other. If a sports team, coach or boxer agreed to a fake match for the sake of money, then after that he can be managed as he will do anything not to spoil his reputation. If an athlete is caught in this vicious circle, it is not easy to leave him, because he becomes a puppet. Corruption in sports is punished no less severely than in any other sphere.

I'm just looking at the gambler's point of view as that's the main reason why there's corruption in sports. That's why it's illegal for a player to bet on his game because it could affect his performance and he could intentionally make things that aren't supposed to happen, but since we have a lot of sports bettors who cater bets, even millions of bets, the greediness of the people will always show as that's easy money for them achieved in an illegal way.

This kind of sports rigging is really hard to determine, lots of conspiracy theories that are out, even the most popular leagues but if we look at the numbers of people who got convicted and punished, there are only few.

Are you that naive? If a player is forbidden to bet on his own game, it can be done for him by anyone - brother, distant relative, friend, etc. This kind of restrictions simply do not work.

Track fake matches is possible because the participants make a lot of money on this. You just need to do a lot of work to collect evidence, and this is of little interest to anyone when there are easier ways to catch the corrupt officials.

When I was a student at the university, other guys and I became addicted to playing poker right after class in the same auditorium where the lectures were.  This could be done and no one kicked us out because the employees and cleaners who had already kicked us out had not yet come.  Of course, the stakes were small, but tangible for the students.  And how much joy it was if you won.  Since then, almost always, when I sit down to play poker with friends, I remember those glorious times, carefree and funny.
And this game with friends to students.
This is why I love poker. Smiley

It's a very familiar story. My friends and I were spending our summer evenings playing poker when one of them bought a poker set. How surprised I was that he had spent a lot of money to buy that set. If I'm not mistaken he waited several months for the delivery and when he received the poker set he was happy as a child.

I hope that OP had read what we are saying here and spare his time to analyze the situation.
And there is one thing I could suggest you OP is to take someone who owns a business if you could find a person who is also in gambling much better as this person will guide and educate you to the things that you need to procure before having in real business. It is much better for you to have a business partner that could really teach of what you have to do because this was not easy, that was the truth.

I do not follow this topic closely, but I remember that even on this forum I saw announcements for the sale of ready-made casino scripts + work with existing casinos on the basis of a franchise. I think the last option is very working, given the fact that if this is a real franchise and not a fraud, then for your money you get a complete business model with ready-made algorithms and you just have to follow it instead of learning everything from scratch.

You are absolutely right. Working in a franchise of a well-established company is a great option to start a business not only in the area of gambling. Working in a franchise will provide support for your business during its formation. The main thing in this business is not to run into crooks, and it is better to choose a franchise without additional royalty payments.

I think using Tor is different from using a VPN, although i think using them is considering as using a 3rd party software for location masking.
Using Tor will assure you full anonymity but not to forget that it's somehow hard to be anonymous when using a centralised service with money.
Even some websites seems not taking so much care about users logging in with VPN, an ID verification is expected to happen for a reason or another like withdraw big amounts or deposit money from suspecious source, authorities may ask the platform to freeze your balances until further verification and you will lose your money tough .

The use of TOR as well as VPN can be detected if desired, so it is better to look for gambling sites without the need to pass KYC and any restrictions. In case you use proxied connection, it is important not to forget that depositing large amounts of money is very dangerous and always be ready to lose your winnings.

Completely agree to this.

People need to be a lot more cautious when it comes to playing on sites with a VPN enabled. It might sound like a good idea at the time of playing but once you try to withdraw you may run into trouble if they request KYC and/or ask for a review of your IP address.

Certainly not something you want to risk thousands of dollars on.

Agree to this, and it will most likely result in you being banned. I'm not sure if the website is legitimate or not, but it will most likely result in you being banned. I used to mostly play those new release gambling sites to try out their games, and I usually use VPN for personal reasons, but when it comes to withdrawing your earnings (not all websites), it shows that I am banned from using it or that I am receiving errors, so I believe it is a scam website.

What do you expect if you violate the rules of many casinos? Using VPN or TOR to hide your real IP address if the casino prohibits citizens of your country to play is seen as cheating, so the harshest measures in the form of account blocking are taken. Play only in the casinos that do not require KYC and this problem will be eliminated.

3400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not make curiosity to people around you while you are playing gambling. on: September 08, 2021, 02:40:55 PM
I don't hide from my family that I gamble. If a person hides his hobbies from the people closest to him then he does not trust them and I am a supporter of complete trust in the family. Besides, if I suddenly become a gambling addict I want them to be the first to know about it and help me. The only thing I think it is necessary to protect children from this information because adults set an example for children by their behavior. And this example cannot be called the best.

Lucky you for having a healthy family relationship. Most of the gambling addicts cases are they don't have any good relationship with anyone, that's why they do anything to "lighten" their lives by going easy go lucky, exploring everything (mostly bad things) because people like thrill especially if their life is so miserable and boring, most of them ended up destroying themselves because their mindset is that nobody cares about what they do.

Luck loves patient people and never comes to the one who chases it. In general, I believe that attempts to hide gambling hobbies from the family is a certain manifestation of gambling addiction as a person controlling his gambling activity may well explain his hobbies even if someone looks at this type of entertainment reprehensibly.
