Hi. New member here. Smiley

Read a few pages of topic, but didn't get my answer. Can someone please explain what happened in the recent days? We've had an increase of about $70 for every BTC price in just a few days. As a proud owner of 1.5 BTCs I wanna know what causes that, and do you think the trend will continue or not?

Thanks. Cheesy

In short lots of people have been buying bitcoin. Welcome :-)

3. Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It documentary. According to the producer Torsten Hoffman, the documentary should get approx 100M views worldwide. It will help a lot the education of mainstream users and hopefully change the bad narrative people have over bitcoin.

I think this is out July 14th. Not long now.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: i am starting to turn against bitcoin technology .. on: July 11, 2015, 09:16:53 PM
This is so vague. I am annoyed at myself for reading all of this thread. Shall we change the subject? So.... Greece eh?
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 11, 2015, 05:02:33 PM
i think my days of supporting bitcoin could very well be coming to an end. i have a tendency to turn when i feel wronged. a cashless society is not really a free society.

Bitcoin is like digital cash. Not sure why you suddenly feel it's not right, did someone hack your wallet or something? In any case paper cash is coming to an end in the near future, and I don't see a better alternative than decentralized crypto. Or would you prefer digital FEDcoins?

no my wallet is safe.. most of my coins are in cold storage. that a cashless society is not freedom is one of my arguments. i have a couple other that make the case even stronger. i have been wronged multiple times and it is going to cause me to turn and argue against this technology. i am like everyone else here doing the same thing you all are doing, except i am being wronged.  i always say friends is better than enemies, but if your going to wrong me for no reasons then i am going to turn against this technology because of it...

yeah sorry.. nothing against you all bitcoiners. i am fond of you guys.. i keep having the same problems again and again and it's starting to turn me .. it's really not you bitcoiners fault .

What language is this that you speak? It makes no sense.

We've been going up and stabliling at $10 intervals, today we stabilize at $290s, tomorrow $300. (If the trend continues)
Why tomorrow? It's been stabalising for about a week previously, not 2 days!
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 11, 2015, 02:52:54 PM
When the last time we saw 300? early October 2014?  seems longer lol

January and touched it in March.

Just a little shakeout to offload the bears.

A healthy retrace.  We're coiling. Like a spring.

This is a great arbitrage opportunity.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BITCOIN-XBT.ST still trading at $286 = 1 BTC

How do you buy from that stockholm exchange thingy?
348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 11, 2015, 02:49:32 PM
There are many different ways to describe what's happening here but "too soon" is not one of them.

That is a matter of opinion Smiley

It's only just spiked to 290. I say hold your horses. Your erections will be seen to in time, just let her warm up a little first.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 11, 2015, 02:26:35 PM
$300 resistance is a bitch. Looking like a march repeat...
I think it's too soon. The real rally will come when open bazaar is released for testing (expected in October). My guess is that we will hover between 285-300 for a week and then we will see a sudden sharp spike up to 320 and settle back down around 305-315.

For what its worth,,,,  Last night I was watching on the news an interview with a Greek retailer, his words essentially were: I wont get stuck in this situation again, and I am implementing a means to except crypto currency, so next time when they freeze and or limit withdrawals I can have access to money and my customers can pay me in crypto currency.

He didn't say bitcoin however.... but all roads lead to bitcoin  Wink

Is this video online? I wouldn't mind seeing it?
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BBC suggest bitcoin as "lesser of two evils" on: July 10, 2015, 09:21:56 PM
Lol, it kind of looks like they gave some apprentice a chance to shine.

Lesser of 2 evils doesn't sound good, but when you note that the other evil is current banking/monetary system, that puts Bitcoin in pretty good light.

OP - thanks for sharing.

No worries. The media have been showing voters describing political parties as, "the lesser of two evils", during election campaigns for years. People have become accustomed to choosing the lesser of two evils.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BBC suggest bitcoin as "lesser of two evils" on: July 10, 2015, 04:11:28 PM
The BBC have a short 1 minute video and in it they discuss Greeks turning to bitcoin. I thought it was worth a share.

Check out the hoodlum figure they use to depict the bitcoin holder.

353  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF is happening??? on: July 10, 2015, 09:45:04 AM
BTW: I'm invested into BTC (more than most of you, but that is still peanuts in my portfolio) and LTC (traded most of it for BTC yesterday).

So? Put your penis away. Nobody wants to see it.
354  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF is happening??? on: July 10, 2015, 09:35:27 AM
Lol this is hilarious look at you guys... biggest pump and dump ever playing out and you're holding a party for your future losses?

Does that mean you think there will be a new all time high this time?
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2015, 09:21:45 AM
290+ and hover back down around 280 for another week is my prediction.
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2015, 09:16:14 AM
The bitfinex walls have suddenly shifted to a bearish configuration..sigh. Pesky whale.

EDIT: back to previous shape. No manipulation here Smiley

Wrong! Smiley

Comparison between Gold and Bitcoin, Bullish ?

Are you anticipating  bitcoin to follow suit? Have you positioned yourself to take profit if it does?
358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: July 09, 2015, 12:18:47 PM
Saying it with pictures.

*snip*

So it's going to go fully live in November? Does anyone have a link to something that details and explains how it will work in full? Their site and blog only seems to give the bare bones of it. I'm mostly interested in how they will deal with illegal items being sold on there and how will they censor or remove those things. I mean, I don't have a problem with drugs being sold on there but extreme forms of illegal porn and guns would be a no no.

I think they will be running their own portal and moderating it that way. Presumably bad guys will be running their own portals too.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2015, 12:08:56 PM
Bitcoin is trading oddly at the moment. Highly volatile in a narrow range.

We may be shedding last few bears and profit takers before the next move.

BTC-e doesn't want to bash through $270. But it keeps trying only to be taken back down to $263. And then it slowly repeats.
