3381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING TO COMMUNITY on: August 23, 2013, 02:42:15 PM
This is why I like using Cryptsy, Coins-e, Bter, and BTC-e as wallets for a part of my altcoins Smiley. I know this is also a dangerous practice but a distributed coin store as well.

I like this. Can't wait to see it going live. Good luck Smiley.
3384  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty 20 BTC: Wi-Fi Hotspot, enabled by bitcoin on: August 22, 2013, 07:34:43 PM
After a quick look at the available solutions Aruba with Amigopod can do this. If we are thinking in freeware solutions then Packetfence is a good solution. It has built-in billing support, so you just need an external payment processor, what gives the green light for the auth process. I'm going to playing a bit with this Smiley.

3389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [KGC] Something BIG is coming to Krugercoin ! on: August 20, 2013, 03:03:42 PM
Noooo. A lion isn't really big. He wrote "BIG". With all caps, so that thing must be something really big. Maybe an elephant...
Will KGC group together with ELP  Cheesy?
3390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPUCoin - CPU mined currency (whirlpool based) on: August 20, 2013, 02:58:44 PM
Some facts :
- The coin is a copy paste of quarkcoin (he did not even change the genesis block FFS).
- He mentions whirlpool on the coin announcement which is not used on the coin source.
- He created a giveaway for 150K coins per address for a total of 15M coins, he later claims the giveaway is dry but nobody received their coins.
- He ignores any question about any of these issues.

...and still "no block source available" even with the nodes mentioned above.
3391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HOW-TO]Secure your VPS's - stop thiefs on: August 19, 2013, 10:36:41 PM
One more idea. If you have an other machine somewhere what running 24/7 you can send syslogs to this remote machine from your VPS. In this case the attacker can delete the local logs, but as you still have a copy on the remote machine you can find out what happened.
3392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HOW-TO]Secure your VPS's - stop thiefs on: August 19, 2013, 10:22:05 PM
For generating and safely storing passwords Keepass is a good option.
3393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Germany recognizes Bitcoin as ‘private money’ on: August 19, 2013, 12:30:17 PM
Great news. (I would be cautious with the world "good" at this stage) I guess sooner or later the rest of the EU will do the same.
3394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] Spots [SPT] and Copper Bars [CPR] on: August 18, 2013, 11:24:12 PM
Sorry, my cat worth more then a few spots or a piece of cable Smiley.
3395  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why MP is your God. on: August 18, 2013, 11:13:27 PM
This is our ironic request that everybody let this thread die.

Why should we do that? This topic is instructive (especially the first part) and somewhat entertaining.
Because when you feed the trolls, it gives them what they wanted: publicity.

I can always use the ignore "button" against trolls.
3396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Securing your bitcoin mining equipment from theft - ideas? on: August 18, 2013, 11:11:36 PM
Using a data center could be a good security measure.
3397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting new PC. Is this all I need to do to move my Wallet? on: August 18, 2013, 11:09:28 PM
Maybe you also want to copy your blockchain files and then you don't have to wait a day until you can use your wallet again Smiley.
3398  Other / Off-topic / Re: Truecrypt brute force software? on: August 18, 2013, 10:50:55 PM
