Did you ever find yourself thinking: that user just sent me x merits, I will go through his/her post history and find something to merit? That thought has often popped into my head, and I have indeed done it a few times myself.
Although if anyone does this, the intention is not bad but sometimes if you do this regularly and repeatedly then people might suspect that you are alt of each other and meriting your own accounts. For me, it better to merit posts as you see them and not necessarily try to go through the entire post history to find a post to give merit. |

What happens to your money if you leave it on the exchange and forget about it? Will they write off the money for inactivity?
Currently there is no such policy in majority of the exchanges but if they got this idea, they will surely implement it. The exchanges don't let go any money making opportunity. By the way, are there still people around us who would like to keep money on the exchanges ? It's been taught everywhere not to keep any extra money on exchanges on which you are not trading. |

But come to think of it could there be any need to hold back an smerit if a post duely deserve it or is it been politicised that is given based on connection, influence, constant participation. I believe it is meant to be awarded irrespective of individuals. Quality posts deserve to be acknowledged with credibility so as to encourage participants on the forum to do more and put in more effort.
Your post is a little bit confusing because there should be no advantage of keeping the smerit and not distributing it. If you just keep the smerits with you if will not only delay the progress of other quality posters ranking up but also it will discourage them to research and make good posts. |

I haven't seen but I have heard stories of traders trading as low as $10 and making thousands of such trade, you having luck on your side and the right knowledge can make you turn a $10 investment into $50 within weeks or months of trading, and it isn't impossible to achieved. Lets take a look at $doge currency, over the last 3 months it has done be almost 2000% return if investment that's turning a $10 capital into $200. While capital is very vital in profiting from the industry it isn't the main deal because even with all the capital in the world and without the experience, skills, right information and mindset, you're most likely not going to have a profitable/good time trading. In all industry, your capital has a role to play but there are far more important thing than capital and with you having those, you're on the path the success. There are very few people who are too much lucky to convert 10$ in to thousand of dollars but on the other hand there are many stories where people have lost thousands of dollars in trading. Generally, a very low capital will take a lot of time before you have a good amount of money in hand to get advantage of trading. |

Seeing the progress of binance coin in just a short span of time is very promising which made us think that there is a very high possibility that it can out perform ethereum and I do believe on it that if the development and progressive innovation of binance developer continues it can surely surpasses and out rank Ethereum.
I agree with your opinion . And with the current very high cost of ethereum gas, more and more BSC users are using the network as well as the number of projects that have joined the Binance network. I would say that binance coin bnb and binance smart chain can compete with ethereum in terms of price but they cannot take over in terms of technology. Ethereum is pure decentralized chain and its hard for anyone including bsc to compete it. |

To avoid this, you need to have it on exchange from the very beginning. |

Yes, but usually it only happens if the whole thread is deleted rather than specific posts.
On a side note, there should be option to delete your own thread/post on all condition (locked thread, located on archival section, etc.).
Normally i noticed that sometimes if a thread is started by a newbie and for some reason it is deleted (thread topic being misleading or scamming) , it got deleted and therefore our posts also gets deleted in that thread and we do not get the notification of the deleted posts. If you see a fresh thread by newbie, just give it sometime to see if its stays or not. Usually the thread get deleted within few hours and if it does not then it wont be deleted. That's my observation. |

Doge is being overblown, it is Elon Musk who is driving people crazy about Doge.
Investing in and holding Doge at this point can easily get you into Fomo.
Although i am not a big fan of Doge coin but the coin is in a fomo and hype. If you want to invest in it, then only put a small amount of your portfolio in the doge coin and sell them once its pump. Do not think of holding it for long time as it will back to less than 50 satoshi in few months once the hype is over. |

Although depending on different projects they have their own channels to discuss their issues privately, so I don't think it is an important issue.
I think they are not aware of the popularity of the forum. Even if the projects gets a lot of attention on social media and youtube, but why leave a platform like bitcointalk where they could get a lot of investors too ? I think someone needs to tell them about this platform so they can advertise here too. If they are still not interested, that does not effect the popularity of this forum. |

Some users are not interested in the merit system and they may ignore the OP, quality poster, and important information from send of merit. They didn't care about anything to do with merit until one day they realized that regardless of the number of post, activity, merit were a condition for rank up. Regarding spam behavior, it can't be avoided here. However, we can still do the eradication effort only by reporting a number of badly quality post to moderator.
The uses who do not care about the merits here are the one who do not come here often. They could be anyone who come here to get some knowledge or others who only use bitcointalk to advertise their services. On the other hand, if there is anyone who do not care about about merits and keep on posting and one day see that merit is the requirement to rank up, then he is an ignorant person probably a shit poster who do not care to read the forum rules. |

The project is doing great. With Sushi swap listing, i must say that https://coinmarketcap.com/ and https://www.coingecko.com/ should track this coin with proper marketcap listing. It looks like ApeSwap really wants to compete with PancakeSwap, we can understand this from the last words of their article. and i like that. PancakeSwap is on the rank 61 on coingecko with marketcap of around $1,575,000,000. It won't be easy for ApeSwap to beat PancakeSwap but it will give a good competition. |
