3381  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial freedom and success comes from knowledge on: July 23, 2021, 06:24:57 PM
A great success really comes from knowledge and Knowledge comes from education and experiences.  Knowledge can sharpen your problem. solving skills,  will make you effective and can make you wise in making decision. To be successful and have financial freedom, you will encounter lot of problems, failure and  disappointments but you can gain useful knowledge in it and if you enhance that new knowledge it will make you more wiser that leads to a great success.
Financial freedom is not just invested through knowledge but with time and effort too. You can never attained the state of financial freedom without hardwork and perseverance aside from your knowledge that you equipped yourself.

And with the appearance of covid 19, it encourarges us to become more knowledgeable on managing our finances so we will be able to sustain all our basic needs despite of the fact that this covid 19 is a big barrier to earn more money rather than spending it. Luckily, crypto was here to help us to get through with this pandemic.
3382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have patience to count from 1 to 100? on: July 22, 2021, 10:05:24 PM
What I believe is that history always teaches us properly, but we don't actually get it. The Cryptocurrency market will make bullrun again in 2-3 months. So we should wait patiently until the next bullrun. I'm praying to get another payment in a few weeks, so that I can invest in my favorite coins.
There's no point in investing if we can't be patient l enough because if we will be totally affected whenever dumps bound to happen and resort into panic selling, then we will get losses in the end.

I chose to hodl my investments whatever it takes. But if i see no profits still in a long term, then that's the time i will think of other alternatives to make my crypto investments work.
3383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will everyone still believe in Elon Musk? on: July 22, 2021, 09:01:06 PM
It is not possible for everyone to believe whatsoever he has to say about bitcoin because we have different opinions about the subject of discussion. The fact is that there will be a percentage of people who are in for whatsoever he says, agree or disagree with some are neutral and some are always. The choice of believing him lies on each individual
There's no wrong if one believes in Elon because we have our own choice and beliefs. And if you agree with the thoughts of Elon, then its your choice to follow him.

For me, i chose not to believe with Elon anymore because i think he is just taking advantage on the crypto market making himself very selfish just for financial gains. He's more of a kid playing with bitcoin and once he finds another toy, he will leave it dumping making all other investors to feel worried about.
3384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 22, 2021, 01:42:10 PM
This might be a tough fight for Pacquiao with his age vs the young Errol Spence Jr with a 27 win with 21 KO well this is gonna be interesting match we will see if Pacquiao still can stand against new and young competitors it's nice to see him fight until now, is there an odds already for this match?
His age matters for many fans but I still see him in good shape and I don't think it will be a hindrance with this match.

It's going to be experienced versus toughness and strength for Spence. Well, I still think that Pacquiao is going to get this match after all but I'm not belittling or discrediting the records and experience of Spence Jr.

It's simple, just forget about his age now and remember how he beat his young opponent in his previous fight. I don't understand why some experts really target Manny's age as his weakness when in fact in has not anymore lose in the past fights. They can't believe that Manny is just too rare, he is a legend and he is special, no boxer could beat him now.

But as we discuss he's aging now and its dangerous for him to fight young fighters since he may suffer from serious injury if Spencer hit him up harder. Although we know he's legendary but for the fact that his mind is not in focus totally in boxing maybe we should be worried about his incoming fight, his opponent is young and have power to knock off his enemy. I hope Pacquiao will win this fight since this coupd add on his legacy as a legendary boxer.

He understands that he is old but his body is still fit to fight and receive heavy punches. The problem is, we are too concerned with Manny getting injured in the fight but he is just smiling when ask about the fight, meaning he himself knows he can handle the punch of Spence and he can beat Spence.
3385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 19, 2021, 08:58:15 PM
At every point in time, I always budget my money at the start of the month and that is 1% of my income to gamble with, I will never exceed this budget no matter how tempting gambling can be sometimes this has to help me manage my gambling spending.
In cases like this self dicipline is primarily the guide to risk management in gambling options. Once there is proper risk management and you adhere to your set budget then you would succeed in managing your funds but the moment greed sets in you loose control of your emotions and become too addicted to the point of loosing out your total budget for a month.

The reality is, it's hard to win in gambling but it's easy to lose money without discipline. People are greedy when they have high target profit but with a small bankroll, the moment they become unrealistic, they'll lose without noticing and they keep betting until everything they have will be wiped out. Maybe we are inspired by people who make a living in gambling, but we should understand that they have decent capital to achieve it.
3386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: July 19, 2021, 08:34:49 PM
I can't remember if I played, but I have a feeling I played this game before because I love to explore. But, I'm sure I have not won a lottery yet in any crypto gambling platforms, maybe my time will come in the future, I'm hoping it will. The lottery could give us a lot of winning, but according to experts who made a study, we are just throwing our money in the toilet bowl every time we bet, so I would just choose a game that I will enjoy and try to bet on high odds if you know what I'm saying.
3387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 19, 2021, 07:51:40 PM
@mirakal thanks for sharing the good news, last time Romeo was not able to finish the season because of injury, and now he was injured in their very first game lose, it will be another disappointing season for him if he got a serious injury problem. SMB needs Terrence energy in the court to win, though they got JMF back already he is still not playing with his average minutes when he is healthy, so they need someone to step up.

CJ Perez also has to step up his game, though it's different from his previous team I'm sure he can adjust.
3388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 19, 2021, 07:30:32 PM
Are there still people thinking that Suns can win the NBA finals ? In my opinion, they ran out of gas guys. They don't have the same pace on their game style so it's kinda normal for them to start losing games. Also , can we really appreciate the fact that both Giannins and Kris are in a monster form ?

I simply cannot see Suns having a chance to stop them and therefore I will cheering once again for Bucks to take the W of the series.
I am. It's not that they don't have the same pace as before. The speed is still intact but the Bucks got used to it and that's why they won 3 games in a row.
I am a Suns fan before with Steve Nash on the line-up and so many good players. Maybe that's why I want them to win this time.
This may also be the best year for Chris Paul and he may never have the same chance next year to win a championship for it might be for another team who will recover from their injuries.

Suns just need to win game 6 and they could still the momentum.

Right now, the favorites are the Bucks, according to one of the sportsbooks I'm using, the odds for NBA winner are.

Suns x 4.05 and Bucks x1.24

Finals MVP odds

Giannis 1.23
Booker 5.5
Chris Paul 7.5

Honestly that is some pretty good odds on the Suns right now that might be worth a punt.  If they squeeze out game 6 they should be the favorites to win it all then.  And on top of it throw a bet on cp3.  If they win the next 2 games it's going to be due to cp3 leadership bringing this one home.  Very tempted now.

Worth taking a gamble, I tried to parlay Suns ML in game 6 and CP3 winning the Finals MVP but unfortunately it's invalid in my sportsbook. I was just trying to get good betting odds but it's not allowed, so I might just add another league to my Finals MVP to create a parlay.

Suns winning by 6+ points in game 6, this one also has nice odds.

3390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 19, 2021, 01:12:21 PM
~

The government taxes are not really hurting the rich people who can always afford to go to casinos because they have spare money for this, but for average guys like us who just want to have the experience to play on casinos it will be costly, but it will minimize average joe's going to these casinos, there are countries that are so dependent on casinos that they provide everything on that country like Macau and Las Vegas, casinos are the best cash cows of many countries because like prostitution is one of oldest profession and vice.
It does hurt, they just don't tell it, I mean if it doesn't hurt then why go to the lengths or bribing/lobbying these politicians to have their tax contribution much lower and sometimes even zero, they know that if tax is left unchecked, it could take away a really big chunk of their already big paychecks.

Poor or rich, both are required to pay taxes, rich people sometimes just don't feel it because they have a big income and they are good in managing their funds.  The point here is, if you are good in managing your income and expenses, you'll end up profitable, and it's also about the mentality of a certain person, rich and poor doesn't have the same mentality, that's why they are on a different situation.
3391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 19, 2021, 12:54:46 PM
He can still perform well, there is no doubt with that, and as you see with those training videos that have been spread online. He's still at his shape and if there are any changes those are just minimal for his boxing career. But there's no question that he's still going to perform well whether he lose or win for this upcoming match against Spence, we're sure that he's going to give all of his best. He don't want to make the same mistakes as he did before and he's an experience guy. He won't throw himself into a match if he knows that he's not going to perform very well.

Have you seen the odds that bookmakers put up for this match? Bets on Pacquiao's victory are accepted with odds of 5.2
, which means that few people believe in such an outcome. By the way, we must take into account that many fans bet on him simply because they love and believe in him, bookmakers take this into account, which means Pacquiao's real chances are even less.

There's no 5.2 odds, the odds now are around 2.70 to 2.80 for Manny Pacquiao, what bookies are you looking on that 5.2 odds? I would gladly put a good bet on Pacquiao to win this match. Maybe he is an underdog, but if you based on their record, we can easily tell who has the biggest achievement in boxing so far.

Undefeated versus an 8th time division world champion, I would go with the latter.
3392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 19, 2021, 11:50:38 AM

That thing is an increase in many countries because many of them are desperate in waiting for the end of this pandemic but unfortunately, the pandemic is not going to end soon. Once they become addicted to gambling, they can easily think about a quick way to end the addiction and think about suicide or commit a crime to have money. If they can not do anything, suicide will be their way to end their lives.

Sad true, there are people who got addicted into gambling end their lives thinking that there's no other way as pandemic also hitting them up.

Gambling addicted person no longer think properly, when they already engaged the only thing that kept inside their minds is on how to continue playing and how to earn quickly from this venue.

but most of the time, instead of earning they ruin their lives and it in some cases, their ending it in this kind of sad way.
They never think about the other solution to end the addiction because they feel too worried about what happened to them, so they tend to end their lives. I wish their family is not too late to know what happens to their one family member so there is no suicide because of gambling addiction.

Hopefully, people will know that becoming addicted person to gambling will give them the worst situation and stay away before it is too late.

Ending your lives because of gambling, I think that's too stupid, that's being coward that one cannot accept losses. You already have a mental problem if you even think of ending your life because of a small problem. From the start, we should already know how capable we are to manage our emotion, if we are weak, then we should resist gambling at all cause.
3393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 19, 2021, 11:28:52 AM
I don't usually bet on friendly games for the reason that the better team might not play on full potential so the underdog could win, it's nice if it will be like that all the time as you can easily predict the winner, but sometimes the better team also plays hard so it's hard to guess using the statistics and past games results.
3394  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid lessons learned know when to finish on: July 18, 2021, 09:59:41 PM
everyone will have a lesson from each other as well as the price of BTC increased before the covid epidemic became severe and those they sold before was a right action, there were also some who did not sell and they became loss , as did some investors from years ago who invested in ponzi schemes and learned their own lessons about the ponzi market . Everyone will have different situations and lessons, that's my opinion.
This pandemic will definitely leave us lessons that will help us to be more wise in the near future. With crypto that comes to survive from this pandemic and is even doing great things despite of lots of businesses that failed, i hope everyone will come to realize particularly the government that bitcoin has a lot way to offer especially in this most crazy times that will be very profitable in improving the world's economy.
3395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past two months bitcoin journey on: July 18, 2021, 09:46:49 PM
I am away from my home working in an office and it is hard to manage both work and house at the same time for me as i came late from office. So most of the time I order food online say 3-4 times in week and was happy with that until the point i realised that i was wasting lot of money on junk food. So i decided to have my future plans as i was already investing in bitcoin so i decided to reduce my weekly budget for ordering online food and decided to invest that money into bitcoin despite the prices and just go on investing till the time being. But i made a plan that every time i would add on the fixed budget of $10 extra to btc investment and from next month increased my intial investment by $10 also. For example say my weekly budget or food expenditure was $40-$50 weekly on my 3-4 order i would reduce it to half and say invest $25 weekly and next week it would be turned to $35.Along with this I was also planning to buy some gaming stuff for my time pass but i dropped that idea for the same reason and decided that i would keep on investing in bitcoin only not any other altcoin also .So this was my plan and investment was done every week.

1st Month Investments

Week     Investment    Bitcoin aqquired       At price

Week 1: $25                 0.0005                   $49150.53
Week 2: $35                 0.00094                  $37002.44
Week 3: $45                 0.00114                  $39294.20
Week 4: $55                 0.00147                  $37575.18

Total 1st month bitcoin investment in my portfolio stood at : $160

How much btc were bought:  0.00405

2nd Month Investments

Week     Investment    Bitcoin aqquired       At price

Week 1:  $35                 0.00093               $37345.12
Week 2:  $45                 0.00117               $38347.06
Week 3:  $55                 0.00163               $33723.03
Week 4:  $65                 0.00185               $35040.84

Total 2nd month bitcoin investment in my portfolio stood at :  : $200

How many btc were bought:  0.00558

Total Bitcoins aqquired with $360 = 0.00963

I have doing this from past two months now and planning it to carry on for long time as i know that my returns will be high in long run and my wasting that money on my food items would have given me happiness and relaxation for few time but this investment at this time would be long lasting and give me pleasure and joy for lifetime. So I decided to compromise my that things for bitcoin investments as it will surely have more value in future when every other assest will be depreciated with inflation but my this investment will prove worthy at that time.

Speaking frankly I was happy at this dip as i was getting big share at small prices and they don't even matter for me because i was not into trading and my sole motive was to invest and hold for long time no matter what the prices are and will be.I have decided to follow this plan for atleast 6 months and will keep posting the updates on this thread. So i am constantly reducing my miscellaneous expenses and allocating that funds towards bitcoin and i will not panic with any price dumps and afford to loose that money(but it will not happen as i am optimistic) and will hold that coins until i need to use them.Till then my 6 months chart is on for investments  Wink

As I congratulate you, I also express my gratitude. This is a very good investment idea and habit. From your article, you can see that your mentality is very good and it is worth learning and learning from. In fact, many times we need to continue to summarize and review, clarify the plan, and stick to it. Hope to see your posts one after another, this will be a wonderful thing, come on, brother, I will follow you.
This will help especially newbies to follow your method in acquiring bitcoin sucessfully even in a slow manner. This is a slowly but surely process because everything comes up from your plan.

I realized that no matter how small you started your investment, as long as you know how to take things in a positive way consistently, you will really get there in your destination even how long will it take.
3396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next better altcoin? on: July 18, 2021, 09:13:09 PM
If you really want to invest in crypto then don't look new coins or projects because it's risky especially you are new in this industry. I recommend to invest in the top coins in the market like bitcoin, ethereum, binance coin, polkadot, cardano these coins are good for long term investments.
That's right, because those who are still very new to the crypto industry, obviously have to choose the already popular ones over the new ones, because the ones that are already popular are less risky and have greater potential, so your advice is very good to be followed by those who are still beginners.
There's no wrong investing in new altcoins as long as you know its history and how potential it is to the market and to the crypto community. But if you want to take less risks without worrying much on the outcome of your investment, then invest on the most trusted coins like bitcoin and ethereum. Old coins may seem to be more profitable than most of the new coins and these new coins are probably the copies of the old coins.
3397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: July 18, 2021, 08:46:44 PM
I think one thing is for sure if someone is still loosing money in cryptocurrency investments, it's a lack of research upon doing what is and what's that throughout his investment. He doesn't know any single thing on what he's going to invest such that he only chooses coins or alts that he hopes it could give him a good profit in the future, then in the long run it cannot give him any profit and by that he tries another opportunity similar to that. Repeating cycle to lose for investment.
This is one of the main problems with those people that call themselves investors but that do not do any of the things true investors do, an investor that actually does his job knows beforehand if the asset in which they are investing has any chance of becoming profitable as they made an extensive reached about the projects in which they were interested, while most people never do anything like that and just hope they selected the right project which is a bad idea taking into account the number of projects that are scams in this market.
Some investors too easily believe in their own instinct so they jump easily into buying altcoins without even doing a good research first. This mostly ends up into losing. While other investors too also believe from the advices of others because that certain advice works for them but when you do it yourself, you still end up losing. This just means that the thing that might work for others might not work for you so better DYOR in everything we do.
3398  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies replace fiat currencies on: July 17, 2021, 09:57:27 PM
I don't think there is a chance that cryptocurrency will replace fiat money. I do believe that the government may create their own digital currency that is based on the fiat and also a centralized currency. Government wants to take control of it but in bitcoin there is no a group of people or a person who has a control of bitcoin so I don't think that it will happen if they replaced fiat with bitcoin or other crypto currency.
0% chance but there are crypto supporters that do really believe that crypto could replace fiat without thinking up the considerations or factors needed before it would really become mainstream.
Thinking of first that as if government would really let this thing to happen? No they wont. Centralized things will always rule in the end and crypto would really be just ending up to
be an alternative and theres no really chance for bitcoin or crypto could replace fiat currencies and we do already have some CBDC's been existing or even that
Digital Yuan and wont be surprised if there ould be more in the future.

Bitcoin will eventually reach the point that will be accepted and legalized by the government but it will only be an option to the existing fiat. If fiat will be totally replaced, the government will definitely be against it.

In the near future, we will have two currencies that will be used globally and if you chose to be more convenient with online transactions, then you can use bitcoin but if you want physical transactions, fiat would likely to be used. Maybe by that time the high volatility of bitcoin will not be an issue anymore.
3399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to Bitcoin in 100 years? on: July 17, 2021, 09:40:31 PM
Bitcoin network may not die in the next 100 years, but there will be new innovations that can compete with Bitcoin in the future because no one knows today's young generation can become a scientist who is able to create new, more modern innovations.
I hope so but we can't assure everything as 100 years of existence had someetthing to think about huge changes may happen on the market or there are other innovations that may happen. I know that we are all in wild guessing knowing that we can surely witness what really be going to happen in the future. However, we are still optimistic about its future and that can help to boost the market even to stay more years and the adoption continues.
100 years for bitcoin might be too far to predict things. Let's just say bitcoin will be fully adopted as a currency or maybe replaced by something better. We can't stop that as more digital coins will emerge soon but one thing for sure the bitcoin history will not be forgotten.

Even if new digital currencies will replace the whole crypto market, it will always be a copy from bitcoin or any other potential altcoins. People will change so definitely they will also have different picks for crypto.
3400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: July 17, 2021, 09:18:36 PM
Panic can breed uncontrollable emotions resulting in always losing trades, anyone should be prepared to take market risk because if you keep holding them in tokens/coins during market dumps then there is nothing to lose unless you trade them for stablecoins or withdraw them to orders.to stable coins or withdraw it to fiat.
Yes, that is a way of dealing with panic that can happen to everyone when the market starts to fall, because every human's instinct is to always be afraid when he starts to lose, even though he doesn't show it, but in his heart there is still fear.
Panic is a normal feeling to everyone and this gonna be hard to control. That is why this becomes a huge challenge knowing that controlling our emotions is not so easy and simple. We can tell ourselves so easy but when you do this in real life, there you can find how hard it was.
But, if we have a positive mindset and we have the fate of what we do, this would help to feel at ease and throw away negative thoughts that cause such uncontrollable emotions.
Being panic when the market becomes unstable should be avoided as much as we can because it will surely lead us into wrong decision making that will eventually put us into losing our money.

I know that controlling our emotions is just easy to say but honestly very hard to do. I understand the feeling because i've been there too. But if we will just let ourselves controlled by our own emotions then it will not help us at all. Success will only come if we chose to be more positive even if we think the whole market is crashing down.
