341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 20,000,000 tether tokens were created today on: May 28, 2017, 04:46:57 PM
Tether was always sketchy, they are totally transparent yet they don't guarantee anything.
Earlier this year after problems with Bitfinex started 1 tether was traded for 93% of USD value.
If they can create token just like that and won't offer any additional guarantees this crypto is doomed to fail.

342  Economy / Services / Re: ✪Signature Campaign✪[vDice.io]➽Ethereum Blockchain Gambling [Re-opened 4th Mnth] on: May 24, 2017, 04:25:52 PM
I would like to continue with vDice's campaign. Lowered rates are understandable, considering recent amazing price growth.

343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: May 20, 2017, 03:28:24 PM
I am sure that I have seen this news around bitcointalk somewhere, but in case you missed it, it is worth to know -

Town in Austria refuses to accept refugees after 15 years old girl 'brutally raped'. Here is what happened:

"The migrant told arresting officers that his assault of the boy was a 'sexual emergency' because he had not had sex in 4 months,
and didn’t even try to flee the scene of the assault because he thought it was perfectly acceptable behavior."

Apparel if we follow immigrant Muslim's logic, it is better to assault and rape young girls than to jerk off. How twisted belief is that?

344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: May 18, 2017, 05:34:09 PM
By the way, how is process of creating new vDice game going? There wasn't any new updated on vDice blog since 11th April.
AFAIK this game should be around the corner already, as it was advertised to be released mid May.

Also, as others already said - minimum bet requirement needs to be lowered ASAP.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the shitcoin gambling scene dying? on: May 17, 2017, 11:15:52 AM
I think many people after getting pumped n dumped so many times have decided to stick with the real world coins like Ethereum/XRP.
Unless coin is not used by business, merchants, and people for something more than simple speculation it is nothing special than the worst shitcoin.

Bitcoin has pretty much hit its potential maybe a 2x left in it.... But I believe it will eventually be overtaken by XRP.
How do you know that bitcoin has reached its potential? If you think that Ripple, a coin created by corporations and Banks will be better than sovereign coin like BTC, think twice.
This is for many functional reasons but also because XRP is regulated while becoming decentralized.
Bitcoin can be regulated as well, we can see adoption growing, Japan accepted BTC as legal payment method, Australia will do the same in July.

346  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hackers threaten to release stolen 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' on: May 16, 2017, 07:42:40 PM
Who cares? It will be on the piratebay eventually whether they release it before its premiere or not. I also don't think there is a real hype for this movie at all. It is a light popcorn movie and people who wait for it will most likely see it in a cinema rather than downloading it from the pirate bay.

WD won't pay them, still a nice try though.
Well, it is a huge deal. All movies are eventually pirated and can be found online.
But it is 'natural' process, first you have only access to poor copy, shaky cam version of the picture recorded at the movies.
Next you have DVD rip and eventually Blue-Ray rip version - usually takes months for BRRip to be released.
If hacked version of the movie is good enough it might significantly decrease box office earnings.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETC a good coin to invest in ? on: May 15, 2017, 06:12:20 PM
is ETC A Better coin to invest in than ETH ?
If we look into the market cap, ETH have much more volume than ETC and have a big difference in market growth every 24 hours.
So for me its better to invest into ETH than ETC and remember ETC is a hard fork of ETH.
So following your logic the best coin to invest is Bitcoin, because it has the highest market capitalization.

It is the other way around, it is ETH which is hard fork of original Ethereum, hence the name - ETC, Ethereum Classic.
is ETC A Better coin to invest in than ETH ?
Of course yes, ETC is better than ETH because ETC is original of ethereum blockchain,
it is good for long term investments into ETC but for short (trading)
i choose ethereum ETH because the movement of price is good,
so depend on you do you will make investments for long or short.
Have you ever wondered why ETH is worth near $100 and ETC is stuck under $10 despite being original and better coin?
ETH is the new strain and version backed by Ethereum Foundation and developed by Vitalik - it is considered to be superior version.

348  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make a GOOD prediction? on: May 14, 2017, 02:40:36 PM
Could it BTC or any other crypto, how do you make a good prediction?
What information do you collect, from where and -if there is any- what scientifically proven formula do you use?
I also would be interested in your success rates. Success is, when your prediction comes true.

Unlike equities, there is no fundamental analysis that can be done in the crypto space.
The only thing you can do is technical analysis, looking for patterns in the price chart.
Technical analysis can be only viable in certain cases, mostly because technical indicators are too slow to evaluate rapidly changing crypto market - there is too much lag in price and volume.
RSI, MACD, OBV all lags. At the time RSI will generate good buy signal price might be pumped to the moon and back.

The purest signal is the PRICE. Other useful indicators are trend lines, candle and chart patterns and resistance zones. That is basically all you need.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any advice for altcoin day trading? on: May 13, 2017, 12:55:23 PM
Op, stop with day trading. Don't do it unless you have bot established which will do it for you.
It is time consuming and profits (unless you are willing to invest thousands of dollars) will be pitiful - you will earn couple thousand satoshis.

You need to understand that trading is not a win-win game. It is like in gambling, someone needs to lose so other can profit.
The longer you will trade the higher chances you will lose money.

As other said already, concentrate on swing trading or, even better, on position trading.
350  Economy / Gambling / Re: Goldenstar Bitcoin Casino on: May 12, 2017, 08:49:44 PM
Well, it sure looks professional enough for me. The main problem is that Goldenstar is originally a fiat casino and they require a lot of personal data...
I read their privacy policy FAQ and all users need to know that proof of age is required to register, and Goldenstar may ask for:
Credit card number, Photo of the credit card, Passport scan copy or some additional data - I expect they will collect this data even if you play with BTC.
So, be warned, play only if you are ready for some heavy KYC.
351  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VIDEO: PRO-MIGRANT FRENCH ASKED TO HOUSE A REFUGEE; ALL REFUSE on: May 11, 2017, 10:50:38 AM
Do you know how many Muslim immigrants are in France now? Approximately 6 million.
Do you know how many of them are working? Less than 800 thousand!
Of course, we have elderly and children among them too, bu that doesn't change the fact that most of healthy young men and women choose to do nothing and collect social benefits.
It is a huge problem for economy of France, french government loses billions of €uro yearly because of that.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: xrp ripple - Today I was robbed on: May 11, 2017, 10:36:53 AM
adam cmiel wallet owner(ripple) in the google play stole me 91 xrp  ripple.
Is this a troll thread? 91 XRP is like $1 worth of Ripple, its a good sign to abandon Ripple once and for all.
The only wallet I know of developed by Adam Cmiel is a ripple wallet for iPhone.
I never used it and I have no idea whether it is a legit software.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP prone to speculation? on: May 10, 2017, 01:48:17 PM
Ripple is not true cryptocurrency it is a centralized system with central authority backing it. They are controlling large portion of ripple tokens as well.
It's hard to say that price of Ripple is organic, most likely not. We had two massive pumps in the past and right after initial euphoria price was always gravitating towards bottom line.
Currently we have another big pump, I expect patter will be the same this time as well.
354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to avoid the depreciated local currency and Exchange control? on: May 10, 2017, 01:25:58 PM
Hi, i know some of country facing depreciated local currency and Exchange control.

Are you talking about countries with weak economy where fiat money is hyperinflating?
What exchanges are you talking about BTC to Fiat or something else?

but i try some online payment, they always charge high rate when i make a transfer or withdraw.and they will charge some hidden fee.
What online payment are you using? Fiat based centralized service?
If you are not pleased with the terms of this service just stop using it, find another one, there is more way to transfer your money that just one service.

so any better options which charge low rate?
Yes using cryptocurrency. Unfortunately if you are looking for near zero fees then Bitcoin is not an option anymore as standard transaction will cost you almost $1. (55k satoshi)
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Word of warning - pump groups pumping obscure altcoins, it's a scam (lol) on: May 10, 2017, 12:58:49 PM
guadalahara but you never said how you were scammed or lost money? If the pump were advertised and planned and executed well then you should earn money from it.
So what happened? Are you simply angry that such practice is being used? It is nothing new, I've seen many types of pumping squads, communities and circles.
That is why I stay away from shitcoins.
356  Economy / Economics / Re: Nobody Can Have Benefit From a Big Pump on: May 09, 2017, 10:05:56 PM
At first, there were some problems "on the blockchain", now we have some staff working on these nonexistent issues to resolve them. What staff are you talking about? Apart from that, stuck transactions and slow confirmation times have more to do with Bitcoin miners deliberately refusing to confirm transactions (in an effort to scrounge higher fees). Obviously, this has nothing to do with exchanges allegedly withholding withdrawals in times of above average price volatility

Are you joking? Stuck transactions are due to the blocksize limit, FFS. Miners aren't scrounging fees, they're unable to keep up with the volume because they can only process 1MB every block interval.
Bitcoin network is being spammed. All legit uses of the blockchain are currently 750k/block average.
Rest is unsanctioned use e.g. spam or other useless data hidden in the blocks.

If we had some way to sort microtrasaction/filter spam then half megabyte block would be more that sufficient.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges are the real 'cancer' to Crypto and not Miners on: May 09, 2017, 09:38:55 PM
However, on the other hand you cannot dictate what an exchange does or do. They can inwardly manipulate the price by making a statement that they were under attack and coins are stolen by hackers. What then do investors do?
Inside job is always a possibility. I still believe that the hack of Bitfinex was not an outside attack. Mt.Gox case is also very suspicious and bizarre.

I still think that keeping big and prosperous exchange going is more profitable for the owner in the long run.

We need to remember that cryptocurrency phenomena is still a new concept, we don't have laws and rules set.

In the end I expect that exchanges will be no different that current banks, fully regulated, licensed and controlled to certain point.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin update coming on: May 09, 2017, 09:22:10 PM
What about DOGETH?

https://yobit.net/en/trade/DOGETH/BTC

Seems to have picked up in the last 48 hours.
This is a bastard son of DOGE and ETH. A futile way of kicking a dead body of DOGE by merging it with ETH blockchain.
Kinda interesting from the technical point of view, but otherwise totally irrelevant attempt to revive DOGE IMO.

I do think there is no future for DOGE, but I thought the same about LTC and I am positively surprised. So I will wait and see.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the right number of BTC to own in order to become rich in 10 years?? on: May 09, 2017, 08:49:24 PM
$10M CAD would be enough for me.

Mind you, that could change if the Canadian dollar continues to devalue.

I don't really sweat it though because I keep the bulk of my monetary wealth in Bitcoin.

When I bought my first bitcoins, the USD and the CAD were at par. Over the years my coins have not only earned me an obscene amount on their own growth but also an additional 30% as a safe haven against CAD devaluation. Win-win.
I still think that it will be US dollar to fall first, maybe not now but in 10-20 or more years it is serious possibility.
Canada seems to have more stable currency.

I share your opinion, I keep majority of my investment frozen in bitcoin.
Everyone tells me: why don't you diversify your investment portfolio and keep only a small fracture of money in Bitcoin?
It is so volatile, it can fall, there is no guarantee etc.

I usually answer them that storing fiat will only prevent inflation. Bitcoin from the other hand can bring me fortune in the future.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: long term 1+ year: Litecoin or Ethereum classic? on: May 08, 2017, 12:50:31 PM
Answer yourself - why would some business/merchant/service pick ETC over ETH? There is no way that ETC will be adopted, which is main reason for coin value to grow.
Meanwhile LTC  adoption grows, because SegWit activation and exchange adoption (Coinbase just accepted it).

I expect that in the future top 3 crypto will be BTC, ETH and LTC.
