3381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we would have been nothing without Bitcoin and Bitcoin forum on: April 23, 2020, 08:44:38 PM
Just cast your mind back and try to recollect how you were when you were about to Start with BTC and  the forum:
*we would have been blind and ignorant without them.
*We would have been been deceived by our government leaders to follow their footsteps.
*we would still have been colonial regime
* We would have been poor without Bitcoin and Bitcoin forum

If not anything we are better of among our peers since we do learn a lot, we are able to generate a  lot and we do help a lot through our donations that is why we are been envied.  I know many  will disagree and think we keep BTC and the forum running which is like 90% true.
But the single TRUTH is we need bitcoin and the forum than it need us  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Are you talking about this specific forum? Then, yeah. Did help a lot in development by making it easy to communicated with other.
But no, its not true. Bitcoin still would e a "thing" if this forum didn't exist. There are hundreds of people out there who uses crypto currencies regularly, yet they know nothing about this forum.
Would have been poor without this forum? Lol, what!
3382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: April 22, 2020, 10:22:17 PM
Well, if we will be comparing these two, obviously bitcoin has the upper hand as it is made to take down the bank. With bitcoin, we don't need banks as we are the bank of our own bitcoins. In terms of security, banks and bitcoin have a flaw; banks in their security literally and with bitcoin being used by a human that is still prone from being hacked and put their bitcoins to high possibility of being hacked.
I find it funny when they start dissing the banks when they themselves use the banking system almost regularly (hypocrites). Now, who told you that bitcoin was created to destroy and take down the banks? Look at the people around us and how they are using crypto currencies. Most of them are just using it as a store of value instead of a regular currency. Most of them are using it for making profits. They cash out their profits in fiat! How do you expect bitcoin to take down banks when people act in this way.
Banks can't be taken down easily. At least not now.
3383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xcard a scam? on: April 22, 2020, 09:56:31 PM
What's happening with Xcard? I participated in this bounty campaign and since months ago now everything seem quiet and no one is talking about the project, is Xcard a scam project or a failed project?
Did they stop working before or during the pandemic? If its during the pandemic, then yeah, might be because of the current global issue and they are truly struggling to work for which they decided to postpone development (but should have kept everyone updated). Though I wouldn't be surprised if they never resumed their work again (and is currently using the pandemic as an excuse).
But, if the CEO is a person who is well known and has a strong profile (like others are claiming. I haven't checked myself), then I highly doubt they would be scamming their investors.
3384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: April 22, 2020, 09:47:56 PM
I would vote for dice and lottery. They are the easiest to learn and play. For dice all you have to do is place a bet, roll high or low and just hope that you predicted it right. As simple as that. And lotteries are also more easier to play than dice. You just buy tickets and hope that you get lucky and win the lottery. That's all you have to do - buy and sit tight.
Safest? No gambling game are safe to play. All have risks. If you are talking about a "safe place to play" then try crypto-games. You won't be disspointed.
3385  Other / Archival / Re: Trouble with Coinb.in Wallet on: April 22, 2020, 09:23:52 PM
I have been using Coinb.in and I just tried doing a withdraw with my segwit adress and i can't, i get the following error:

https://imgur.com/a/3VvQTv6

I don't get it.

i can't duplicate the error myself. i'm also not sure exactly what it says in the amount field in your screenshot. the NaN makes me wonder if it's a format or character type issue.

you might browse their guide, although i don't see reference to that specific error.
Yeah the NaN does make it look like a formatting error.

Bitcoinermatt, are you copy pasting your total balance? Have you tried manually inputting the withdrawal amount? If not try that  after refreshing the page.
If the problem still exists, try doing a hard refresh (hold ctrl and then click the reload button or hold ctrl and press f5).
Make sure you have enough btc to cover the transaction fee.
3386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Become Negative in Value? on: April 22, 2020, 09:04:02 PM
Not really. It can't end up being on a negative value, since you won't be incurring any loss or you do not have to spend anything to store your coins. I am not surprised that you have never heard of negative pricing. Let me explain it to you on layman's term. The demand for oil fell due to this pandemic. But, oils are still being pumped at the same rate. Now, they are no longer being able to store those extra oils. Again, storing is also costing them a lot. So, they are giving away their oils and paying to get it off their hands. Now you might be thinking why don't they just shutdown their operation and stop pumping all those oils, right? Well, terminating and restarting everything is going to cost them a lot more!
I am sure you have heard of negative interest rate. That's another interesting topic.

3388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Online Gambling Charity Fundraiser for Covid-19 Donation on: April 18, 2020, 03:53:47 PM
It's a welcome development and I encourage every other crypto related gambling platforms out there to follow the footsteps of freebitcoin. This is a very troubling time and we all should do what's humanly possible to assist those risking their lifes to save the lifes of our loved ones and other. I haven't come across any other gambling sites doing this and I must applaud freebitcoin for initiating this in the cryptocurrency community.

Some additional benefit of this kind gesture is that, it'll also help promote both the gambling platforms and indirectly promote bitcoin (cryptocurrency) to the masses in need of assistance.
Yeah there are some casinos that are doing at least something for fighting against the current virus. Check this post over here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236789.0). CryptoGames is encouraging people to join folding@home and contribute to science to fight against covid19. There are rewards for those earn points as an incentives. You can also directly donate your rewards. Join them Smiley.
3389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: April 18, 2020, 03:46:42 PM
In my own opinion, it is fine for me to play in a crowded casino. The only problem that i face playing in a crowded casino that every chairs are occupied and it is pretty hard to move and to play in your table because it is uncomfortable for me if a lot of people is watching, that is why i mostly go home if i knew that the casino is crowded.
You are saying its going to fine for you to play in a crowded casino but then you say you feel really uncomfortable. Then why will you be choosing to play in a crowded casino, like the one given in the image. Why even do something that will make you feel uncomfortable. Look at the picture again, there isn't even enough space to breath properly, let alone play some games.
3390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline cryptocurrency transfer? on: April 18, 2020, 03:32:05 PM
Sending crypto currencies to another user using messaging service sounds bullshit. From what I understand is that the exchange (which I never heard of) will have access to your account balance and everything. Once you send crypto currencies through SMS (you will have to send it to a user having an account in that exchange and has their phone number associated with it), they receiver will receive the coin in his exchange wallet. This sounds really impracticable and security wise, not safe/secure at all.
3391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 18, 2020, 02:57:01 PM
How many times one can loose all his trading accounts before really start trading and earn.
I have lost 5 times some small accounts (less than 100$)
And one little big account (400$) in trading.
How many times? - You will never know. If people ended up "making" no loss at all after few tries, then we would be seeing lots of  rich people right now. Trading does not mean that you will be making guaranteed profit. All you can do is reduce your losses, when you see that you might make some loss by managing things properly.
If you are not being able to make profit after several tries, then I guess you are doing something wrong. Try to find out your mistakes and fix them before you go bankrupt!
3392  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opportunity to win with btc and ltc on: April 18, 2020, 02:12:18 PM
Yeah and if you look at their TOCs, it is updated last January 2020. Huh
I am inclined to believe that they plagiarized this whole thing from another legit casino.

Yup, its January 2020 because they forgot to edit the date when they copy pasted the whole Terms and Condition from Bigacasino (https://www.bigacasino.com/en/termsandcondition). Bigacasino itself is a scam casino. Did a quick search to know more about bigacasino and looks like they are in the "blacklist" spot for being a fake casino. So it is safe to say that XMcasino is also made for scamming people. Would be hilarious if someone signed up over there, gave their identification documents to them for just 5 bucks lol.
3393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive Bitcoin Sextortion Scam Emails Sent to U.S Users - DON'T PAY on: April 18, 2020, 01:53:06 PM
Sextortion is defined as:[1]

Quote
The practice of extorting money or sexual favors from someone by threatening to reveal evidence of their sexual activity.

I don't think it is a sexual activity watching 'adult' web sites. If this is the kind of threat they are giving, I don't think somebody crazy will fall for it and actually pay that huge amount in BTC. And sharing that alleged video of myself randomly with my friends is not threatening either. Well, we have probably watched a lot of those 'adult' web sites together. They won't be surprised anymore. LOL!

[1] https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/sextortion
Your definition says that sextortion means extorting money by blackmailing them about their sexual activity. If you read whats written on that email, you can clearly see that the sender is trying to sextort the receiver.
It says that he has been recorded through his webcam (which indirectly implies that he has been  "touching himself"  Roll Eyes while watching porn), and will reveal those videos to his friends. So, yeah it is a kind of sextortion.
And, someone random watching you through your webcam and knows who your friends are isn't threatening? Wow, good for you.
3394  Economy / Gambling / Re: Proof that Freebitco.in game is not provably fair. on: April 17, 2020, 11:40:04 PM
I don't why anyone would play at Freebitco.in. They used to be a faucet if I remember correctly. And then I think they started providing lottery where people could use their faucet winnings to buy lottery tickets. Gradually they introduced dice or probably came with lottery, not sure.
Anyway, why would you even go and play there when there are lot of other well known casinos? Look at their house edge. Its a total turn off. There are casinos that provides house edge lower than 1% (crypto-games.net has like around 0.8% house edge). Play over there, you have better chance of winning.
On freebitcoin there is a sportsbook where you can bet on many events.
Does crypto-games offer that feature?
No, but the original poster was talking about dice game so I suggested him to play at crypto-games if he wanted a provably fair well know casino with very low house edge ( unlike freebitco.in where the house edge is more than 2% I think. Don't remember / can't find the house edge being mentioned on their site anywhere). Playing at freebitco.in is very risky. Why play dice at a casino with a very high house edge? You are trying to say that you should play dice at freebitco.in because they have sportsbook? lol.
3395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Need a Catalyst to push up prices on: April 17, 2020, 11:16:49 PM
What altcoins need is BTC pushing above 10 thousand dollars or better reaching ATH. If Bitcoin goes to new highs so will altcoins and this is going to be the best catalyst for their rise.

People who invest in Bitcoin and see their investment go through the roof will feel more relaxed and more secure investing some money into unstable altcoins that most people treat like gambling bets.
If people see the price of bitcoin rising, they would go and invest on bitcoin instead of invest on altcoins. This has happened a lot of time. When the price of bitcoin starts to increase, we can see that most of the altcoins starts to lose their price. This happens because people starts to dump their altcoins and start investing on bitcoin. As more people shift from altcoin to bitcoin, the price of altcoin starts to fall, whereas bitcoin starts to rise further upwards. Though eventually at the late phase, when bitcoin has already peaked, the prices of altcoin starts to rise too, since people tend to buy back the coins they have sold but this time in cheap.
3396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the first reason why fraud projects are increasingly rampant? on: April 17, 2020, 11:11:42 PM
I always complain about ICO projects not just because of rewards? but because of the increasingly rampant project fraud!

on the other hand the first reason why we find it difficult to know about fraud projects or not, because almost most ICO projects look real !!
and this is very unexpected, that there is a site that offers services to create an ICO project complete with ERC20 Tokens!
with only $ 50 a person can make millions of dollars from the results of fraudulent projects HuhHuhHuh

https://www.fiverr.com/wedowo/create-your-ico-website-and-erc20-token

imagine if this continues, then the rich will increasingly become rich !! scamers
Let me honest over here. People complain only when they don't get their rewards or manage to make profit. I bet most of the people wouldn't even care if a project was scam or not as long as they got their share of profit. They wouldn't careless if the project did not proceed forward and abandoned as long as they managed to sell their tokens to cash out their profit. This is not about the project for them, this is more about the money they will be making.
If a person gets scammed because investing on those shitty project, then good. At least they are going to learn a lesson now.
3397  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in profit cap on: April 17, 2020, 10:39:38 PM
Dear all,

I was wondering if there is a cap to the profit one can make on Freebitco.in, for example with multipy btc or betting. The same question can be asked in a different way, i.e. is there a cap to withdrawals on Freebitco.in?

I hope my question was clear.

Thanks in advance for your help!
If you are talking about max profit cap in one single bet, then yeah, there are such limits. This limit is usually based on the house bank roll like 10% of it. The higher the bank roll, the higher will be the max profit. This is done in every casino so that no user can wipe out the house in one single bet.
If you are talking about withdrawals, then no there should be no cap when withdrawing your profit. Though if its a really big amount, then your withdrawal will depends on if the hot wallet can cover your transaction.
3398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 17, 2020, 10:00:20 PM
For example, I heard lot that P2PB2B is one of the bullshit exchanges because it has fake volume, but why on coinmarketcap can in the top 3?
Whereas on Coingecko P2PB2B is ranked 114, Does coingecko know if it's bullshit exchange? so it's not in the top 3 like in coin marketcap

So which one do you trust more?
I guess both uses different kind of criteria to rank the exchanges, that is why you can see that each exchange is at different rank on different site.
The best thing to do is not to trust any sites blindly. Do your own analysis on the exchange before using them. Just have an excellent rank does not mean that they are the best. Use the forum if needed. Check for peoples review over here. Look for reviews from users with good reputation on the site. There are lot of users that will shill for an shit exchange.
3399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fastest Dice site? on: April 17, 2020, 08:34:46 PM
Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know from your experience or knowledge which site has fastest rolls on small stakes? I'm betting with Seuntjie's Dicebot and let's say I have 1 LTC, and my script starts with bet of 0.00000001 LTC, which site would support this fastest?

I know, you don't need to tell me that faster it rolls, the faster I will lose balance and similar. I am aware of that.

Currently I play at Stake and it runs around 2 bets per second. I know Duckdice has pretty fast rolls, but it requires high starting stake.

Thanks.
Sure the number of bets you can place depends on the casino limit, but remember, it depends on your internet connection too. The lower the ping/latency is to your server, the faster your bets will be. No mater how fast the server can accept bets, if you have a bad connection, you won't be able to utilize he maximum speed.
If you are looking for a casino that allows you to place fast bets, try crypto-games.net if you haven't. We have excelling bet speed per second and if you play on Mondays, there won't be any limit on dice bets that can be placed per second!
3400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right mindset needed for all traders on: April 17, 2020, 06:24:41 PM
Almost all of these things come exclusively with experience. They cannot be transmitted verbally or taught. You can show and explain to people how it works,
but they will understand this only after they get into the above situations and go through them. The more conclusions they make on each situation, the more progressive their growth will be.
Exactly! All those points the original poster mentioned does not apply for everyone.  He ended up generalizing everyone. Emotions and habits does not act the same way in everyone. You will need to have experience first before you start trading. This way you will get to know what are your problems and how badly it is affecting your trading. You will also make mistakes while trading which will help you learn!
Now if the person does not want try to "fix" his problems and mistakes, then that is a whole different story.
Are you aware that our financial IQ is composed of 90% emotional brain and only 10% of our rational brain. It means that our emotions have great factor especially when it comes to investing. There are 2 main emotions in the market, it is greed and fear. There are people who have this two whete they cannot fully control their emotions that makes them to lose in a trade. We should remember that trading psychology is also important and we should consider it.
If you read my post again, you will see that I never mentioned anything about emotion not being involved in trading. Yeah, I know emotion does matter a lot when it comes to investing and trading or taking any financial decisions. What I am trying to say is "these emotions (psychological effect)" different people in different ways.
Original poster talks about discipline, planning, flexibility and so on. One needs to "experience" first before they can bring out those perfect plan, patience, positive mental attitude etc.
