341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to eliminate modern day slavery one crypto at a time on: June 18, 2019, 03:46:12 AM
This is absurd thinking. What if everyone were millionaire and everyone just stayed in their house? Who would work? Who would produce goods and services?
It's not the amount of money that makes ones rich. Our economic system is designed with demand and supply of goods and service. If everyone has a lot of money, the money would be hyper inflated and a bag of money won't bring you a bag of potato.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GlobalCoin gets support from Visa, Mastercard & Uber on: June 18, 2019, 03:42:57 AM
It's already confirmed. And it truly makes the global coin of facebook global. Unlike the predictions of Facebook's crypto being only internally used inside the facebook ecosystem, the token seems to be used for every possible ways in real life. But we might also soon get a competitor from google and amazon.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is the crypto bull run June 2019 on: June 17, 2019, 04:40:07 PM
There had been some moments where the prices seemed to be going down as people went on selling to secure profit but overcoming every sell wall, Bitcoin seems to be rising to reach new highs. Still struggling between 9K and 10K, it seems there's no stopping it. Bitcoin has again started rising and is already over 9.2K now.
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi aka Craig Wright seems goes straight to jail :D on: June 17, 2019, 04:34:56 PM
Not just liar, Craig Wright seems also to be a criminal. He had confiscated others bitcoin and has not returned them to the valid owner.
The court has asked him to produce proof of ownership. If he's proven to be guilty of theft, he might even go to a prison.
But as it's just an accusation, we should not decide before the judges do.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the TELEGRAM ICO ?? on: June 17, 2019, 04:31:01 PM
With the current delay and frustrations, I think it would be better to wait and see rather than holding your money for the Gram token.
The current so called ICO seems to be not from the ream telegram or TON team but from an angel investor. Though they may have obtained some sort of agreement to use the brand without mentioning the Telegram or the TON team.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Cryptocurrency on: June 17, 2019, 03:47:52 AM
I am determined to buy FB coin Libra even though it is not available yet. I hope it is available on exchanges where i can buy easily.

Will it be a threat to BTC and other altcoins? I am afraid that the prices of BTC and other altcoins will go down. It makes me hesitate to buy some currencies like TRX currently.

You won't be able to buy a coin until it's available. The modality of distribution of the coin issued by Facebook is not revealed as yet. But they may go with a private sell first. The private sell amount would be huge as many of well known companies are interested in it. They'd surely go with a public sell, whatever small as they require adoption from the community. But anyway they'll force you to buy it one way or other.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: June 17, 2019, 03:43:07 AM
Unlike my previous estimation, this coin would probably disrupt the current crypto market and compete with well known coins.
As it would be backed by other large enterprise like VISA, mastercard and Paypal it is sure to have it's own card and be used in banking sector.
With Uber on it's team, it would also be an utility token. So, it could really be the first global cryptocoin.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does BTC (SV) represent Satoshi's Vision? on: June 16, 2019, 01:55:17 PM
"The Bitcoin SV project begins by restoring what was the original Bitcoin protocol, as described in the whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto."  (fyi: bitcoinsv.io)

Does BTC (SV) represent Satoshi's Vision (or Craig W.)?
BitcoinSV? No! You have been mislead. Careful.

Quote
Is BitcoinSV a Bitcoin topic or alt coin?
It's an altcoin created by the fraud Craig W AKA faketoshi. Don't fall for this.

Well explained. Though the name is Satoshi Vision, it's nowhere near the vision of satoshi. And i'ts a fork from Bitcoincash, not even the bitcoin. It's a cheap popularity project from Craig Wright.
Craig Wright is lose witted person, and Bitcoin SV would soon be doomed along with the old rag. Stay away from that coin.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is the crypto bull run June 2019 on: June 16, 2019, 07:29:25 AM
More than 15% of the total bitcoin volume is coming from Bitmex which is a fiat to crypto exchange and most of the buy are from USD which makes this rise sustainable at least for some time. The next largest volume is coming from Negocie Coins which are being bought by Brazilian real.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another U.S. Crypto Ban!? It's time for US to take ACTION! on: June 16, 2019, 03:35:44 AM
Binance.com stopping to give services to people from US does NOT mean US banned crypto! how do you even come up with that kind of conclusion?!

the only thing that it shows is that Binance.com does not want to or can not comply with US anti money laundering laws, it is possible that they are laundering money specially with all their tokens that they keep creating out of thin air without them being backed by anything (exactly what Bitfinex does with Tether).

it is also because they are creating a new platform for US citizens only https://www.coindesk.com/binance-says-its-launching-a-us-exchange-with-fincen-registered-partner

We have the right to financial freedom and congress must hear us.

you gain financial freedom when you use a decentralized currency (ie. bitcoin) not a centralized website/service called Binance.

In fairness, the OP has brought up a good point regarding the antiquated laws of the U.S. in relation to crypto. The U.S. has several agencies that are in conflict over the definition and treatment of cryptocurrencies, and they are simultaneously trying to exert pressure into the space. This has the effect of inconveniencing investors as companies must stop servicing Americans. Unclear regulations also prevent new companies from raising the capital they need to compete.

Fortunately, Binance will offer a website specifically for Americans, but it seems unclear when this will be available. There isn't a ban on crypto, but the lack of regulatory clarity is stifling competition.

US had categorize a lot of popular coin as securities that won't be able to traded freely as other cryptocurrencies inside the US. So, though they get an exchange, it would be limited to few options which too can come into shadow of SEC and define them something else or just illegal.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price of coins starts in green on: June 16, 2019, 03:31:51 AM
It's great to see how largely the coins have increased in the last 6 months. The OP made this post just 6 months ago when price of bitcoin was struggling around 3.5K to 4K but at current time, bitcoin is going over 9K, thats more than doubling in 6 months. The patience of crypto holders being awarded.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters risk on ERC20 tokens in ICO on: June 16, 2019, 03:29:09 AM
and will only unlock it maybe after they dump all their shares and run away.

I realize it could be done to devoid bounty participants of rewards. But not all projects are scam and it could be a good move to stabilize the price before completion of the roadmap. ICO takes money to start a business and if people start selling their tokens before the business yields profit, the price of the token may crash. Locking can be misused but it's a good tool to check the price of token and stop it from crashing.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eterbase turned out to be a scam! on: June 15, 2019, 10:54:59 AM
Eterbase had red flags from the start. They have an insensitive team which doesn't answer any acquisition but starts blaming the accuser. They are doing a large promotion but I don't think they'll be able to pay as people now are cautious about where their money is going. They won't be able to scam a large sum.
They are doing a large promotion but I don't think they'll be able to pay as people now are cautious about where their money is going. They won't be able to scam a large sum.
But they have a bounty campaign manager that is reputable member of the forum. I think sapta will not put his reputation at risk if he knows that he's working to a bad project. I haven't digged up the issue regarding this but looking at the volume of their coin, it's huge IMO.

No you are not allowed to talk about eterbase scamming people. They have connections with people here and everywhere in the media. You might get a red trust even for accusing them.
They also have connections with the godfather and you might get a button pushed inside of you wherever you are.
354  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to open a separate trading platform for US on: June 15, 2019, 10:11:47 AM

I think the first one is more likely, but I don't think they will have access to hundreds. I'm gearing more towards like what Huobi did; with Huobi Global having the hundreds of cryptocurrencies, while Huobi(US) only has access to like more or less 20.

It's due to SEC of USA categorizing most of the crypto as securities and having a different set of regulations that is difficult for a crypto exchange to fulfill. Binance US would also be in full compliance with SEC and consist of few number of crypto but most probably have an option of fiat deposit and withdrawal.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Verification of identity compulsory on transactions over $1000 on: June 15, 2019, 10:07:34 AM
In the case of most exchanges without KYC/AML like Binance, you can take advantage of this by simply creating multiple accounts.
At the moment, sure, but when these new laws come in to place doing so will be a crime, and Binance will be fined if they allow it to happen. Even if they don't go down the route of full KYC, which I suspect they will, they will definitely start clamping down on multiple accounts doing this using the same deposit or withdrawal addresses or coming from the same IP address.

$1000 limit would destroy the trading business of crypto. That's the reason we move to decentralized exchanges, the real decentralized ones that does not asks for KYC. Unless we need to deposit from or withdraw as fiat, we would not require to follow the law of FATF if we use decentralized exchange. Withdrawing and depositing would be fine with $999 a day.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Courses on: June 15, 2019, 09:59:59 AM
For the basics, you could start with video courses. Than move on to online courses that makes you get into everything systematically and lastly you need to move into piles of text in order to be able to achieve some programming knowledge in blockchain. Theoretical part are very important when you start but it's all practice and experiments when you have the knowledge about the technology and how it works.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you suggest participate in airdrop? why? on: June 15, 2019, 09:39:04 AM
It all sums up to your own personal preference and how you use it.
Airdrop are generally free money that you get without any tasks to complete, some may require to verify you email along with providing your address.
If the airdrop is providing significant amount then you can participate in it. Asking KYC for airdrop is unethical and such airdrops should be avoided.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Failed to Break the Resistance Level of $ 0.40, Is This a Sign of the End of on: June 14, 2019, 01:15:46 PM
Let's not talk about the end as crypto market is highly unpredictable.
But we can easily analyze that Ripple has failed to achieve what they have been promising for years. They do have some partnership and endorsement but they couldn't achieve any milestones nor they could develop their said blockchain or exchange. They posed no challlange to Swift but are not even the most used currency for crypto transfers.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY DO NEW PROJECTS PLUMMETS AT FIRST MARKET ENTRY on: June 14, 2019, 11:33:18 AM
It depends on the distribution and holding of the tokens.
The tokens on it's pre-sale are much more cheaper than the ICO price. Sometimes half the price.
After the token gets listed, the initial price are generally around the ICO price which is 100% profit for the early investors. So, they put on a sell wall and keeps on decreasing the price. This starts a panic sell from every investors leading to low price of the coin.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swapping useless ERC20 Tokens on: June 14, 2019, 10:09:47 AM
You can just transfer your useful tokens to a new wallet and forget you had an old one. That way you would get rid of them.
I use 3 types of wallets. 1 for airdrops, my trash wallet. Another for bounty, my earning wallet. And another for the tokens I buy, my trading wallet.
Any promising coins from 1st and 2nd would come to the third.
