It baffles me that after a number of months in which millions of users have lost billions of dollars worth of crypto to various CEXs scamming, going bankrupt, shutting down, etc., people still try to claim that CEXs are safe or somehow better than trading peer to peer. Sending your coins to a CEX is one of the riskiest things you can do with your bitcoin.

On the second point of the US Bitcoin regulation, I think it's early to consider that the USA or any major country is going to make Bitcoin a legal tender except for Russia. China has its own agenda of Digital Yuan and for the USA and European countries, i think it's quite hard to accept the BTC as legal tender for many reasons market domination in the economy is a major one.

OP, first of all.... you do not "invest" in Bitcoin... you simply buy bitcoins to use it.... BUT you can (like you do with Forex trading) ..buy & sell bitcoins to trade with it. People have these wild ideas that Bitcoin was developed as a "Commodity" ...but it is actually supposed to be an alternative currency to Fiat currencies.

The problem are that governments are protecting their local Fiat currencies, so they do not want to allow Bitcoin to be used as a currency, so they define it as a "Commodity" 

Ok so i am always looking for ways to earn on my idle bitcoin, i was lucky enough to pull out of celsius a month before disaster and they closed up shop. I know that i will never trust a cefi platform again for earning on my bitcoin. I could go the the other route which is defi. But with defi i am not interested in converting my bitcoin into something like wrapped bitcoin.

So if i am not interested in cefi or really much of the defi way what else is out there? I am not really an expert on crypto but i ve been around it since 2017 but like i said i am always looking for ways to earn with the bitcoin i have.

If there isnt really anything out that is relatively safe i am happy to continue hodling it on my ledger. But if any of you guys are aware of something new that i havnt heard of please feel free to let me know thanks.

I was very happy  to joined bitcointalk. org November 7 2020, but I came to discovered one thing in the community that is making me wondering, if bitcoiners don't trust themselves by seeing themselves face to face like the way church members or Muslim members love themselves by seeing themselves face to face after the service. Going to three years now, am trying to see some of the bitcoiners in my area to discuss with them how to join hands together to promote Bitcoin in the society but they said they prefer discussing it online than see each other physical.
Are they ashame to be a bitcoiners? or they are among the people that think Bitcoin is a scam?
