IMO better for a btc financial site or exchange

short and long are key terms in finance

so it's a natural for crypto related news and even an exchange to short or go long on crypto positions

an actual exchange though would be tough due to all the proposed regs on crypto now

so maybe your 'expert' advice on the whole btc game

should you short or should you go long

my .0004btc

OP isn't soliciting ideas for a website - he has one. Take your bitchange somewhere else.

Anyways... just wanted to suggest: add an itinerary of the upcoming comedy shows across the country. Helps to promote your site as a one stop shop Smiley
342  Other / Meta / Re: Little help with an abusive member: Vod - Self Proclaimed forum admin on: July 25, 2014, 06:03:33 AM
Just go on evershawn. If you think Vod is an abusive member and can't help put up your business, forget about him and that negative rep.  You will be wasting more time.

There are group of people that might just be interested to what you are planing.. go to digitalpoint forum. People there might just be interested.

Actually... it's not that people here aren't interested. We've all been redirected/distracted from his proposal since the beginning. He should direct that tenacity towards his business instead of playing a no win game with Vod.
343  Other / Meta / Re: Little help with an abusive member: Vod - Self Proclaimed forum admin on: July 25, 2014, 05:59:04 AM
Wow. Evershawn, you really aren't helping your case. You've done nothing but shoot yourself in the foot repeatedly. You're burying the facts in hyperbole and bullshit, this is a common tactic for trolls, less so for entrepreneurs with a reputation to protect. You've done far more damage to your reputation than anyone else ever could. I mean seriously, you're comparing someone who posted unfavorable things about you on the internet, to Hitler, someone who killed millions of people, while at the same time claiming he's the unreasonable one. You need to take a look at your ranting objectively.

All the horseshit aside, this all started because you asked for a large amount of funding, and then after a few good questions, you immediately jumped to making a self moderated thread. Shady, and I can see where Vod is coming from.

I propose a compromise, you stick to a non self moderated thread, and Vod removes his feedback, since that was his initial concern.

Though truth be told I don't really care what happens here, just a suggestion as an impartial observer.

FINALLY!!! Thank you BadBear!  Kiss I'm so glad I'm not the only one who recognized this.

Is there a reason why the hex value for the main network is missing from source (main.cpp)?

TripleThreat... can you respond to my question before logging off today? Thank you.
Ill have to get PeoplesCurrency to answer that question as he is the programmer , he has been busy with the Electrum wallet , but will be talking to him in a while! and Good Morning to all !!!

Could you go into more detail what this means.

The pchMessageStart hex string is missing from /src/main.ccp. That's a tidbit of info REQUIRED to host pools, it identifies the network. This is suspect to me because look at who has p2pool nodes:

peer pool 1: http://peer1.peoplescurrency.cf:9696/
peer pool 2: http://peer2.peoplescurrency.cf:9696/

Makes sense?

Anyways, I'm starting up several p2pool nodes and was about to bring one online for this coin until I realized the source code I needed was redacted from the file. P2pool strengthens a coin's network but seems the dev must not think so. But this is supposed to be the the Peoples Currency, right? Yet the people can only join selective pools.

This one I won't live down. But if this isn't resolved... best believe I will blast it.

As you can see, when it comes down to Vod being asked to pony up some facts in my case, he doesn't reply. All I have ever asked for is proof of his claims, (which I know are 100% false). He knows he has nothing to produce so he just does not reply to it.

Even if you're blindly one of his fanboys because he's busted some scammers in the past, how do you explain this?

Can you really sit there saying these are the actions of an honest person? I think not....

Vod does this community a favor with calling out scams... although I don't always agree with his justification. He's called out a few that I know of that weren't warranted, but without knowing the full background here, I won't put myself out there. But I will say this:

Vod - the man has a point. That point being he's asked some specifics that it seems you're dancing around. You're the topic of this thread here... can you please entertain us by entertaining the questions to you?

This has lots of potential. Don't sit on it - the idea is out there now.
352  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: July 24, 2014, 05:07:25 AM
Slighty off topic, but isn't an anaphora the repetition of words at the beginning of the sentences?

How do you figure anything at all is off-topic for this thread, given that the only recurring theme is posts ending with a question?

Woa! lol - zhinkk, you gonna take that?

No shit I'm a poor University student, got a problem with that?
Yes I do have a bit of money(I've been working all summer).
I do wish I had more money and I do wish I had more bitcoins.

Get a life Lucky Cris and leave me alone.

I'm a university student too btw Wink so of course I can relate
But I'm also a professional who works everyday
Don't we all?

I have a life & done; I've said what I had to say. You're actions will determine your fate here, not my assessment.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MaskCoin and MaskNetwork on: July 24, 2014, 04:51:24 AM
I don't understand how it is distributed.

Who gets the other 95,000,000 coins to start?

Also don't get why in POS coins those already having coins get so much interest  Huh

No one... some will be available for you to buy... the rest will go the stakeholders "mainly" in the form of interest. Whatever mainly means.

And this isn't decentralized! It's 100% centralized! A beautiful interface that's going to start wave 4, is it? Now we'll be telling everyone that's okay to become a corporation... we don't give a hoot about preventing shit like that anyway, right? Offer a store where I pay you to advertise (well, can't imagine many joe's in this camp will be able to afford prime placement, no fair).... how about a service to "rent" vanity addresses? Are you going to auto bill my wallet every month? What happens to my coins if I can't pay my bill and someone else gets my vanity name and my sister sent me some coins? But I shouldn't be worried... if I don't want my coins, I can trade them in (to you) for good old fashioned gold. This isn't innovation.

Who's benefits? No one except 'stakeholders'. It's just sad that most won't recognize until the scene changes. Appearances. Ok, I admit... this launch might be a good thing somewhat, in setting a higher standard for these scam coins (and that would be based mostly on esthetics; these idiots here are easily fooled)  ... But I hope you know what you're doing - this is dangerous ground for the whole crypto world as it stands today. Hell, maybe MaskCoin's silver standard coin might offer miners a steady paycheck or something to mine coins that never reach their wallet until payday.

And I'm just a nobody... I don't have a failed coin or anything, not my issue with this coin. It's the disguise.

MaskNetwork has a DEFAULT ADDRESS, initially holding the 95.000.000 coins. This default address receives the NETWORK FEES and it's paying the STAKEHOLDERS. This address has no private key, and nobody owns it. DEFAULT ADDRESS=NOBODY. Now :

1. "Offer a store where I pay you to advertise " - When you pay a spot, the coins go to DEFAULT ADDRESS. You don't pay us. You pay a NETWORK FEE.

2. "how about a service to "rent" vanity addresses" - You can register any address for the same price 0.0001 MSK / day. The coins go to the DEFAULT ADDRESS, not to us. It's a NETWORK FEE.

3. "What happens to my coins if I can't pay my bill and someone else gets my vanity name " - The money will go to somebody else.

4. "I can trade them in (to you) for good old fashioned gold" - you can't. We don't buy MSK for gold. This is not GoldenTowns...Smiley

5. "Who's benefits? No one except 'stakeholders'." - Any address holding 25 MSK will receive 25% / year interest paid daily. Even at 1 MSK = 10 USD, any address holding 250 USD will become a 'stakeholder'. There are going to be tons of 'stakeholders'.

Well then - you certainly told me, lol. Thanks for the explanation. At any rate, glad I'm subscribed... but on the sideline tho. Not sure if I want to consume my bandwidth to host a marketplace.

Vod, I want my negative trust removed..
I am a girl!

You think proving you're a female negates the fact that your profile fits that of a scammer?

Good call, Vod.

I'm on here to provide microloans lol

Yet in your posts you "wish you had the money/coins" "wish you could afford" something - and you're providing loans? ha! Aren't you a poor university student? Right. Thought as much.

Wait... why am I even entertaining you?

JennaK -

Just skimmed your previous posts... Girls like you are one of the main reasons we women in this scene catch hell.

You know... there are a few sites out there where you can post your pics and get paid in coins.

But do us a favor while you're here, why don't you (I think I've earned the privilege to speak on the behalf of most ladies here): stop reinforcing the stereotype. Actually, what the hell are you doing on this site anyways? Oh, begging - never mind.

And before you think I'm dismissing this post because I must be some ugly chick (most girls think that way)... I'd shame you if I posted my pic; gorgeous and brains.

Self validate somewhere else please.
358  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: July 24, 2014, 03:40:31 AM
lol. they'll adopt soon and majority of spenders will be girls
this is one concern of our team while developing a bitcoin online shopping website because most of users are male 90% of our 10,000 items are for males  Grin

I totally wish I had the capital to open an online shopping site for us ladies - I'd do it in a heartbeat. Too damn bad I'm into mining... well getting my p2pools up and running. Smiley

What are you guys questioning now?
360  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: July 24, 2014, 03:16:40 AM
Yes they do indeed. In fact, in the US at least, women are usually in charge of finances, so perhaps bitcoin is something more women need to get familiar with.

When you let them know how they can shop their favorite items with it, they will come love it.

Really? Are we here again fellas?
