3381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coin margin or multi asset? on: June 24, 2022, 01:44:34 AM
OP, it's a bear market, if you want to be safe, use fiat/stablecoins. But quickly shift to using Bitcoin during bull markets because your capital grows in fiat-value during price surges, giving you more opportunities to take more and larger trade sizes. BUT if you ask me, just HODL. Don't lose more of your capital by making stupid trades in this kind of market.
Thanks, I understand, but traders do not have to stop to trade in bull or bear market, though traders can hold more of their assets during bull market. What traders are mostly concious about is a less volatile market to make profit, it can be during bull or during bear. Traders always continue to trade, using low leverage is better and having risk management plan.

I see, so it's more like doing cross margin mode but using multiple margin assets as collaterral?
Exactly what I am taking about.

If that's the case then I prefer, the single asset mode, Lol. Imagine the headache on would have to track PnL for unstable assets in case the market was dropping. I would rather swap off some of those assets for USDT, move them to my futures account and the do isolate margin on single asset mode. Whatever profits I would get, I could swap back the USDT to BTC in no time
I understand the risk, the highest margin I use to trade bitcoin is 3x while 1x for altcoin, I am not use to open position with altcoins though. But it will be like I am holding bitcoin while having the opportunity to trade altcoins anytime I want, which is not usual for me because I even mainly open position using BTC/USDT, but I will have the alternative option anytime I want to open position with altcoin, though the risk increase, I understand.
3382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a order a simple order for this case ? on: June 23, 2022, 02:35:06 PM
For assets like bitcoin and high marketcap coins with high trading volume and liquidity on the exchange you are using, you can use market order. Market order means you will be able to buy or sell the coin at available market price so it filled immediately.

I prefer to use limit order, it works like this:

If bitcoin is at $20000 and you want to sell it for another coin, no one will want to buy at a price above $20000, so the trade will only be filled when the price of bitcoin is at $20000 or below because people buy from you at low price. If you want to buy, the trade will be filled at high price, so if bitcoin is at $20000, the order will only be filled at $20000 or a price above if you want to buy.
3383  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: June 23, 2022, 11:18:55 AM
I have some privacy life and some non privacy life, what I have noticed about gambling sites is that they will still later request their customers to do KYC, that is normal, even the ones that are not yet common may not have stringent KYC policies, but as they are getting more known, they are also getting known to the government and they have to comply with AML and CTF rules who makes them not to have any other option than to request for KYC from their customers.

I do not have much funds on gambling sites, just like $100, this makes me prefer no KYC gambling sites, but do not let us deceive ourselves, all the gambling sites will still request for KYC later which makye it impossible to play further on no KYC casino sites, but I will prefer no KYC.
3384  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I need another exchange with multi asset mode on: June 23, 2022, 07:29:14 AM
I can't seem to find the multi-asset mode you talking about in the OKX exchange unless you talking about the Multi-currency margin mode?

I search a bit I tried to check every well-known exchange about these multi-asset or multi-currency modes but it seems only Binance and OKX have these options.
You are right, on Binance, it is called multi asset mode, when I checked OKX, it was on the trading setting and it is called multi currency margin, is it not referring to coins? Maybe I guessed it wrong.

I was unable to enable it, that made me not to know what it is as it requires someone to have $50000 in his OKX account which I do not have.
3385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coin margin or multi asset? on: June 23, 2022, 06:50:35 AM
Not sure what you mean by multiasset
It is just a means you can use more than one coin as collateral to trade, for example, before on Binance, you can only trade using USDT or BUSD to long or short a position of the coin you trade with, but with the multi asset mode, you can use many other coins which can be fiat pegged coins and also unstable coins like bitcoin, ethereum, binance coin, cardano, Solana, USDC and ripple to trade (the ones on Binance). They will be converted to equivalent (and also fluctuating as BTC/USDT pair) amount in USDT which you can use to long or short a position.
3386  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: June 22, 2022, 07:40:02 PM
With what I have noticed, you can access most casinos with VPN, I have accessed https://livecasino.io, Stake and many other casinos with VPN and it works, but if I use it with USA address, it will not be successful in all the gambling sites I have used it, including bet365. This has been what I just noticed, I use service provider IP address frequently for accessing gambling sites and I will not advice you to use VPN either.
3387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government Owned Online Casinos What Do You Think Of Its Potential on: June 22, 2022, 12:10:35 PM
There would be another better reason than the revenue the government are receiving from the casinos that they were not closed down, even if it is the tax that the government rely on and did not close down casino for some period of time, it is not just one casino that were left opened, there are many casinos in Macau

Why would government own a casino, all casinos that I have known are all owned by a single person or through partnership, no government would think of having a casino when the private ones and non government owned ones are a good source of income for the governments.

The government should only look for ways that their citizens will not get addicted to gambling, gambling is only fun and entertaining to people that are not addicted.
3388  Economy / Exchanges / I need another exchange with multi asset mode on: June 22, 2022, 08:52:59 AM
I know there are two account modes in trading on exchanges, the USD-M and the Coin-M. In future trading, if you want to trade some altcoins, you will need to use either USD-M or Coin-M. Example is the use of a stablecoin like USDT for it (USD-M) on many exchanges, but USDT is a stable coin that can be good for bear market, not bull market, unlike the use of unstable coin for it (Coin-M).

If I use the Coin-M, it means you are using a particular coins to trade for its derivative coin in future trading, example is the use of bitcoin to trade for bitcoin to earn more or to lose your bitcoin, or the use of a specific altcoin to earn more or lose the altcoin you have.

This time, I will like all my holdings for trading to be on only bitcoin while I want to trade some altcoins daily. Which means I need multi asset mode. Binance support that successfully, but I recently use OKX too, but on OKX , you need $50000 to activate the multi asset mode unlike Binance that you can just activate it without even having any trading funds on it.

Aside Binance, is there any other exchange you can activate the multi asset mode without having any trading funds on the exchange, or with just having less than $500 as trading funds? I will prefer no KYC exchange.

The holding I am talking about is the coins/funds that I am using for trading, excess are transferred to a noncustododial wallet which I have control over. Do not hold on exchanges.
3389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every "Bitcoin is Dead Headline" is a Buying Opportunity on: June 22, 2022, 08:26:10 AM
People are saying bitcoin is dead? I read on Cointelegragh few days ago that 'bitcoin is dead' on Google search engine reached all-time-high recently or something related to that. But not just that people are saying that, it is the ignorant people that are saying that and this has never been the first time. Even when bitcoin was bullish last year, 2021, could you still believe bitcoin was pronounced dead many times. Those are just people for you.

In this time of bears, the bulls gone bears because they want to become bulls again, but after the bear market, new investors that thought bitcoin was too expensive will also buy, which means more bulls. What had led to many all-time-high.
3390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advancing Bitcoin Mission's (theoretical perspective). on: June 22, 2022, 08:11:36 AM
Bitcoin with a circulating supply of 21 million Bitcoin, with a highly decentralized network that has high privacy that made it impossible for third-party involvement, this made it hard for lost coins to be used in the future according to so many Bitcoin supporters they consider lost Bitcoin as a donation to the rest of other holders because of market value but in the real sense, those Bitcoin become unused and lost forever. If this continues Bitcoin will soon become out of reach to the unbanked who are part of the satoshi's original idea included in the Bitcoin whitepaper, we have billions bits in Bitcoin but how many bits are active or inactive this need, brought me to this conclusion that lost Bitcoin shouldn't be lost forever but rather reused since Bitcoin limited 21 million circulating supply Bitcoin is not enough and have become scarce resources/currency that is reflected in the current price. I like to see the opinion other forum members on this thought.
Bitcoin is decentralized and can be traded even on decentralized exchanges but people are ignorant in a way they are now using centralized exchanges, the centralized exchanges facing pressure from regulation organizations and most of them are now demanding their users to provide identity documents and other things in a way privacy will not continue to exist.

But what  are trying to say is that you have your bitcoin and its privacy, which means you have the sole responsibility to protect it.

Bitcoin can not become out of reach, its price will only increase. The more bitcoin is becoming valuable, the more people will be careful not to lose it.

Most lost bitcoin in the past is because people did not believe bitcoin would become more valuable and unbelievable to them, it even become more valuable than they thought, but they are already careless with the private key of their bitcoin which is lost forever.
3391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on transgender only events? on: June 22, 2022, 06:04:57 AM
It is a question of numbers. There are far fewer transgender athletes in the classic male and female categories. So I wouldn't mind betting on transgender sports, but I doubt there are enough of them in some sports to make them competitive.

Take football, for example. There aren't enough trans people to set up a football league in any country, let alone a top level one, let alone one that can compete in terms of interest with the UEFA Champions League. Or the major national leagues.

In individual sports there may be a little more scope for interest, though.
What first comes my mind is that 'are transgender natural'? Transgender was changed from a male or female to an opposite sex by doctors in hospital in support to the person's willingness to transform into an opposite sex, this should even nullifies them to compete in sport competitions, those that supposed to be recognized should be males and females that are physically fit and also people that are physically challenged.

You are not wrong that transgender people are not many but even if they are many, they should be best be excluded from participation or maybe the world wants to be in support of it. But there are still sport that is meant for not many people that they can participate like in running, jumping, table, lawn tennis and many others.
3392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Coin margin or multi asset? on: June 21, 2022, 07:30:52 AM
Traders can change decision at times, I prefer to use USDT for trading, but this is no more bear time, if it is still bear time, the price downturn will not be so much more significant than what has happened before. This time, I have prefer to use bitcoin for future trading, this can only be by two means:

  • first, the coin margin
  • second, the multi asset

In this period that bear market has lasted for long, which one do you prefer? I thought both are like the same before, that you are still using unstable coin to trade, unlike the USDT or other stable coin margin.

What I noticed recently is that the liquidation price is lower in multi asset than in coin margin. Have you tried both before, which one would you prefer to use when the bull market started? You know that people will prefer not to use stable coin like USDT or USDC to trade because they will want to earn more.
3393  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to buy or wait a little bit ? on: June 21, 2022, 07:23:03 AM
This time is best for btc investment although every time is good but you won't find it at these discounted rates for long once the ship has sailed towards new ATH so if you want to invest then do it without waiting for any further dips as you might loose the opportunity again. But keep in mind to invest the amount you are willing to loose because when we see our savings going down we panic sell which is worse.
How about dividing the investment capital into 2, 3 or 4, though some people have started investing like that since when bitcoin was at $30000, all I believe is that someone should not be greedy and be thinking of high return and because of that invest all, dividing it can be very helpful and profitable. Like me, I have the last investment fund and it is just 20%, I will invest that if bitcoin get to $15000.
3394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why your alt didn't dump as much on: June 21, 2022, 07:13:38 AM
Bitcoin and Ethereum are bought and sold highly with leverage, hence significant movements in either direction can cause liquidation cascades hence the more sort of 'violent' movements. And to add to that, liquidation cascades on DeFi loans with ETH and wBTC as collateral.
When the bear market started, altcoins dropped more than bitcoin and ethereum, bitcoin market dominance even grew from 44% to almost 47%, but I noticed ethereum dropped from almost 20% to 17%. But later which was last week, bitcoin market dominance decreased to almost 44% and ethereum to almost 14%, altcoins did not really drop. I saw coins like Solana increased and altcoins did not really fall, but it was an unusual case. Later, the altcoins also dropped, then bitcoin started to grow from $17500 to over $21000. But this does not change what has happened overall, bitcoin dropped lesser, ethereum dropped more, while altcoins dropped most if you check the all-time-high of each coin and compare them with their present low. Many altcoins habe dropped almost or over 10x.
3395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kucoin vs FTX...which one do you recommend? on: June 21, 2022, 07:03:57 AM
Unlike Kucoin that you can still able to withdraw around 1BTC limit daily without KYC which is big enough compared to FTX.
But this does not mean Kucoin is not a centralized exchange, they can decide to freeze customer coin or seize it or lock customer's account and tell customers to provide KYC documents. You are not wrong that some people can still use Kucoin to trade without being verified but Kucoin havs the ability to overide customers decision because it is still also a centralized exchange.

FTX is for future trading with a large amount of money. Kucoin is for trading any altcoins that aren't listed on Binance. The future trading on Kucoin is really bad, the indicator and function so confusing, not to mention the market volume is so little as well.
If true, FTX has high marketcap than Kucoin, that is one of the reasons, I have preferred Binance and OKX for future trading, I registered on FTX through the mobile app and it was a worst experience for me until I later decided to open OKX when I was looking for another alternative to Binance.
3396  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitcoin roulete on: June 21, 2022, 06:55:29 AM
This seems interesting and fun if you can manage to build it without letting the user create an account to register and just wallet address is enough to make a bet. I saw some of this before which user send the payment on the assigned address and a smart contract will pay the user automatically once his bet win.

Although I can't assure you that this kind of games will attract players since casino nowadays offered a live roulette which is the actual roulette games that we can see in the physical casino.
Let me focus on reality about this, this is gambling, gambling site owners will always want to make more people to know and to register on their gambling site, if you are talking about decentralized gambling sites, it will only be more like decentralized exchanges that have low liquidity if compared to centralized exchanges, though I am not recommending centralized exchanges because it can be hacked and people are not in control of their coins, but just an example.
3397  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is madness. Something super more than DeepSum on: June 21, 2022, 06:34:06 AM
Just look at this screenshot and you know what I mean.
I hope you mean nothing than you want to use this to gamble yourself? Or what are you bringing up?

1. You want to borrow $17,987,638.71 from someone in this forum?
2. You want to sell your strategy/script?
I go for the second option, he wants to sell his strategy script that may lead to nothing but losses.

Take a loan on the bank or used your salary as an initial bankroll then play for yourself. I don't understand the need of selling it while you can benefit from it for yourself if that script is really working?
I will not recommend him to take a loan because it is against the rules of gambling, not even about taking loan alone, but also about not using the amount you can not afford to lose. But I will also say that he should benefit from it himself, if selling it, only a fool will buy it.
3398  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitcoin roulete on: June 20, 2022, 04:33:49 PM
You do not have to confuse people, if you play a roulette with bitcoin, it can be called bitcoin roulette just because you are playing with bitcoin. There are some articles that indicate casinos that people can play roulette that accept bitcoin and such can be called bitcoin roulette. There is no other special thing about it. If you see most casinos on this forum, you will see that they support roulette and they support bitcoin deposit and withdrawal.
3399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Glimpse on Ireland's First Ever Gambling Regulation Bill on: June 20, 2022, 12:00:54 PM
The initiative is meant to help prevent problem gaming
The main gambling problem is addiction. How is the bill going to help addiction? Let us hope it will help to some extent, but I see the best way to help addiction is the help an addicted person get from friends and family around him and also learn that no income, profit and earning can be gotten from gambling. If Ireland pass the bill and become law, there are still other gambling sites that Irish gamblers can resort to.

Any bill, recommendation, and suggestions that are meant to protect the minors are worth and should be supported, a country doesn't want to find out that the majority of its people are very into gambling, it will harm the resources and the reputation of the country if this happens, advertising influenced the choice and daily lives of every individual and by introducing this bill it limits the influence on the fertile mind of the young people..
In fact, every country should have a bill implemented to protect the youth from the influence of these gambling advertisements
It will be better much appreciated if gambling ads on TV channels, YouTube's and social media are not allowed again, but I doubt if this would be possible. Kids and many people are exposed to gambling ads, if the bill are passed and signed and become law and got effective, it woukd help the youths in the country.
3400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: National Sports and Sports Betting on: June 20, 2022, 08:09:17 AM
I didn't have to google to find out that football is the most widespread sport in the world. Of course, basketball is also very popular. In my opinion, cricket, due to the fact that it is the most popular sport in the country with the most people in the world (India), is also watched by a huge number of people.
However, it is about which sport the most people bet on and in this competition, football is the first place, and then for a long long nothing..
I too do not have to Google search it, I know exactly that football is the most recognized sport in the world, it has been what we did argued during my secondary schools days, that was the reason I googled search it to just show how football is the commonest.

Even in my area, if talking about sport, relating it to betting, people prefer to go for football than any other ones. Even if talking about watching sport, the only viewing centers in my country are for only football, that is why the time when playing top soccers leagues do come with shouts in many streets after a club score.
