Really really waiting for the DeepSend and smart contracts! Think it will be awesome for DeepOnion ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Good things take time, though. The DeepOnion team is focused on code rebase now. After that, it might be DeepSend's turn.

It’s really nice seeing the development of DeepOnion progress in all stages. These plugins will help DeepOnion reach more people.

I have no regrets at all. I've gained an enormous amount of knowledge about cryptocurrencies and how the market works, I've met good people who have helped me understand the inner workings of the crypto world, and as a bonus, I've made some money and I could potentially make a lot more. I couldn't possibly ask for more, losses are part of the crypto game but I only have some wasted profit at this point.

Yeah, those facts are also mentioned in the other article too. Imagine that, they kept stealing funds and Cryptopia could do nothing. We definitely shouldn’t be leaving our funds in exchanges for longer than we need to trade them. I think exchanges may come and go. We may try to retaining the current exchanges, but keep trying to list at other exchanges, even if new. Also, remember never hold (in exchanges) more than what you can afford to lose or try to spread these coins among exchanges so that even if an exchange gets hacked, though you might lose some, you still have your most of coins. The good news is that DeepOnion is not dependent on any single exchange because it’s listed on many. That means no one can contact the DeepOnion team and try to extort money by threatening to delist DeepOnion. And that’s a relief.

Cryptopia has been hacked, Kucoin has put DeepOnion under “probation”... Those who didn’t think that listing on multiple exchanges was important, tell me again how that’s working out for you? Kudos to the DeepOnion team and the community for giving DeepOnion listings in multiple exchanges, thus ensuring that whatever happens, DeepOnion will always be traded somewhere.
it's always better to have smth in reserve. some news regarding cryptopia: https://deeponion.org/community/threads/costly-and-careful-details-of-16m-attack-on-cryptopia-revealed.41330Wow, $16 million in cryptocurrencies stolen... Cryptopia people should really have been more careful, the article suggests that they had all their private keys in one server.

Regarding The Article That Mentions Vulnerabilities Of Some Coins
https://deeponion.org/community/threads/regarding-the-article-that-mentions-vulnerabilities-of-some-coins.41301/
Recently an article about newly found vulnerabilities of some coins was published. (for example https://www.zdnet.com/article/security-flaws-found-in-26-low-end-cryptocurrencies/ (Security flaws found in 26 low-end cryptocurrencies | ZDNet)).
The research team contacted us a few months ago and asked us to check whether DeepOnion is affected by the issues. The dev team investigated the issues and concluded that the described issues will not affect DeepOnion.
These vulnerabilities won't cause any loss of the coins, it will only cause the wallet client to crash (due to resource exhaustion). DeepOnion is using the original PoS scheme from PeerCoin, it does not use the so-called "PoSv3" where the vulnerability is discovered (actually the dev team always thinks the original PoS scheme by PeerCoin is the best).
This being said, the dev team has tightened our checks in the wallet when a new block arrives. This further enhances the security of the DeepOnion. The new release (version 1.8.0) today includes the security enhancement.
Although it is not mandatory to upgrade the wallet, the users are highly encouraged to upgrade to take advantage of better security. DeepOnion dev team is always taking the security very seriously and is actively improving the features and quality of the coin. Please be assured that you are with one of the best teams in the cryptocurrency space and we will always take care of any issues promptly and competently should they arise.![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fdeeponion.org%2Fcommunity%2Fattachments%2Fv182-png.186374%2F&t=663&c=aiPWnyo4wfhLiw) That's a very responsible stance. I will update my wallet as soon as possible.

Sounds good, especially the part that doesn’t require KYC.

Great feedbacks from the people about VoteCentral. The app is growing and improving every day, that´s awesome!
A lot people using this platform every day, so i'm not surprised to see a lot good feedback ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) There are some very good suggestions too, I know that the DeepOnion team will read this feedback and make good improvements ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

He seems like a cool guy, actually, I saw some of his tweets. And let's be honest, pretty much no one could see that Bitcoin would end up being priced in thousands of dollars. We can laugh about these tweets from the past now but we didn't invest in these prices either. I knew about Bitcoin before 2017 but ended up starting in crypto in 2017. Why is that? Because like thousands, millions of other people, I underestimated it. At least we're in DeepOnion early enough ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

another reminder not to keep ur funds on exchanges if u ain't trading atm. So true, but I was swing trading to accumulate some sweet onions. Some funds are stolen some not as I understand what happened to cryptopia. Maybe someone knows if onions still are in cryptopias or hackers hands.... Maybe only ETH-based tokens were affected but this isn't confirmed an nobody is sure about the information. I suggest to wait for an official announcement because everything else you read is speculation. Your point is interesting, can you check the cryptopia address you sent the ONION to and see if your ONION is still there? Maybe others can confirm this as well. I think the hack mainly affected Ether, among two other lesser known coins. DeepOnion was not there. So, DeepOnion is probably not affected. I think even if somebody would have Ether, if these three coins have been used for buying bids or selling by somebody, they too might have gotten locked and so might have been saved as hacker might be needing to cancel all buying and selling orders (of three coins) first before withdrawing these coins. Let's not make more idle speculations. The moment that people have access to their funds again, we should have confirmation of whether any of the funds are missing or not. Assuming that Cryptopia will permit access to the accounts at some point. we can expect such a decision given the exchange should take care of its reputation. Sure, I don't see Cryptopia as disreputable or anything like that, at least not without proof. Shit happens. It can happen to any exchange if the wrong person is in a position allowing them to steal funds.

Yep, VoteCentral is working great for anyone willing to work for it. This system should actually be adopted by new coins that want to promote themselves instead of the flawed bounty campaigns that I see going on in here. About 47 VoteCentral supporters working every day to let people know about DeepOnion! And we're also working to raise those numbers by raising awareness about VoteCentral.

as u may noticed we're above 1M block now. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Congratulations to the winner!

That’s good. I had downloaded SatoWallet in the past but it didn’t work that well on my device. I’ll give it another try.
