OP Don't be worried about it. Taxation is up to you. If you live in a country where the Government has implemented taxes (Capital gain) on Bitcoin transactions, obviously you should be going to pay for it, but if you don't so you don't need to be worried about it.

So you believe them when they say you are going to have self-custody of your funds in the future in a wallet that you own? Don't you think the wallet which they say will be a self-custody wallet will still be under their control and the funds in it wouldn't be completely yours to use without them knowing about it or having any control over it? If that happens, it won't be a centralized system anymore even if it's about a specific percentage of your wealth.

Traditional and central financial institutions will never let you become the owner of your funds and keep them to yourself while you are using their product which you say will be a self-custodial wallet. They wouldn't give you complete access to your funds that way, there will be some way for them to have control or keep an eye on your finances or financial holdings and where you are sending and receiving the funds.

Fiat currencies can get weak due to economic problems and other reasons surrounding the economy of a country, but I don't see any point in your post where you describe the reason why you think fiat currencies will become volatile just like cryptocurrencies because an asset will only get volatile if it has a limited supply and it isn't controlled by a central authority. A country can't let its currency become volatile, it can gain and lose purchasing power, but that's a different thing altogether.

Cryptocurrencies on the other hand will barely become usable on a larger scale for multiple reasons. The very first reason is that countries and their governments won't allow cryptocurrencies to take over because if that happens, they will lose control, and they won't be able to do anything if they lose control because control gives them power.

First needs to understand what halving does first before one starts making investment decisions or creating strategies for it. The halving doesn't reduce the current circulating supply causing a steep rise in the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but it reduces the block reward which means that the increasing supply reduces and not the current supply. So if anyone was expecting to see the market rising right after the halving event, they probably didn't have any knowledge about it or had studied the past of the market.

If the market starts going up right after the halving event or before it, it will only be because a lot of new investors might enter the market knowing that the market would go up after the halving and they will get profit from it, and it wouldn't be because of the halving event itself.

Hmm that's true but I don't understand this mindset. It is understandable for someone to keep holding their assets if they haven't bought them to gain profit with them, but if someone has bought an asset so that they can get some profit from it once it goes up, then it doesn't make sense to keep holding it when they are getting good profits from it even when they know they will get more opportunities for buying at a lower price in the future.

If someone is getting enough profits and they know that the market can start crashing very soon, they shouldn't hold in such situations. They should sell their assets, use some of it if they need and hold the rest of the liquid assets so that they can buy again when the market goes down because we know that Bitcoin moves in a cycle and if there is a bull run, there will be a bear run as well.
