There was like no defending by Elche. The defenders were only pretending like they were doing something.  They were so desperate that they were able to stop some of the Real Madrid attacks by causing to penalties. Elche have the worst defense in the La Liga this season, they have conceded 44 goals, no team in La Liga has conceded up to that, though Almeria have conceded 34 goals and are the second team to have conceded the most goals in La Liga. So i am not shocked that Real Madrid scored 4 goals against Elche yesterday, it could have even been more than 4. Elche have a big problem this season and they are surely going to be relegated, 9 points after 21 games is too bad and there is no way Elche can save their season anymore. Well for Real Madrid to lose would have been very serious in this case Elche did what he could with the means he had, in the end what could they do, too much difference in squad, you can't work miracles in certain contexts (like this one) The very striking difference between the two teams indeed places Real Madrid deserving of victory. I agree that the defeat will actually make Real Madrid in big trouble, but they are very confident in finishing off the resistance from Elche. I can't judge realistically when the difference between the teams is so big, I feel it's normal when Real Madrid dominates the whole game. |

I see another very comfortable game waiting for Napoli in two days. This time they are going to play an away game against Sassuolo. No reason for napoli not to take full points from the next matches after UCL. Sassuolo and empoli are weak teams right now. I agree that it is going to be a simple and easy game, they are not even remotely close in talent and Napoli has been great this year as well. Sure their previous games look like Napoli was better, but this year Napoli is even better than their previous years which shows that we are talking about a situation where Napoli will have just a field day of practice and not even a real game for them. This of course could be an issue if they underestimate their opponent and not play properly, if they do that then any team could beat Napoli as well. So what they need to do is, know the fact that they are better, but still play with %100 so they could end up winning. With everything that Napoli has shown this season, the belief in them has increased, including to beat the opponents they will face every week. They have a very good performance, that's what makes them in their current position in the standings table with a long distance too. Previously I did not expect that Napoli would perform this well this season, but they really showed that they are serious about the championship. |

Unbelievable to see the Gunners go down so easy against Manchester City, I couldn't get my eyes off the TV screen when the game came to an end, I mean what really happened to this Arsenal side that have been doing quite well to prove so many football lovers wrong? To be frank with you I never believe that the gunners would drop down the table at this point in time, they're almost there for crying out loud.
I wouldn’t exactly say it was unbelievable to see Arsenal go down against Manchester City. I could believe it as I had believed Manchester City to win and win they did. Arsenal played well but didn’t utilize their chances properly in the second half of the game. While Manchester City had come into the game determined to win. The second half of the game proved to be unsettling for Arsenal as Manchester City added two more goals to solidify their win. I think that now that Arsenal is no longer at the first place at the league table, they might just start losing games and slide further down the table. One of the strongest teams currently in the Premier League are Manchester City and Arsenal, and it seems that Manchester City can still be said to be more prepared to do this match than Arsenal. Despite playing at home, the fact is that Arsenal have not been able to keep up with Manchester City's game and sharpness in attack. I'm not trying to say that Arsenal played badly, but indeed Manchester City were able to cover the strategy implemented by Arteta. |

The match between FC Koln v Eintracht Frankfurt I thought would have goals from both teams but the fact is, FC Koln can play well in this match until they beat Eintracht Frankfurt with a score of 3-0. This team losing their last match to Tottenham when they are suppose to win that match to close the gap between them ant the host team but all the same the league is still open, such chance the missed in there last encounter shouldn't repeat itself again because that chance can cause any team the league.
I wouldn't say that Manchester City are down just because they lost to Tottenham, even if it did cost them a chance to get closer to Arsenal. The opponent they faced was also a formidable opponent like Tottenham.
