341  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Is The Best Way To Sell Bitcoins For Cash In Person With A Mobile Device? on: October 29, 2013, 06:35:08 AM
You can both use the Bitcoin Wallet for android and cash!  BTC can be transmitted by NFC or by using the QR codes.

After transmitting the coins, wait 1 hour for the 6 confirmations before you part company.

It's very easy.

At this point, you have noticed the price of Bitcoin's go up quite a bit.  Too bad no one replied to your post sooner to see if any of the answers were correct as far as price predictions.

Perhaps this time the driver for the price increase was Janet Yellen.

No, bitcoin in current implementation can not process so many transactions daily that would be necessary. Current limit is about 7 transactions per second

What is the reason for the 7 transactions per second limitation?  Does it have to do with the maximum block size, which will on average cover only 10 minutes of time (which during that time is a maximum of 4200 transactions)?

Wow what an excellent question and answer.  Remember the random number bug found in the Bitcoin Android App?  Some one joked that the code for the Android random number generator was:

Code:
int randomNumber()
{
  return 4;
};

LOL.

There are many places to Buy and Sell bitcoin, each of them have their own prices based on various factors.  MtGox is the highest.  BTC-e is lower.

Indeed, I was once mining LTC and then used BTC-e to sell them.  And I had to mine for 5 days or something to get that 0.1 BTC to withdraw.

I don't mine much any more.  The electricity is too expensive.
