AP occasionally "gets behind" in processing block rewards.  It always catches up, it's just a matter of time.  Also, we've found five of the last six blocks, so that may be straining the process that handles the metrics.

There are no PACMIC contracts available, correct?
That is correct.

The pool is running great once again!  Over 24 hours no issues at all.

Thanks for the hard work getting it back up and running good!
+1

MinerEdge rack mounted system based on RockerBox pictures can be found here http://imgur.com/a/5g0cq

This system looks neat--any word when we might see it in the wild?

.... My yearly return is currently close to 20% (i expect that to go up with reinvestment of dividends), but the trick is finding the right point to change your auto rebuy feature to, "Off".  I currently think that it can stay to reinvest for about another 2 months (give or take and that will change in time due to bitcoin price and difficulty changes), if it gets to about a month I will probably switch it over, just to be on the safe side.

I've decided to turn the rebuy feature on when the diff is moving down, and turn it off when the estimated diff begins to rise again.  I currently have them off!

Thanks for the concise evaluation, and good luck!

Dear Bitmain Customer,

This morning we received a concerning email from a group of hackers threatening Bitmain and our services with a DDoS attack and demanding a ransom payment to prevent the attack. Bitmain is committed to providing the best service possible to our users, and will not invite future attacks of this sort by giving in to the demands of hackers.

The hackers have demonstrated that they do possess the capability to execute a DDoS and that this is not an entirely empty threat, although we do not know the full extent of their capabilities. During the next few days, Bitmaintech.com, AntPool, AntPool.com, and&nbs p;Hashnest.com may experience intermittent outages. Our team is working hard to ensure that the effects of any possible attack will be as minimal as possible.

For those customers mining on AntPool, please make sure that you have configured your backup pools properly in the event that you are unable to access AntPool.

For HashNest users, mining payouts will continue as usual and there is no need to worry about lost revenue.

For sales, if you are unable to access our main website, you may contact us directly at info@bitmaintech.com.

Thank you for bearing with us during this time.

All the best,

Bitmain
Hey now, everyone needs to slow down a bit.  BM has stated that this DDOS attack may bring them up and down for a few days, which is exactly what's happening.  Make sure you've got a secondary or tertiary backup pool and don't sweat it.

There are several reasons someone would hide behind a pen name, especially if they were reporting on something that people overlook as a potential scam where a lot of money was invested. Perhaps you shouldnt be so closed minded?

I trust coinfire, so far their articles have proven to be truthful and hard hitting, not just on GAW but multiple stories. Pen name or not I will continue to read them.
We've gone over all this twice now with this guy in previous pages.  He's just rolling by on his troll train again.

I enjoy your posts.  Have a thicker skin.  I joined your coinfire plus btw.  I appreciate what you do.  Looking forward to checking out your new service.
It's refreshing to meet someone that's polite.  Thank you for that, regardless of which side of this you might be on.

Oh wow, I was just catching up on this thread and got to the part where guys talked about guns.

Anyways, typical American argument, left wing douche doesn't understand firearms at all.  Tries acting smart and calls a magazine a clip, and then says pistols are for killing other people and should be banned.  Right wing guys quote 2nd Amendment, everyone else tells them to stfu.  Both completely miss the point, thread gets diverted.

Anyways, I guess I'll chime in with my own gawsome experiences.  Eric locked my zencloud account once because he thought i was a super hacker, then I was told to recreate it, then he deleted it again.  This was because I bought a black widow hardware miner and my zencloud account populated like 50 of them, so I called right away to get it sorted out and they just deleted everything associated with me (after i paid).

Luckily, their support manager Amanda wouldn't let it go down like that and chased people down in the company until I was compensated.  Then she called me back a week later just to apologize again.  At this point I was pleasantly surprised at how they handled this, and started to e-mail Eric for a while until he quit.  He was actually pretty decent, like most of the rank and file GAW staff.

I mined some XPY and dumped @ .045 while my good friend mined 11k with his primes and holds them to this day

Hey douchebag, I am neither left wing nor right wing nor anywhere in between. I just don't give a fuck about politics and can not be bothered. Why don't you brush up on your reading comprehension because it is that of a young child. NOWHERE did I say guns should be banned. That's something you added to make yourself feel good about your beliefs. You can show me as many articles as you want and any statistics you want to support your view and I can find just as many to support the opposite. You really thought I was making an attempt to act smart. I don't have to. I am. Guess what? No one gives a fuck what the difference is between a magazine and a clip besides some hardcore gun fanatics. Go lube up your weapon and have fun shooting at little paper targets because that is why all those handguns were made right? It's completely necessary to have such high caliber and high performing weapons with large "magazines" for target practice right? Surely none of them were designed with any attempt to maim or kill. You are just another ignorant, militant gun loving prick.
Hey man, we're all entitled to our opinion--that guy was obviously being dismissive and we shouldn't let it derail the thread.  Let the trolls troll.

Raised the price while it was in my checkout Sad

Unbelievable.

I know this is not a bitmain thread, but S5 batches 5 and 6 up now!

yeah 384 for march 30th shipping

and 354 for june 9th shipping
BM charges for shipping now--you may double check the math on it!
353  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: March 08, 2015, 04:18:23 PM
That gear will be not usable after 6 to 12 months, so just get the max from it and don't care for their life.

I tend to agree, although past history doesn't guarantee future performance--in this case in regards to difficulty increases.  I don't overclock my machines so I can sell them into the used ASIC market without feeling like a dick, but I also don't underclock them to prolong their lifespans.

Many people here will run under spec to gain higher power efficiency to offset electricity costs.  I prefer to run them in a less efficient manner to acquire more coins at a higher fiat cost.  I do this because if the coins jump in price by a factor of five or ten, the extra electricity I paid for them will be a nominal consideration.  I'm basically buying BTC via the exchange that is my local power company, but to each his own!

Cheers.

Isn't coinswap out of Florida? Where does Europe come into that?

Interesting about "jot" PR. I've never heard a North American say it or write in many years of observation. I pretty sure it is not in Homero's limited vocab. so I wonder if it can lead us to who is behind the 'CEO'  title (this week)

I've heard it used in the US plenty of times, from east coast to west.  Not sure what you guys are digging at here, but it "ain't" true.

After 48 hours mining on antpool i can say that this one is the most profitbable pool i have ever seen :-o
The last 48 hours have been very lucky!  It will even out in the long run.
356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 03, 2015, 09:43:36 PM
But that only reinforces the "world against us" mentality. I lived in a country like that once, and find it incredible that in the age of free (in all meanings) information people DELIBERATELY choose to feed on propaganda.

Take a look at the Southern United States.  Fits that description to the letter.
These broad stroke are what nudge us toward polarization--I'm sure not every resident of the "Southern United States" are deliberately ignorant.  Come on, man.
357  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: March 03, 2015, 03:29:33 PM

most likely the 3% fan speed and the max loaded wires are the cause.

Maybe he was using the auto fan feature?. Personally I think it lacks a target temp setting or a min/max speed threshold.

The auto-fan only steps down to six, so he went in and manually set the fan to run at three.

Is AntPool available for SP20?
Does somebody have such experience?

Shouldn't be a problem. KnC Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune certainly works.

i just pointed my 3 SP20 to antpool without any problem.. the only thing is that you have to wait a few minutes for them to be shown on your worker's dashboard
This is true, the dashboard updates every five minutes or so--which is different than what you are used to coming from GHASH.

They work quite well--we've had zero problems with our 20's.

*snip*
I can certainly understand the hesitations regarding my deletion of social media but I wasn't planning on this becoming a large thing. I just expected to get my feet wet doing some writing and seeing if I was passionate about it... I didn't set out to grow an audience, it has just sort of happened and if I could go back... I wouldn't have hit reset on my social media contacts etc. I'd do things differently but now those things are done and so I just have to move forward and keep moving forward. It is all one can do.
the question isn't why you hit the reset button on the accounts. it's why you're using a fake identity to do so and using that as the excuse. it ruins the credibility of everything that you're reporting. you're not "mike johnson".
hmmm interesting that you mention that.
Paul Harvey = Paul Harvey Aurant
Dave Thomas/Dave Roberts = David Thomas Boreanaz
Joan Alexandra Molinsky (Rosenberg) = Joan Rivers
Ilyena Lydia Vasilievna Mironov = Helen Mirren
Michael Douglas = Michael Keaton
Issur Danielovitch = Kirk Douglas
DIANE KEATON = Diane Hall
and i have a long list but dont have the time to post all of them. thats what google is for. fact is, stage names/alternate names dont mean they are liars or hiding something.

I am going to chime in about this as well.  As an actual adult that has worked in the news business, I would like to point out that it is extremely common to use a "stage name" on air.  We do it for a number of reasons, and privacy is definitely one of them.  You don't want a crazy internet/radio listener/television viewer to look up your home address via public records and camp outside your house because you ran a piece about Obama three months ago that s/he didn't agree with.  That shit is real, and everyone in the business understands that.

The gentleman freaking out about Mr. Johnson's name should do a little homework next time.
