No, now is the time to buy buy buy. The reason you lost money is because you are still thinking with the same brain that says sell! at all time lows and buy! at all time highs. >>>>I bought in as it came on mintpal, @10k sat I hope you didn't sell out tonight during the price manipulation. Whales set bear traps everywhere, who do you think was buying up all the panic seller's coins on the cheap? You aren't selling back to the exchange when you sell in a bear trap (google bear trap) you are selling to another individual. Is that person crazy to be buying up your cheap (and getting cheaper) coins? Or crazy like a fox? If you are panic selling, and someone is willing to buy, guess what, it going to go back up., otherwise why would anyone buy something that is "crashing" lol I haven't sold yet, i feel like selling, I just can't catch a break, I need a good pull off one of my investments, as I want to build a mining rig, guess that's on hold for a while now!

I sussed it: ./configure --enable-opencl--enable-scrypt make
|
|

That sort of worked, but how do I enable scrypt?
Here's the output from my terminal:

How do I configure to mine for a scrypt coin?
I tried ./configure --enable-scrypt
But that just disabled GPU mining?
Sorry for being such a noob, but mining is not an easy task to learn on linux.

|

Why do you specifically want to run on Linux Mint instead of using a pre-configured dedicated Linux mining distro such as BAMT or SMOS?
coz linux mint is my main OS

50% Premine on each coin. Premined coins will directly support ruthless, mass-murdering dictators.
YOU can help support the dictators reign down their supreme oppression by mining! Support a cause!
The 50% Airdrop Takes on a Whole New Meaning!
I've been in contact with all 5 Dictators/"Democratically Elected" Leaders and they definitely love the possibilities that cryptocurrencies bring to their vice-grips on humanity. So this is definitely legit.
Will announce coin launches down the road.
HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: I'm working on a prototype hashing algorithm that secures the blocking using a novel CPU and GPU system that will be installed in NEXT-GENERATION assault rifles. These NEXT-GENERATION assault rifles will be included in the AIRDROP so your favorite mass-murdering dictators can mine while they kill people! These NEXT-GENERATION assault rifles will be calledPEW PEW CHA-CHINGS I'm also taking pre-orders for them!
I'm in!

Ok so Im new here and Im a holder of BC because I liked the positive attitude towards the coin and it seemed like it has a lot of support and loyalty so I was under the impression that it would not sink so easily.
I currently have 41k BC and so far losing faith with all this ridiculous dumping. I swore I would hang on til the bitter end but who is to say this will not wipe out where is all the positive comments coming from and what is backing them up. I don't want to have to cut my losses here and jump aswell but so far it aint looking great lads.
HOLD FAST!! my good man Remember quote this from a very very very rich man “Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful” ― Warren Buffett If you do not understand what this means then go ahead and sell to feed those greedy wallets Awesome quote, I’ll remember that one ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I already set my password, doh!
Then follow Jabulon's post... Help menu=>debug window=>>console tab. Unlock your wallet for staking by entering this: wallet passphrase yourpassword 9999999 trueClear the console history before exiting, for security, because your password is now sitting there in plaintext. Ctrl+L or the red button lower right. 9999999 can be any number you want, it just means how many seconds you want to leave your walled unlocked. wallet passphrase is all one word "walletpassphrase". Thanks a lot mate, sorted now. I have a quick question about the interest, I have 25000 coins, how many coins interest would I earn per year?

Hi guys I liked the look at Black coin, so I bought 25000, I downloaded and installed the wallet, what Do I have to do to start earning POS interest?
Please help a noob out, cheers.
Unlock your wallet and wait 8 hours for your coins to mature How do I unlock, and after the 8 hours do I have to keep it unlocked? It will only be locked if you setup a password, if not, it's already unlocked. Check in the bottom right corner and will show an arrow if it's all set for POS. I already set my password, doh!

Hi guys, what sgminer settings would you guys recommend for my Radeon 6670, here are the settings I use for DRK: ./sgminer -k darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://yourpool.com:1234 -u username -p password -I 18 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 12800 -g 1
Any info would be very helpful, as I need some more SMC and I ain't got any spare fiat toilet paper left to spend, cheers.

I'm currently mining DRK with my Radeon 6670 (not the fastest but it works) ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'll tell you in the morning how many coins I mine with it, I have a funny feeling it may take a while to get the £70 for my card back, lol. I didn't buy it to earm money, I bought it to learn how to mine, as I like to set challenges for myself, this one did make me scratch my head too. I'm currently getting 350Kh with it,not sure if that is good? Ah, then you are like me, and I can guarantee you will learn a lot and enjoy the ride ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thanks, I love letting my inner nerd out ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Tutorial for mining darkcoin on ubuntu 13.10 using ATI/AMD GPUsAfter installing Ubuntu 13.10, download and install the latest AMD driver. Then enter the following at the terminal: sudo apt-get install build-essential git libcurl4-gnutls-dev ncurses-dev git autoconf libtool curl libncurses-dev libcurl4-gnutls-dev -y
download linux opencl driver: http://developer.amd.com/tools-and-sdks/heterogeneous-computing/amd-accelerated-parallel-processing-app-sdk/downloads/ (scroll down to AMD-APP-SDK-v2.9-lnx64.tgz
cd ~/Downloads tar -xvf AMD-APP-SDK-v2.9-lnx64.tgz ./Install-AMD-APP.sh
download the ADL SDK: http://developer.amd.com/tools-and-sdks/graphics-development/display-library-adl-sdk/ cd ~/Downloads/ mkdir adl mv ADL_SDK_6.0.zip adl cd adl unzip ADL_SDK_6.0.zip cp include/*.h ~/sph-sgminer/ADL_SDK [reboot]
cd ~ git clone https://github.com/prettyhatemachine/sph-sgminer.git cd sph-sgminer/ autoreconf -i CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native" ./configure make ./sgminer -k darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://yourpool.com:1234 -u username -p password -I 18 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 12800 -g 1
Hi mate, I returned my graphics card, I bought A Radeon 6670, installed in along with the drivers. I tried to follow your commands but I get an error message saying: cp: cannot stat ‘include/*.h’: No such file or directory Any idea what's wrong? I just want to say, and let me tell you, I've done it myself, you will never mine enough coins to pay for that card. I bought 2 antminers 2 months ago when I first dove into cryptos, and I'll never see my money back on those, LOL. Now, you might be like me and want to learn above all else, that's cool too! But if you want to make an investment, buy some bitcoin, then buy darkcoin, it will be a better investment, but if you're a gamer, the card can be used for that as well, so it's cool. Finally, please someone correct me if I'm wrong, think you still need a 64 bit system to mine dark??? Otherwise, after the above post, another user added this info: If you run encrypted root, you'll be prompted with a framebuffer screen to input your password. Once you install these drivers, framebuffer will fail. It'll just be a blank screen and you'll wonder exactly how fucked you are because nothing is happening. Type your password blind, hit enter, everything is just fine... Sorry, I forgot to note who that was ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Yes, He needs a 64bit system. He stated this earlier: I'm running linux mint 32bit, my graphics card is an GeForce GT 610 It works on a 32bit system, I wasn't aware it was 64 only? I am getting some serious lag with my mouse cursor while it is running, it took like 2 mins for me to move the cursor over the X on the terminal to close it? lol. Anyone have any idea as to why it's lagging my system so badly?
