Rico, can you tell about 160 key space??  U mean addresses wich begins with 0a-b - 01-9?  or 00 or 000 ?

160 space is the space of the first 2^160 private keys (from 1 to 2^160).

What you mean with: "it is into 60 field of 90?"

Ok thanks i see now .

with 60 or 90 field i meant from directory.io site where 90 is = 904625697166532776746648320380374280100293470930272690489102837043110636675  and i foudn a key in 60 field !

if 90 = 904625697166532776746648320380374280100293470930272690489102837043110636675

Then what does 60 = ?

What was the exact page number you used?

I do not think you meant page 60 of 904625697166532776746648320380374280100293470930272690489102837043110636675 because 15cUJUVUV89sVZGqon6JENAsVRzGB9vch3 does not appear on page 60 and in fact there are no addresses on page 60 that show as having transactions:

http://directory.io/60

Are you saying you picked a page at random 60xxxxx...xxxx and by chance found an address (15cUJUVUV89sVZGqon6JENAsVRzGB9vch3) which had been used?

If so, what is the exact page number?

Yes, 15cUJUVUV89sVZGqon6JENAsVRzGB9vch3 has been used but it now contains 0 BTC.

https://blockchain.info/address/15cUJUVUV89sVZGqon6JENAsVRzGB9vch3

Note, coming up with a page that contains a used address or an address that currently contains BTC does not prove anything.  I can do that.  All I have to do is get one of my old private keys, calculate the page number and viola I can post that by chance I picked a page with a used address on it.

How is it going to work with 1 Trillion coins?
The same way it would work with 1 million coins where each coin can be divided up into 1 million millionths of a coin.

What was your question again?
343  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Matching public key with directory.io - why so difficult? on: November 17, 2017, 05:18:00 PM
would it be possible to create the same site by not generating private keys but hash160?

Generating a private key takes very little time.  In the case of directory.io the private keys for the page are simply calculated from the page number.  In the case of a real key pair generation the private key is a secure random 256 bit number.  In the case of the LBC the private key started at 1 and incremented from there (they are currently creating and testing key pairs with the private keys around 253.22 or 10,490,987,492,010,478).

Once you have the private key, which is very easy, then you have to calculate the public key which is a point on an elliptic curve.  The equation looks simple (Public Key) = (Private Key) * G but it is a bit involved since G is a point on a curve and * is the scalar multiplication function defined over the points on the curve.

Remember all public keys are point on a curve so they are X, Y coordinates.  For elliptic curves for every X coordinate there are exactly two possible Y coordinates which are easy to calculate so to "remember" a specific point on the curve we can either remember the X and the Y coordinate or just the X coordinate and a single bit to tell us which of the two possible Y coordinates to use.  This means there is a "compressed" form of the public key (the X coordinate and one additional bit = 256 + 1 = 257 bits) and and "uncompressed" form of the public key (the X coordinate and the Y coordinate = 256 + 256 = 512 bits).

Once you have the public key you can now generate the Bitcoin address which is defined as a specific ASCII encoding of the triple hashing of the public key plus some check bytes.

Since for every public key there are two ways we can represent it (compressed and uncompressed) this means that for every public key there will be two possible forms for the Bitcoin address.  If you start with the compressed form of the public key you end up with the compressed version of the Bitcoin address.  If you start with the uncompressed form of the public key you end up with the uncompressed form of the Bitcoin address.

What was your question again?

Hi! No more free rounds of distribution??? 4th November was the last?

Cheers
We can always hope that there are no more rounds of distribution and that all the remaining bytes will be used to hire developers, get more merchants, and build out the system.  That would be fantastic.

Can anyone send or refer me to a step by step guide on how to sell Blackbytes? I have tried a few times and can't seem to figure it out.
1) Install one of the three available chat aps on your wallet.
2) Go to it
3) type "help"

For example:

The BEEB help sends you to http://www.beeb-bot.com/ plus dumps a list of commands (D, L, X, B, etc.)
The Freebe help sends you to http://freebe.byte-ball.com plus give you a "help" link that describes all the commands (name, status, settings, buy, sell, etc.)
The Buy blackbytes displays simple help

Inchalright i've read the Forbes post now and the phrase I had to study a few times to get was InchOpen Money found Chinese wise money." I suppose simply because i believed of Open Cash much more from a Retail consumer perspective not really a seedling money venture capital perspective. I can imagine both sides viewing the potential of Open Profit China.I believe the job crypto teams in the far east will work with the federal government, as mentioned in the article and it'll simply be dependent on time prior to China modifications and constitutes a more formal thanks for visiting crypto. In the mean time it is wonderful how stateless crypto is, regardless of how big a country is that makes it illgeal, the marketplace isn't large enough to ride it out and soar!
What a load of shit.  A very long winded account farmer.

Congrats!  0.54 BTC so about $4000 right now.  I see your are estimating 40 to 135 days for the next one.  Happy hunting!
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Safely Claim Bitcoin Gold on: November 16, 2017, 01:07:07 PM
From what I understand Bitcoin Gold has implemented full replay protection, equivalent to Bitcoin Cash.

The wallet I use, Trezor, posted they would not support Bitcoin Gold until they implemented replay protection.  Since they did implement it to the satisfaction of Trezor they have now posted they will soon support it.  As soon as they push out a new version of the firmware for the Trezor wallet with Bitcoin Gold support I expect to claim my Bitcoin Gold as easily as I claimed my Bitcoin Cash and then I will have to decide what to do with it:  sell or hold.  It is JAAC (Just Another Alt Coin) so I may sell it all.  On the other hand I may buy some for my IRA as a long term hold just for the heck of it.

I'd hate to rain down on your parade but in case of bytes, powers of two actually make sense. It was not lazy. Whoever later "decided" that 1 KB = 1000 bytes was a moron, whenever it's published on NIST or not. It's not used by anyone. Universities don't teach it that way. Your operating system (whenever if it's windows or linux) doesn't show it that way. 1 KB = 1000 bytes is only in the head of some senile bureaucrats that don't understand technology and memory alignment. Just because a bureaucrat says the earth is flat it doesn't mean it is. You can't wish it that way, just like you can't make a memory chip that holds exactly 1000 bytes of information. Bytes are stored in binary. That's the reality.
You could not be more wrong if you tried.

Kilo (K), Mega (M), Giga (G), Tera (T), etc. were powers of 10 long before they were lazily used as powers of two for devices that happen to address in binary, for example computer memory chips.

Kibi (Ki), Mebi (Mi), Gibi (Gi), Tebi (Ti) etc. are the accepted and internationally standardized prefixes for powers of 2.

Therefore 1 Kilobyte is 1000 bytes, 1 Kibibyte is 1024 bytes.  If you use 1 Kilobyte to say 1024 bytes you are wrong.

currently of the worst coins of the polo. total deception

What's the deception?

That activity mining pretends to be real.

So your belief is that proof-of-stake is not "real" mining?

Activity mining refers to people making one-line vaguely-on-topic (just enough so that they don't get deleted) comments on the forum so their activity and rank increases and they can sell their account for a higher price. The people/bots doing this aren't really paying attention, so they usually don't participate in the conversation or answer questions. It is usually best to just ignore them although reporting to the forum mods is an option (they are overworked and have to prioritize more serious abuse so this often doesn't accomplish anything). The practice is rampant and has been going on for years.

(previous comment above this one also)

I call it "account farming" as these assholes usually are "growing" multiple accounts at the same time.  So, your comment was about the stupidity of the original comment.  All cleared up now.

What I like to do is wait until they have a pretty good post count like over 100 and then report them to the mods and get the account deleted.  That way all their efforts get flushed down the toilet and they have to start over.  If we all do that consistently then maybe they will learn it is not worth the effort and stop doing it.  But I am not holding my breath.

Ah, that is a much more interesting question.  If the author wanted to use the binary SI prefix as opposed to decimal SI prefixes then they should have used gibi instead of giga.  But, not everyone is aware of this or does it consistently:

BTW 1 gibibyte = 230 = 1,073,741,824, not 1,024,000,000 [1 GiB is 1,024 x 1 MiB which is 220 = 1,048,576]
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 14, 2017, 03:14:45 PM
How many bytes i need to have to be 1Gigabyte? I have some bytes but i need to know to buy the difference until i get 1GB.
Where on Earth do you live?  You have never heard of the metric system?  Does this ring a bell?

giga = 109 = 1,000,000,000

Wherever you got your "education" you need to go and immediately demand a refund.

Hi everyone
I saw your topic yesterday and from yesterday I tried to find the key for account number 54 with my own program. For now, I have already tested more than 16,777,216 keys to find the key for that account, which has been not answered so far.
I know this as a benchmark for my own calculations. we'll see soon Who will succeed. I'm not likely.
You are trying about 17,000,000 per day.

LBC is trying about 190,000,000,000,000 per day.

Also, if you are sequentially searching the space for the number 54 then you are just searching addresses that LBC has already searched.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just join LBC?

I asked in his thread about what speeds my GPUs would get and my post was deleted.
I believe there is a list of supported GPUs either in that thread or on the web site.

Was Distribution skipped in Oct or something? Huh  I haven't opened my Byteball wallet for a while until recently.  I saw that I got an airdrop on 9-6 and then another on 11-4.  I have not touched my wallet for months, I'm wondering what happened to the Oct airdrop?

There was no airdrop in October.

Was there a reason for this?  i remember the airdrops being Monthly before or am i thinking of another coin?

Any info on who published this puzzle and what's their goal? Also, how would one go on about calculating those pvk decimal values and covert them to the private keys?

I don't know why but I'm smelling a big scam. Because a newbie that offer more than 12 000€ to solve a following of numbers this is strange...

The OP is not offering anything
The goal is to waste our valuable time, what does the OP get for sloving those Puzzles? Does it is a program language or something to get solved?
Anyone or any group solving the puzzle, for example this group who are currently trying about 190 trillion addresses per day, get valuable Bitcoins every time they solve one of the addresses in the puzzle transaction.
