3383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 28, 2013, 04:47:45 PM

What the what? Why would you need $1000 or $10000 to launch a coin? What does that money even go to?

Hmm.. you know I never really bothered to think about what it would cost.   I suppose a 'real' coin launch should
at least be paying to keep running a web site,  a couple of seed nodes, dns seeds preferred.  Probably should have the later duplicate for a testnet.   May even want to have some testers.   If you don't know how to do any of the skills and have to hire it all out it probably does add up to more then one would think at first.

Now that you list that out, that makes sense. I'm sure he doesn't even know what any of those things are though, except for the website. I think he just bought tens or hundreds of domain names (including nsacoin.com, soccercoin.com, and stuff) if I remember correctly. Now that I'm on that subject, I wonder if he has a list of all of the domains that he bought.

-------------------------------------------------
Also, Vlad, if can you finally answer my question? What purpose does mining serve? Just answer that simple question.

Mining generates coins and helps to keep the network stable/secure.

And why don't you thank me instead of dogging me, if I'm right and you do as I say, board numerous alt coins you too can make millions of a legal govt and bank funded and backed scam. [/b][/i]

I am an idealist and I don’t believe in making millions out of thin air, and I lack respect towards those who do so. Honest people should earn their living by providing useful goods or services to others, and not by cheating on them. And dishonest people are doomed to fail.

And when you say bitcoin is a government scam, do you mean ZOG? Cheesy That would be the only plausible government to be behind bitcoin. Oh, I forgot, you don’t understand what decentralised means, I’m sorry. Never mind, I’m going back to writing my new masterpiece “Quantum Mechanics for Bears”.

What in the world makes you think BTC is decentralized ?

Ever since this..  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=6652.0 .. BTC has become a banker's cashless society wet dream.

What we have today is NOT what Mr. Nakamoto intended.

HT xD

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!

I've screaming from the rooftops that bitcoin and alt coins, digital money is and always has been bankers and all govts wet dream.  And now by coincidence or collusion it's coming true and there's actual real people here who think bitcoin can in no form or way ever be taken over by the US government.   Ahahhahahaaa.

These people have never heard of executive orders which become law that day or national security BS which allows the US govt to do anything it wants.

What clowns, totally clueless of history, economist or politics.

This is why I'm in this - cause all the biggest banks in the world and every form of govt want it to succeed so they can turn us all into a cashless society.

This is why I say with 100% certainty the pros are wrong and Bitcoin will get an ETF.  And then that's when alt coins will break loose.

No probs. Smiley

Those that continue to refuse to see the whole picture are either in a conflict of interest or simply intent on chasing that $100 ( now $80 ) BTC carrot. Now we have the BFL chip credits, asic shares and the chip/ custom board orders, lining the noobs up for another round. :/

Good to see the qt has been fixed. I should be hitting a super block any minute. Grin

And you're such an idealist - you're here mining free money, ahahhahahaaa, is that the honest hard work you're referring to, you honest hard worker you?  Cause plugging in your computer and going to bed and waking up richer overnight for doing ZERO Work and then not even paying a single cent in taxes on that free easy money you did nothing to earn earn out of the thin air you claim to be so against, is exactly the opposite of the phony idealist you're portraying yourself to be.
Explain what mining does or what its purpose is. Show us that your "16 hours per day" is worth something.

One more thing about ZOG and the US not being a world government.

I'm actually not missing anything.  I took a full year of political science in college not cause I needed it, simply cause I wanted a full picture when it came to economics.  Just trust me that it's you missing it all. Many countries right now, including the mighty china are working on a plan for a global currency and the easiest way to logistically distribute and control such a huge change is via a digital currency.

And no, the US alone with a Simple Directive Order would take over and do whatever it wants with bitcoin.  You act as if bitcoin is owned by Russia or backed by something besides a few thousands geeks with weak programming skils.
No, it's owned by no one. It goes beyond any individual country. That's what makes it revolutionary. Explain how a "simple" directive order would take over Bitcoin. You already said that a hard fork would make a government takeover imminent, which shows how little you know about cryptocurrencies. I would say this is a poor use of your daily 16 hours.

If bitcoin want made by the state it would be dead by now.  Another thing you're missing and not me, no country can have a successful currency with a thousand other currencies undermining its own dollar.  But you'd have to stop talking to bears and take some poly-sci classes and some economics classes to start getting the picture.  Or here's an idea, I listen to any programmer here cause I know they know more than me, maybe you should like, you know, listen to educated people with experience when they know a lot more than you about a subject matter.
How could political science teach you about cryptocurrencies and how government could eliminate them? This is untreaded ground. There is nothing like this, and we have yet to see what will happen. Do you understand that an intangible good like Bitcoin is magnitudes more difficult to regulate? Gold is much easier to regulate because people would hold them in banks because it is so unwieldy and in general are much easier to confiscate because of how difficult it is to transport. This is a whole new ballgame, one that the old farts in government know nothing of.

Bitcoin, and its hashpower, have been hoarded beyond repair thanks to their well executed plan which has hijacked this revolution. If the highest levels of power were not involved, asics would not have been given the go ahead and the technology would have been supressed.

ASICs required the go-ahead to be developed? There are Chinese companies making ASICs. Do you really think they asked the CIA for permission?

TMSC is basically a monopoly and Chinese companies make everything anyways. lol..

Did you forget how Sony needed Japanese (in other words US) military approval for the laser(s) used in the PS2/3 ?

HT xD

Are you sure it's not just FCC/CE certification? That's much more typical.

This was a news item/ ad that aired on a mainstream newscast soon after the PS2 or 3 was released. I'm pretty sure it was the PS2.

They must also be the reason why I haven't found a super block... yet. Tongue

Is on http://dmd.minar.cc/ pool still happening to lose 100 or more shares due to stratum communication problem ??

is http://diamondcoin.miningpool.co/ better _ or some other  maybe ? I have two ATI 7950.

is it OK to receive only 10 DMD per day for 1100khs ? this looks way too low  Huh

haven't tried minar.cc , but miningpool.co gives me 0.079 stales and/or rejects.

Your DMD per day depends on current difficulty, it can fluctuate between 8 and 23ish with that hashrate Smiley

This overnight 900 khash solo run shows how random the luck can be. lol

5.5 hours of nothing then.. Grin

3391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin (IFC) pool - Treasurequarry.com . 1.5% fee. USA p2pool server on: July 26, 2013, 12:08:11 AM
Hio Smiley

I switched to cgminer 3.3.0 from reaper and seeing alot of these "stratum from pool 0 requested work restart" messeges.

Help meee .. Grin

HT xD

Hio Hippie Tech, hope you're having a profitably fun time mining at the TreasureQuarry Smiley

From what I've been able to gather, the "stratum from pool 0 requested work restart" messages are normal and occur when someone in the pool finds a share.  P2Pool uses a sharechain in a similar way that Bitcoin and Infinitecoin have a blockchain (more info about the sharechain is in the Bitcoin wiki entry on P2Pool).

According to NutNut in a thead at http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?topic=1762.0http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?topic=1762.0
"The work restarts are just when someone finds a share. It's a notification to tell cgminer to start a new piece of work."

I've set the share target time to 30 seconds for the Infinitecoin pool, so you should probably find these messages occur around every 30 secs on average (shorter if there has just been a big increase in hashrate at the pool whilst the share difficulty adjusts, or longer if there has just been a big decrease in hashrate) .

c1010010, I'm hoping for exactly that!  The thing is, I really do think it's possible in the medium to long term, especially when you think that in 2 years time there will only be 0.015625 coins produced per block, and continuing to half each month.

Thanks for the input but it still seems odd that it happens so frequently and randomly.

Did you mean the network ? The pool is definitely not finding that many shares/blocks. lol

Other than that all seems fine with the graphs and payouts. A top 10-20 block finders list would be nice. Wink

And of course I'm having fun... missing blocks by 1-3K. Cheesy Stay tuned for more high risk var-diff maddess !!

We have been having a lot of problems with the servers over the past few days... If this is the new norm, I'm gonna have to point my miners elsewhere permanently   Cry

I was having trouble connecting until I used the old getwork url and let cgminger/guiminer handle the redirect to the stratum server.

Grin ---> http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332

HT xD

you could save yourself time trying to find tricks to get to a different IP by making it your choice which IP to connect too, there are only 3 allowed right now. It isnt rocket science, if you can type stratum.bitcoin.cz you can type 54.225.117.74 or 54.215.3.101 or 95.211.52.40. It is easy to lead a horse to water pointing this out but u cant make the person understand the simple concept of it.
Name:    stratum.bitcoin.cz
Addresses:  54.225.117.74
          54.215.3.101
          95.211.52.40

What trick ? lol It connected during the first try. Tongue

- start Guiminer
- create new Opencl miner with Slush's
- save settings
- press start

And this was before I saw those IP addys posted.

Don't worry about the horse, it will likely find the water before you do.

Community Poll

Dear Luckycoin Community,

One way to cure the current difficulty fluctuations on the Luckycoin network is to go to the root cause and ask for a suspension or removal of LKY from multipool.in.
My investigations have shown that essentially all the 400MH/s we see after a retarget come from the multipool site.
This measure would give back the real supporters of the Luckycoin network the opportunity to mine their fair share of coins.

Please post your opinion regarding this measure.

Titan

I would make the difficulty 100 times what it would be, if/when the network's hashrate jumps by a factor of x. If we can't have them, then no one will ! Grin

A less drastic measure would be to make the diff retarget, time based and/or sensitive to the total network hashpower in real time.

Both ideas will immediately cut off the parasite's supply of easy blocks.

Or did you mean, 'the adults who like to watch children do it', industry ?

The sooner we get this moral issue clarified, the better the chances are that this coin will survive and become accepted by the community.

Comparing this to fiat is not appropriate because I/we can choose not to mine, buy or use this coin.

If you really mean 'adult', then lets hear it. Otherwise the 79400 SxC I mined will be destroyed.

The Sexcoins can be use for all legal activities .
18+ is a legal adult in most of the countries.

New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Chad, Egypt, Honduras, Kuwait
Lesotho, Madagascar, Namibia, Singapore , Swaziland, United Arab Emirates, Puerto Rico, Zambia
and you feel like destroy your coins please do.

The scum that wrote those laws and those that abide by them, will one day be held to account for their perversions.

And you wonder why 'sex' has its stigmas ?

We don't support any illegal activity with our coin.
Sexcoin is just a coin for the adult industry . We provide the coin .
We don't know how users will use the coin.
Users can do anything with their coins ... we can't control them.
They can do the same with BTC or fiat coins
So please stop talking about the morality of the coin.

3400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC high coins per block! V1.2 Released! Please Upgrade on: July 20, 2013, 08:13:25 PM
Yup.. If you succeed, IFC will eventually become one giant loan payment.

Even if you eliminate interest, the credits, fees and the hoarding will destroy IFC before it has a chance to show its true potential.

Next you'll want to call it the CMF, Crypto Monetary Fund, and use it to impose austerity measures on the miners and pools that do not comply with your standards. Roll Eyes

HT xD

firstly if loans are considered it will be a totally different website  ( I don't really want to do loans snaz31 does )

the most we would be encouraging to save would be 1 blocks worth that's not really hording it ( we will lower that amount as the block size gets smaller )

the savings part is only the first of many projects that will be for IFC once there are quality services for IFC they can only help it  Smiley

the start of this project will be up and running very soon  Smiley

Have fun trying. It will surely fail as anyone willing to trust ANY bank in this day and age, is a fool.

snaz31 also says its ok to sell cheap trust votes and/or forum accounts...  What would his price be on some or all of your savings ?

HT xD

Dude all you seem to want to do is spread around lies and nonsense... Rewarding someone for a great promotion is hardly selling anything but you keep on lying yeah?

Also if you had of bothered to read anything you would know that non of the members coins will be held by us, the coins will stay with their owners at all times. So how exactly will we run off with anything?

Wait, why am I talking to a complete liar again?

For one, that was not a great giveaway because the OP was asking people to return the favor in the form of a positive forum vote. Your quote clearly shows where you stand on this unethical practice.

I'm not going to argue this anymore. Instead of implying that I'm spreading lies/nonsense, you should explain your quote from that givaway.

Gl with your 'project'.
