Well I hope you are wrong, but I can understand where you are coming from. Hopefully banks don't create their own cryptos one day, it would hurt Bitcoin in the long term.
In the end, it is the people who can make the difference. I personally trust Bitcoin and hope more and more do too.
Like you said, I don't think we should worry too much in the next 3 or 4 years. No one can make predictions after that. My personal opinion is that Bitcoin's golden age will be in 2020.

This for me is ridicolous, a pension fund all in bitcoin.
Let me clarify THIS: THE COMPANIES HAVE ALREADY KNOWN that the blockchain tecno is somenthing REALLY PROMISUING and good for their profits and they ARE WORKING TO CREATE THEIR OWN BLOCKCHAINS (SIDE-CHAINS)
Because they don't want to depend on the Bitcoin blockchain that is full of bugs, with scaling problems and that you must wait 30 minuts for a block to be verified.
So let me clarify this: Bitcoin is a simbolic progress of internet, but will die for sure. You don't have to see the price now, it can go even to 1 million, but it's extremly risky to invest in a such bubble.
Bitcoin will remain as a ''simbolic progress of internet'' and will stabilize itself at the price of 1000$ in the next years (then I predict it will disappear)
Because copanies are working on their own side-chains. IN the future you won't need bitcoin to buy ALTS (look at waves dex)

I mean if there is hype, it's obviously more risky. However, it deosn't mean that you are going to be able to turn a profit on your investments. Decentralized storage is a great idea but probably not going to see any real life usages any time soon.
But again, if there is a new wave of hype then it could certainly see its price jump.
In the end, it's investment and speculation. But i do think that decentralized storage projects are going to be pumped soon. Haven't had any action for ages now.
Huge hype sometimes scare me a lot about a project cause those kind of projects may end up failing pretty faster than expected. However, hypes too can be good for profit anyway as you have said, it is an investment and we are obviously all out for the profit. One just needs to be very careful. I totally agree with the decentralized storage projects and I am really looking forward to seeing some actions on them. By the way, is the OP trying to advertise WALTON CHAIN? I agree with half of your opinion. But i still believe in project on fund managing like genesis vision, also atlant for real estate. Crypterium as debitcard service also i believe. But not at super computer project and video streaming and social media who said will compete with facebook.

They can do things no other project can do, not even ethereum. I'm not asking you to invest, because I don't care, I'm asking you not to participate in mindless fudding I am undecided about bitcoin. One day I would like to hold another day I would like to spread all across some projects . People know about bitcoin but there are some problems that could potencially KILL BITCOIN (not blockchain).
--- People do not know how to buy/store and trade cripto and bitcoin without being ''nerd'' as I am.
If someone can gently realize an app that trought smartphone and scan code can let to buy the cripto without too much hassle cripto will go very high.
It should be be somenthing like a game currency, to buy with smartphone and credit card.
Also they would need to send and receive payment trought ''ALIAS'' , not trough complicated nerdy hashes .
Is this possible? Because bitcoin deserve to be mass adopted in an easy way, not in this COMPLICATED WAY (for normale people)
