Heh, dude, that's so cool, can I be your friend  Grin
342  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 29, 2014, 09:49:40 PM
Yeah, I've been having issues accessing PBMining as well from the Netherlands. Most of the riches are in the wallet now though (YAY for PayDay!), so not much to see. Or actually... already spent today's payment. Oink...
343  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: June 29, 2014, 07:53:41 PM
No one can prove otherwise. Why do you think there's 24 pages (and growing) of talks back and forth?! Everyone who says it's a ponzi is wrong until right, everyone who says it isn't is right until wrong. Page 25 soon...
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 29, 2014, 11:51:52 AM
I am sorry for the harsh words. Just to let you know I came here screaming scam because the issue is still not resolved and you know how things go down in btc world this is how it starts small problems here and there then unresolved tickets ... and the bada boom oh sorry we were hacked and we didnt know about it so you are screwed see you later... thats how it always goes down correct me if I am wrong?
Well, okay, I can understand that chain of thought. Yes, when fatal crap happens it shows in an increasing amount of little shitty things. But from my point of view, I've been with scrypt.cc since February, not the exact beginning but a few weeks later, and I've seen a lot of ups and downs. Especially during March there were serious attacks on scrypt.cc, heavy DDOS attacks day in day out combined with hack attacks. Scypt.cc didn't fall over. In fact, it came out stronger with heavier DDOS armor. Technically it means these guys know what they are doing, they're not just a bunch of hobbyists who thought about starting this cool thing, they know the whole shebang, from beginning to end. So, technically they can handle things, which is why I don't worry about hacks.

But when it comes to software, well, it's not perfect. There are bugs here and there, unfortunately, but such things are not uncommon and usually do not foretell pending doom.

Lastly, support has gone down the last... bunch of weeks. This is one of the things that get noticed and it's one of the things that actually keeps the scammy aura alive. I don't know why or how. They have a new datacenter which eats up time, but I don't know what's going on. I just hope they'll improve on this point. They already have improved a little bit by hiring two guys to help out, but they can only help with external issues as only admins have rights to actually do things. But, and this is mentioned before, so far none of my issues remains unsolved. This one won't either I suspect, so yeah, I'm not worried. Just wishing it would be handled quicker.

In other news, Payday is coming, in combination with a BTC difficulty jump. Will this rare alignment eat up all available hashes in no time? Does it foretell the end of of human civilization?
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 28, 2014, 11:01:43 PM
Cryptsy is starting with USD trading soon and are required to ask for official ID"s before you're allowed to trade even 1 dollar. If they don't, they would be shut down within no time by the government. That's a financial matter that goes way beyond a simple mining contract and requires different credentials.

By the way, in all the examples you show, no customer is holding up signs  Tongue
If GM wants to have extensive appraisal pages, then fine, might not be a bad idea, but no company will ask it's customers to hold up signs just because a very tiny portion of potential customers have extensive (actually I'm thinking unreasonable) legitimacy demands.

Would it help if I did that?! Would it make GM suddenly more reliable for you? Or would you go about thinking it might be a setup still...
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 28, 2014, 08:20:31 PM
Are you serious? You think any company will go ask it's customers to please make a nice sign with name, and stuff on there, stand before a blank background holding up the sign and then make a picture and send an unedited full blown version so someone else can post that on the internet?! Dude, please tell me you're just kidding!

If any company would ask me such a thing the only pic they would get is the one below, accompanied by a nice bye bye letter
348  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: June 28, 2014, 04:16:37 PM

Regarding if they are a ponzi: btc-arbs admin was tracked down and now he cant be so sure about his and his family security, if someone else is risking to get into this position let them. It will be even easier to track down Bitcoin-trader.
Hmm... I wonder why so many startups are done anonymously  Undecided
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 28, 2014, 11:58:50 AM

Okay, to make 1 BTC per month at this point in time you would need like 14Mhs versus 1.3Ths

14Mhs at Genesis-Mining = $2520 / 4.2BTC (but you can still get a 3% discount on this  Cheesy )
1.4Ths at PBMining (talking about food for pseudo-promises...) = $3000 / 5BTC

Well, it was late last night and those numbers are off. The Bitcoin numbers, that is.
14Mhs at Genesis-Mining = $2520 / 4.2BTC ( $2444 / 4.1 BTC with 3% discount  Cheesy )
1.3Ths at PBMining = $2580 / 4.3BTC

I've used the next Bitcoin difficulty adjustment, coming within 24 hours, and use 0.0033 BTC per Ghs at PBMining instead of the current 0.0036.

Now, if you also keep in mind that difficulty for Bitcoin is still growing way faster then difficulty for a wide array of scrypt coins, then in that sense scrypt mining will have a MUCH better return over time then Bitcoin mining at, currently, one of the cheapest Cloudhash providers (I'll not go into whether PBM is real or not, there are other threads for that). On the other hand, scryptcoins tend to lose value easier against Bitcoin and subsequently also don't benefit as much of happy investors as Bitcoin does.

And no, you're not the only one, Ian. I like GM's openness, but even more, their responses to questions and issues.

350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 28, 2014, 10:46:54 AM

Going forward, you might want to include the ability to click on a person's image to get a full body shot of them holding a sign reading their name (First name, last initial), location (country at least), and something directly related to Genesis Mining (ie "genesis-mining.com"; twitter handle; facebook url [excluding the "facebook.com"]). Furthermore, this full image shouldn't be touched-up or anything beyond resizing (500x500 should do nicely).
Wow. I'm getting really dark visions in my head when I read that. In short, that's WAY beyond reasonable. If somebody is willing to do so, fine, but you can't ask that of people, you can't even think about asking such a thing.

It's useless as well, because those who question everything, will also question the legitimacy of a pic provided in exactly this manner, or any manner. And you, as a professional questioner, should know that, Illutian.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 28, 2014, 12:49:25 AM
I assume every crypto company is out to screw me and I assume a payment is lost as soon as I hit the send button. But that doesn't stop me. It only tells me to stop and look closer before I roll my coins out the door. And after that it takes a long time for me to get to a certain level of trust, but GM is doing rather well.

I fully agree on the muddied water though. Bitcoin was supposed to be secure, but there's virtually no protection from scams, for any coin, other then the fortress you build for yourself
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 27, 2014, 11:14:19 PM
Well, thanks for your insights then, Illutian. Cool that you spotted the pic, but really, I still think you're making more out of this silly pic then it's worth.

Illutian, you are welcome to meet members of our team in Munich, Germany or any Bitcoin conference around the globe that we attend. Just let us know which you prefer and we'll arrange a meeting.

Next time I'm in Munich I'll let you guys know , or is the invitation only for those with healthy criticism? Tongue

Hi,

If i calculate correct you need around 1.2TH in cex in order to have around 0,35 btc per 24h
1.2 TH right now costs 8.9 btc

With that money you can have ~32 Mh in GM and not fees and not the difficulty increase of btc (which was the reason to left from cex) and an average of ~0,45btc

Maybe i am calculating something wrong...

Its not about 4khash, but more on not enough support or scaming... and if you are not worried about 135khash vanishing then I am sure you are a billionair or a moron to trust this site...

Well, since I'm not a billionaire I must be a moron then according to your standard. Not very respectful, is it?! But fine, it's your standard not mine. You go fret about support and scams and make it hard on yourself, while I sit back and wait for support to come with an answer. I guess in a way I may be a billionaire still Wink

What I see is that there was a nice increase in income on June 21 to 23 Jun. Before and after those days income was around the same. Just a nice bump which didn't last very long unfortunately. Probably some coin that did very well those days, and that's one of the benefits of mining the most profitable coins. Downside is, hmm, coins are volatile. Nothing new there Smiley

So, there's nothing odd about the numbers you see, DoubleU. You entered on the top of a hill Smiley

If you invest in more, pick one the nice discount codes available in this thread (and my signature)

...
I really don't understand how anyone can look at that guy's alleged photo and say "yep, that's legit".
...
Heh, I really don't understand why anyone would even look at testimonials. I've never seen any that looked legit, so why care about a silly pic
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: June 27, 2014, 11:41:24 AM
Marco K from GM has explained why, they just check the payments to verify all is well before paying out. I suppose as more and more people are signing up, this takes longer and longer which is why they are going to employ some more staff.
...
Sooo... When can i start
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 27, 2014, 08:02:22 AM
4Khs. You 're pulling out over ...ummm... less then a dollar? I'm waiting on a missing 135Khs and I'm not thinking about pulling out on (one of) the best rewarding pool(s). I expect things to turn out okay, as they always have.

Though... this week or next week  Roll Eyes
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 26, 2014, 10:34:27 AM
Sooo... Something buggy was discovered. Let's not wait for the developers to fix things, but publicly warn people it might be a scam, as that's normal procedure here on these forums when discovering bugs and spelling mistakes.

Happened to me too, but things get solved. The only issue I don't like is that it can take a while to get a response. But you will get it.
As for withdrawing, I've deposited and withdrawn several BTC. Sometimes deposits take a while to pop up. I've never had an issue with withdrawals. Biggest withdrawal was 3 or 4 BTC, can't remember exactly. Never had to wait longer then half an hour and usually all is well within minutes even Smiley

EDIT: Checked and I'm way off. 4 BTC withdrawal in total, though three withdrawals are 1BTC or more, and a bunch of smaller ones

Well, just mind your commitment, bholzer! If it sinks below the threshold you will be required to return your Megacoins to the community. And as part of the community I feel I must point you to the address in my signature  Tongue

But stick around. I have a feeling that Megacoin will grow quite a bit stronger. No knowledge, just some ... premonitions. But mostly faith in Kimoto's skills and insights.

Yes, it's a baby girl! Cheesy

And no, no news on the projects yet. In a way that's good news. If it were something simple then we would have seen it already, so it must be a lot more complicated then something next, next, next, OK, and apparently not to be taken lightly or without care.
