341  Economy / Speculation / Re: opinions on downward trend on: January 16, 2018, 02:09:37 AM

Downtrend? I don't see a downtrend there but if the above chart was to break into a downtrend, you might see levels as low at $3K which could be reached in a year or so. It could also break up and see $30K. The soft support at $13500 seems very stubborn. Usually when bitcoin enter's the bear market it's very sharp and deep and you know within days of the ATH that the bear market is on. The bear market entry doesn't just drag on for an entire month. This is uncharted waters.

LOL, now that's funny, on a log scale any chart will look pretty bullish if it  tanks (tanking thousands of dollars is only a slight tick on the chart).
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 16, 2018, 01:35:45 AM
Hehe all those people making fun op OP and his prediction and it's going EXACTLY as predicted, huge sell-off from 14.300 to 12.800. We've also just broken the low from 14 january, another extremely bearish sign. We're going to enter CRASH territory soon now (below $12.600).

Interesting thing is that the guy with his 300 bid size is NOT bidding anymore ... that guy saved it previous times from crashing. He probably is SUPER long already and can't take any more coins. The fun really starts when he's forced to sell.

$12.697 now ...
343  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 16, 2018, 01:32:12 AM
The sell-off is accelerating now. We should see a decent amount of support here, but if it goes below $12.600 then it will start really crashing
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 16, 2018, 12:34:30 AM
And when the price of BTC climbs up to 15k this week, can we finally end this charade you call an analysis?

Sure, in that case OP clearly would have been wrong. But so far so good, BTC is going down rapidly, EXACTLY following the path that OP predicted. It would be nice if it would close the day around these levels ($13.200). The trend then will continue tomorrow. Next stop below $8000 within a week
345  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 09:41:38 PM
SHORTING with MARGIN

Sigh. I've tried to explain you that EVERY single short is with margin, since you're not buying anything but selling someone's elses asset. You're not spending money but you're receiving it for your sale. The margin is just for the owner as a 'deposit' to cover for any losses. Not sure how to get it through to you, but any short is PER DEFINITION on margin. Anyway good luck with your BTC HODL. Its value will be cut in half soon. BTC failed as a payment system, governments are banning it and LN is a joke, no way it's going to recover this time.
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 09:15:23 PM
Not quite the Black Monday —phew! Live another day.
However, the projection is on price and structure, not time.

The chart is moving exactly like you've predicted. Well done! I've good faith that we'll continue down your predicted path.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 07:24:55 PM
keep dreaming.

Nah no dreaming needed, $13.769 currently, exactly like his predictions. So far so good.

@op: if we hit < $8000 within a week, like you predicted, I'm going to donate you $250, promise Smiley
348  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can Lightning network work decentralized ? on: January 15, 2018, 07:12:20 PM

Let’s take another example. Say I have a roommate that pays me .1 btc/mo for rent we would need to open a 3month channel (.3 btc) to make it worth it because that would mean we could bundle 3 transactions into 2 blockchain transactions.

It’s going to be hard for most people to fork over that level of cash. Especially if you need to open multiple channels like that -ie do I really have the btc to open a 3 month payment with my landlord? Probably not because I have a roommate to begin with.

Exactly, very good point. Nobody is going to open a payment channel with his landlord and put 3 years of rent in it. Most people already have difficulty coughing up next month's rent! So effectively this would mean they'd need to wire EACH month money into their LN. Why then would they even do that ? Why not just wire the monthly rent directly on-chain ?
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 06:49:29 PM
We are the 15th of january and nothing happened lol. Bitcoin price is extremely difficult to predict and technical analysis of price charts are also useless.

Did you even look at his chart ? According to his chart it's not even breaking 13.000 today. But 15 january is merely the beginning of the end. We should close today between 14.000 and 13.000, tomorrow again (it will dip briefly below 13.000) and the 18th we'll fall to around 11.000. Then the real sell-off to below $8000 follows the 21th.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 06:43:12 PM
!! Lest I forgot, my 5 year old son can pick up a chart and decide to draw lines and link up anything linkable, thereby predicting whatever he feels like. If that is the case, you may need to do a google search and see how people have used charts to predict the death of bitcoin since 2009/2010 and still counting, so you aren't the first and we are so used to it. However, technically speaking, everything about your chart is wrong.

You can make fun of OP however you like, but fact is that the stock is currently EXACTLY moving like he's predicted: https://uk.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/BuPY7sli-Gartley/
351  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 06:20:21 PM
https://lightning.network/ is where the ticket to lift off lies.

You mean that system where the maximum amount you can pay is determined by the guy with the lowest amount of money in his channel? You mean that system where users can defraud each other? Where users need to be online 24/7 if they want to be part of a payment route? Where insane amounts of data are being sent because the network needs to be aware of EVERYBODY's payment channel's state? Where you still have huge fees if you want to wire money into/outside the channel? That system that's always 'ready in 18 months' ? LOL
352  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 06:14:18 PM
Be careful bruv, trading on margin is very very risky, I hope you make enough money soon to leave that risky world behind.

You're a newby to trading eh. Lesson 1: shorting is ONLY possible with margin. You are not buying anything, you're selling an asset that somebody lends you so you need margin so that the lender knows you're good for it and you can pay for any losses.

Anywhere where's your position blotter photo ?
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 05:30:43 PM
Anyway since you really want to know: http://i68.tinypic.com/2a9uq0x.jpg

So now you're going to shoot a photo of your position ? I showed you mine, now show me yours Smiley
354  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 05:00:38 PM
What is full short btw.. you sold .01btc or something?  Wow, big loss there.  Show me where you went 10 and I'll do the same.

Not sure why you want to compare penises, what does it even matter how much I'm short ? But if you really want to know, I'm currently 8 BTC short. I do have my stops in place, no trade is fail safe and this one could easily go wrong. But so far it's really looking good.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 04:35:47 PM
Oh well, I see your chart and raise you a chart. LOL  They really are meaningless.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/HFpXHq9J-BTCUSD-stick-to-our-old-plan/

LOL, how is that Elliott Wave ? The only thing you draw is that it bounces of support. You don't even look at the 50MA. http://www.usmarkets.nl/images/usr/2018-01/u_10250/bitcoin-1.png
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 04:27:55 PM
Uggg.. Everything points up BTW.. It's already tested the lower support level 5 times.  Duh.
Haha you don't know what you're talking about: https://uk.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/BuPY7sli-Gartley/

I'm remaining full short, just like the big whales. Follow the money.
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 04:18:34 PM
Hmm. What is that I'm sniffing in the air? Is it a cloud of despair or the whiff of just another day?

Don't sweat OP, there's a new Monday like clockwork every damned week.

The OP might very well be wrong, nobody knows what happens. Fact though is that the chart is extremely bearish: EW points to crash, lower tops, trading below MA-50, if it's going below $12.500 I think the panic really might kick in. We'll see, maybe it survives the day but the danger would be far from over.
358  Economy / Speculation / Re: 15-JAN-2018 Crypto Black Monday on: January 15, 2018, 04:09:51 PM
Looking like a Green Monday to me. LOL

Day is just starting. Lower top at $14.400, now down to $14.000, chart remains extremely bearish
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: January 15, 2018, 03:14:56 PM
Yes, a digital coin will keep on rising forever, until even the poorest guy on earth is multimillionaire and nobody has to work anymore.

LOL. This really is the dumbest thread I've ever seen.
360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Market and Wallstreet on: January 15, 2018, 03:12:07 PM
IF anything, wallstreet is SHORT bit coin, not long.

"At Cboe, the big players in bitcoin futures tend to be short, betting the future price will be lower. For instance, among “other reportables”—large trading firms that don’t necessarily manage money for outside investors—short bets outweighed bullish “long” bets by a factor of 2.6 last week."
