341  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock market tanking away to day. on: October 03, 2014, 11:52:19 AM
BTC is dying, but good news around the corner, US stock market is about to collapse, just read at http://www.businessinsider.com/the-us-stock-market-is-now-at-a-critical-juncture-2014-10

342  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin prices are always very unstable on: October 03, 2014, 11:45:49 AM
One word.....CHINA

Anyone have any tips in spotting chinese bull traps? Besides the obvious volume rise, I have yet to see any other ways of spotting them
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PPC] Peercoin Official Thread: NuBits Has Been Unveiled on: October 02, 2014, 11:15:05 PM
There's shaken confidence in ppc right now and the fact that nubits has to be utilized for PPC to have real value. also consumers don't want to pay high ppc prices so nushare holders get better prices.
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: October 02, 2014, 11:03:18 PM
Regardless of the rest of the day aside, I guess BTC will be at 350ish before this week end. We'll see what happens at 350, it could go lower. If a huge rebound were in the cards, it would have already happened by now. Still crossing my fingers though.
345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation of why Bitcoin price is falling. on: October 01, 2014, 10:02:09 AM
Price goes down because supply is greater than demand.

Demand is on a long term steady increase, supply varies based on how aggressively miners are selling.

Right now, we are in the aftermath of massive capital expenditure on mining gear, which people are desperately trying to get some ROI

At the same time, too many merchants just converting their BTC to fiat. Its when the merchants start holding that we really start moving up, or when Paypal offers BTC —> USD services, buyer protection, etc then people will use it. I think a lot of people are too scared to use btc now

I will take the chance, count me in
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Serious Altcoin Discussion/News Thread - No FUD, Shilling or Trolling. on: October 01, 2014, 09:32:19 AM
the alt scene is dead, who care anymore

Not yet, alt coins are already like small companies. The massive problem in alt coins is POW which will always make your coins less in comparison to the supply and relying on donations for essential services
348  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption slowing; Coinbase + Bitpay is enough to make Bitcoin a fiat on: September 30, 2014, 11:04:09 PM
I think the only way bitcoin adoption can really grow at this point is only if BTC become useful for something. Nobody wants to invest on something such risky now.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do you people sell at these price? on: September 30, 2014, 10:43:09 PM
I am selling my coins over $1000 or not selling at all, no matter if it goes to 0. Having BTC feels like being on a guaranteed financial rocket, it will change your life in the future.

350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: September 30, 2014, 10:29:50 PM
LTC is doing good lately, coinbase and bitpay will probably add it soon, otherwise they will lose paypal market share against gocoin

I think LTC will soar after that paypal integration is somewhat complete, the digital sales are just the beginning.
351  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin prices are always very unstable on: September 30, 2014, 02:02:24 PM
because it's not distributed right, and there is plenty of manipulations going on, on each exchange

Agreed, this is obviously whale manipulation, and if I had the kinda btc they had I would do the same thing. But remember, they are making money off you, and at some point of their choosing they will pump BTC sky high
352  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is becoming ridiculous on: September 30, 2014, 01:56:16 PM
Every day I wake up seeing more news on Bitcoin adoption, and yet everyday I go to sleep knowing btc price is lower. Unreal.

$381 on bitcoinaverage now.

What do you think it will take to get back to $1000? fall in the stock market? amazon news? people dumping alibaba and buying btc?

It will be amazing if btc jump back to $1000, and we will be remembering when it was under $400 Smiley
353  Economy / Services / Re: Get Up to 0.024BTC every week on your signature! [EXTRA 0.001 on Each Referral] on: September 30, 2014, 01:36:18 PM
Received my weekly payment ontime as always, many thanks Coinbroker it's very appreciated
354  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy and Hold Bitcoin untill next halving time on: September 29, 2014, 11:30:03 PM

I agree with you, I am not selling bitcoin anymore. I don't care if we could drop a little more by tomorrow or next week, I think the risk is not worth the reward at this point
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Without huge buy on 9.23.2014 where would the price be today? on: September 27, 2014, 07:57:32 AM
I think we are near the bottom. most of the volatility left is to the upside. I call the bottom at bitcoin bouncing at around $350, but I am already all-in

bottom is 392 or thereabouts

Who knows if and when it will stop falling, but at this point we're all stuck in it, waiting to go up to sell, which make the price dump again when it happens Smiley
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: September 27, 2014, 07:55:00 AM
We're still going down and still for sometimes. There're 2 ways to win this game, the first is not playing, the second is to play very long term, and you're lucky enough if you entered bitcoin after a huge dump from last year, so we may go up in the next year!
357  Economy / Economics / Re: Anybody on here trade stocks and bitcoin? on: September 27, 2014, 07:48:44 AM
I used to trade stocks but then I switched to crypto. Trading crypto makes stocks look so boring. Who has time to wait a decade for something to double when you can invest in an alt coin and watch it quadruple in one hour
358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: hello i new user and i want ask about starting on: September 27, 2014, 07:41:48 AM
He's obviously new to bitcoin and asking for some help. I think right now bitcoin is still too confusing for regular people, it needs to become easier, somebody needs to make very easy software to use with bitcoin
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Emergency Warning: Buy bitcoin before it's too late! on: September 27, 2014, 07:38:12 AM
Well, the lower it goes, the higher it will eventually bounce. If the super cycle plays out the way it did the last time crypto rocketed, then $350 is the bottom 1/3 of the last high. Let's see it play that way again. I think we are shooting for $500 BTC in the next week
360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Bitcoin prices will stabilize $400 for a long time yet? on: September 27, 2014, 12:47:20 AM
BTC already bottomed once at about $350 in April 2014. That level just needs to be tested one more time to determine the bottom. I have already bet that it is.

Actually BTC only needs to go up to $500 to start another massive panic buying bubble
