Friends and Family PayPal payments can most certainly be charged back. Do not believe anyone who says otherwise. They are wrong.

The last time I used PayPal was its not reversible and I even contact there support for this matter. They suggest me to not used that mode of payment if I'm not dealing family because its not eligible for buyer protection. The issue happened around late 2018 or early 2019.

Source: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Disputes-and-Limitations/Can-you-dispute-a-friends-and-family-payment/m-p/842173#M146566

Anyway if you say it and maybe you recently try then it might be true. It will be hassle to used PayPal after all if we are dealing huge chunk of money. Thanks for the input OG.

Indeed. OG, is there any way for you to reveal any general details of this?

Buyer protection is not the same as a chargeback. All the buyer has to do is say they were hacked and PayPal will reverse payment. I’ve seen a lot of users asking me to escrow PayPal and making the false claim that it is safe lately. I would be cautious as a lot of victims can stack up in the time period a chargeback is allowed.

OG is correct, PPFF can be charged back.  There are 2 ways i know of:  1) sender of funds claims unauthorized transaction/account hacked and PP reverses the charge.  2)  Sender files a dispute with the credit card company which funded the paypal transaction, cc company reverses charge with paypal, paypal recovers from receiver of funds.

While there is no "buyer protection" with PPFF the charges can definitely be reversed.

All the above said, I would gladly accept ppff from Agrawas with no concern.

344  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WARNING] Sol Noctis Bull Coin Keys Compromised / Scam on: July 08, 2020, 08:26:22 PM
Almost two months later, do we have more information regarding the Sol Noctis ?
I understand that the loaded amounbt is just about $10, but still it would be great to know what happened.
@Lesbian Cow any news ?

Not really.  As mentioned in my previous post, I shipped the questionable coin to TWC for them to inspect.  I sent 2 packages to Europe that day, they both left NY customs on 25 May.  The other package scanned for the first time in Europe late last week, this one has not yet scanned.  Back in May US parcels to Europe were getting loaded on ships and sitting around on both ends.  I am hoping it shows up in Poland shortly.  I am so sick of the Vids.

I will update when I have an update.

Cheers all!

New bid

1.44BTC

I have add the bid history to first post (only the higher bid, a lot of biders ask for price lower than current bid, but if that interesting I can add this information too).

14h left. Wink

Where are the bids?

I dont see any publicly posted ones?

Thanks!

I'd NEVER bid in a "secret" auction like this.  Bids could be complete BS.... from newbies or shills.... if this had been public, I think more people would have bid on this item.

Agree 100% and it is definitely an item I would be bidding on if this was a public auction.
348  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BEWARE of FAKE CASASCIUS COINS on: June 29, 2020, 10:13:18 PM

All of them were funded as part of the same batch, probably out of the same roll.  That is another positive sign.

The blue tape on the hand in the pictures was also a give away of being in a roll Tongue

Nice eye on the blue tape.

OP, tell the seller to stop touching them with their oily filthy bare hands unless they only touch the rim.  If they are going to be sloppy about their handling they need to wear gloves.

Splurge for the 5 day you cheap bastard.
352  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] USA 55˘ Postage Stamp with the bitcoin Logo! RARE on: June 22, 2020, 12:18:30 AM
I have a custom bitcoin logo drawn in crayon. It is 1 of 1. It is absolutely unique and the only one to ever exist. Only 333 BTC, and that is a STEAL!

Solid offer, if you are successful I can offer 55 shiny US pennies for your newly acquired stamp.
353  Other / Archival / Re: . on: June 21, 2020, 06:57:55 PM
How can these be sold loaded I thought that was illegal?

1.  A gift was sent to them to celebrate the bitcoin halving.  They were sold unloaded.

2.  Stop being such a douche-nozzle.

354  Economy / Reputation / Re: rxalts Auction on: June 21, 2020, 02:29:40 PM
Cancel auction with bids, very bad form, canceling auction with no bids seems perfectly fine.

355  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Tangem wallets on: June 20, 2020, 02:14:47 AM
Oh these are pretty cool. My favorite one is the bitcoin cash card, the future of cryptocurrency.  We had planned on actually making a bitcointalk card with the makers but I guess the project just kind of got put on the back burner.  Would like to see it come to fruition however.

Current plan is to release a 10 year anniversary coin on the forum's 20th anniversary.  Stand by.
356  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] USA 55˘ Postage Stamp with the bitcoin Logo! RARE on: June 19, 2020, 08:10:22 PM
Fair assessment. I can only guarantee the scarcity of the 20 that I know of.

But no risk no reward, and you can make an offer at any amount.

I offer 55 shiny us pennies.

I have sent and received a few 1000 packages over the last few years.  The only 2 lost items involved DHL in the USA.  DHL may be great outside the usa, but they suck in usa.
