My unofficial update...
- PIVX PoS network is starting to stabilize with the latest release candidate RC2 wallet. (on github)
- Final stable wallet will be released once ready. Then exchange wallets will go online. ETA soon.
Just FYI:
Since 3.0.0, there are 2 new folders in the data folder. Sporks & Zerocoin.
Make sure to keep a backup of these also when making your own snapshot.
It is for deterministic blockchain databasing and are not private info.
Fresh sync without them can cause going off onto forks much easier.
Also, due to how zerocoin works. Whenever you mint zPIV, the secret key is stored on your wallet.dat at that time.
As it is not associated with any of your existing addresses, your previous wallet.dat backups won't know about it.
So keep a backup of your latest wallet.dat whenever you mint zPIV. (PIVX wallet will auto-backup each time also)

But we recently had a network issue which delayed its proper launch.

Hey everyone,
We want to apologize about this but we are not able to release the QT Windows wallet today. Our original plan wasn't compatible enough for Windows and we had not recalculated the time it would take to make it compatible enough. The wallet is on it's way but we just don't know yet when it's good for use. We are giving our self as the maximum amount of time one week. We have made some upgrades to the Electrum wallet and have a new server on port 50002 SSL this is the new server address, pool.bilbotel.fr. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

I feel that will turn out to be a very difficult task. Bootstrapping is enormously difficult given the tough competition in the cryptocurrency market and the strength some other coins already have. I agree, it won't be easy, but our plan is to create a working and secure environment for crypto-payments in Brazil (not only eREAL) and we may have a change at it if we execute it well. I like people with a vision and of course nothing is easy when it comes to fundamental change. So I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors! |

Just now someone dumped 2000 for 68 sat thats ridiculous.... If this project was serious, then no one in his right mind would dump coins at that price. Not sure what to think of that. What does people selling coins at a low price have to do with a serious project?. The people dumping may not be serious, but the project in itself is!! But The good news is that people buying at low price are the ones benefitting from the low price dump and the people getting these coins are the serious one that want this project to grow, see this phase as a cleansing portion of the cycle... get rid of the sh%$ and get the reward!! If some people get contented with 5-10 bucks than so be it, this stage will be over grown!! Let me admit that you are basically right of course. It's just so crazy that it is sort of a red signal for someone coming across this place in the first place. It is of course not the ultimate prove that your project is not serious, but it makes me think twice before investing. Didn't want to attack your project, sorry. |

I don't want by any means FUD here, that is not my intention, but maybe it is the high POS rate that keeps this coin from drawing attention to it. It just does not sound sustainable. Especially for those who are late to the party.
Don't mean to sound like an ass, but if you can read : its " up to 200%". Its not actually 200%. Plus everyone gets the same percentage, whether you're new or not. So yeah please rethink your false accusations. On a slightly less aggressive note, you are right, it is a considered choice and a 200% headline can be dissuasive on face value. But, as with several other long lived POS coins This is quite the enjoyable long game which, with smart play, can pay off very nicely. It's definitely not for the "I just bought some when is the pump" brigade It's a longer strategy I'm getting the impression that because this is a new thread people are thinking this is a new coin ... Loooong way from it. That is what I meant. I came here to ask about the POS rate while others might just skip this thread. Not sure where that reasoning is equal to a "false accusation". |

Good coin, but not quite in Navcoin's league yet. Hopefully wallet functions well. I am recommending a buy for sure with the recent price dip.  Solid Altcoin with bright futur like NAVcoin

Navcoin has som interesting anon features, like dapp's, but Pivx has Zercoin (or will), Nav is not even close in this regard. Might want to research before you post false hoods. When will Zercoin be implemented? |

it is ridiculous to expect/demand expect guarantees from anyone, no one owes anybody anything this is not fdic insured at "some ridiculously small number" CD at a local bank
well lets hope so still missing 19k coins! It's a blockchain, coins don't get lost. They may not be visible atm. Just wait for the news and updates, and keep an extra copy of your wallet. Can't it just be fixed with the function repairwallet or so? As you said, usually nothing can go missing. not in my case ..... Damn it, hope you can get it solved. |

the biggest problem for me ATM is the stupid high orphan rate. been mining with some people on a private pool 43% orphans.
jesus christ so half the work we are doing is hot air.
After the hardfork, the block time will increase and the orphans would decrease. that is how it should be. Let's see how it goes. |

cex.io is not really the very best place to trade at. I sometimes have been ignored by the staff and was left alone with my issue. Others say they are not bad. It depends I guess. |

200% indeed is remarkable, however there is a POS hard cap of 200 TRK per block. So, split your coins a bit into several addresses to get the whole 200%.
Yes I just said in a sarcastic way that 200% interest does not look like a sound economic system  You are right, but this coin still survives since 2014, and is far away from the 1 sat, where usually bad coins go within few weeks. This one was forgotten, but it has still a community holding it and I'm very curios what will happen if it gets attention I don't want by any means FUD here, that is not my intention, but maybe it is the high POS rate that keeps this coin from drawing attention to it. If it only were that easy. Hahahaha, yeah, I am on week 6 of trying and now have to wait 2 additional weeks before rule change. How you didn't get approved, I see you are super active.. these rules a very strange as there is Jr.Members that joined few months ago and get's accepted immediately but old and active members doesn't... I had to wait over 10 weeks to join. The day I achieved jr member rank, they raised it to member rank. The day I got member rank, the changed it back to Jr. Member rank. Then I had wallet issues that took several weeks to be resolved. It sucked, really felt like they would never let me join. But they did. Follow the rules, contribute, and be patient. Do this, and you will get your onion. Patience and persistence pays off!  Good for you that you didn't give up |

In a near future, we want to add eREAL as a digital payment option in Brazilian websites. But that might turn out to be very difficult because rREAL is probably much more volatile than BTC. How are you going to convince websites to use eREAL instead of BTC? |

The fact is that at this very moment we have a total circulation of " 2.790.787", there will be a yearly 2% increase on that number = " 27908", that means the KNX is a controlled currency increasing when people are minting the coin, these 2% increase will be distributed to coin owners, so yes i think its a limited supply for now. There are no 20M or 50M coins available where anyone can dump it and bring down its value due to so called inflation, when there is more supply as demand. The more people are going to start to own the coin the more valuable it will be. If we manage to get 1000 people holding KNX this will be like 3000 Coins per KNX holder, thats not much. I agree with you that when we reach the 23M KNX than yes it will not be a limited distribution anymore, but this will happen in the next future years. yep thats what I thought.
