341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the risk of holding Bitcoin? on: November 08, 2017, 11:56:06 PM
As I said in the title. I was interested in putting my money into Bitcoin because of the ever-increasing price.
But I want to know what the biggest risk is to hold Bitcoin?
Are you serious ? It does not mean that the bitcoin orice is high it will remains high. What if right after you convert your money into bitcoib, bitcoin drop its price ? What if bitcoin disappear? What will happen to you ? No one will ever bring back your money. Are you now ready to lose all the money you have ? You are not sure about what will happen since bitcoin is not permanent. I have read a lot of topics like this and I wonder why you guys think about it. Just because the price is high you already forget some thing that might happen ? Just try to earn bitcoin if you want to have lot of bitcoin and converting your money is not the solution. There are lots of way.Campaign translation, mining faucet. Then after you have bitcoin you can invest. Cash it out or spend it when the price is high.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit 5000$ before november?? on: November 08, 2017, 02:44:07 PM
China ban ico  and also try to ban bitcoin. As a result bitcoin dumping and price 3000$ below. Now bitcoin again hit 4000$+ now .Bitcoin can 5000$ before november? I want to hold my bitcoin  plz give me your predict?

Correct me if I am wrong but your 5000$ prediction comes so fast and early before the month of november. It suprises each and every one of us. It is not a middle in the month of november but it already reaches 7000$. What more in december if that continue ? 10,000$ or maybe more since it is so fast. What a life changing thing. It just made me more addict to bitcoin. Yes I am already addicted to bitcoin ot is 2000$ but it double now. By this, it encourage me more to convert all my coins into bitcoin and in bitcoin I will just wait and wait for its increase since it is so fast. It also encourage me not to cash out my money and just invest bitcoin.
343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: November 08, 2017, 02:18:12 PM
Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

You have posted this in the times that you are worrying about the bitcoin you buy in 4600$ value and this is in the month of september. By that time, bitcoin drop and drop and drop. Now look what happened it is above 4600$. If you just hold and wait you already earn a big amount of money right?
Regarding what happened, I think you already lose your hope.
So is buying bitcoin bad ? I say no. "Patience" is the key. We must learn to wait and trust even though we are not really sure in what we are entering.
Now will you do the same thing such as buying coins again? Analyze its previous prices. At least in bitcoin you already have start.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: November 08, 2017, 01:58:59 PM
I don't know why but I always get a feeling to gamble, after then losing my money, I quit for some time and then continue, but I know I will lose my btc Sad

Why is it so addictive?

Gambling s very much like drug, proven and tested. I do gamble with my cousins when we were a kid. That time I am so addict to the point that, even though my mother calls me I am just ignoring her so I can continue playing. I find gambling addicting because I find thrills with it. It is not boring, like spicy compare to ordinary foods. Sometimes when it is my last money that is the time I will win big. In doing gambling, I find friends, I find happiness, stress free, chill and even though I lose I win. I just say it is not profitable even though we can earn money from it. I beleive gambling is made for fun.
345  Economy / Economics / Re: Yes or No? Doesn't Bitcoin unfairly benefit early adopters? on: November 08, 2017, 01:05:18 PM
Yes or No?    Doesn't Bitcoin unfairly benefit early adopters?

A little I think. I knew some early bitcoin adopters that only starts lat august. By august bitcoin is just 2000$ . then when they become junior I think that is in september to october they already join in campaigns then after thay campaign I think they already earn almost 15,000 pesos. Compare to my first earn. Not a half of it. They are very lucky. After that, so many airdrops came and with just one click ,they received money. But still in some cases we (long time bitcoin users) are still lucky since we have save our previous earned coins like altcoins that is now converted into bitcoin and of course the earned bitcoin so we already have savings and as the bitcoin price increases it increases too. My account seems new but I already do bitcoin last year since my friend ask me to pilot his account since he is busy in something else.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: November 08, 2017, 12:36:14 PM
hi guys, i bought 1BTC today and i am wondering to gamble or to invest the 1btc?

if to gamble

best site to gamble with a really nice provably fair..

and if to invest.

best investment program wherein no scam.

thank you for your opinions guys

cheers

I much prefer investing than gambling. Yes we can a big money in just instant by gambling but that is only 10% of chance. You can lose money in gambling, worst all of your bitcoin without getting any benefit from it.
I see you have posted it last year, by that time bitcoin price is so small compare to its price right now. What did you do ? Do you invest it? If you do , you already have 7000$. Much profitable than gambling right? The only quite hard thing to do is just you will wait for a long time for its increase. Plus you will be discourage with some of its random ups and downs.
But it does not matter for me. It is not hard at all. All I am going to do is to wait , I will not get tired of it.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: November 08, 2017, 12:14:00 PM
How does one Put down Gambling for good?

It is not easy to quit on something that become a part of your every day lives. The thing that you always di every day, the thing that you feel incomplete by not doing it on a single day the thing that become your past time and the thing that makes you feel you have no problem when you're doing it. But on the other side, if a person really want to quit gambling, he / she will try his / her very best to do it. My parents always told me "if you do not want you have a reason but if you really want you have solution". Yes that is true. It os just putting discipline in some ones self. If you said you want to quit, do it. One rule of the chess game " TOUCH MOVE". You already said it then do it.
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make money if bitcoin/altcoin prices keep falling? on: November 08, 2017, 11:41:53 AM
I don't know much about stocks but i know that in stocks if you think certain stocks will fall, you can short them and make money.  However with bitcoin/altcoin, can you short or is that not possible?  Also isn't it true shorting is very dangerous because you can lose a lot more shorting than investing in bitcoin/altcoin?

I know when prices drop, that is when you want to buy because you want to buy low and sell high.  So what would be the strategy if bitcoin/altcoin stays the same or keeps dropping etc?  Thus its all red and stays that way?  Of course you could buy... then wait till it goes back up and sell to make profit.  But you don't know how long that would that or it could possibly not and keep going down etc.  I understand that if you want to daytrade, well you buy it at certain price then sell at certain price to lock in profit.  Thus if prices go higher and you bought earlier, you will make profit if you sell.  But besides buying the coin at low prices, you aren't making any money at the moment.

So what do daytraders do then?  Thus daytraders are on the computer looking at the markets all the time etc.  So if everything keeps going down, how do they make money?  If prices keep dropping for a long time, then there is no money to be made right?  Or is there?  Because what do daytraders do if the market prices keep going down etc?  Sure you can buy a lot of coins at cheap prices but you don't know how long it would take to go back up etc.

I have that told me to buy coins when the price is low and sell it when its price pump even though we do not know how long will it takes to pump again. But I get your point. What if it keeps down and down? I also ask myself about it. Maybe the right thing to do is to first analyze the previous prices of the coin you / we are targetinf to buy or invest. I have altcoins from my campaigns but it takes a long time to rise its price. Now I look on the other side, I see bitcoin even thoygh it drops , it still pump up so fast so think bitcoin is good thing to buy and invest. Then I try it and luckily I am earning as its price rise from day to day.
349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: November 08, 2017, 11:19:29 AM
I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?
Me, I will not do the same thing. Yes maybe bitcoin has a very high price now but and it continue rising. But think about "bitcoin is not stable". There is still a chance to drop its price any moment any time of the day or worst be ban by other powerful countries that are against to bitcoin. Just convert all your money if you are really sure that bitcoin is accepted, tolerated, and promoted in every country.
It is not risky to convert to convert all your money to bitcoin, it is just very risky. Imagine, after converting bitcoin price drop and drop and drop. What are you going to do if that happens? Even most of people predict good in bitcoin, at the end of the day it is still a prediction, it is maybe wrong maybe right.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin to the moon on: November 08, 2017, 10:51:04 AM
Litecoin is tradable from today in Korea... look like this day is the only strong safe investment, guys you think can arrive at 4 billion in this week?
Litecoin ? I think I applied in airdrop to received litecoin. But other than that I have no much information about it. You said it is traded in korea by the time you posted it, but how about in some other country? My friends are updated in every coin but they do not yet talk about litecoin, I still hear bitcoin from them like bitcoin is rising, etc. They invest more in bitcion and reading in this topic, others said or point out that litecoin price is low and stable. They also not investing litecoin. But who knows. There is no impossible.
351  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 07, 2017, 03:24:18 PM
I heard people said that Bitcoin's profit is higher than profit of drug dealer, weapon dealers or profit of real property or any kind of stocks. Is that real ?
First of all I do not know why you come up with this idea. Where did you get that information ? Do you know someone or do you have friend that is drug dealer, or a weapon dealer? I do not know anything about it but I just get curious, you think about that. Are you planning to do the same thing? I think there are legal and illegal weapon dealer at the same time but I still have no idea how much they earn. But for a drug dealer, what kind of drug? Is tge shabu you are talking about? it is just in a black market and nothing is legal about that. You may get caught by the police and go to jail. If you get information that, in that kind of business you can earn much big money you will switch on that ?   It is better just to do bitcoin. You maybe can get much big money in just a blink of an eye but you are not secure. Time will come police will notice what you are doing.
352  Economy / Economics / Re: Time is money, how you manage your money and time ? on: November 07, 2017, 03:00:34 PM
Just imagine, how precious is the time for your life? What a valuable time for your financial development. You have the possibility to become a rich person if you try to manage time in a very efficient way. An hour for you could be equal to one month for others. When you waste an hour, you're wasting a month's time for someone else. Therefore, arrange yourself in such a way that can really take advantage of time well.

The quality of time you have will elevate you to better financial condition. If you value time, then time will also appreciate you. Therefore, the English proverb says "Time is money", which means time is money. Pepeatah has a tremendous meaning, which will change your life for the better. The price of your time is the same as the price of money yo
Time in my life is very precious, very important and no such thing can surpass the value of time in my life. Time is gold. Every second count. I have no time to do stupid things. I must stick with my schedule or else I will not meet the deadline. Deadline of what ? I am a student and besides of major exams I do have lots of performance and projects. So I am dividing my time in working, studying, doing projects plus performance and the time for my family also. One thing I miss in a day cause in so many problems.
Now, how do I manage my time. I make schedule and be very strict to myself to follow the schedule I made in short put discipline in myself. I always put in my mind that it is for the better future. It is just a little sacrifice.
353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how control my emotion?? on: November 07, 2017, 02:39:05 PM
I am starting trading some month ago.Bought some alta coin but now all alta coin are down and i donot understad what can i do?I get a big lose if i sell this.So how control my mind ? Cry Cry
Maybe the coin you bought is not traded by many people. Did you first analyze or look for the past price chart of that coin ? Its ups and downs? Why not buy bitcoin instead of that alta coin? For how long are you waiting for the price up? If it is just month, I say it is normal. If it already takes a year of waiting I say that coin is already impossible to rise again.
About controllinf emotions I have nothing much to help you with that because if I am in that situation for sure I am already in panic mode. Me, I also cannot control my emotions especially that case. I must say it is a lesson for you. If you will buy another coin again you must be very careful. Thanks god, I do signature campaigns and not trading.
354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: November 07, 2017, 02:15:50 PM
Nobody wants to be monitoring the prices all day with the cursor on the sell button just waiting to click the mouse, so how do you decide when to sell?

If you set up an open order with a low target price, you'll be disappointed when the price climbs well above your target price.
If you set up an open order with too high a price, you might not sell at all.

What's your strategy?

If only I can have a good internet connection everyday I will monitor different coin prices. It is just to be updated with the latest price so that I will be able to know if a coin is rising so I can now sell it.
Another tthing I do, I set my coin in a not so impossible price. If it is green it has a potential to rise more so if the price now is 0.003 then I will set it in 0.005 . Luckily someone bought it.i did the same thing a few hours ago, I did not visit my exchanger acount yet.
Sometimes if the coin is going down and down, I set it to current price convert it to bitcoin then I will just wait for the bitcoin to pump. And yes it if effective for me.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $7k!!! on: November 07, 2017, 01:56:46 PM
As to my last view few minutes ago in coinmarketcap,  bitcoin breaks through $7000 and to the look of things, the price might exceed or meet $10,000 after the segwit2x coming. What do you guys think will happen after the segwit, with the view of the past two forks that has taken place?
Share your views guys.

I think like others saying, I look that in the future especially before this year 2017 ends bitcion will be able to reach 10,000$. Bitcoin price keeps increasing so it is not impossible. Then the bitcoin users are increasing everyday so more demand for bitcoin. But take note it is just the guess of most of us. We must be ready to whatever will happen tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Since bitcoin goes up and up and up, maybe time will come and the ups will end then price drop will now enter. I do not contradict with what is happening I just open my mind because after all it is still possible.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dividing your salary. on: November 07, 2017, 12:40:01 PM
Hello, as we all know that Bitcoin is heading straight to the moon. Me, as an employee, do also invest with this cryptocurrency, and I kinda need to divide all of my salary for my needs, and on how much should I invest in? Let's talk about percentage. Anyone?
Employee ? So you have another way of earning money instead of bitcoin? Well for I see, you have lot of money. You may invest if you want but if you do not want then don't.  By investing, it can also one of your source of income with doing nothing.
Me, after recieving my payment in campaigns mostly altcoins, I first invest it then convert it to bitcoin it when its price is high  then invest it again especially when I do not need money yet. I only cash out a part of it when I need or want to buy something. Then continue to invest so it will grow again and get back the money I cash out.
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: what do you think about bitcoin price in 2018? on: November 07, 2017, 12:18:25 PM
In this year January btc price was $800 — $1,150 and now it is around $7100.Can we imagine it will increase like this year?

Honestly I do not see that coming. The past few years bitcoin price do not go that way. But I admit I am so happy and feel bless with it. I think we all feel the same way. What happened this year is really amazing, and remarkable. Correct me if I am wrong but I think it the first time in the history of bitcoin price. When bitcoin reaches 2000$, I assumed that it will just remain on that price until this year end. But I am wrong because it just not double from 2000$ it triple, now big potential to quadruple. So quick. I hope this remains happening even in the next years to come (next year, 2 years 3 years after) .
358  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Moving Towards $7500, Market needs a crash on: November 07, 2017, 11:53:48 AM
Bitcoin price in India is hitting all records and now the price is moving towards the level of Rs. 500000 and its the signal of price correction. I think the next few days are crucial and we should be ready for a crash.

In the bull run, the market captures positive news and ignores small negative news. When people starts selling to make profits, the prices goes down and every negative news are highlighted which can lead a crash.

Market Needs Crash

Thinking about the crash you are talking about. I think bitcoin do not need that CRASH thing. Crash ? What for? Aren't you happy about what is happening to bitcoin price? Isn't that a good thing for all of us? By the bitcoin increase, our saved bitcoin is also increasing its price. You do nothing but still your money grows. Don't you know that? Crash? No time for that. Besides, i do not see any potential of crash right now and for the near future. In fact I look forward for more ups.
Are you in favor for that crash? Selling by lots of people I think is not a major reason for crash. Maybe it will just cause for the price to just drop a little. Then will easily recovered from it.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: November 07, 2017, 08:07:15 AM
I have around 500 000 bets placed on FJ
It was a matter of time when this would happen ( placed a lot of bets on not Martingale, so it already happened a lot of times, just not with Martingale)

I got 16 losses in a row
Starting with bet 0.000001BTC
And last bet was 0.03BTC
Counting a 0.06BTC loss total

Now, my question is, should I try to win it back?

I have a total bank of around 1.6BTC on my disposal

Odds of me losing those 16 bets in a row were 0.00179%
Somewhere around 1 to 60 000

Now, if I place a 0.06BTC there's a 50.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.12BTC bet,  0.505*0.505= 25.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.24BTC bet, 0,255025*0,505= 12.88% chance
If I lose, I place a 0.48BTC bet, 0,128787625*0,505= 6.5% chance I'll lose

If I lose, I have a total loss of 0.48+0.24+0.12+0.06 (+0.03) = 0.9BTC (+0.03)

Is it worth it?
Should I cut my losses o.o

Odds of me losing 20 bets in a row should be 1 : 860 000
Which, with me having 500k bets, doesn't sound very good

It is GAMBLING. We cannot make sure that we will win. You must open for every possibility for it and be ready for whatever happens. If you want to win you must be willing to take a risk. In gambling, since there no sureness to win you must always have a back up plan and not to bet all your money. If you think you will lose a big money in that betting I think it is better to just invest your money. Bitcoin is rising so fast now so you will be able to get back your losses.
360  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why you should buy Bitcoin now. on: November 06, 2017, 04:02:07 PM
I strongly believe that it will still go up because of its limited supply and it is a good investment since I believe that bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is the future of money.

If bitcoin will continue to grow and reapeat it's highest price or even beyond it's price we should too that there a possibility that it will go down as well. The prediction is there but we can't know what will going to happen in the next month, year or even in the future but as long as we believe that bitcoin will continue to grow and widely used all over the globe. We should buy bitcoin if were willing to get huge profit just like early adopters of bitcoin. Bitcoin is not control by any financial institution and your the only one how can control over your money so I think that's one you should consider why you should buy bitcoin.
